Haleigh lifted her brow at Eva.... haleigh had done nothing to Eva... YET... but the woman seemed to be taking a liking to constantly berating her... and Haleigh knew JUST how to nip that in the bud, as she stood atop the elevator and watched Eva peer down.... she aimed... squeezing off a single round. The loud CRACK of the firearm sounded even louder in the echo of the elevator shaft... and Eva alone heard Whiffff.... as the bullet narrowly missed the left side of Eva's face and ricocheted through the opening... Haleigh whistled and looked surprised, keeping her flashlight trained on Eva.

"HOLY SHIT..... the gun just WENT off... hard to aim in here and all..."

She insisted as she went through the opening. Alexis started off on her and Cameron could hear Haleigh weighing the cost/benefit of shooting Alexis... Haleigh instantly stopped, took a quick step back and raised her weapon at Alexis... no one saw their 'company' yet except Haleigh... which was likely to put every one on pins and needles.. especially Alexis.... who was staring down the barrell of a P22.... But Haleigh's flashlight directed right past her...

"DUCK!"

She said as she instantly pulled the trigger. Alexis too would hear th chilling sound ot the bullet grazing her ear... but there was no following ricochet... only the sound of a body dropping to the ground... as Haleigh had nailed a stray corpse square between the eyes as it came around the corner.... RIGHT behind Alexis, who was busy being condescending. Haleigh locked eyes with Alexis.... pursing her lips and walking over to the corpse... She aimed her flashlight down the corridor to check for more and then looked down at the infected...

"Damn.... thats my inside guy.... guess i dont have to give him that raise. Hey, look Alexis... I was JUST fucking with you... FURTHERMORE... nobody told you to butt heads with me... I was minding my own damn business butting heads with Alison when YOU decided to jump in.... but you're right... we're in a bit deep to be bickering constantly. A temporary truce is probably the best course of action. Now Eva.... if you could so kindly show us the way."

the access tunnel

::BLINK::

poor Haleigh...never really liked by anyone anywhere are you? its a shame that when you die tonight...no one will care enough to come to your funeral...your body will be broken...burned beyond recognition..and demons will feed on your entrails.

:: standing far ahead of them...Guardian's stoic voice reverberated throughout the large tunel....her cobalt blue eyes were the only thing plainly visible about her::

Shockwave, Tempestt...i suggest you keep your distance from her and Prophet....before they reach the hangar/dock area....they will be killed.....if you try to save them...you will share thier fate as well. Spellbinder is way ahead of the group.......you two...can join her.......help her destroy these men.....after all..thats what you really want isnt it?

::Guardian seemed different...where as before she helped the group with her precognitive power....now she was being bluntly cruel........her face was enshrouded in shadow.....save for the wicked smirk that revealed gleaming white teeth...as she stood with her hands on her hips::

I am holding back a mob of monsters......not mere zombies or demons....but creatures called Ant Lions........gigantic red/orange hued spiders that are man eaters....and can drain you dry of your life force with their webbing. their body shell will be immune to Tempest's attacks, Prophet's psychic attacks will be useless against them...and they will make a tasty snack out of Haleigh.

You have a choice........come with me and live......or stay with them...and DIE!

:: three pairs of eight red eyes flickered into view...high above and behind guardian.....growling could be heard as well::

you see Prophet.....the only reason your still alive now is because a woman saved you...and your surrounded by women...yet your too stupid to know how to speak with respect. This isnt a board room...this is your grave.

Haleigh......just like everyone else in the past....Morgan and i USED you......for what information you could provide........ and now that youve outlived your usefullnes.....considering your past with Adam Chandler << she looks at Alexis when saying that>> i think your death couldnt be more timely.

:: turning back to Alexis and Eva......Guardian looked stone faced....::

make your choice....and if either of you try anything :: pointing at Haleigh and Cameron:: ill know it before you even attempt it...and obliterate you where you stand...leaving your ashes for the spiders to lay their eggs in.

::Guardian had just placed them all between a rock and hard place....but WHY.....this brutal betrayal (such as it were) couldnt have come at a worse time.....and while Eva and Alexis were familiar with this kind of tactic from Adam and Christopher......and expected ruthless behavior from Spellbinder...even they could not have guessed Guardian would do this.....Eva was right....Cameron had made a grave mistake in pissing off the Seer...the group now faced a terrible descision......and from a distance behind them......a scuttling sound could be heard.......more creatures....of which they were not sure sounded like they were closing in from another tributary of the access tunnel from afar back::

"You know Alison.... we were doing just FINE in your absence."

Haleigh shifted the aim of her handgun to the direction of Alison's voice.... she could only see her eyes.... and Haleigh instantly wanted to rip those eyes right from Alison's bloated head. she knew what the woman was trying to do... and she wasnt having it. She smirked, waving her flashlight hand nonchalantly.

