The Access Tunnel: Haleigh Davidoff

Haleigh thanked Cameron for removing the webbing from her suit, as she continued to run down the tunnel. It might have seemed strange to an outsider, these two, running quickly as though being chased... but discussing between them the desire to take someone's life as though they were discussing a movie they'd like to see or what they'd have for dinner.... to Haleigh... it was the most natural thing in the world... and it was nice at least for her to be with someone she could relate to... Hell knows if she had been stuck back there with anyone else of their group... they MIGHT have made it out alive.... but they'd likely be trying to kill each other while they were running off. Haleigh slowed and nodded, pulling a P22 from her shoulder holster and scoping out the new surroundings as he concentrated. Haleigh watched him closely... he seemed to leave entirely for a minute... only to return unsettled.

"What is it? What's wrong.... what did you see?"

Level 4 - T Intersection

"ARGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!"

** Blaze unleashed a ferocious scream of pain as the zombies bit into her neck, drawing blood down her neck. Eight of them were strong and powerful. She had been distracted by her sister's reply in her mind. **

Foxfire.......take care.....Black is alive and well.....and lumbering throughout out the citadle...looking for you as we speak! I'm in the hangar....but ill be alright....dont you worry.....I...

** But it was cut off from Spellbinder's end of it all. Flashing her sharp white teeth, Blaze spun around yanking the closest zombies earlobe, tearing it off easily. With a look of disgust, she narrowed her eyes to shoot a beam of flames at the undead. Catching two of them as the other six surrounded her in a huddle. Blaze's body caught on fire as she morphed into a fire Scorpio. Snapping her giant claws she clicked them together, pinching them around one of the zombies throat, just as her poisonous tail thrashed inside its skull. The fallen zombie crashed to the floor, stunned as the deadly poison took its affect. The other zombies caught fire due to Foxfire's blazing form. Just then she morphed into her human form, Backflipping away from them. Her hands appearance altered into giant bastard swords with flaming tips. Pivoting on her feet, she decapitated the three of them. **

"Ugh!"

** She stopped her pace to rub her wounded neck. Her eyes glazed over to a haunting blue tint with icy flakes. Her bite had healed over the epidermis, revealing a dry slit instead. Stained blood marked her neck line but she was all right. Her immune system worked to compensate for the virus. Luckily for Blaze she had been introduced to this already, leaving not much affect upon her. But the realization of BLACK crept fear into Blaze Fielding. **

"Black! No, he cannot get to me again!"

** Her voice filled with a soft frightened tone, she turned to sprint down the hallway, leaving behind a pile of ash and dust. She stopped at the T intersection, another path to follow but which one? Blaze turned down the left when an image of Black struck her mind. **

"NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!"

** She screamed in agony, having a hallucination of him. Crumbling to the floor, she slide on the floor to get up. Her palms and boots kept slipping along the floor. Blaze shut her eyes, terrified to watch any longer. The hairs covering her body rose on its ends like a disturbed cat. Her animalistic nature was also affected by this too. Her fists balling tightly when she opened her eyes. This time she saw nothing but a plain hallway. Getting up, she was angry at herself for her failure. Her fear of such a creature, but then again who wasn't? Blaze knew Black also haunted her sister too. It was their own nightmare, some being who made there skin crawl. They'd both have to deal with this, if they wanted to survive. **

« Cameron was completely lost in his vision. It all seemed so real and tangible as if he could put out his hand and touch the figures. As he came down from the premonition he fell to the ground and began to cough extremely hard as he was bothered by a loud ringing in his ears, which almost always happened. This was a strong flash. There was nothing they could do at all. Haleigh and Cameron were stuck. »

"Ok... «Coughs» I saw us running to the end of the tunnel to what seems to be the hangar dock...There were what appeared to be things left over from a struggle. Some kind of demon or what I am sensing is a mage is going to attack. He is a LOT more powerful than you or I Haleigh. I saw our souls... on FIRE..."

« He gave Haleigh a look of impending doom and frustration as he continued to cough from the pain of the vision. Usually they never hit him that hard and it was rare for him to be so woozy after one. Cameron turned his head as he spit out of wad of blood and clammered to his feet. He didn't know what to do. They couldn't do anything. Even if they went back the Ant Lions would attack. They had to choose one extreme or the other. »

"Hales.. I think we're stuck..."

