Delilah: "I understand how you feel. Let's just get to the truth first before we decide what to do about it, okay?"

Looking over at Delilah, Ava could feel her heart racing with anger. But as she saw the sympathetic look her friend gave her, she took a few breaths in an attempt to calm down. She knew this wasn't productive, but there was only so much a single person could take without finally cracking. Ava was going to let it go....WAS.

Sharon: You have the GAUL to speak like that? Your father was a murderer who profited on the BLOOD of others, including MINE. He broke into Alycia's office and ATTACKED her.

"Like Alycia broke in here and attacked HIM [gesturing to the senator]. You can paint my father any way you want Sharon, but he was STILL my FATHER. And SHE [Alycia] killed him. I will NEVER forgive her for that."

Sharon: Funny that you should respond like this, when you were given multiple chances yourself including after YOU MURDERED Mike Armstrong!

"And I paid for that with the unraveled relationship I now have with Karen, a woman whom I deeply respect. So don't throw stones at me when I ADMIT to MY FAULTS and PAY MY DUES!"

Haleigh: "YES SHARON, She killed Mike. And YOU SLAUGHTERED over TWENTY people in a CHURCH SANCTUARY on you way to TRY to murder ME, and I have killed 53 people in cold blood to this DAY and have been directly or indirectly responsible for the deaths of MANY more, and if I were to stop and NAME all of them, we would be here for HOURS, and DON'T YOU SEE HOW COUNTERPRODUCTIVE IT IS TO KEEP SCORE ALL THE FUCKING TIME?!?"

Shutting her eyes, Ava took a moment to just let everything sink in. They were so beyond where they were supposed to be team-wise that, honestly, she didn't know HOW they were going to pull it together.

Sharon: I'm going to contact Alycia myself and ask her to meet me.

[Haleigh:[/b] "OH THANK YOU, FINALLY!!"

With an exasperated sigh, Ava mirrored Haleigh's sentiments as they all finally agreed to disagree. The best solution was for Sharon to get ahold of Alycia. With her fingers pinching the bridge of her nose, Ava just remained quiet. There was nothing more to say at this point.

Cameron watched the back and forthe with little amusement. This reminded him of a very real time when Morgan herself seemed to be turning.. darker, much like the Sharon was he saw before him. The last time something like this happened Cameron, Haleigh and Blaze LOST their lives. He had long since learned that the trivialness that was sometimes the Six was not something he wished to be a part of unless absolutely necessary, as his mouth had gotten him in more trouble that probably anyone on the team.

Nicolas backed Sharon up that the location was innappropriate and Cameron rolled his eyes. He had spent the last 14 hours with a woman who very much took pleasure in TORTURING him in a number of different ways. Though he was healed in Limbo, much of the mental anguish was still there, and NOBODY was asking HIM if he wanted to "switch venues". He did agree though that the murder did not appear to be Alycia's style, and he could entertain the possibility of a setup. Whoever Alycia was NOW, it wasn't the same Alycia Barnett, and she could have very likely helped whoever murdered the Senator, less she did it herself.

They ALL had blood on their hands. Cameron had killed a woman at the age of 16. He didn't know he was a mutant, he didn't kill for the greater good. He didn't kill for any other reason at all other than acceptance in a gang that probably would have killed him anyway, looking back. Her name was Joanna, and SHE would always live inside of him. Her final thoughts as she bled out, the flashes of her two very much alive children, waiting for their mother to come home from the grocery store. How would Sharon feel about Cameron knowing THAT? Would she have bedded him then?

In the final outburst, Ava lashed out at Sharon, very much owning up to the blood she had spilt on her own. Cameron was reaching the end of his rope and he was about to very much take control of the situation by mentally COMPELLING them all to shut their mouths when Sharon FINALLY admitted that she would contact Alycia and meet with her. Prophet let out a sigh of relief.

"Thank God."

and so

<< It seems that as quickly as one survives a nightmare, they soon forget the lesson behind it.>>

<< the Six's cohesion as it's weakest, a place that is not unfamiliar for them to be, but as with each time before, there are special circumstances that make this one especially perilous. With Silver Swan a step and a heart beat from either switching sides OR attacking one or more of her own "team mates", Haleigh struggling with symptoms that Malice not so quietly indicated were directly related to the T Virus, Cameron reeling from the fact that Six were in a TRUCE with the Sisterhood and an over all general sense of dischord among the team thanks to the rift between Sharon, Haleigh and Delilah; It was as if they had forgotten the lessons learned the hard way before, particularly during the Inferno or Barbas capers.>>

<< in keeping so many other echos from the ghosts of things and people past, the Six were taken to a stronghold that once belonged to BISHOP, the man who irrevocably altered the course of all their lives for ever. to be here, whether Bishop was alive or not was a source of displeasure for Silver Swan and Rampage while the others seemed to appreciate just having ANY place to go outside of the Hellfire Club to discuss and apparently give in to more dysfunction. Still, to be here of all places was definately an irony.>>

<< as the awful truth about Senator Ron Davis' murder seem to stare them all in the face, they clashed over the subject of Alycia. But to stand there and do nothing was just as irresponsible as anything else they'd seen in the past 24 hours and so, Sharon contacts Alycia.>>