"Oh think nothing of it Alison.... I make this many friends EVERYWHERE I go." She said playfully, breaking into a laugh that sounded so foreign it was almost alarming. "Are you trying to unsettle me? Scare me into submission? Would you like me to beg you to spare my life? Let me tell you something Sherlock." She said firmly, any hint of laughter disappearing from her tone as she walked towards Gaurdian with a steely glare. "You're wrong.... yeah, you heard me right... I just told you that you are WRONG. I'm NOT going to die here... and WHEN I get out of this.... I'm going to come after you. and WHEN I find you.... I'm not going to be so merciful as to take your life. I'm going to leave you so disfigured, so mutilated that people will PITY you when you hobble down the street."

She said nastily... she knew she couldn't trust that woman... she only wished she had the latitude to make good on her intentions for Alison right NOW... however... she was patient... even as Guardian offered Tempest and Shockwave a way out. Haleigh crossed her arms.... looking over at Alexis and Eva. Would they do it? Probably... could Haleigh blame them? well... she COULD.... but likely wouldn't. They neednt face her challenges... and she'd certainly ridicule them if they stayed behind on her behalf. Alison was going to split them in half... and this was just the way to do it. Haleigh looked up... training her gun on the eyes that appeared behind Alison... her aim shifted from one set to the next.... and she cautiously backed away from Alison....

"Oh look Cameron... she brought her friends along."

She said, frowning with contempt as she looked at Alison again... who had begun talking to her once more. Haleigh shook her head.... a look of disgust breaking through the emotionlessness. She lowered her weapon and stood upright... with as much height as her frame allowed. She'd stared 'certain' death down before.... just as she was staring Alison down now.

"You.... will regret this moment.... How DARE you call yourself a GUARDIAN? I want you to keep in mind.... the worst circle of hell is reserved for TRAITORS. Go on Alexis... Eva.... you dont need this. I'm sure you THINK you're safer with her."

Haleigh seemed only slightly annoyed at the presence of the monsters behind Alison... and the sound of more behind her. She wasnt going to give Alison the satisfaction of seeing her unsettled... or daunted by any means. She remained stoic.... Still... she counted the beasts.... she ran over her options in her mind... and now she was glad she had made that little pact with Cameron... it was WAY better to have a wingman than to do something like this alone... but she looked steady, as though she were ready... and her narrowed eyes locked on Alison a final time. She wanted to watch the woman abandon her.... she wanted to have an image to sustain her will.

DO it.... give me a purpose. Give me a REASON.

:: Hearing the sound of the bullet pass her ear, made Alexis duck to the other side, and turn around instantly, looking at what Haleigh was shooting at. Seeing the infected zombie behind her, she let out a huff before walking up next to the body. Shaking her head, she turned to Haleigh about to say 'thanks', but instead, she stopped hearing Guardian's voice. Seeing her cobalt eyes peering at all of them, the shadows hid the rest of her figure. Listening to her words of "wisdom", Alexis casually glanced at Haleigh hearing Guardian's ultimatum. Lifting a single brow, a small smirk appeared on Alexis lips but it soon faded hearing Guardian speak of the spider creatures. Well damn...her father really is being a bastard, playing on Alexis' ONE PHOBIA, spiders. The air from her lungs left her as she looked up at the 8 red eyes above Guardian. Her eyes filled with tears of fear....how DARE he. Frozen in fear, Alexis stood still, keeping her eyes fixated on the spiders around the group...not making a noise, not even breathing it seemed, Alexis slowly turned her head to her left side. Her eyes widening with fear as she heard a clicking sound against the wall. Her body tensed up, so tight it began to shake under her suit. The wall was dark, completely black.....until 8 red eyes opened one after another. Gasping, Alexis slowly shifted her eyes back to Guardian. Like HELL was she going to stay in this corridor with these THINGS. ::

"I see what...."

:: Pausing in fear Alexis saw another 8 eyes appeared by Guardian::

"....what you're trying to do. You want to break this group up. You want to see Haleigh and Cameron squirm, begging for help. You finally want to put your dominance to the test, making a life or death choice for us all..."

:: Seeing a large white train of silk drip down in front of Alexis' face, she closed her eyes tightly. ::

"But I'm here for the soul purpose of killing my father...."

:: Opening her eyes, they met with Guardian's. ::

"Not to GET killed. I'm with you."

:: Stepping forward, her foot pressed into the puddle of silk infront of her. Cringing at the sound, she cotninued forward, looking at Eva in the eyes as she passed. She hoped their packed they made earlier would stand, and Eva would come with Alexis...but if not, it was her life to gamble with. ::

"Very funny pin cushion. I'd make sure that bullet didn't come back to bite you in the ass."

*Unfortunately for the wannabe badass, she had ducked the bullet, hearing the cap lock into place before she pressed on the trigger. Like Alexis, Eva was tired of Haleigh's annoyance. She was no help to the "team" besides screwing them all over. She felt sorry for the people that were stuck working with the woman...no professionalism, none at all. Atleast two of the people here were more adult minded than that child. She walked with Alexis down the tunnel, leaving Haleigh and Cameron behind in the dark. They walked, admiring the scenery as she thought to herself. Guardian was right, those two were nothing but trouble. If they stood in her way, or anyone's way to finish this job, they would be terminated. Hell, if Haleigh tried anything she could always negate and counter her moves...and Cameron, he made the mistake of asking for energy gauntlets, perfect for Alexis to tamper with. There was a sudden shift in the atmosphere around her and Alexis in the tunnel as Eva turned towards it's direction, seeing only two blue dots in the air as she heard Guardian's voice echoing into the elevator. She listened and smirked at the woman, before turning at looking at Cameron and Haleigh.*

"Welcome back Alison. I think I'll take your offer. The job here is to destroy the citadle, not babysitting."

