Heart Attack
Just released at the end of last year, this was capcom's first completely CGI film for the Resident Evil franchise. It features Claire Redfield and Leon S. Kennedy, the protagonists/survivors of the resident evil 2 video game and as such...this movie is sort of a sequel. It acknowledges the events of the RE games.
The movie is VERY well done visually. they used human actors in suits to simulate very real movements for the characters. and the story is very nice. there's a clear connection to the events of the RE timeline from RE 0 through RE 3.
Claire Redfield has matured and is ALMOST as capable and competent as Jill Valentine
Leon S. Kennedy has gone from being a shell shocked rookie cop trying to stay alive in Raccoon City to being a hardened, seasoned special agent who is not big on words but is very efficient in his actions.
Among other things The story seems to suggest that while Umbrella may have been "blown apart" by the backlash from the events of Raccoon City, that its scattered pieces may be coming back together in the form of "Tricell", a new bio research corp.
Has anyone else seen this? I highly recommend it for fans of the RE video game series. It WISELY ignores the shit that is going on in RE 4.