<< After a chilly conversation, which underscores how much Alycia's feelings for the Six have cooled. The woman OBVIOUSLY knows they are on to her as far what she did, but they dont have all the details. Sharon stresses that they just want to SEE her, talk to her. They arent "after her." Alycia reluctantly agrees to meet with them and after getting the location, she makes her way there under cover of night.>>

<< time passes and the Six are spread out around the warehouse, as if a LITERAL indication how far apart they are in spirit. The smallest saving grace is that at least this hadnt played out directly in front of The Sisterhood, though Malice would no doubt PICK the memories out of one of the unprotected minds of the group and find a way to throw it back at them.>>

<< Alycia arrives in a black, unmarked car, looking as clandestine as she did in the video feed image that was played on Mother Brain last night. She calls Sharon and informs her that she's there and ready to be let in.>>

<< once inside, they can begin the next round. and so we watch.>>

arrival

:: Alycia arrived, and quickly invited inside. There she was, wearing a black trench that was tied around the waist. her hair was wrapped and covered in a black scarf, she was wearing black wide rimmed sun glasses, black leather gloves and high heeled boots. Everything about her was cold, guarded, she was once again ACTIVELY using the mental techniques taught her by the amazons to impede the intrusion of a telepath.::

:: as she lowered her frames, and looked around the area, she realized where they had brought her and immediately cast a disdainful glare at Delilah.::

Oh this is VERY funny, Delilah. Bring me to this of all places. Is this your idea of reunion?

Something a little more suitable such as the Parthenon would have been preferred. I am able to travel freely and move in plain sight without being noticed. I could have easily rented a suite and you could have shown up there. You know like how you intruded upon me at the Roosevelt?

:: casting her glare at Haleigh on that not as well. and so, without even knowing what had happened before she arrived, she confirmed Nicolas and Sharon's anticipation of her disapproval.::

If this is some kind of psychological trick to get to me, you can forget it.

Now what do you want? I thought I made it clear that when i was finished with things I had to do, and as soon as I had anymore information on WilPharma or who was responsible for the attack on LAX!

and Sharon? why are YOU with them? After our last conversation I thought you understood the need to get as far away from them as possible?

Delilah had returned to her couch and rested her weary body. She spent her time waiting for Alycia staring into space. She didn’t want to risk uncovering the windows, but some natural light would have been welcome to her and her mood. She was just so very tired of all this. Sharon didn’t and wouldn’t understand how deeply her behavior hurt Delilah. As she had said, they HAD been very good friends. Having Sharon TURN on her beyond what seemed the point of no return was painful, but it wasn’t something she was about to share with the others, or even admit to herself. Sharon was being horrible, and she wasn’t about to just let her get away with that.

Delilah stood slowly as Alycia entered. She gave her a weak smile, knowing that these were not the best of circumstances for them to be reuniting again so soon.

Alycia Barnett said:
Oh this is VERY funny, Delilah. Bring me to this of all places. Is this your idea of reunion?

She shook her head. She answered the question seriously, even though it wasn’t asked that way.

“No, it was my idea of a place where whoever’s dropping TO virus on people wouldn’t get to you. Or the police…I would of thought your safety would be more important to you than this...pettyness.”

Alycia Barnett said:

“Come on Alycia, you know I don’t play tricks. But with your reaction when we DID visit you at your hotel, I could only assume that wouldn’t be welcome a second time. With your new…affiliations…maybe you don’t want to be seen with us. And we couldn’t be sure that it WAS you who was using belladonna."

Alycia’s statement had all but confirmed that it WAS her that killed Ron Davis.

Alycia Barnett said:

“Well, honestly, Sharon didn’t want to wait. I think most of the people here want to know if you killed Ron Davis and why. What do I want? I want to make sure you’re okay and that if the heat comes down on you for Ron Davis’ death, that you contact us and let us hide you. But I can’t speak for the others on that part.”

She paused.

"Now, would you like to sit down?"

discussion

:: Delilah had certainly become much more agressive, hadnt she? Not that Alycia was BOTHERED by it. It reminded her of HERSELF in her earlier years.::

MorningStar said:

Delilah, how would you feel if you were in MY position?

:: Unlike Sharon, who was apparently BEYOND the threshold of "reason" for most of them, Alycia still had it within her to be able to engage in an exchange, at least long enough to see if the person was genuine or full of shit, at which point she would change her tactics accordingly.::

You bring me HERE, to this place, that belonged to a man who tried to kill me...who succeeded in ruining ALL of our lives. It's like you still carry a TORCH for him! What am i SUPPOSED to think when I realize where I'm at...and now in the room with EVERYONE that i really didnt care to see right now?

and you know I'm not stupid either. I know whose idea it was for you to come to the Roosevelt and I'm quite sure YOU were the only reason that you all didnt just suddenly APPEAR inside. ::referring to one of Haleigh's previous visits when she invited herself into Alycia's apartment during the revelation of the Arklay mansion.::

I also know that my "wellbeing" may have been a genuine concern of yours, but its not universal. Once again I'm seen as a means to an end by more than a few of you.

I'm not at ALL thrilled about our paths crossing. Whether any of you likes that or not, I don't care. I have my own life to lead and I dont relish becoming a ZOMBIE again because of who I work alongside, nor do i wish my life to be BLOWN APART by someone like Bishop again.

YOU might "care" about me, Delilah, because you've always been a decent person. But don't expect me to believe that THEY...especially HER :: gesturing at Ava:: Do.