*Her facial expression didn't change as she glided over towards Guardian, looking over at Alexis, nodding slightly. She knew the woman didn't like them, but they needed to find Adam, and she could atleast work civilly unlike the other two. Plus, something was different. Alison had said before she already knew everything Haleigh did, so there was more reason to having them kept alive instead of dragging them here for. Somehow, she knew inside Alison wouldn't do too much to them, there had to be a purpose, and for now, she trusted the woman enough with them. The last time she second-guessed herself had caused the death of her mouth, she had learned to trust herself more than that now. She stared at the spiders above them, remembering them well from the torture chambers hidden within the citadle for stubborn patients like herself. She'd be of no use to the other two power wise, so there really was no need for her to stay this far behind. She looked at Haleigh and smiled innocently to her.*

"Suit yourself. I'm sure Cameron won't mind you behind him, with a gun, with that tender attitude of yours."

Command Hallway

** Blaze continued to walk down the hall when she suddenly began to shake violently. Collapsing onto her knees she wrapped both arms around herself. What had come over her? Her flames were extinguished for now as fresh droplets of blood dripped from her nose. Staining the floor right in front of her as her body convulsed even more from the sudden shock and emotional overload. Shutting her piercing sage eyes, she pictured herself in the strong -- warm embrace of her older sister Morgan. These spasms were normal to Blaze Fielding, it was part of a syndrome that she accrued from the Umbrella Corporation. **

** Voices and pictures struck Blaze's mind violently causing her to cry out in pain. The memory lapse were just another cause and affect. Bits and pieces of her past were scattered as were some people she once was associated with including members of Valiant. Her mind blanked with these endless encounters she suffered. Waiting it out until they vanished into thin air. Blaze found herself laying in the fetal position on the cold waxy floor. Getting up once more, she needed to take her time instead of rushing. **

** It was only a few hours ago she went through torture. And although she had an Omega Healing factor, her mind couldn't heal such traumatic scars. Out of no where she coughed a few times until her chest ached. But at least she had her powers accrued now. She was in search of Spellbinder, heading for the Hanger Bay, if she was still present. **

the hangar/dock area

<< finally completely her swift flight the dark downward slopped access tunnel, Spellbinder flew into an incredibly large area that was dimly light by emergency powered lights this area had a far more industrial feel to it........with a ceiling reaching so far up...command posts at various intervals....a smooth cement floor with black and yellow traffic markings and spinning lights attached to the walls.......before her stood four rows of extremely large black containers with vents and small monitors which seemed to display VITAL signs>>....some of the containers appeared partially ruptured...and were leaking a bloody/plasma like liquid....there was the faint gurgling sound in the air...which was alternately drowned out by the looming, ominous sound of hydraulic shifts , grinding metal...and the fact that the structure of the Citadle itself was slowly shifting due to the internal trauma it sustained>>

<< spellbinder landed...the high heels of her boots immediately began to echo and echo throughout the hangar as she walked forward slowly..again...despite her own physical stature....she was now dwarfed by the immense area....and marveled at these giant black storage containers.>>

<< off to her left.....was what appeared to be a dock...with a loading boarder and just beyond that, a track, possibly for an express car, or some other transportation device....but no car or express tube was in view... and on her right....further down there were storage sheds....that were sealed shut...with no way of knowing what was inside. high above a control room box jutted out from the wall.....the lights inside the booth were flickering...and a large spatter of blood could be viewed even from as far down below where Spellbinder was. further away closer to where the in wall storage units were located, there were large piles of insulated cable wire, thick chain links and other materials....>>

<< in an icy voice...spellbinder spoke softly aloud>>: this place....has a para military design to it......it seems more industrial...must be where they store their larger weaponry and other such things. apparently theres an express jet or something as well judging by the tracks over there.....but theres no car...

<< she walked forward....spotting a doorway.....aside from the noises of hydraulics and metal grinding and structure shifting........and that unsettling gurgling sound that seemed to be in the air all around her...spellbinder walked on, beginning her journey toward the doorway which was sealed by a thick metal barrier with a spinning red light at the top>>

I think if i get through there, Ill actually be inside the administrative part of the building....10 floors downward to the bio systems lab from there......so far...so good....

<< Spellbinder took a moment...to look more closely at one of the giant storage bins that were lined up in rows in the center of the hangar.....showing a look of disgust as the blood and plasma touched her boots>>

ugh...

<< there were charts....apparently these were human beings..or at least they were..all of them had been subjected to genetic grafting and experimentation...and were now horribly mutated..devoid of any high functions of normal humans.......the one she examined had a vital stats monitor on the front...and tubes on the side which appeared to be a nutrient feed.>>

this man was only 25 when he was subjected to this.......reptile dna, mega steroid enhancement, genetic stimulation therapy....reptile attribute grafting.........these people....were playing GOD with human beings!

