I actually hadn't thought of this before, but I took a flip through this little member-directed RPG we have on BB, and I came across posting from one of our head mods on there, Old Master 3.0 (real name Walter). The Academy - Page 7 - Buffy-Boards

He's been in charge of our invite-only fanfic project, but it's been a while since we've done any RP-ing on there so it didn't occur to me he could be a possibility. He's had some computer trouble but just got a new one so I know he's reliable.

That RPG has sort of lost it's leader, so it's moving slow right now, which is why he hasn't posted more.

I don't care either way on this, but I thought I'd let you take a look and see what you think.

hmm well he definitely has character narrative based rpg posting down.

what's your overall opinion of him as a board member/poster? is he consistent? does he have any kind of marvel/comic knowledge?
 
He's definitely a comics fan - not on the level of you of course lol, and I think he's more DC IIRC but he's my other Smallville freak and I know he's way into the Batverse.

He's a nice/funny person and he's on BB every day (like I said, head mod). If he's not going to be around for any reason, he'll say so (he doesn't just disappear). He had computer problems before, and he always let us know somehow that that's what was going on.

I also think he could probably use an outlet from BB lol, cause he restrains himself on there so much from what he'd really LIKE to say to people lol
 
yes. :) it seems he could mesh well w/ this format & the players. & if he's more into DC or something else...that's one more source of creativity that will be added to the game :) I especially like that he doesnt disappear w/out SOME kind of notice :nod:
 
Yeah, I always respect people who are like that. He had some health issues a while back and needed time away from the board, and instead of just not showing up (like most do) he asked for a leave of absence. And then when he could be online again he came back. He's been a mod for...I would say at LEAST 5 years if not 7 or 8.
 
You know, Black Eye Guy is on right now, and he's run our RPG on BB. I'm just not sure how much he'd stick around, though. But I sort of think he would if there was a storyline that keeps moving, you know? Like we have here? I think he (like everyone else in our RPGs) just stops posting when there's not someone moving things along. But it's an option. I can scare up some examples of his stuff if you want. *shrugs*
 
Ooh, possible new players?? Fun stuff!! Now if we do get a new player in the six, how would that work since we're currently on hold for my storyline?

ive been thinking about that myself. its ESSENTIAL we have Black Widow, Spellbinder, MorningStar & Rampage present in that storyline. i'm willing to hold it until Lexi returns.

I suppose we'd have to skip ahead to another story or continue w/ a few non canons...vil's idea in particular would be much easier to pull off w/ several new players.
 
I haven't contacted Black Eye Guy obviously, but I gave Walt the link to the archive forum, telling him we were doing a non-canon storyline at the moment. I also gave him the link to the story so far and the character thread and told him there were links there to our bios (but that they were currently being updated). I saw him looking at some threads earlier.

If it comes to it we can just do this story at a later time - we can rewrite some of the posts to fit in to whatever we have going on personally to the characters at that time. I DO wish we could get some word from Lexi though. I'm worried about her.
 
Same here. It isn't like her to just up and disappear. I really hope she's okay.

If anything, we can put my storyline on hold and start a completely different one if we end up getting new players. That way we can get a feel of their style and they can get to know our characters without being thrust into a huge dramatic plot. We could do something more action based and power centered--like our old MysTech storylines. Just an idea.
 
Agreed about Lexi.:( I'm concerned mysel & I truly hope she's okay. She'll usually drop a line @ some point whether its in OOC or my PM box even if its a few weeks...she always checks in when she's held up w/ work or having pc issues but its been a WHILE now.

im going to look over BEG's postings now & see what i think.
 
You used to say that about yourself (even though we all told you that wasnt true ;) ) if anyone can convince him (if he's that interested) it'll be you :) let me know what comes of it. i still need to look at BEG's stuff. Ill do that today.