:: when she asked, what Delilah wanted...::

Of course that's what you ...or excuse me..."THEY" wanted. That's why you called me...well really it wasnt you, it was Sharon because I think you know I wouldnt have responded to anyone else's attempts at contact.

Delilah said:

Fine. Let's sit down.

:: She seats herself and removes her glasses but does not remove her trench or scarf.::

Now then, lets get to the point. I killed Ron Davis.

<< just as he gloats, he attempts to put in a phone call...about ALYCIA BARNETT.>>

Ron Davis: She's smarter than I thought. She's also cheated death more than a couple times. I paid you to make sure that she didnt survive LAX and instead she wound up becoming a SAVIOR, her and that band of MUTIES she used to run with.

<< as he berates his contact and goes over more specifics about Alycia, including her mother's whereabouts....the double doors open silently and slowly, but nothing can be seen...the shut. >>

Ron Davis: Terra Save is still too "controvesial" no one is going to believe them until its too late. It doesnt matter that they keep screaming Mystech=WilPharma. They cant protect Alycia...now I want you find her, and take care of it! I don't want her bothering me ANYMORE and youve got the information to "leak" to the press about her involvement in LAX. It will totally discredit her and Terra Save and....

<< Ron Davis's head jerks back as if forced to be titled back. he grips the arm rests of his seat and begins to choke and gag....as he looks like he's in the throws of shock. his eyes wide and bulging with shock and terror as he is being STRANGLED before FINALLY his throat is cleanly, swiftly SLIT from EAR to EAR. But the fact that the assailant is sight unseen, makes it all the more bizarre.>>

<< he's still not quite dead...as he shakes and jibbers...gurgling with the last gasps of death while "PIG" is scrawled out across the wall.>>

<< the faintest "outline" of a feminine form can be seen as lightning flashes across the high rise window and the computer is shown to load a disc, download all wilpharma and related data, including some old files on MYSTECH...PROOF that they are connected. before a virus then begins ravaging the system and deleting everything.>>

<< still no sounds, other than Davis' dying body. the double doors open, then shut.>>

FLASH

I...know about the attack on the Hellfire Club. Deborah knew about it too. She told me that a man who was OBSESSED with mystech "folk lore" had contacted Davis about WilPharma, asking him all sorts of questions. Davis eventually asked HIM if he wanted to do something to "help out" in exchange for a huge amount of money. He agreed...Deborah overheard the entire exchange and that was when she decided to get out. She contacted me using the hotline to Terra Save whichoffers to survivors of Mystech related disasters and other bio terror events a source of support and protection. Because of the information Deborah gave me, I was able to get to Davis BEFORE he got to me and i counted on the disaster at the Hellfire Club to keep any of YOU from interfering with me...and maybe taking out MALICE. But I'm sure she survived. I was hoping to be on my way out of the country by now...out of some...nostalgia for days long gone, did i allow myself to be diverted here to have this meeting with you.

Davis is a PIG...he got what he deserved. He set me up...that meeting at the airport was a sham. he wanted me there so that i could DIE in a bio terror event that HIS cronies helped set up.

He's been trying to kill me ever since he found out that i was a member of Terra Save. I've escaped SEVERAL "accidents" along the way. I was protecting myself. And my mother, you remember, the woman whom Mystech made a WIDOW? Deborah Jennings, his secretary, gave me information, in exchange for protection. She's gone now...as far as anyone's concerned, she doesnt exist. Becaue of her, I knew exactly when to find Davis...and kill him BEFORE he could kill me! My days of being a damsel in distress are OVER!

:: Alycia speaks with a code, bitter tone. She must know what was the ultimate cause behind the LAX attack now.::

I told you TERRA SAVE is trying to spread the word, but people are stupid, they don't want to listen because they're afraid of what it means. it MEANS that MYSTECH has come back!

Ron Davis is dead, that cuts off a MAJOR inroad on U.S. soil. I'm on my way out of here, to go overseas. There is more work to be done. I...WE :: Terra Save:: have to find the SOURCE of all this. WilPharma is powerfull, but not on the scale of Mystech. Not yet. Someone is behind this...all of it. the disasters overseas...the sudden revival and spread of the T virus.

:: Alycia was not aware of the mysterious green eyed woman that had shown herself to the Six & the Sisterhood::

Nice post showing Alycia's new attitude!

“I understand that you don’t want to see us – really I do. Bishop never used this place, so I knew it was clear, and we don’t have the same ability to move about this city at our leisure as we once did. I’m sorry if you find this place upsetting, but right now we might as well use every asset we have. Bishop is dead, he ruined ALL of our lives, as you said – we might as well use him for all we can now. And whatever our motives are, the end goal is the same: to stop these terror attacks once and for all.”

As Alycia accepted her invitation to sit, Delilah sat too in a chair near to her. She listened attentively as she recounted the death of Ron Davis. It wasn’t exactly self-defense, but it wasn’t exactly murder either. And Delilah perhaps better than anyone knew that there was little hope of prosecuting the senator. That didn’t mean she agreed with Alycia’s actions, or that she wasn’t taken a bit aback by Alycia’s new take on life, but she could understand. And she certainly didn’t want to see her friend go down for this. Surprisingly to Delilah, it actually bothered her more that Alycia had knowledge of the attack on the Hellfire Club and didn’t contact them. She had trouble believing Alycia would wish that fate on anyone.