<< she leaned in closer....and peered through the little visual opening.....and saw very little...but heard the gurgling sound.....and suddenly.....growling...as a pair of reptile like green eyes suddenly appeared ..glaring right at her as the storage bin lurched forward>>

GASP!

<< she backed away....and quickly walked forward.....when suddenly she felt something breeze past her. her right side peripheral vision caught a glimps of some kind of being>>

<< she immediately turned...looking around...as that awfull sound gurgling was now all around her..>>

THIS SOUND! these creatures.....what kind of place IS THIS!?

<< before she could react....she was bowled over......tackled painfully from the side......and slammed into one of the containment units...so hard that it was knocked over..ripped up from the wiring that anchored it to the ground....causing a flurry of sparks to spray upward>>

UGHHH!!!

<< spellbinder was stunned..laying on the floor. the sound of the crash echoed all around the hangar>>

<< The sorceress' struggled to regain her bearings as her eyes fluttered....they were now wide opened....and staring into the eyes of creature that was red hued.....the size of Shaq...this creature had a slightly canine appearence though.....a bizarre mix of man and ancient canine....as it repeatedly made attemps to clamp down on her neck with its massive jaws filled with fangs not seen on any modern day mammal...>>

cough.....cough......GASP....cough.....

<< Spellbinder's right are would still free...as she balled up her fist...a glowing halow of magick formed around at..and she swung her fist up and over....slamming into the creature with the upper end scale of her super strength...causing the creature to YELP as it was punted across the way and over the edge of the dock onto the tracks...where it was painfully electrocuted......the smell of burnt flesh filled the air.....as spellbinder slowly sat up..and struggled to her feet>>

cough..what the hell .....was THAT!

<< as she slowly got to her feet......she looked up...and saw before....MORE hybrid creatures....humans grafted with the features and dna of some fierce animals of the wild...all freakishly large...and all very feral and agressive....she stood up...and gritted her teeth>>

what luck....i get to cameo in a demented episode of the Discovery Channel.

<< she was now surrouned by five of them including the one that she had punched off the dock onto the tracks....it survived the high voltage and was back for more...now dripping with blood and burnt flesh......standing her ground....she took a fighting stance with her fists clenched and halos of magick formed around them>>

you creatures have just signed your DEATH WARRANT!!!!!

<<Spelbinder was about to attack them...showing no sign of fear...only agitation and disgust>>

« As everyone made their way down to the top of the Elevator, the bickering started right back up. They were doing so well for a moment, but then again he knew that the clash of personalities were becoming way too strong to control. Eva made her way to the tunnel followed behind Alexis as Haleigh fired one of her guns as it just graced near Eva's cheek. He couldn't help but smile at that girl's fire. One by one they all entered the tunnel to see splattered blood and scorchmarks. As Cameron felt the walls he could see flashes of Spellbinder fighting the random monsters. She had definitely been there. The placed reaked of her psychic energy. »

"Morgan has definitely been here, although I don't pick up any signs of her Igor..."

« As he saw the bullet enter the corpse he also suddenly saw Alison appear in the tunnel and he could feel the pings of annoyance from deep inside. The group was doing good and he knew that woman was only going to mess everything up. As she spoke he fought every urge in his body to just run up and deck that bitch a hard one. He was getting sick of her annoying shit. Instead of planning on ways of killing Cameron and Haleigh she should be with her beloved companion Morgan. He saw the glowing eyes behind her that looked more like a wall of red orbs and fear shuddered through his body. Though he was not scared of spiders he was scared of death. He stood strong in front of Alison and as she finished her barrage of insults to Haleigh and Cameron he waited for Haleigh to respond before he said anything, but before he could Eva and Alexis were quick to sell both of them out. Fine he thought. When they were done dispatching these demons and Alison, they would just go out and kill the two of them. As Alison waited standing there seemingly pleased with herself, Cameron walked up to her, showing no emotion on his face. He was through with her. »

"Alison. I'm not going to get into useless catty remarks with you, I am not going to do anything to you. I just want you to get the FUCK out of my face and make sure when I am done killing these that you aren't around, because everyone knows there is magick deeper and darker than the ones you and your BOSS use. I will find it, I will use it, and I will destroy you. Now good day..."

« He stood face to face with her, his eyes resembling that of a Serial Killer. At this point, Cameron was done with everything he had encountered today. He had left his one true friend behind to help two ungrateful bitches. Cameron had no clue about Mystech or even what they were up to but he went with them. He was sorry if he wasn't so gung ho about it. Cameron had tried to help these people and this is what he had gotten in return. HE didn't know how to speak with respect? From the moment he had met the two they had used their magick to manipulate him, they had been stone cold, uninformative and down right rude, so any behavior that was directed towards them was exactly what they deserved. He turned to Haleigh and sighed. »

"I said we would look out for each other and we will. You ready to kill some people?"

« Cameron turned back to Alison who had YET to leave the group with the two traitors, Alexis and Eva. He was sorry he wasn't such a big kiss ass, he just wasn't afraid of them. »

"You can LEAVE now Alison, and you can take those two with you.. Nice to see you sell out especially to two people who have done nothing to you whatsoever, compared to Alison and Morgan who have both threatened your life, well save for Eva, if she wasn't such a goddamn mute... But none the less, Alison, get out of here..."