The Hanger Dock: Eva Valentine

*She rolled her eyes to herself, while taking small, quick glimpses at the creatures behind Alison. As she stared straight at one she soon found herself in pitch blackness, before they reappeared again. This time it was just herself, Alexis and Alison in what looked to be the loading area above the Citadle's depths. She could instantly hear commotion and blasts coming from up ahead of them as Alison explained what exactly was going on. Eva nodded her head and watched Alison take off without them, shrugging her shoulders to Alexis as she took off after the girl. Finally arriving at the Hanger, she stopped and looked up at the four remaining monsters while Rabbit finished mowing down one of them. A second had decided to attack her as Alexis proceeded to intercede the attack and backfire it on the creature. Her ears twitched as she heard other footsteps in the hanger bay, someone else was here, but that train of thought was sorely interrupted by the ground's sudden tremoring. Looks like those two were having fun.*

"Hey Rabbit...thanks for clearing out the hole for us."

*She turned her head to the other three creatures heading towards them and smiled, figuring she'd help take out these before they got too close. Eva ran and front flipped into the air as she soared up, keeping out of close physical range of the creatures, her swirls erupting in metallic blue sparks as the area around them got severly cold, giant masses of ice cold clouds forming overhead as she held her arms above her head. She waited for the right moment and dropped them, a bombardment snowstorm came smashing down onto the creatures, knocking right into them causing a few dents and breaks in the armor they were wearing. The snow melted into the cracks while the air helped to harden and expand the cracks, eventually leading the breakdown of whatever armor they were wearing, not to mention freezing their limbs stiff as a pole if they were susceptible to it, giving them a few moments to react. She quickly looked over at Alexis and yelled.*

"Hey Al...I could use some bolt power over here, make some icicles out of these suckers."

:: As the blinding light from her exploding shockwave illuminated the hanger dock, Alexis squinted her eyes while turning her head to the side a bit, trying to avoid being blinded. Once the lights faded, Alexis once again turned her head and opened her eyes, looking at the obliterated wall. Turning, she saw Eva head off towards the other three creatures, creating a snow like attack, freezing the creatures in place. Hearing her ask Alexis for assistance, Alexis simply waved her hand as bolts of electricity shot throughout the bodies of the creatures. Once the electricity made contact with the ice, it was like it had a mind of it's own, feeding off the liquid and instantly frying the creatures. Although Alexis questioned whether the electricity would even make a dent in the creatures, seeing as how it looked like Spellbinder threw one of them into an electrically charged track of some sort, and it came back to attack her without hesitation. Keeping her eyes fixated on the creatures, smoke emitted from their charcoal colored bodies, sending a musty odor of burnt flesh into the air. ::

"Careful Eva...those things might not be dead."

:: Alexis spoke calmly--her voice echoing throughout the now quiet dock. Stepping forward, the heals from her boots made a soft tapping sound on the concrete flooring. Tucking a few fallen strains of blonde hair behind her ear, she scanned her eyes around the massive room, lifting her head upward, studying how high the ceilings went. Lowering her head back down, she stopped walking, and turned around to face the three woman. Only a couple of yards ahead of them, she wasn't looking for anything in particular, but just studying her surroundings, and the contents of the dock. ::

the Hangar dock

<< Spellbinder prepared to defend herself with a mystic shield, but Shockwave's timely intervention and reversal of the attack more than dealt with the massive reptilian creature.>>

<< as Tempest unleashed a barrage of snow and ice, coupled by Shockwave's electrical assist....the two more feral creatures that appeared to be genetic splices of bears, gorillas and humans with freakishly large size and super strength/speed....were ravaged by the lethal combo of ice and electricity..as their bodies pulsated..and splattered at random areas......releasing a horrible stench, spraying genetically altered flesh, blood and plasma all around...and leaving smokey piles of cellular mass where the creactures once stood.>>

<< clearly Shockwave and Tempest had considerable power, next to Spellbinder and Guardian.....these four women would surely be able to handle what was yet to come......or whould they?>>

<< just as Spellbinder landed, and was about to thank Shockwave.....a massive juggernaut creature.....a hybrid of a rhino with the shell of a tortoise on its back...and a humanoid shapped head with a massive horn and glowing eyes suddenly loomed up behind them...so close and beared down upon them with its massive stoney fists..intending to crush them.>>

LOOK OUT!