“First thing we need to do is make sure that hit man has got the message that Ron Davis is dead. Haleigh, did you download the content of Davis’ cell phone? We need to find the person he was talking to.”

Looking to Alycia, she spoke more softly, trying to respect her new position outside of the Six.

“Alycia, do you have a plan regarding this information you have linking MysTech and WilPharma? Perhaps leaking it to a few key media sources…? And would you please allow us to help make sure you get out of the country safely?”

Alycia Barnett said:

Delilah nodded.

“We might have some information on that. We spent a lovely night at the Hellfire Club.”

She made a motion with her hand to Haleigh, inviting her to continue.

They got a hold of Alycia, and she agreed to meet. They waited for her to arrive. Slowly but surely everyone began to drift apart from each other, perhaps subconsciously seeking space from each other. There wasn't enough space in the universe to illustrate the distance between Sharon and the rest of them, especially Haleigh and Delilah. Haleigh sank into an armchair near the couch where Delilah lounged. Nobody said another word. Haleigh didn't look at Cameron, not even once.

Alycia finally got there, and she was clearly not happy. Haleigh didn't bother with the formalities. She knew they would be doubted and unappreciated ANYWAYS.

Alycia: Something a little more suitable such as the Parthenon would have been preferred. I am able to travel freely and move in plain sight without being noticed.

"Without being noticed? Good grief, Alycia. You look like a bank-robbing CIA agent. Could you BE anymore conspicuous??"

Alycia: I could have easily rented a suite and you could have shown up there. You know like how you intruded upon me at the Roosevelt? If this is some kind of psychological trick to get to me, you can forget.

[sarcastically] "Oh YES, Alycia, you've found us out. We've come halfway across the country and rearranged our entire collective morning around playing a psychological trick on YOU. And then we picked this particular warehouse JUST for you. Will you LISTEN to yourself? Stop being so ridiculous for a few minutes. He didn't try to kill you HERE, he ISN'T here, his pictures aren't on the coffee table, his plots against us aren't hanging on the wall. WHY are you giving this place, this INSIGNIFICANT, IMPERSONAL warehouse the POWER to affect your mood and your ability to focus on why you actually CAME here?"

Her frustration was showing. They could not seem to avoid petty bickering. Everyone had a problem with SOMETHING and there were no answers, no solutions, only more discontent.

Alycia: I know whose idea it was for you to come to the Roosevelt and I'm quite sure YOU were the only reason that you all didnt just suddenly APPEAR inside.

That was a not so subtle implication. Haleigh saw no point in responding with anything more than a derisive smile.

Alycia: I also know that my "wellbeing" may have been a genuine concern of yours, but its not universal. Once again I'm seen as a means to an end by more than a few of you.

"Do us the decency of dropping the act, Alycia. Don't pretend to give a damn about how WE regard YOU, when YOU are constantly telling US that we mean NOTHING to you anymore, at least nothing MORE than a mere thorn in your side."

Alycia: I'm not at ALL thrilled about our paths crossing. Whether any of you likes that or not, I don't care. I have my own life to lead and I dont relish becoming a ZOMBIE again because of who I work alongside.

"Well I hate to burst your pretty little bubble dear, but I recall you ALMOST became a Zombie again YESTERDAY, and it had nothing to DO with us, for once. So I don't know what you've been up to lately, but you managed to put yourself back in the same position you were in BEFORE, the same position you seem to loathe US for. So…. What's up with THAT?"

Alycia: I killed Ron Davis.

"You don't say. I'm so shocked."

She replied flatly. She HAD wanted to make sure Alycia was okay… she HAD wanted to warn Alycia that she would carry this man's death with her for the rest of her life… but she had forgotten the way Alycia always made her feel when she came around… like Haleigh had not changed at all and was contemptible for what she used to be and for continuing to exist at all, like Haleigh was ridiculous for having feelings… like she was hopelessly sentimental and like she wasted that sentiment on a cold, sharp, unfeeling woman. Alycia made Haleigh feel like she would NEVER be forgiven for her past transgressions, not even in death, and that trying to atone was futile. It was depressing. It robbed her of her willingness to reach out to Alycia, or to attempt to help her at ALL. Haleigh let Delilah take over with Alycia. She didn't speak again until Delilah asked her a question:

Delilah: First thing we need to do is make sure that hit man has got the message that Ron Davis is dead. Haleigh, did you download the content of Davis’ cell phone? We need to find the person he was talking to.

"The last outgoing call was made to a disposable cell phone. It's untrackable. If this guy heard Davis die over the phone and saw the news this morning, he knows he's not getting anymore money. I doubt he'll pursue Alycia when there's nothing more in it for him."

Alycia: Someone is behind this...all of it. the disasters overseas...the sudden revival and spread of the T virus.

Delilah: We might have some information on that. We spent a lovely night at the Hellfire Club.

Delilah looked to Haleigh, clearly indicating she wanted Haleigh to take her turn at show and tell. Haleigh obliged, but wasn't exactly enthusiastic. The general tone of sarcasm carried, but she seemed markedly disinterested in actually being witty.