The Access Tunnel: Haleigh Davidoff

Haleigh nodded as Alexis agreed to go with Alison. She'd figured as much.... but she knew, on some level.... it was the right thing for Alexis to do. Hell, She hardly knew the woman.... and Haleigh couldn't say she wouldn't do the same.... they'd just met this morning.... they'd been squaring off for a while now... and Alexis had a way out. Haleigh didn't look surprised or hurt, as she pulled out a cigarrette and blew on the open end. She didnt usually smoke... unless she were drinking heavily or dying... so right now seemed like a good time. She only wished she had some vodka on her... She shrugged though, as the end magically lit, and she took a draw. She made a point to blow the smoke towards Eva just as the woman had the brass to talk about babysitting. Haleigh didnt blame her for leaving them either.... but the brat was constantly sniping at the woman who saved her LIFE back at the diner. She glared at Eva... and as Eva made the gun comment... Haleigh pulled the slide back on her P22 and let it go, causing the firearm to give a couple of loud clicks, a cocking sound reverberating in the tunnel. She lifted her eyebrows and pointed at Eva with her weapon.

"Who the FUCK do you think you're talking to, WAITRESS? I'll be seeing YOU soon, too."

Haleigh smiled as Cameron finished up with Alison. He had balls too... that was a desirable quality in a man. They stood side by side... and Haleigh offered Cameron a cigarrette. "They say these will kill you." She said sarcasticly. She seemed less and less perturbed by Alison's plotting and by the monsters behind her. Haleigh was convinced she'd faced worse HUMANS. Haleigh held up a finger, as if to say 'wait, alison...' she knelt down... but instead of groveling, she pulled her handheld from her bag.... and started mumbling... purposely loud enough for everyone to hear, pulling another deep breath...

"Lets see.... notepad.... ah, here we go... Maim and Mangle Alison Marble... Destroy life of Eva Valentine... Make sure both survive to regret every breath... click okay, yada yada. Alright, I'm ready, you can sick your mutant pets on me now."

Bitter Sarcasm and dark, dry humor even to the very end...she WAS being half serious... but the handheld thing was just for show.... JUST to piss people off some more... it was amazing how easily it was to evoke responses from these people... but that was good news for Haleigh.... it meant theyd likely be just as easy to manipulate. Haleigh's stubborn and stinging gaze shifted from Eva to Alison to Alexis.... but she could see something different in Alexis... she could see something like remorse in her eyes.... and Haleigh stopped glaring at her and offered instead an understanding nod. Haleigh pulled a final drag from her cigarrette and flicked the rest at Alison's boots. She pulled more lightsticks out of the bag and cracked them, dropping them to the floor. they'd need light to kick this thing off right... She looked up at Cameron and nodded, a sly smirk on her lips... it didnt seem as though she was AWARE that death was licking its proverbial chops for her at the moment.

"I'm ALWAYS ready for ANYTHING, Stud."

Level 5 staircase/ Level 4

** Blaze had wondered about the various levels earlier, taking the safe haven of the stairs instead of the elevator. But in her attempt to speed up time, she had encountered several zombies, which she destroyed in her path. As she climbed the last of the stairs, she heard a bizarre sound mutated cry. Spinning around she aimed her psycho cannon. Her eyes saw nothing just as the emergency red tinted light dimmed. Pitch blackness filled the stair case**

"Oh bloody hell!"

** A bit of her old Australian accent filling her voice this time. Luckily for Fox, she was able to see in the dark, her night vision working perfectly. As she scanned the area, something large and heavy fell roughly a top of Blaze. Instantly she fell down the stairs, stopping at the wall, close to the edge of another flight of stairs. She heard the creature lunge from another wall, its heavy feet smashing against the wall. Stunned from this sudden attack, she listened remaining frozen. She'd play "dead" until the creature came to her. It was a brazen move but she feared nothing. The creature lunged off the wall to free fall towards Blaze. Foxfire could hear the change in air frequency, which she rolled onto her back in a split second. Raising her psycho cannon she fired its immense blast towards the creature. Her eyes watched as the creature was hit and soon combusted into the air. Its organs and internals spraying the whole wall. Blaze flamed out just in time to prevent a blood splattering of her suit. **

Morgan, I'm on level 5 of this building. I'm protected from the virus with a suit and heavy gun power. I'll try and find you...but this place is a maze.

** She allowed her thoughts to find Spellbinder's signature, hopefully it would connect. Blaze's frame came into view on level 4 now. Unknown to her knowledge Blaze's eyes glazed over to a haunting blue, the same shade the zombies possessed.... **

the access tunnel

:: Guardian's cobalt blue eyes continued to glow, as Prophet and Black Widow once again declared their disdain of the witch. Guardian KNEW that they realized they were in a dire situation, but their pride and their very natures would not allow them to capitulate to her in anyway......::

defiant till the very end. if the two of you werent such vapid assholes, i'd be impressed.