<< Spellbinder grabbed hold of Shockwave's arm...and immediately launched forward and up into the air.....curving over the creature and flying back a fair distance before landing>>

<< at the same time, Guardian could be seen moving into view...taking action against the creature

the hangar bay & dock

:: Shockwave and Alexis dispatched two of the creatures, while Spellbinder finished off the one that originally attacked her. just as things seemed to settle.....the largest of the creatures...a genetic hybrid of rhino, tortoise and human with a thick stoney hide, a tortoise shell and a humanoid head with a horn and glowing eyes moved in to pulp Shockwave and Spellbinder::

::running forward, just as Spellbinder grabbed Shockwave and flew them out of harm's way, Guardian stopped a few feet in front of the creature::

HEY!!

:: as it turned and roared..and began stampeding towards her, Guardian gestures like Piper...only with extra tenacity......as she unleashes a powerful blast of temporal/molecular acceleration........causing the creature to stop in its tracks and began spinning around ...it roars with disoriented agony..as explosions began to radiate from its body at random points...sending chuncks of stoney flesh flying every which way....soon the explosions occur with "machine gun fire" speed...as the sound blasts and reverberates throughtout the dock....its chaotic and climatic as the crature finally explodes in one final, ballistic blast....its radius expands several feet..and the concussive force rocks all the women backward...but as the flurry of power subsides......and the smoke clears........Guardian now has a clear view of Shockwave and Spellbinder, with Tempest a few feet to the side of her::

:: regaining her stance, she exhaled slowly...as dust and smoke floated through the air...and stone flesh still sprinkled down to the ground::

alright.......we must move forward. Foxfire is 4 floors below, and Black is closing in on her. Adam and Christopher are hidden within the Citadle, but Imagiomg, their mage, is blocking my scrying power......we will have to assume they are hidden in the most fortified area of the Citadle....the Inner Sanctum ...on the 10th floor....we must find them...and deal with them and seal this place off from the surface.

::the fact that someone was powerful enough to BLOCK the magicks of Guardian should NOT have sat well with the others. this meant that there were foes in this fortress that were on a whole new level of power and could pose lethal danger to them all.::

:: Guardian pointed to the steel double doors::

we've got to get past those doors...and once inside, Spellbinder can cast a cloaking spell......to mask us from any mechanical sensors...as well as any wandering infected humans or other creatures.

we have made it this far..and clearly our power has allowed us to prevail...where the LACK of power and regard for others that has sealed the doom of Prophet and Black Widow. My sight as a precog has allowed me to see their deaths since we first entered the medical office above ground, but their foolish pride and lack of sense prevented them from realizing the danger.

:: Guardian spoke with an even, cold tone...very analytical and without any compassion or remorse for having left Haleigh and Cameron behind to face the AntLions. Though she knew that Imagiomg was closing in...due to her earlier actions, these four women would NOT be here to be painfully captured by him.::

:: once again..the sounds of hydraulic shifting could be heard...as massive bursts of steam jetted out from several vents high above near the ceiling...the Citadle seemed to be shifting once more as the earth around it was straining from the explosions and quakes from the massive energy feedback hours earlier::

time grows short....we must hurry.

Steel double door entrance to the inner floors of the Citadle

<< Spellbinder ran her hand through her hair as she shook herself a bit after the last battle.>>

<< in an icy voice>>: ....thank you alexis ...and you eva.

<< it was not in her nature to show warmth or grattitude to others....but their timely intervention made a world of difference in this last confrontation with these horrific creatures>>

<< hearing Guardian's words, Spellbinder nodded>>

Foxfire is in pain......mental distress, i can feel it. We have to get down there and get her before Black does......

<< she stopped herself from saying any more on Black...KNOWING that he was immune to her magickal power and that she would HAVE to depend on Tempest and Shockwave for assistance. though she had her flight, wind, superstrength and stepping discs.....Black nearly killed her the last time they met.....what would happen THIS time??>>

and then....I have to DESTROY Christopher! << she didnt comment on Adam...for she knew that would be Alexis' pleasure to destroy him!