"Right. Well we were having a wonderful little impromptu get-together with the Sisterhood, when an unidentified woman crashed the party via satellite. She claimed responsibility for the attacks, said she wanted Sharon and me 'back', and that she wanted you out of the way. She seemed to know Malice and Diana personally, but they pretended NOT to know her. She was gone as quickly as she came. The sisterhood STILL have not come up with any answers as to who she is or why she wants to destroy them. Is there anyone that you can think of from Mystech that is unaccounted for? She called Diana and Helena her 'aunties', that leads me to believe she might be the OFFSPRING of someone in the inner circle. Any information you can give is in those regards would be greatly appreciated. It's clear the sisterhood is doling out their information on a 'need to know' basis, and they currently seem to think we 'need' to know nothing."

Everyone went to their separate corners of the room. It was offical: the six was divided. Ava stood silently with her arms folded across her chest. With her back propped against the wall, she rested her head back and closed her eyes in an attempt to relax her growing tension. But as timing would have it, Alycia arrived promptly, dressed like a Russian Spy. Rolling her eyes, Ava lifted her head to show that she was alert to the fact that Alycia had arrived. However she didn't move or make an effort to greet her.

Their little pow wow started off swimmingly with Alycia snapping at Delilah for the location choice. Was there an echo? Ava swore she heard all this before. :p Regardless, Delilah held her own and backed her decision for choosing the warehouse as their location. She could understand why Alycia and Sharon were both on edge about being back in Bishop's warehouse, but it was obvious to Ava that they were more invested in throwing Delilah's relationship with Bishop in her face than being "distraught" about their currently location.

Delilah tried to ease the growing tension by telling Alycia that the group had her best interest at heart. However Alycia wasn't oblivious to Ava's discord with her.

Alycia: YOU might "care" about me, Delilah, because you've always been a decent person. But don't expect me to believe that THEM...especially HER :: gesturing at Ava:: Do.

Her face was cold and even as she stared Alycia dead in the eye during her accusation. Ava didn't deny it. Shifting her gaze away from Alycia and onto Delilah as she offered Alycia a seat, finally, they got down to buisness.

Alycia: I kill Ron Davis.

Ava shook her head with a satisfied smile on her face. So much for everyone's assumption that she was "framed". Ava had NO problem admitting to the blood that coated her hands--and there WAS plenty--but she found it so nauseatingly ridiculous how everyone automatically assumed Alycia was this paragon on virtue that could only succumb to murdering someone if it was for self defense. And THAT little detail was exactly what Alycia began to explain to everyone. That Ron Davis had threatened her so she took him out before he could take her out. That may have been partly true, but the fact that Alycia made it so personal by writing the words "PIG" across the wall only prooved further to Ava that she may have wanted to protect herself, but she also wanted to kill Ron Davis just to kill him.

Alycia: Someone is behind this...all of it. the disasters overseas...the sudden revival and spread of the T virus.

Delilah: We might have some information on that. We spent a lovely night at the Hellfire Club.

Haleigh began to explain about the mysterious green eyed woman who most obviously knew Diana and Helena, and how she was behind the attacks all over the world.

Haleigh: She called Diana and Helena her 'aunties', that leads me to believe she might be the OFFSPRING of someone in the inner circle.

"We should look into the deceased members of the inner circle as well. This woman reeks revenge motive."

bittersweet reunion

Cameron watched as Alycia Barnett entered the building, sporting a very covert outfit, as if she was some spy or glamorous movie star engaging in covert activity. None the less, she still had the staggeringly strong aura she always had from the moment he met her, and though she was seemingly very different than she used to be, this constant source of "strength" and wit was comforting to him. He sensed that she was actively trying to block her thoughts once again and although Cameron was fairly certain he could bypass them if he wanted, he knew Alycia would sense this as an act of war, and that was something nobody could risk at this point.

After a small bit of banter betwen Delilah and herself, Alycia sat down and very bluntly confirmed that she had killed Ron Davis. She seemed well informed and intelligent about the situation. She was right, Ron Davis' death was a major hit to WilPharma, but none of this sat well with Cameron. Both Sharon and Alycia used the legal forums in order to fight, believing in justice in fairness, and they even used those same tenemants in their beliefs now that the Six got more than their fair share of chances at new life, but here Alycia was in front of him, so cold, so distant, a vigilante, seemingly throwing away her new chance at life by simply helping a new "Six".

Delilah was being careful in her words, trying not to aggrivate an already difficult situation, her experience as a cop showing through in the situation and for the most part, it seemed to work, though Haleigh did butt in with her less finessed attempt to help, and all signs seemed to point to the mystery woman.

Ava: We should look into the deceased members of the inner circle as well. This woman reeks revenge motive.

"I agree with Ava [suprised with himself for a moment]. This woman goes back far with both Helena and Diana. We have the resources to find out who this woman is without the help of the Hellfire Club. Research the Hellfire Club's history. There might be something..."

He sat down in a nearby chair.

"When that woman came on over the screens, something happened to Malice, there was something almost "telepathic" happening. Diana's defenses are high, but whoever this mystery woman was I could "sense" her on the Astral Plane, reaching out to Malice.. I might be able to.. track her?"

Cameron had spent a GREAT deal of time on the astral plane in the months following news that his sister was dead, and it was inevitably how he was captured by Barbas. He was hoping that maybe he could get a sense of who this woman by attempting to track her on the astral plane, get to her before the Sisterhood did.

"Furthermore, i'm personally not ready to count this Deborah Jennings out. She was a mole for Terrasave, an organization, despite the fact that Alycia is affiliated with them I do not trust at all. She may be hidden but she may VERY well know who this woman is and where we can find her. She's old Hellfire Club and seems a logical choice. We could attempt to talk to her."