::speaking aloud, even as the din of sounds of agression from the giant ant lions and approaching creatures grew louder::

be that as it may, Prophet and Black Widow, you two are now at death's door and there is precious little you can do about it. Oh and Prophet? when your dead and the ant lions are gnawing on your bones and your soul is in hell...please give my regards to your mother. Black Widow? i doubt even the legions of hell would want such an insipid creature as yourself....i believe your pronounced unlikeability transcends all levels of existence.

good bye....and good riddance.

:: with Shockwave and Tempest now standing in the area closest to where Guardian's eyes and voice were, Guardian lowered the magickal barrier that surrounded the group...leaving Black Widow and Prophet vulnerable to the giant Ant Lions....Guardian took Shockwave and Tempest and BLINKED out of sight::

::now...Prophet and Black Widow saw the Ant Lions drawing closer to them....the sounds of their mandibles clicking...as well as them growling was paried with their massive clawed legs clicking along the ground.....they were obviously very hungry and very agressive....as they attempted to surround Haleigh and Cameron......unleashing glowing blasts of the venomous, energy draining webs at both of them. The webbing attached itself to the armor of Black Widow and immediately began to drain it of energy and power...while more webbing wrapped around Prophet's legs...tightly constrictng as he found himself yanked off his feet and being dragged toward one of the ant lions::

---------------------------------------------------------------
further down the access tunnel:

::Guardian reappeared with Shockwave and Tempestt. they were now at the mouth of the tunnel which looked out upon the Hangar dock area::

We've arrived just in time!

:: point to the commotion that was already in progress, Spellbinder surrounded by five LARGE bio hazards and now engaged in full, furious combat::

Foxfire is 4 floors below....and it will not be long before we are greeted by the chief body guards of Adam and Christopher.....bka Black and Imagiomg......we must HURRY and get to her before they do.

:: Guardian pointed as she lead a charge to assist Spellbinder in fighting the creatures and destroying them. she seemed not to give even a second thought to Prophet and Black Widow...whom she had just left behind in the access tunnel::

The Access Tunnel: Haleigh Davidoff

Haleigh laughed at Alison... that woman thought she was so high and mighty... just because she was holding all the cards here. Haleigh pulled the other handgun from her shoulder holster and released the safety.... but she continued to stare at Alison.

"Yes.... it seems as though Lucifer is afraid I might dethrone him... otherwise... I might've died 5 years ago... Go on with your bad self... You know.... you keep trying to convince us that you're a better person than i am.... but you're a murderer, same as i. You're a vicious, vindictive bitch.... same as I."

Haleigh watched them disappear... and smiled. It was only a matter of time before Haleigh would get her chance.... for now... she had some things to take care of. She took a few steps back... now that Alison was gone... and the creatures were moving in... she could see that things were rather one-sided.... and that it would take an act of the gods to get them out of this one.... of course... that didnt deter her... raising hell was something she took pleasure in. As an ant lion closed in on her... and shot webbing at her... she backed up, firing rapidly at its face... and in a flurry of gunfire.... managed to BLIND it completely. as it stopped to writhe in pain and then began rampaging about furiously... in all the wrong directions... Haleigh smiled and turned to prophet...

"Well now.... isnt it convenient that their eyes are all clustered together?"

She said, as he was snatched up by webbing. She scrambled after him, grabbing his shoulders, firing with one hand until she ran out... she'd only got about three eyes and she was sliding along on her knees towards the ant lion.... she dropped her empty firearm and reached into a pouch on her belt and pulled out another silver disc.... pushing a button and hurling it right into the face of the monster. Another second and the thing exploded.... sending Haleigh and Cameron flying in the other direction and taking of the head of the Ant Lion. Haleigh sat up and started firing at the nearest Ant Lion.... trying to hold it off.

"One down.... somehow.... I'd rather spend the rest of my life with these things than spend TEN MINUTES in the same room with Alison. Ya know?"

« Cameron rolled his eyes about the comment on his mother. It was hard to insult someone using their mother when he had never even met his before. None the less, he would rather go out having Alison know his hatred for her than to beg and plead for his life. He didn't care how big the damn Ant Lions. He turned to Haleigh as Alison blinked away from the group with Tempest and Shockwave in tow, he prepared himself for battle with the Ant Lion. He could only smirk at their situation. »

"When we get out of here, it's gonna be SO sweet to rub it in that geriatric lobster face bitch's face! Let's get a move on shall we?"

« Before they could do much, Cameron found Haleigh covered in some glowing web like material that found it's way past Haleigh and began to wrap around Prophet's foot dragging him to the ground and towards the Ant Lion. Haleigh's rapid gunfire proved to be extremely helpful as she was able to get herself out of the way of danger and help Cameron as well. When she grabbed on to him she couldn't get him loose. He watched as she quickly threw a silver disc at the Ant Lion as it exploded, the concussive impact sending them back quite a few feet as they were able to regroup even if for a quick second. As he stood up, he couldn't help but agree with Haleigh's comment. »

"I couldn't agree with you more.. though it looks rather hopeless now.."

