The Game is afoot, Watson!

Ikaris is delighted that he has both Sati and Hex involved in the Game. It should be quite amusing to watch them in action and the stakes were well worth paying to the winner. Leaving the two of them to carry out whatever plans they might have, he wanders through the club until he nearly literally runs into Riana. He snarls in anger, his eyes shift to obsidian and the nearby shadows begin to grow menacingly. Visably struggling to regain his composure, it is several very long moments before he can bring himself to speak. Where Darkchilde might speak in icy tones, Ikaris' voice gains a hollow sounding vibrato to it. Its a measure of the Dominion's control that he simply doesn't strike out at her magickally.

"Riana. I am rather surprised that you dared to show your face after betraying us. Not that you lack courage, I will grant you that, but you had to know the problems that your presence would cause. No matter what else might have changed about you, its nice to see that you retain a certain....disregard for other's feelings and think only of yourself."

Ikaris smiles as he lets the words sink in, each one chosen with care to cut the deepest. Even as he is speaking, his fingers are weaving sigils at his side. When his spell is complete, no one would be able to hear what they would have to say to each other nor would they be able to telepathically intrude.

"I caught the look on Rayden's face. What happened? Did you betray him as well? You must have, nothing else would be likely to devastate him like that. I would be surprised if he ever manages to recover. Bravo, darling, bravo!"

Laughter escapes his lips but the humor never manages to make it to his eyes. They remain as cold and cruel as Riana has ever seen them.

:: a haze of green collected in the air, until eventually a swirling spiral of green dust swirled down and around, eventually revealing david wearing a pair of snug-fitting leather pants and an emerald green muscle top - his usual, clingy attire. flicking his medium length blonde hair out of his eyes to let it trail down the side of his face. he appeared beside kurama, who he immediately turned to with a smile. he made a small bow before looking back up to him ::

"hey there, havin fun? i'm a little late here...i wasn't gonna come at all, but i decided i needed some chill time, hehe"

:: turning to the bar, he quickly ordered a cosmopoliton before turning back to kurama and taking a step backwards, sitting down on a stool and flicking his hair to the side again, his eyes twinkling as a cool smile passed david's lips. turning around moments later, he picked up his drink and turned back - sipping lightly whilst continuing to smile at kurama ::

:: Kurama looked up and saw Ikaris making his way to Riana, the hackles on the back of Kurama's neck rose and he sent a quick word to Ri ::

Ri, watch your back, I am getting bad vibes from Ikaris and his intentions to talking to you.

:: Kurama then found his channel closed suddenly and knew it was Ikaris' work. Kurama was about to nochalantly go over there but David appeared and Kurama knew he needed to mingle with his coven ::

"Hello David, it is nice to see you here. I think this party needs some action but otherwise I am having a fine time, and yourself?"

:: Kurama smiled warmly trying to get on his good side ::

:: david nodded in agreement with kurama's "more action" comment and smiled back ::

"yeah, i'm pretty good thanks. a little nervous considering i've not really been out on the preverbial pull for a few years, hehe....can ya blame me? the standards i have to keep up with?"

:: david laughed, knowing he probably sounded really stupid to kurama. him, or any other guy in the bar wouldn't have any trouble with the ladies, so david felt even more self concious than before. nervously sipping his drink, he flicked the hair out of his eyes again before quickly surveying the area again. his eyes move much quicker than normal - the nerves obvious in his eyes ::

:: Kurama nods and listens to David laughing slightly ::

"I guess I can't really blame you."

:: Kurama smiled and noticed David's nerves on end ::

"What are you so jumpy about?"

:: looking to Jaron, smiling at his comment and appreciating his attempt to lighten the mood, she shook her head and grinned ::

"I'm sure you'll find him Jaron - or he'll find you. One or the other. But it will happen."

:: keeping her eyes on him she let her words sink in, and then shook her head once more. It wasn't him she was upset with, and he needed to know that. ::

"No, Jaron - its not you I am upset with - you have been nothing but a gentleman and i appreciate everything you have tried to do. Its just -"

:: cutting off, exhaling in frustration as she placed a hand on his chest and looked up to meet his eyes, she steadied her voice. Of all the times for this to happen, it had to happen here ::

" - I just saw something that shocked me, is all. Its nothing to do with you - and you don't need to apologise because you haven't done anything! And besides - you shouldn't worry about me - you must have a lot more better things to spend your time doing!"

:: chuckling, trying to calm herself but knowing it was almost impossible after witnessing what she had just seen, she saw Seth walk off the dancefloor out of the corner of her eye, and sending him a message, raised an eyebrow ::

Enjoy your dance, did you? Two dances in one night from the man who says he doesn't dance!