<< Eva, Morgan and Alexis had all had their lives severly blighted by these two men...and now..they were getting closer and closer to the ultimate reckoning....along with Guardian, their power gave them a fair chance at destroying this evil.....but even now, it was too soon to rest on any laurels...>>

<< Spellbinder walked up to the doors...and placed her hands between the small split between them... standing taller than all the other women, even Guardian...Spellbinder looked up the length of the massive thick doors....and then...she exerted her super strength...as the wall began to shake...and she gritted her teeth>>

<< the sound of metal grinding could be heard as a siren went off indicated forceful premimeter breach.......Spellbinder began forcing the doors open with her super strength. it became clear to the women watching that Spellbinder was FAR stronger than she looked...as she moved forward to now stand between the doors...and continue forcing them open......the doors shaked...and screeched as the siren blared...sparks began to fly out from the sides of the wall....as finally, Spellbinder snapped the doors and forcibly shoved them back through their slots in the wall>>

<< stepping through, she was now in the main corridor of the flirst floor of the Citadle>>

let's go.

<< she began walking forward boldy, without any hesitation. the corridor was massive....white walls, smooth, frictionless white metal floors with fiberoptics running through...as haunting blue recessed lighting in the ceiing above flickered at random. it was quite cold in this corridor.....and far down, there was a four way intersection. the symbol of the Citadle was on the walls of the corridor...and it had a faint glow to it as well>>

The Access Tunnel: Haleigh Davidoff

Haleigh helped Cameron to his feet, offering him a bottle of water from her bag and listening to him talking about his vision. She nodded and pulled a light stick from her bag... it was different from the glow sticks in that it was battery operated and it emitted a more powerful orange glow... but wasnt so harsh as a flashlight and it lit up the area around them a great deal. She stood up and made eye contact with Cameron... and for once... he saw more than just ice... he could see the stubborn passion with which she conducted her life... he could see the strong, headstrong audacity that was the only thing holding her together.

"NO. We ARE NOT stuck. We CANT go back. Those things will rip us to pieces and even if we manage to scrape by with our lives that only leads back to the surface where the TO virus is rampant. We are going down this tunnel... and we are going to FACE whatEVER is waiting for us there. I am NOT letting my chance to smack Alison and her chihuahua Eva right down from their high horse slip away. One thing from your vision wont be the same... in your vision... we were blindsided. NOW... at least... we know something will be there... Soul on fire? Yeah.... I think I know what that feels like. Just Play through the Pain, Stud. He may be stronger, bigger and more powerful.... but that doesnt mean hes smarter, faster or more cunning."

She gave him a soft pat on the shoulder and continued down the tunnel at a quickened walk. Cameron could see... Haleigh wasnt about to let anything stop her in ANYWAY... and that as long as she had a single breath in her body... she was going to fight like hell to make Alison a liar... and to be able to see the look on her face when they turned up... still alive.

"Just do me one favor Stud.... tell me this is going to be DAMN hard."

Haleigh was the type of person... that if you tried to discourage her by telling her how difficult something was... she'd rage harder, fight stronger, perservere longer... she loved a challenge... and she LOVED going against the odds... it made the victory that much sweeter.... it made the feat that much more impressive. She slung the bag over her shoulder... and held her right hand at shoulder height to light the way... pressing on as though he'd just told her where a shortcut was... and not that they were able to face unimaginable pain.

"Don't WORRY Cameron... I've been through a lot worse... the glass is half full."

Level 4 : A bit of rest (Warning: A bit graphic) **

** Bruised, scarred, and nearly broken by her will, Blaze's strong tenacity drove her on. This great strength is what enabled her to survive and soon she'd find Spellbinder and the rest of her team. Stopping just a few paces down the hallway, she leaned her back against the cool metallic wall. Even with her suit, she gained some chills here and there. Her curiosity got the best of her, wondering what the others thought of her. She certainly hoped they weren't like anything from Valiant. Blaze had a strong dislike of the team leader, a female leader. Just the thought of her radiated a small fire within Fox's emotional barrier. **

"I could use a hot shower."