« Cameron thrusted out both hands and began firing rapid blasts of his high powered electric blue colored energy blasts, taking out the eyes as he saw that Haleigh was aiming for the same things. He took out plenty of eyes as an oozing green colored type of blood that oozed from where the eyes had been as Cameron quickly lifted a Telekinetic Shield in front of them, allowing them to shoot things out, but not allowing the Ant Lions to come back in. Squinting his eyes he threw two of the Ant Lions back down the tunnel a great distance, as he fell in a puddle of water, quickly getting back onto his feet. As they began to disarm the many spiders, he began to think of ways to where they might not have to kill the Spiders but would allow them to escape and at least get out of the Citadle to get their revenge. »

"Haleigh, we may be bad ass, but you and I both know there isn't any way we are gonna defeat all of them. We need to look for ways out of the tunnel. I still have my shield up, if they try and penetrate it, they will get a nasty blast back, but it won't hold for much longer, these things are huge!"

The Access Tunnel

<< Three of theAnt Lions squealed with pain and annoyance..as they began suttling about ...and although they were slightly injured..their extremely large bodies could pose a threat of CRUSHING Haleigh and Cameron should they wind up underfoot>>

<< there was no telling exactly how many there were, as the tunnel was completely blackened...and how far up it reached had yet to be determined>>

<< even as Black Widow and Prophet managed to defend themselves against the intitial strike, high above there lurked more Ant Lions........as they locked onto their targets who believed themselves safe within the shield of Prophet and unleashed blasts of webbing that surged forth with a hunger fueled agression as they locked onto the field at three triangular points...the began to sparkle and glow....as a strange sound is heard....the webbing is functioning as power conduits....sucking, DRAINING the energy of the field...and causing it to fluxuate....as more ant lions close in...standing up on their hind legs and smashing down HARD with their massive front legs and bodies....rocking Black Widow and Prophet inside....the first two were staggered backwards by the field...which still possesed some potency...but as more and more began wading in and attacking...the field was losing its strength.>>

The Access Tunnel: Cameron King

« As Cameron and Haleigh warded off the Ant Lions around them, Cameron sensed that there were a lot more of these monsters than they could see. His psychic sense picked up on the Ant Lions that were at the top of the tunnel as the webs of glowing energy began to latch on to the shield, draining it of power and weakening the Telekinetic Shield, though it was still active, it wasn't doing just the trick anymore. Using his powers, Cameron began to hover in the air as he spun around and threw his hands out, unleashing a Telekinetic Bomb Blast that hit the spiders with the Impact of a Semi Truck and at the speed of an airplane. It was like an explosion with Cameron at the center of it, sheltered from everything. The bomb blast spread out through the tunnel through the front and even the back, blasting everything in sight. Even though he knew that the spiders were immune to even Tempest's attacks, this would greatly weaken their strength and throw them off balance. As the blast detonated, Cameron and Haleigh were blasted back even further down the tunnel as they put even more distance between them and the Spiders. Cameron looked over at Haleigh, his face having char marks and laughed. »

"Sorry about that, but it is getting us some distance. You see how big those things are!? You gotta be able to use your own powers in some effective way. Lower the temperature enough to create like a wall of ice to shield us and give us some time to get out of here? Something? With my movement powers and your bag of tricks we might be able to get out of here alive..."

« As Cameron saw the legs of some of the spiders, chills went down his spine. These spiders walked so calmly as if they were going to a tea party or something. They were oozing green liquid and their eyes had been shot off, and they were probably even realing with pain, but they showed nothing. It was completely uncanny. He turned to Haleigh to see what she would do next. »

The Access Tunnel: Haleigh Davidoff

"You read my mind..... and just gave me an idea."

She said sarcastically... grabbing her bag as she watched him create a large scale explosion that sent them both further down the tunnel. He was right.... her face was streaked with soot but at least there was some kind of distance between them and the Ant Lions. Haleigh worked quickly.... Cameron had bought them some time but she could already see them surging forward. She searched through her bag.... and looked back up at the monsters.... setting fire to the nearest to hold them off a few seconds longer. She pulled four cubes out of her bag... she knew she couldn't block off the entire tunnel... but at least most of it. She strategically placed the cubes on opposite ends of the floor at the walls... pulling off a slip that exposed the adhesive that would hold it in place, activating each as she left it. she had to throw the last two as far up the tunnel walls as she could.... which unfortunately... was not ALL the way up.... but pretty close. the cubes stuck to the wall... and when she threw the last cube.... it created a forcefield of eletricity that spread across the tunnel and put a barrier between them and the spiders... unfortunately... it probably wouldn't hold for long.... and there was a gap at the top that was large enough for some of the smaller Ant Lions to squeeze through. Haleigh backed away, looking at Cameron and seizing her bag, breezing past him.

"Won't hold for long... we should run...fucking huge. I'm so over this Citadle shit... I just want to kill Alison and call it even.... though I would like to know how Adam Chandler KNEW me..."

It seemed between the both of them.... they might be able to hold them off... But Haleigh seemed to be tiring... she still had some webbing on her suit.... and it was draining her energy slowly. She trudged through the tunnel at Cameron's side.... looking back at the Ant Lions every now and then.

"did you SEE how she acted? I wanted to wipe that smug grin right off her face.... and Eva Valentine too... when we catch back up with them.... I don't doubt she'll STILL be licking Alison's ass."

