Under cover of darkness

[ Delilah nodded. Alison's assessment was logical. But the decision still was not an easy one. Did they do what was right for them, or what was right? Her fingers absentmindedly played with the disc Haleigh had left for them. She remembered a quote she had heard once: There is no such thing as a difficult decision. You just don't like the decision you've already made. Was that it? Was she struggling with the fact that what she really thought was that they should kill this man without a second thought? ]

"As much as I want him out of our lives - I don't think we can keep playing with reality to suit ourselves. Eventually, that is going to catch up with us. It doesn't cost us anything to keep him in limbo while we interrogate him. Afterwards, if he's still a threat...then he must die. But that should be our last resort. On a side note...maybe we should deal with this ourselves. Some of the other members of this group are not at their most...focused...at the moment. Their fighting is a detriment to this team right now, and we can't afford it."

:: Ava was pretty much quiet the entire time Haleigh and Nicolas fought. So far they had three tasks: Figuring out what to do with Ethan, getting Haleigh help, and keeping Nicolas and Haleigh from murdering each other. Among other things. Folding her arms across her chest, her buzz was long gone and Ava was quite pissed about that. Looking to Morningstar as she spoke, Ava rolled her eyes. ::

"Ethan is a contract killer with the power of invisibilty. I hardly doubt if Morgan takes a quick trip to limbo, fillet's his ass, and rids us of one among many other problems, anyone would miss him. Or even notice he was gone."

:: Ava's voice was very even and synical. That man was of no use to the team as far as she was concerned, and would kill him herself if need be. ::

The Parthenon

<< Morgan folded her arms and pouted a bit to herself. could see the clarity and logic in what Alison said, and Delilah had a point about them altering time and reality to always suit their needs. BUT SHE STILL WANTED TO KILL HIM! She perked up at Delilah's statement about them handling it themselves.>>

Alison said we needed to make it "intense"....Limbo reflects what I am. I can make it appear to be ANYTHING to anyone that is there, i can do ANYTHING there...we could truly scare the HELL out of him, show him how LITTLE control he HAS. D, you're a police officer, you know how to handle official interrogations and you are more..."patient" than i am. YOU can handle the actual interrogation. Your light powers will ADD to the psychological warefare.
Alison of course will be able to discern if he's lying and of course Persephone and I'll be there as well of course to make sure he minds his manners.... unless he wants to be barbequed.

<< looking up at a clock.>>

we should just go now and get it over with. we're all here...all together.

Nicolas Apartment...sort of.

Even as he was getting a hold of himself, Nicolas found himself relegated to the sidelines, a la Morgan's decision. He realized much to his chagrin that he was back in his own apartment, the site of so much happiness before. Now, he was there, a very upset young man who had lost control when he needed to be calm.
He realized that morgan had made the right decision, and he took hr suggestion of seeing Dr. Victora to heart. he had not seen her in a bit, and he was still very upset. So, he did what any upset young man might do, he tried to contact his mother figure.

Nicolas sat on his floor stock still. His astral form left his body and went out of Illustra, out to Dr. Karen Victoria's home in Soho. He knew that it was late, but he needed an ear right now. He believed, hoped at least, that she woud listen to him.

"Dr. Victoria. Dr. Victoria!! It is Nicolas. Do you have a moment? I really need...to talk."

Nicolas voice was strained, full of tension as he called upon the doctor and sorceress.

Morgan reacted.... though not quite in the way Haleigh'd anticipated, but truly.. it was just, for Haleigh was as responsible for the state of things as Nicolas was. Haleigh gave a soft, defeated smile. Her voice was low but deliberate.

"Morgan... I'm not trying to force your hand. I... just wanted to make sure you knew my position. yes, Morgan, Im doing it NOW, because I'm not sure... if I DONT do it now i may never. There was once a time in my life I was very close with Death.... and Crime, too.... but that is behind me now. And that's where I'd like it to stay."

Haleigh took a deep breath, and sighed, shaking her head, that same smile there. She looked around the room, and then up at the ceiling.

"Yes, Morgan... I suppose you are right. YOU are the leader... and you will decide as YOU deem appropriate.... and I'M not a Seer... so what do I know?"

Morgan told her to see Karen in the morning and to go home for now. Haleigh didnt much like the idea of leaving THEM to deal with Ethan... but she knew it was beyond any manner of talk now. Moreover... she didnt AT ALL like the idea of being dismissed... but things were too fragile to tamper with now. Hopefully... what she'd said so far was enough to plant the IDEA in their heads that Ethan might be of some use to them. She nodded, resigned, for once, to let things be the way they were... and to trust them to do what was best.

"Mmm..... goodnight."

She said, just before the stepping disc enclosed her.

and so.....

<< and so, as the night wore on...there was at least some sense of CALM returned as Nicolas and Haleigh were sent to Illustra leaving Morgan, Delilah, Alison and Ava to deal with Ethan.>>

<< Morgan saw things quite simply in this case. KILL the person who threatens those you care about but for once, Haleigh was the person to remind them all of the "grey area" in this case...even if she couldnt keep herself from ADDING to the problem facing the team dynamic by fighting with Nicolas.>>

<< Alison provided them with a clear choice of options and after input from Delilah and Ava and Morgan made her descision. While Nicolas and Haleigh sent home....the others traveled with Morgan to Limbo where they would not only pay Ethan a little visit, they would endeavor to show the man just how DEEP in over his head he was.>>

<< from the night skies of New York City, to the chaotic skies of Limbo.>>