Nicolas watched silently as Alycia entered the building. She was predictably upset by the venue, but that ship had sailed, and so they proceeded after some verbal territory marking.

He listened as she admitted to killing Ron Davis, but he was unsurprised. It WAS most likely that she did it; he posited another option in large part to move the earlier discussion along. He was not particularly disappointed; he was simply wondering if Alycia were as prepared for the response to this as she might think.

One lesson of their previous time as the Six is that as SOON as people found out who they were and the government came along, every CONCEIVABLE offense that could be attributed to them was, and they nearly paid for it all with their lives. So the idea that she could not be blamed for this was ultimately folly, in spite of her efficiency. Only time would tell.

Cameron spoke of the contact on the astral plane and of being able to track the entity. Nicolas spoke in response to this.

That may indeed be a possibility, Cameron. I got a good impression of her as well and could assist you in this regard. Even if we do not encounter her there , we can get an impression that may be attached to some real world evidence; get to her in that way.

Alycia, as someone who you should know cares about your well-being, I hope you decide to stay close. If you do not, at least have Sharon accompany you. I don't think any of us need to forsake the safety of numbers at this time. The choice of course is yours.

Cameron, I am ready whenever you are.

Surprise!

:: a PSI SCREAM shatters the relative tranquility of the astral plane. this phenomena is only manifested by the highest end telepaths or alien technology that can replicate some psychic effects. in an undirected pattern, its simply a SHOCKING and STARTLING event.::

:: Malice SUDDENLY appears before Cameron and Nicolas as her psi scream disrupts the "silence" around them. She did this to SCARE Cameron more than Nicolas. She takes a moment to adjust her white ensemble on her tight feminine form.::

Hmmm. Now that I have your attention....

:: she says, as if she had no idea why they were looking at her the way they were.::

If you're finished doing whatever it is you're doing...we have information about your....OUR mystery woman. Kindly return to the Hellfire Mansion at your earliest convenience.

Oh Cameron, you should relax a little. You're friends will protect you. I'm sure your days of being captured and being everyone's plaything will soon be a distant memory! Bye now!

:: blowing a kiss at him, Malice vanishes. She either wasnt aware, or didnt bother to acknowledge Alycia's presence or the emotional turmoil the six had been in.::

in the warehouse

:: She glared at Haleigh.::

Flash

you know...Haleigh there's got to be something ELSE that mouth of your's is good for, other than pissing people off to NO END!

:: in one fell swoop, she leaps up and with fluent motion and the crack of a kangaroo whip, she DECAPITATES Haleigh's head...which is still fully functional even in this state.::

Flash

:: still seated, she settled herself. the sooner she TALKED with these people, the sooner she would be on her way. ::

Cameron, Deborah is HIDDEN...in exchage for information, we gave her PROTECTION. She could be held as an accessory to Ron Davis' DEATH. is that what you want? Look....the man got what he deserved and I understand that YOU are looking for answers, but I will NOT compromise Deborah's safety. Not after I gave her my word.

:: when asked if there was anyone else from the Mystech "family" that might be unaccounted for that she knew of....::

No, there isn't anyone else....

::but then as she sat there and allowed herself to think a little further, she thought about something.::

<< this room was a dead end and so out the went...and this time they had to go up the main staircase in the center of the foyer....they could go to the right or the left once they reached the first landing and ascend another small flight of steps to reache the second floor over looking the foyer and of course several possible choices for hall ways..>>

That photo...

There was a photo that we saw when we visited Arklay Mansion after Alison warned us about it in her vision. In the museum there was a photograph that had Malice, Lord Spence, James Marcus...and a little girl.

:: it wasnt much but it was a START..and a GOOD ONE. Even Haleigh hadnt thought of it before! at that moment, while Cameron and Nicolas had been searching the Astral Plane, Malice apparently decided to try STARTLING them as evidenced by Cameron's physical jolt.::

Listen, I'd love to stay and chat...but I have a flight waiting for me. The longer I delay, the more likely I am to be discovered LEAVING. I havent asked anything of you since my return, but I think the LEAST you could do is to pretend that you never saw me here in this place, or this city. I'm not coming back here. I have no reason to...I just wanted to STOP Ron Davis before he could go any further and NOW? I'm on to the next part of my mission.

:: When Delilah asked her WHERE she was going, if for no other reason than concern for her safety, Alycia frowned in resistance but then decided it wouldnt be of any harm at this point.::

I found these records from Ron Davis' computer. He's been taking concealed flights in and out of the country on a private jet to an island that is undisclosed to the general populace of EARTH, though I'm sure Malice will know about it.

:: she pulls out a small hand held device.::

It's called..."Sheena Island". It's located on the Indian Ocean but is not shown on any traditional map. NOW that I have the Senator's personal information, including the coordinates of this island, I have a strong feeling this is where I need to go.

:: she abruptly stands up.::

and now if you'll excuse me, I have to go.

Sharon: Nicolas is right! At least let me escort you to where ever your plane is...and....

:: Sharon hesitated but then said it anyway.::

Sharon: If you need help, give Cameron or Nicolas a telepathic shout!

