:: As the black lightning bore down upon him from all sides, he acted as calm and collective as possible. Quickly lifting a shield around his body he stood there as the light blue electric looking energy surrounded him. He scoffed upon her as he continued to speak. ::

"Oh come on you sadistic bitch! I have had about enough of your shit! If you are going to end the world, end the fucking world already and leave me the fuck al-..."

:: His sentences stopped. It was almost as if a button had been pushed in Prophet's mind as he became increasingly "Stepford" looking. Deep within his mind he knew exactly was going on. Telepaths could definitely sense when they were attempting to be control and had this been another telepath, Cameron would have easily shoved them out of his mind and destroy their own mind. But this wasn't mental power that he was dealing with, this was magick and while he had his own magickal capabilities now, they were miniscule in the amounts that Morgan was possessing right now. Cameron stopped talking and when that happened, every single person noticed it as it was something that almost never happened. Prophet found himself walking forward towards the Sorceress as he knelt down before her, not uddering a word when he wanted to punch in her too big for her britches ASS, but he could not. He was trying with all of his might to fight the mind control as Telepaths were MUCH more equipped magickal or not at taking control of anothers mind. But then again he felt like he could not use his powers at all. He SO hated Morgan Victoria at this moment, but he didn't feel actual anger, hatred or rage. He felt pity and sorrow for her. Cameron would ALWAYS be arrogant, it was a character trait that had gotten him very far in life and he would not turn it off for anyone. That was part of the reason that Spellbinder had such a BONER for him and the fact that he was a man. She was so insecure in herself and her own life that she lashed out at others. Cameron had discerned this from the moment he met her. Alot of people thought Cameron was less than intelligent, but anybody who knew him well, KNEW that knowing when stocks would fall or rise wasn't going to get anyone where Cameron King stood today. It took intelligence and business savvy and now here stood the two most Influential Business People in the entire room fighting it out in the biggest Boardroom that both of them had ever been in. Right now, Morgan appeared to have the upper hand, but Morgan herself knew that whenever Cameron seemed to be in the GRIPS of death, someone ended up saving him, and that deep down was something that Morgan was never really sure of if the event happened to herself. ::

<< she looked down. but there was no facial expression....only the glowing red eyes that shown through the eye slit in the face plate. standing tall and posed...the cold, aura of her being touched Cameron...slowly washing over him like a fog does a harbor>>

You have had this coming for quite some time boy. This is for all the women that you have EVER disrespected....including your sister....whom you dont DESERVE to have in your misbegotten bloodline.

<< raising the soul sword above her head...gripping it with both hands>>

DIE by my hand cameron King...and say hello to your MOTHER....you pitifull INSECT

<< the din of the flames from the sword began to grow louder....as the sword gleamed and sparkled....Spellbinder laughed softly as the winds began to swirl in the clouds above...as she brought the sword down with a mighty swing......>>

<< Karen emerged from the darkness of a corner within the mouth of the plateau>>

NO Morgan! Not even HE deserves death.

<< spreading her cape out behind her Karen snaps her fingers a chiming/harp sound is heard as she "snatchs" cameron from certain death...moving him back to where he was before. UNABLE to break Morgan's mystical hold on him...she at least bought him more breathing time>>

the power you weild is phenomenal my daughter and I'm not here...to try to out power you. Maybe thats where HE messed up....but I am your MOTHER. I'm here to HELP YOU....so is Ororo.

<< she stepped forward slowly..she had gotten her daughter's attention....and she was VERY carefull to keep her tone even and soft...as her cape and the skirt of her flying suit blew in the breeze...she pushed some of her hair out of her face>>

I know youre angry...VERY angry with him...and you have every right to be. He has done nothing but blight your path since you met him. But for this moment..let me...talk to you....okay??

<< she slowly stepped forward a bit more...with a calm...genuine look in her wintery elegant face>>

<< Turning to her mother...and hissing with contempt as she waved the sword menacingly...she didnt attack straight away....she stopped...for a moment....and listened to her mother's voice....which seemed to flow and echo in the air....>>

<< she stood fast...but slowly began to lower the sword....her posture becoming less and less offensive>>

::Ororo had cloaked herself with a spell...weaving a very STRONG spell so that she might slip by Spellbinder's immediate range unnoticed::

::thinking:: Blessed Goddess....Karen is REACHING her daughter...the mother/daughter bond its stronger than any magick...and Karen has made SURE to stay out of morgan's immediate notice until now. I only pray that she can keep her occupied long enough

::quitely moving along...she reaches the alter...and begins to quietly and carefully undue the mystic binds on the baby cameron....::

I cannot afford one misstep...the first priority is to get the child out of harm's way...and then, to throw the orb at Morgan...