« As Haleigh set fire near the spiders to buy them more time he watched her in pure amazement as she used a mere four cubes to ignite a huge forcefield of electricity as she breezed passed the telepath and began running down the tunnel. Cameron wasted no time in following her as they put GREAT distance between themselves and the Ant Lions and their pace began to steady, moving slowly. As they went into a light jogging pace Cameron commented on the situation. »

"You're over it? Hales, i've been over it since we got here! That is all I want.. we kill Alison and then we get out of here!"

« He noticed the webbing on Haleigh's suit as he willed it off her with his movement powers. The two had been running for quite some time now and couldn't even hear the spiders anymore, which he guessed was a good sign. Both Haleigh and Cameron were in peak physical condition so they were used to this type of strenuous non stop running. They had to be close to getting at least out of this damn tunnel by now. Cameron tried to channel a premonition that might tell them where they could get out of this place. It was worth a shot. He slowed his pace and he began to channel his psychic energies. He notified Haleigh. »

"Trying to channel a vision.. It's worth a shot. We need something to go on..."

The Access tunnel-- a glimpse of things to come

<< Black Widow's strategy worked....for the moment....though the stoney hides of the antlions would severely limit the amount of damage the Ant Lions would sustain from the electical field....it was a diversion to hold them back long enough, given their slow pace>>

<< down the tunnel they continued...the echo of the fiersome creatures' sounds in the air>>

<< as the two discussed their desire to kill Guardian...Prophet attempted to channel a premonition....focusing his mind's eye as he slowed his pace....after a few moments of extreme concentration, he was pulled into a sudden image>>

the mouth of the tunnel opening up the hangar dock/ a quick survey of the remains of a fierce battle...and the strange looking area around them....and suddenly, blurred images of pain as a being with an other worldly face, skeleton claw like hands ....possessed of incredible height and wearing flowing red robes with a mystic symbol on its chest, burst into view, ravaging Cameron and Haleigh with powerful magickal attacks....so powerful that his and Haleigh's minds and souls were on FIRE...and then....nothing but BLACKNESS

<< this APPEARED to be ...what Guardian spoke of ...coming to pass AFTER all...he was shunted back to reality...with this frightening glimpse into their immediate future>>

Hanger/Dock

:: Hearing the words spoken from Alison, Haleigh, and Cameron, Alexis' eyes met with Haleigh. There was remorse about the meta-human leaving the two behind, and Alexis knew Haleigh could see this. Even though she only met these people today, she promised herself a long time ago, she would never abandon anyone in a situation like this...like her father had her so many times before. Letting a soft sigh escape her lips, she turned seeing the Ant Lions behind Guardian...cringing, that was a plus about leaving with Guardian, she wouldn't have to fight these disgusting things. Suddenly, Alexis was gone from the access tunnel and at the entrance of what looked like a docking area. Scanning her eyes around the massively huge area, Alexis soon saw Spellbinder in the middle of the dock, battling what looked like half human half animal type creatures. ::

:: Guardian soon ran from both herself and Eva, darting to assist Spellbinder. Alexis quickly followed, sprinting behind Guardian. Shifting her eyes from one creature to another, she noticed Spellbinder had already destroyed one of them...leaving only a few for the four to deal with. ::

:: By the time herself and Guardian made it to Spellbinder, she saw the crocodile/human creature unleashed an attack, heading straight for Spellbinder. What looked like a normal blast of water headed at high speeds right towards Spellbinder...but Alexis could feel a tug indicating energy was present in the attack. Quickly acting on her feeling, Alexis thrusted her hand out in a "stop" motion, taking control of the energy from the water blast. Soon, a blue light emitted from the water sphere, soon enclosing itself around the sphere completely. What now looked like a sphere of energy, suddenly stopped only feet away from Spellbinders face, as if it were frozen. Spellbinder would most likely assume Guardian froze the attack, like she had done to so many other attacks from earlier that night; but the moment Alexis stepped in front of Spellbinder, made it clear the meta-human was in control. Her pupils faded from black to blue as the energy ball began to spark, growing to twice it's original size. The contents of the original attack---water and whatever else was mixed into the equation---continued to be apart of the on growing sphere. Soon, Alexis' sphere was huge, as the light and energy illuminated the entire hanger dock. Now lifting her other hand, she needed extra support to control this massive attack....what seemed like minutes after the creature made it's attack, were only mere seconds...the creature didn't even know what was happening before Alexis finally engaged her attack on it. ::

:: Pulling both her hands back towards her chest, she screamed with rage, thrusting her hands forward, throwing the massively huge ball BACK at the creature. The sphere being ten times larger than the creatures size, could engulf it with easy. As the sphere flew at high speeds towards the creature, Alexis waved her arm with force, flattening the sphere...as it now looked like a shockwave. The "shockwave" sliced through the creature like a warm knife to butter...and would to any other creature in it's direct path. The "shockwave" continued it's journey until it hit the opposing wall of the hanger dock, obliterating it as if it were a wall of sand. The explosion caused the entire hanger dock to shake and tremble...very likely being felt/heard from the other levels of the citadle as well. ::