:: Alycia was already making tracks for the door, when she turned back at Sharon's words. She gave silent affirmation and with that, Sharon follows her out, promising to contact Cameron or Nicolas if anything goes wrong and that once Alycia was on her way, Sharon would rejoin the team.::

and so

<< it may not have been what they wanted, but Alycia DID give them something to go back with if the Sisterhood tried to STALL again on who their green eyed mystery woman was. It seemed that Delilah did a better job of appealing to at least SOME of Alycia's sense of cooperation than they would have expected. She told them where she was going and that it was a place that Ron Davis had traveled too frequently, but only in his private jet. It was an island that was undisclosed to the global populace, but it wasnt QUITE like Aerie or Themyscria. it was a HOLD OVER from Mystech that somehow was not quite pulled into the malestrom of Mystech's state side or london operations and subsequent fall. There was a secret there, and Alycia felt that it had more than a little to do with WilPharma and she was going.>>

<< Sharon escorted Alycia to provide safe passage for her to her aircraft and it worked out better for them ALL that she did because if Alycia escaped sight unseen, then Ron Davis' murder could never be pinned in anyway back to the Six. The only OTHER people who knew what was going on besides the Six & Alycia were the Sisterhood and they had just as much to loose as Alycia and The Six did by blowing the lid off how deeply they were connected to all this.>>

<< at the same time that Alycia offered what little she was willing to give, Malice appeared before Cameron and Nicolas, enjoying her unsettling effect on Cameorn who all at once hated her, and yet secretly admired her for what she could and would have NO qualms about doing with her psi powers both in battle and in personal time. She asked the Six to return to the Hellfire Mansion. perhaps NOW they were ready to cooperate fully?>>

<< It seemed the Six were finally starting to gain ground, but would they pull THEMSELVES together soon enough to deal with what was to come?>>

<< the team, having confirmed Alycia's whereabouts, and what she'd done were now returning to the Hellfire Mansion for the NEXT round of pleasantries with the Sisterhood.>>

It worried her that Alycia wouldn’t at least let them escort her to the airport. Who knew what was out there lurking… There was still so much they didn’t know. She wanted to suggest they send Sharon with Alycia as bodyguard to this island. Alycia may be more than a human, but she wasn’t indestructible (even if she thought she was) and that island sounded dangerous. But Sharon would probably spazz – though she’d spazz if Delilah suggested she didn’t go too – so she kept her mouth shut.

She saw Nicolas and Cameron have an unusual reaction, and they were informed that the Sisterhood at last was ready to talk.

“I think we should go kill a few hours before we show up…fuck them…”

Delilah was only kidding, but the temptation to make the old bitches wait was almost too much to resist. But that would require spending time as a group and right now that wasn’t very much fun either. The Sisterhood were almost a WELCOME change of pace.

“So…what’ll it be? Taxi or wormhole?”

Alycia: Cameron, Deborah is HIDDEN...in exchage for information, we gave her PROTECTION. She could be held as an accessory to Ron Davis' DEATH. is that what you want? Look....the man got what he deserved and I understand that YOU are looking for answers, but I will NOT compromise Deborah's safety. Not after I gave her my word.

Cameron nodded, understandingly. Alycia was doing the best she could to protect her own, and he respected that. Deborah wasn't an option.

Everyone began their back and forthe as Cameron and Nicolas met on the astral plane, pooling their resources, beginning to try and track the imprint the mystery woman met on the astral plane, all while fully "present" in the group's current conversation with Alycia. Multitasking.

Suddenly, the calm and quiet atmosphere of the Astral Plane was violently disrupted by a PSI Scream as Cameron was JOLTED by fear.

BARBAS!!

He began to panick for a moment, not wanting to be yet again the "damsel in distress" as he tried to return to his body, but found that he was too scared to move. Then Malice appeared.

Diana: Hmm. Now that I have your attention... If you're finished doing whatever it is you're doing, we have information about your...OUR mystery woman. Kindly return to the Hellfire Club at your earliest convenience.

That Bitch.

Diana: Oh Cameron, you should relax a little. You're friends will protect you. I'm sure your days of being captured and being everyone's plaything will soon be a distant memory! Bye Now!

That fucking Bitch! A little embarassed to show his "weaker" side in front of Nicolas, Cameron immediately became "present" to the Six as Alycia gave them intel on where she was headed. A place called Sheena Island.

It was decided that Sharon would follow Alycia out and return when she was safe and unharmed, once Sharon returned, Cameron spoke.

"Nicolas and I were on the Astral Plane attempting to track the mystery woman...Malice appeared. She has information on our girl..."

Delilah: I think we should go kill a few hours before we show up...fuck them!

Cameron laughed out loud.

"Amen to that. Anyone up for something more entertaining? Chinese Water Torture perhaps?"

Delilah: So what'll it be? Taxi or wormhole?

"Burro would be desirable, but I think wormhole will suffice..."

And so the group vanished from Bishop's warehouse and soon found themselves back at the Hellfire Club, begrudgingly to Cameron. But the faster they found this enigma of a woman, the faster they could all wrap this up and Diana would be out of his hair, hopefully for good.

"We're HERE! Did you miss us?"

Alycia glared openly at Haleigh for a few moments, and Haleigh just gazed back at her expectantly, as if to reply 'well? You have something you want to say?'. Alycia didn't say anything though, she just snapped her glare over to Cameron and shot down his suggestion about speaking to Deborah. After being prompted about anyone else from Mystech's past, Alycia brought up something Haleigh hadn't thought of before:

Alycia: That photo… There was a photo that we saw when we visited Arklay Mansion after Alison warned us about it in her vision. In the museum there was a photograph that had Malice, Lord Spence, James Marcus...and a little girl.