** She openly admitted to thin air as her stomach growled in protest. Gently running her hands over her stomach, Blaze couldn't remember the last time she ate. She had completely forgotten about any sort of nutritional supplement for her body. But now that she took a moment to recompose herself, her mind thought of the most extravagant food on this earth. She yearned for something with meat, not a fresh crisp salad, although even this was tempting. Licking her dry lips, she dusted her breast plate off from a pile of ash. Fox knew she was lucky to be alive at all. The reason she remained alive was Morgan, the drive to be reunited with her sister. However an ill feeling of dread haunted her, Black. What if he captured her again, breaking her back. **

** Blaze's mind throbbed from that memory she had once forgotten. Quickly covering her mouth, she felt the need to be nauseous. Her stomach twisted and turned with spasms from her ulcers. She had acquired these small holes in the stomach lining when she was a teenager. Ever since her physical assault or as the doctors labeled it "rape." Blaze had over thought and worried herself that she gained these traumatic painful illness. **

** Foxfire's body tensed right up like a rigid animal afraid of a beating. Her palms leaked small droplets of sweat as she opened her mouth to vomit. Holding onto the steel hallway, she vomited over the floor, careful not to splash it over her suit. The feeling was awful and the sight alone was atrocious. The smell of it lingered on Blaze's lips and the taste of it only made things worse. Spitting out any left over saliva, she noticed the color of this substance was not the typical shade but red, blood. Blaze immediately knew it was her bleeding ulcers in agitation from the news of Black. **

** Walking over to a nearby water fountain, she pulled the nozzle back to soak her hands to watch her mouth. Placing her mouth over it, she gained small ounces of it to flush the nasty taste away. After she was cleaned up, Blaze continued down the hallway where she wouldn't be too far from Level 3. She hoped Spellbinder and her friends wouldn't be that far from her. **

Corridor outside of hanger dock

:: Alexis' eyes widened with concern as Morgan shouted "look out" at her. But before she could turn around, dodge, duck, or whatever she was planning on doing, Morgan flew by her, grabbing her arm with ample force, and pulled her aside out of harms way. The strength of Spellbinder was amazing. Just from that simple pull alone, it showed what force and power she had. Once Alexis was pulled away from the path of the raging rhino/human, she watched as Guardian destroyed it while rubbing her sore arm from Spell's yank. Soon, everything fell silent once again, until she heard the soft words spoken by Spellbinder...a thank you? She didn't expect any thanks from Morgan, seeing as how she probably could care less about herself and Eva; but perhaps Morgan was finally realizing they were here to help her, not to pester her. ::

"No...thank you."

:: Nodding to Morgan, she continued to massage her arm as she made her way back to Guardian and Eva. Listening to Guardian speak, Alexis inhaled deeply knowing what was ahead was going to be twenty times worse than anything they faced earlier this evening. Pressing her moist lips together, Alexis closed her eyes, taking a moment to calm herself....While Spellbinder was in the midst of opening the large metal doors, the loud scraping sounds of the metals, and ungodly high pitched noise of the doors forcible being opened, didn't effect Alexis. Her mind was filled with memories. Memories of Adam and herself as a young girl. ::

:: Clouded images of Adam appeared in flashes. Images of Adam tucking a young Alexis into her large plush pink bed and kissing her goodnight. Alexis walking hand and hand with Adam into F.A.O Schwartz when he closed the entire toy store just so Alexis could pick out the perfect tenth birthday present. Images of Alexis smiling and laughing with her daddy......Adam lifting her into the air and spinning her around--feeling weightless and blissfully happy. But SOON the happy memories faded away, and images of the gruesome battle flashed into her mind. Alexis' face as Adam told her he killed her real parents. Rage and sorrow as Alexis screamed, throwing a massive amount of energy directly at Adam. Adam holding Alexis against the wall, pleading with her to love him....Blood....smoke...screaming...crying. All images leading up to Adam laying in a pool of his own blood, dead. Images of Alexis standing over her dead father's body, battered and beaten from Adam defending himself against the vengeful young girl. Alexis sobbing hysterically over Adam's lifeless body with rage and hate....wishing none of what he told her was true. Then finally...just Adam. Alone. His crippled body laying on the ground in the empty parlor........the image narrowed in onto his battered face, when suddenly his eyes OPENED, showing the bloodshot, bloodstained, brown eyes of her dead father. ::