:: said with a playful tone, she winked to him, then turned serious once more as she watched Will approach. Schooling her face to that of neutral calmness, she locked eyes with him and heard him out. ::

What are you talking about? I don't understand why you would trade your soul if it has something to do with me - I'm not in any danger, and i can certainly take care of myself if i was. You know this. So tell me - and i want the whole story Will - not just some fabricated half truths that tell me nothing - why did you leave and what is this soul business?

:: his eyes flickered back to kurama's for a moment, before forcing himself to look down at his drink as he swirled it around inside his glass, taking his time to answer ::

"well.....i'm a guy who has that whole 'fear of rejection' thing going on...i may be loud sometimes....a lot of the time....ok almost always, but i'm still quite shy really - especially when it comes to the ladies, lol"

:: david laughed meekly, swallowing his entire drink in one go. ordering another, he immediately began to gulp it down ::

"you know, i think something might be wrong....being a heirophant i'm naturally in tune with nature, and something is telling me something is out of balance here....either that or maybe i'm just incredibly weird...."

:: david's eyes dropped to the floor again. he definately didn't fit in here, and it was becoming more and more aparant by the second ::

A smirk, somewhat sinister and malicious formed on his face as listened to Natasha. It apparently hadn't dawn on her that if his soul was gone, what was he now?

It was a trade-off..existence...for everything to be reset for a second chance here, in exchange for the soul. Ha...trying to be all brave and noble, and look at the results. Ooo, fabricated half-truths, eh? So i guess i'm a liar now? Well, if i'm lying, or giving you...'fabricated half-truths', then what is this here?

A glow which apparently wasn't noticed, now seemed obvious in his pocket as Will pulled out a glowing ball....a familiar item to Natasha and many others. The orb glowed a bright orange as it was tossed playfully in his hands.

If you really want the truth, and really want this soulful bastard back, you're gonna have to get this first...before it's smashed.

Before coming back, Will had known this would happen, what fate had intended for him. Never one to settle, he took measures to try and prevent or change this. The original plan was to get the orb to Natasha before it happened, and have it restored back to him. It would end everything and there would be no need to keep anything from her. Jules had been told because she would then become a wild card of sorts to help him when he needed it also. However, he did not count on what would happen if he did not have his soul, a mistake that seemed to be a dangeous one. He had only hoped that things worked out before he lost the few things dear and important to him. Fate was now out of his hands, for sure, and now in the hands of Natasha, his now soulless form, and those around him. Tricking and defeating fate was a dangerous and potentially deadly game that was now being played.

:: Kurama smiled warmly towards David to reassure him ::

"Oh don't worry, I am sure you are pretty good when you really try. Don't feel like your out of place."

:: Kurama tried to make him feel a little more at ease ::

"Just...are you all right? I have nothing better to do...don't be silly you actually have me concerned, and that is a feat in itself..."

((Jaron said as he still held Natasha in his arms...he didn't care of her compliments...they definately were nice, but he was concerned about someone else for once. Following her gaze to Will he noticed a glowing orb in his hand.))

"Natasha...what is that...he seems to be teasing you with it or something...I can get it for you if you like...telekinetically that is..."

:: catching the malicious cast to his expression, she frowned and moved a little further away from him, closer to Jaron. The impact of his words finally hitting her - he had traded his soul away! she gasped and looked to him again. Who stood in front of her now, if wills' soul was no longer within him? How changed would he be, now that his soul was gone? Looking at him, picking up the small differences within him - now more malicious, more fiery - more angry - she shook her head, wondering just what sort of man he had become. Her own anger getting the better of him as he spoke, she retorted back to him, feeling more secure with Jaron near her ::

You traded your soul for a second chance? And you knew what would happen? The consequences of that action? I'm not saying you lie - I'm saying i want the whole truth - not a jumbled collection of images you showed me before.

:: now cautious of him, she took a deep breath as she saw what he produced next - the glowing orange orb. Trying to calm her own emotions, she kept her eyes locked on him as he seemed to change - his demeanor moving from collected to angry. Staring straight into his eyes she held her own ::

Hand me that, will. Let this all be over and done with...

:: still keeping her eyes on him, she heard Jaron's comments and without taking her eyes off will, replied ::

"You don't want to know what it is - but if you can get it, then go ahead. I don't know if i can touch it without it burning me. If i was a part of will's bargain, I might not be able to handle that orb."