::she continues to slowly undue the dark and oppressive binding that holds the baby hostage::

<< Karen hesitantly smiles...as he daughter seems to listen to her...stepping forward...a bit at a time...as the winds continue to blow...all is silent around the area...as chimes play faintly>>

thats right Morgan...its mother! all is calm now....no one will attack you....put down your sword....and let me help you. Together we can take away the pain....the anger.

<< she nods slowly...with a reassuring smile on her face to her daughter her eyes briefly checking over to the alter....knowing that Ororo was trying to free the baby cameron....but there was still the matter of N'astirh who was a magick weilding techno organic creature.....and no slouch by any means. she breathed slowly..not showing any outward signs of nervousness>>

nothing that has happened...is permanent...and you're still my little girl. put down your sword...and come to mother.

<< she lowered her sword even more....as her solid red eyes seemed to glow less brightly....and her stance became less agressive>>

......mother??

<< Spellbinder seemed a bit awkard and hesitant at the moment....as she stood still...almost as if she didnt know what to do>>

Mother....I....

<<she felt a calm...and safe feeling welling in her dark soul...a familiar feeling of warmth and stablility that she had long ago with her mother....it was starting to rise in her now...despite everything else. the bond between a mother and her child was the strongest link between any two people....and Karen seemeed to be deftly using it as well as her keen skill as a therapist to calm Morgan down....just long enough >>

** Foxfire awaited an attack from Spellbinder but found that impossible and instead received a stern warning from her sister. Blaze's dark features lite up into a small source of a smile. Perhaps there was just a tiny smudge of humanity within her sister, she didn't attack Foxfire like Shockwave, Erika, and now Prophet. Standing her ground, Blaze thought of a plan to speak with Morgan. **

** However she felt another odd sensation run through her body, but she figured it was Prophet calling onto her power. Her ears finely tuned a pair of boots running towards her, whipping her head around she saw Alexis running towards her. What was she doing? The force and momentum of Alexis tackling into Foxfire knocked her down roughly. Gasping for air, Blaze looked for answers within the Meta Human's eyes. Shockwave easily climbed onto Blaze, who was beginning to control her breathing. **

"What are you doi..."

** She stopped herself when she felt Alexis' hands caress her cheek bones, collecting her energy source. Ripples of skin and blue veins surfaced to the surface on her skin with her mouth left a gap from shock and surprise. Blaze couldn't shove her comrade away, she didn't have the energy. Images hit Blaze like a truck, various people she didn't know or recognize. Shutting her eyes, she grabbed a hold of her head in pain. Rolling to her side, more flashbacks sliced into her from Shockwave's past. Shaking it off, Blaze inhaled another breath. Pushing her hands firmly onto the ground, she tried to push herself up. Collapsing back down, Blaze took the option of laying there. **

"What have you done...to...me!"

** Blaze's eyes morphed into the same shade as Alexis' blue orbs. Blinking them, they returned to her own emerald green. She felt utterly exhausted like she fought the hardest battle and than ran a marathon. It dawned on her, Shockwave had protected her...watched over her. **

"Thank you Alexis."

** She said weakly, she understood Shockwave's intentions were good. She did however smirk to herself. Although she was drained, she would have the memory of Alexis sitting on top of her forever, even if she was draining her energy, it was worth it! She was half tempted to make a sarcastic comment but opted out. Glancing back up, she turned to see Karen calming Morgan, a positive sign. She prayed Dr. Victoria could keep it up. The more Blaze lay on the ground, small ounces of energy revitalized itself just enough for her to sit up. **

** Massaging her forehead, Blaze didn't bother moving much. She stayed sitting in the Indian position. Shockwave's touch took a lot out of the mutant. But she would recover in time. For now, all eyes were on Karen and Morgan.

a flury of flames in the conclusion

<< even as things seemed to calm...there would be one last frightening , WHITE HOT explosion of violence and fury...with one last mad act of vengeance. Lives are lost...while others are saved....innocence is preserved in some cases and restored in others....but as the Inferno climaxes in its fiery fury....only when the flames finally burn out and the ashes fall from the sky will the city begin to return to its former state....citizens will recover and eventually "forget"....and the surviving memebrs of the six...once again pull themselves together...having been brought closer together through adversity that they helped to create in the first place>>

<< lessons are learned...and fears are laid to rest....but as one nightmare chapter closes...another new chapter with hopes, dreams and NEW nightmares will begin>>