:: Gasping, Alexis quickly opened her eyes in fear. Panting for air, the image of her father’s eyes terrified her......what were only mere seconds of memories...seemed like hours, as Alexis cupped her hands over her face, trying to compose herself. Closing her eyes tightly, she separated her hands, moving them gently up and across her face, brushing her fallen blonde locks away. Her chest expanded as she took deep, calming breaths in.....it was finally sinking in what was going on. Extending her neck back, she stretched it from one side to another, trying to relieve the tension in her muscles...but nothing seemed to work. The meta-human was on edge, emotionally, mentally, and physically. Allowing her head to hang back for a few moments, she closed her eyes once again, taking one final breath in, before lifting her head and gazing towards the now open metal doors. It was obvious to the three woman that Alexis was distracted and in distress about what was going on. Although Alexis would never admit it, it was clearly written on her face. Stepping forward, Alexis parted her now dry lips with her moist tongue, allowing the saliva from her tongue to coat the dry skin..giving them some moisture. Slowly making her way to the ajar metal doors, her heals tapped...the sound echoing throughout the large hanger dock. The slow, soft, tapping, seemed to only heighten what Alexis was feeling in some form—very eerie and unsettling. Stepping passed the metal doors, Alexis saw Spellbinder ahead...and began to walk a bit faster to catch up with the woman. Looking around, everything was so white, it was a bit creepy. As her eyes shifted from one section of the corridor to the next, she saw the four way intersection ahead, with the symbol of MysTech on the walls. The symbol seemed to glow...as if it were taunting the woman....following Spellbinders lead, she prepared herself for anything that might come their way. .::

Cameron King: Access Tunnel

« As he came down from his vision and started to feel better, he listened to Haleigh's words, and even though things seemed completely hopeless, he was going to face whatever was coming. After all, he was Cameron King. Business Tycoon. Badass. He had been outsmarting and outclassing people since the day he was born and nobody was going to stop him from doing it now. He dusted off his clothes and wiped his mouth off with his sleeve as he winked at Haleigh and laughed. »

"It's going to be more than DAMN hard.. it's going to be more like DAMN NEAR IMPOSSIBLE! But hey.. let's go down in flames..."

« Cameron led the way this time as he now knew how to get to the entrance to the Hangar Dock as they continued to run down the tunnel for fear that the Ant Lions would catch up to them. As he rounded a corner he came to what exactly he had seen in his vision. The Hangar Dock. The residue of a tough battle and the impending feeling of death and destruction. This was it. Cameron remained tough and strong, feeling somewhat better that he knew what was going to happen. He leaned in and explained everything to Haleigh. »

"Ok, in a few seconds the robed guy is going to show up over there.« Points » Now it is a long shot, but maybe if we can clear the Hangar Dock before he shows up we might be able to buy ourselves some time? Whaddya say?"

*She took Alexis' warning into account, standing on edge while she watched the creatures explode for any extra movement. She groaned as she tried to cup her nose, the smell was probably not worth the killing, but atleast it was her alive and not them. Rabbit yelled and Eva twirled around, still in mid-air and slightly away from the group, raising an eyebrow at the half-tortoise. That was one she definently hadn't seen during her stay here. Guardian stepped forward and unleashed her power against it, destroying it for them. Eva flitted down to the ground next to her while the other two women walked over to them, standing next to the looming double doors. Did Spellbinder just thank them? She wondered how much of that kindness they'd be seeing regularly and grinned. Rabbit went to work forcing open the doors while the other women watched...mostly, Alexis seemed to be dealing with something inside her head at the mention of the two men. Eva figured what was probably going on, the most logical solution as she let the women work out some of her stress before putting a chilling cool hand on her forehead before Rabbit blasted through the doors.*

"This is going to be fun."

*Eva glanced at the other women, a little dash of hope spluring through her. She would finally get a chance to reek havoc on those that destroyed her life. While she'd let the other two women get to kill their fathers, she was going to have some fun with them first. They would pay for the five years of torment they had inflicted on her. It was time to see Daddy Dearests again.*

The Hangar/Dock: Haleigh Davidoff

Haleigh laughed too. It seemed nice and light... as if he'd cracked a joke during brunch or something... what was more... it seemed so honest, and happy. It didnt seem like one she was capable... it was full.... of feeling... something Haleigh didnt seem able to manifest. She followed him around the corner...the Hangar was cold and damp, and there had been some serious carnage here... but Haleigh sensed the violence hadn't completely left... more pain was to be had here... and Haleigh knew it was meant for her and Cameron. That achey, glooming feeling of impending despair returned, looming over her like overcast clouds. No sun in sight... Haleigh unholstered her handgun... and the temperature of the room dropped at least twenty degrees... Haleigh and Cameron would remain warm in their suits...but they could see their breath in the air... Haleigh held the light out... and moved forward, her voice low and unnaturally soft.

"There's an Angel with her hand on my hair.... she says I got nothing to fear..."