((Jaron looked at Natasha as she scooted closer to him. His eyes squinting the moment she asked him to try if he so wished. Immobilizing Will from making any sudden movements, Jaron strained as the orb didn't want to come to him. His telekinesis moving it toward him and Natasha as it hoovered there, unless Will had someway of summoning it back...or keeping it bound to him.))

"I don't know what to do with it..."

((Jaron said keeping his stare on the orb and not letting it falter...it wasn't moving very quickly toward them. But it was coming toward them...what to do with it though was the question.))

Will was frozen momentarily as Jaron moved to get the orb. Despite not having a soul anymore, there was still a struggle within to make sure Jaron and Natasha succeeded, the effect further immobilizing the body. This would not last long however, so time was of the essence.

:: casting a sidelong glance Jaron's way, she raised an eyebrow to him and retorted. ::

"And i do? I don't even know if i can touch the thing without getting shocked or burned!"

:: watching it hover between them, Natasha desperately tried to come up with solutions. Thinking quickly, she used her energy powers to create a negatively charged energy shield around the orb. Acting as a protection as well as a temporary holding device, the shield would at least buy them some time. Gingerly reaching out to touch the now enclosed orb, she reached for it and clasped it. Looking to Jaron questioning she sighed ::

"Now what? I don't know if i have the power to do anything more."

:: turning to look at will, feeling frustrated and annoyed at her inability to do anything to help him - or save him - she almost slammed her fist down on the table, but controlled herself. It wouldn't help anyone if she let her emotions get the better of her... ::

((Jaron concentrating on holding Will telekinetically, mumbled.))

"I dunno...slam it into his chest or something...I have no idea..."

((Jaron said not sure what to do...he wanted to help Natasha, but how was he helping her just holding Will. He had a feeling Natasha would have to put it back in Will somehow.))

Snapping out the hold, Will lunged for the orb, using negative energy to partially cancel out the effect. The shield still kept him from it momentarily. However, the orb glowed an even brighter orange as a bolt if energy eminated from it, striking the body knocking it back, and sending the orb forward, rolling on the table in front of Jaron and Natasha.

*Her eyes immedietly spotted the new arrival at the club: a tall blonde decked out in white clothing. What caught Amy's attention most was that the woman was a Mutant and a new playmate to have fun with. She didn't have very many social mutant friends now that Kurama had defected, and she couldn't pass up the opportunity to miss a new chance. Looking at the girl approach the bar, she smiled at her, hoping not to sound too forward as she activated her mindspeak, not wanting to shout across the loudness around the bar.*

"Hope I'm not intruding, but after you get your drink, you're more than welcome to come and socialize here if you don't mind. Haven't seen you around before, are you new?"

*Hearing the lightning crash inside the club, she turned to see Farrah emerge from where ever she had been. She looked at Morph for a moment before taking a sip from her nearly empty strawberry daiquiri. Looking over her shoulder to the bartender, she ordered a refill, waiting for her new drink.*

"I believe entertainment 2 has arrived as well."

*Grinning to herself, she watched Will lunge forward towards Jaron and Natasha as they were fighting over a...box...of something. Still curious, she kept an keen eye watching the entire scene in case anything were to happen.*

"Just slam it into his chest? I think it might be a little more difficult than that. But anything is worth trying now -"

:: about to take Jaron up on his idea, she was caught off guard as will suddenly lunged foward to take the orb. Watching him as it moved towards her, she grabbed it up quickly and without thinking, combined all of her natural magics and energy reserves, hurling the orb back at him. Removing her shield at the last instant, she watched as the orb slammed into his chest, creating a blinding flash of light as her own magics took over to bind it back to his body. ::

:: momentarily blinded by the flash of light, she covered her eyes before looking to him, hoping that at least by placing the orb back within him it had bought them some time ::

((As Natasha hurled the ball Jaron watched as the shield went down. The moment the flash went off Jaron instinctively wrapped his arms around Natasha sinking further into the couch as he slid a bit in front of her just in case any negative or harmful energies were released. His aqua blue eyes peeking out toward Natasha reassuring himself she was safe and back to Will...wondering what came of it!))

"You ok Natasha..."

((Jaron said his muscular arms enveloping her. His face turned to her as he didn't have to worry about focusing on his telekinetic hold anymore.))

:: Taking a sip of his drink, Seth turned back to raise an eyebrow at Jaron after hearing his comment::

Whatever you say Jaron - who am I to question your methods in getting a woman?

:: Feeling like he needed some air, Seth then got up out of the couch. About to head out he replied to Natasha's question::

It wasnt too bad. I dont usually dance, but who am I to refuse two drop dead gorgeous women a dance?

:: Sending her a small smile before walking out::