The same words James had said before he died. They seemed appropriate for the situation... except that they brought a painful flurry of images to Haleigh's mind's eye. Images of James, battered severely, being dragged out of the pitch black room again through the door of light. Flashes of Haleigh shaking under that same light as it happened, hunched over on her haunches. Everything was black and white... except his crimson red blood. His blood covered her lap, her hands, her formerly white shirt. Haleigh shook the sight from her mind. now was NOT the time for guilt... or the time to fall apart. She had the afterlife for that.... right now she needed to focus on this one. Cameron had began speaking again. Haleigh looked in the direction of his point... and nodded. She looked around, noting the dimensions of the Dock as she picked up her pace.

"We should move then."

Citadle- First Floor

<< Spellbinder stretched...and exhaled....she showed no signs of exhaustion from forcing the massive doors open with her super strength...or the battle before that....but she seemed "detatched" from the group...her mind was also elsewhere>>

<< she began to walk down the hall...there was a soft hum..slightly staggered by the shortage of power as her high heeled boots also clicked along the floor and echoed around them...it was so silent...eeriely silent...and it almost seemed too easy after everything they'd been through thus far>>

the four way intersection...<<her icy voice seemed to excell perfectly with this almost hauntingly sterile setting around them>>.....there must be an office pool where we can find information on the floor plans....if Foxfire is only four floors below....we need to pinpoint her. I dont dare risk a blind teleport...lest we arrive right in a trap set by Adam and Christopher.

<< she stepped up her pace a bit...it seemed that at the moment they were quite alone, and unaware that Black Widow and Prophet had finally cleared the tunnel and were now in the hangar dock. Spellbinder lead the way...and finally they arrived at the four way intersection.....the large symbol of MysTech on the floor in the center glowed as they stepped on it...and to the right down the east wing was in fact a large office pool...with a circumference enclosed by a seamless glass window...inside the office pool was cutting edge technology in the way of computers, communication devices and other office essentials...with monitors that were strategically placed along the ceiling that was illuminated by recessed cobalt blue lighting>>

<< the monitors slowly oscillated back and forth....but the screens were blinking and fuzzy white...and through the cutting edge office pool lay bodies of workers killed by the initial disaster....there was no immediate visual evidence that any of these corpses were infected by the Techno Organic virus..and the office pool appeared to be sealed>>

well......this looks like the place. Let's go inside and take a look.

<< Spellbinder looked for a point of entry...more than likely she'd have to force her way through again....but that remained to be seen>>

First floor

::Guardian surveyed the surroundings but showed no reaction as usual...walking with the group....not much was said...it all seemed so anticlimatic but if anyone knew better it was Guardian. After all, she was a precog among other things. they made their way down the hall to the four way intersection and unlike everyone else looking down the east wing, Guardian looked the opposite way...she felt something, a presence that was pure , unrelentig evil::

Black.....on this floor...but he hasnt realized that we are here yet

Spellbinder, cast a cloaking spell...and quickly! We are not alone on this floor.
Tempest, you know the security of this place better than we do, get us inside that office pool!

::Guardian brought up the rear...keeping an eye in the opposite direction of the rest of the group::

Shockwave, you and Spellbinder are about to make contact with your father's in this office pool but we do not have much time. once we make contact with Foxfire....we will be faced with the task of fighting off Black....a task that we will FAIL.

:: She knew that ultimately this would lead them to Christopher and Adam...she also knew that Black posed the greatest threat to herself and Spellbinder being that he was completely impervious to magickal attacks. Spellbinder had other powers ...as did Guardian, but either way...she knew that the two of them were in grave danger this night.::

The Hangar Dock

<< far back and outside the inner floors of the Citadle, Prophet and Black Widow entered the dock and surveyed the aftermath of the pitched, fierce battle...stone flesh....blood, plasma, the remains of other bizarre creatures.. and the immense hangar itself......with industrial like sounds in the air>>

<< even as they moved forward and prepared for where they thought their attack would come from....the suddenly felt themselves overwhelmed by a massive WAVE of reignfire....a powerful onslaught of magick that encompassed them both and assaulted their bodies, minds and souls on the DEEPEST levels.....and soon..the rushing sound of water was heard as Imagiomg arrived...not at the point that Prophet had intiallyl thought>>

Imagiomg: SURRENDER FRAIL CREATURES....SO I CAN MAKE YOUR DEATHS AS PAINLESS AS POSSIBLE!

<< Imagiomg towered above them....this creature drapped in flowing red robes with a enshrouded , other worldly face and skeletal looking hands that were encased in halos of power.......>>

YOU CANNOT HOPE TO PREVAIL AGAINST THE POWER OF MAGICK.

first floor

<< Spellbinder turned, hearing Guardian's words, and without wasting time, she lifted her hands. a chime sounded as sparkling shards of eldritch energy swirled around her hands...and spread out amongst the four women...spinning around them faster and faster...until in a soft flasth of light and chime...they were now cloaked to any physical, mental, mechanical detection>>

<< she awaited to see what Tempest would say or do to gain them access>>

:: Alexis soon began to grow aggrivated. She didn't want to find Foxfire, she didn't even know the woman. She wanted to find Adam and kill him. Plain and simple. Shaking her head, she saw Spellbinder turn down the eastern corridor leading to an office. Stopping, in the middle of the four way intersection, Alexis turned, looking towards the western corridor, debating on whether or not she should ditch the group of woman and take a chance on her own. Placing her foot forward, looking like she was about to head in the opposite direction, Guardian's words stopped her in her tracks. Black was down there? Well damn. Back stepping, she turned around and headed towards Tempest and Spellbinder, turning to see Guardian in the rear. True Alexis would of rather ditched the group, but after the horror stories told by Spellbinder and Guardian, she would rather ditch them on the next level then face Black. ::

:: As Spellbinder's eldritch chimes softly rang and the cloaking spell went up, Alexis crossed her arms and went into a leaning position against a wall, waiting for one of the woman to open the office doors. ::

The Hangar/Dock: Haleigh Davidoff

Haleigh continued to look around... she walks across a metal grate, a vent that softly blows air... and as it blows her hair up around her face... she can't see or react in time for Imagiomg's arrival... and is encompassed in a brief but overwelmingly PAINFUL wave of his magick. She grimaces and a look of shock enters her eyes, as she nearly falls over. Haleigh normally has an EXTREMELY high tolerance for pain... but the inability to brace herself and the sudden overbearing of it all made her see stars.

"The HELL we will! You can KISS MY ASS, you spindly blowbag."

Haleigh scrambled backwards to put space between them, and looked over at a huge tub of liquid. it looked like some experiment or another had been kept submerged in it.... and at Haleigh's command.... it leapt from its container towards Im.... and immediately froze solid in midflight, turning into ENORMOUS long, greenish looking icicles.

Second Floor -- A Blaze of glory

** Blaze once more made massive improvement in reaching the other floors ahead of her. However, her body required rest and relaxation immediately. As she quietly walked down the corridor her omega healing factor short circuited. Dropping to her knees, she screamed from the intense pain she felt. The large bruise on her shoulder blade was back, her bite on her neck, and the beaten she took earlier. Her brain stems were disturbed as well, causing her an aneurysm. Her stubborn nature refused to give up by slowly pushing herself along the floor, crawling herself inch by inch. Blood soaked her nose, mouth, and ears until she HAD to stop. **

** The intense pain was something Blaze had never felt. She could sense the first level door was close. Reaching out towards it, she cried out in pain. Her organs and immune system slowed from lack of nutrition and rest. **

"NO, I will not CRUMBLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!"

** Gritting her teeth, Blaze roughly yanked herself to her feet, trying desperately to ignore the pain. Every step was heart felt and courageous but not this time. Clear tears rushed down her dirt stained beautiful face. Her thoughts were on Morgan but just the pain alone was beginning to over power her weakened body. She felt heavy from all the equipment she carried, so to help lighten herself Blaze threw her weapons and parts of the suit off. Leaving just the boots and breast plate. A step closer she came until she rolled her eyes back into her head. Collapsing hard on the floor with a quick thud as Blaze lay on her side. She whispered for her sister, knowing she wouldn't be able to see her or be reunited**

"I love you Morgan.."

** Just as the last breath left her for a second, Blaze's mind shut down into a comatose taste. Her eyes remained opened revealing an eerie 'undead' sight. To the common eye she was dead, unless you saw her chest rise and fall with her short breaths. Blaze Fielding was alive but her mind was in another plain and her body followed. Crippled into a coma, she was so close to seeing her sister. Perhaps if she was rescued, that might happen once Foxfire...woke up! **