Haleigh stared off distantly, remembering the moment from her own perspective, nodding her head gently to acknowledge. She separated the memory into its own file and saved it for playback, as Alycia took the opportunity to ditch them all again. Haleigh pretends she isn't paying very close attention, and doesn't comment on Alycia's departure or Sharon accompanying her out. Cameron and Nicolas return from the Astral Plane. Haleigh seems to 'snap back' to the present.

"Anything?"

Cameron: Malice appeared. She has information on our little girl.

"Good, let's go."

After a bit of lighthearted joking around, they wormhole it back to hellfire.

Cameron: We're HERE! Did you miss us?

[at her comrades] "I dunno gang, from the looks on their faces, I don't think they were hoping we'd come back quite so soon. Or, you know, EVER. [smirking. Then, to the sisterhood:] But turn those frowns upside down girls! I know you've been having such a hard time trying to shake the cobwebs of senility lately, so I've got something to show you…. Hopefully it'll jog your memories."

They wanted to keep her out of their computers, so Haleigh didn't bother upsetting their little egos by hacking the line and hijacking one of their TV screens. Instead she backed up a few feet and stared at a bare wall, indicating that they should watch the wall for the coming images. She gently pressed two fingers to her left temple. She 'projected' the memory she'd separated earlier directly through her eyes and out onto the wall, as if they were at the movie theaters. The camera view is first person, Haleigh's direct visual field as it was recorded the day they went to Arklay. Sound playback occurred as if in stereo surround.

The girls find themselves in a museum of sorts.... pictures and exhibits line the walls like some kind of shrine to the Spencer legacy.... Haleigh tinkers around carelessly with the ornate weaponry, pokes fun at the Spencer family photos, and all around shows only mild interest... until she catches sight of a photo whose subject has her suddenly seeing red. She PUNCHES through the glass and extracts the photo....

"MALICE....."

She growls.... the woman in the picture is youthful but undoubtably JUST as malign.... and Haleigh holds a special kind of loathing for her... for Malice is directly responsible for so MUCH of the pain in Haleigh's past.... in fact.... Malice probably did MORE HARM to Haleigh than any other SINGLE person. She'd taken Haleigh's father, her childhood sweetheart Patrick, AND Cameron.... and that was just what Haleigh was AWARE of. Malice was GONE but Haleigh would FOREVER be dealing with the repercussions of what the woman had done.

"If I find one SHRED of evidence that Malice BELONGED here..... I'll burn this place to the goddamn ground. I erase ANY PROOF that this ever existed.... and then..... and then.... [balling her fist, crushing the picture] so help me.... if I ever discover who her FAMILY is.... I'll EXTERMINATE her bloodline."

She relives the experience fully, including the emotions she felt, mainly anger…. And she 'rethought' the things she was thinking at the time. But it's little more than that. As soon as she reaches the end of the memory bit, the feelings pass and she returns to her current 'self'.

[with a smirk] "Well we DID destroy Arklay….. But I'm still investigating the possibility that you spawned any unfortunate little demon children. Anyway, let's back that up a bit and get a close up of the important part, shall we?"

She rewinds it silently and then plays through a few 'frames', until she reaches the spot where she first 'looks' at the photo display box. There are several pictures in it, including one she glances at before breaking the glass in her memory. She 'freezeframes' it there. The photo includes Diana, Lord Spencer, James Marcus, and a little girl. Haleigh's memory is high enough resolution that they can see the girl has green eyes.

Fortunately for YOU, with every bullet so far.

[Dominique replied with contempt at the young stripling as he and the Red Queen turned to see the upstarts returning. Sharon was not among them and they seemed a bit more "together" in their purpose now than hours or even a day before. How she DESPISED THEM! She found them to be irresponsible and generally sloppy but for some reason, Nicolas seemed to care enough to be with them. THAT was something she was not finished questioning either.]

[ her eyes followed Haleigh, who acted as though she'd be more "at home" in a hoe down at a barn then a place as regal as this mansion.]

The only thing we have a "hard time" with is tolerating your putrid presence, you arrogant creature.

you OVERESTIMATE your worth. Despite your apparent "victory", we yet face this virus AGAIN so you're apparent "Destruction of Arklay" was not as thorough as you would like to believe.

Anyway, let's back that up a bit and get a close up of the important part, shall we?"

[the Arklay Mansion, indeed a key piece of mystech and hellfire history PREDATED Dominique's involvement with the Hellfire Club. the ideas and directions that mystech took were monstrous and the more she learned about them, the more she realized she could NEVER have worked with Malice and Enchantra at THAT time. She gave Malice credit for knowing when to abandon THAT ship, even though that too was before her time of association with the White Queen. Still, Mystech was something of a morbid curiosity to Dominique and this developing caper would proove to be more than a "closer look" into a key piece of the Sisterhood's & The Six's past.]

[ Haleigh implies that Malice or even Enchantra could have had a child but the Sisterhood have already conversed prior to the Six's return and so, Dominique waits for Malice to respond to the hybrid's not so subtle implications.]

Hellfire Mansion

:: Malice sat with a relaxed presentation, each of the Queens had been gathering information from various sources across the globe. They already had talked about what was going to be discussed with the Six, and so when the team arrived, the Sisterhood were prepared to continue discrediting and minimizing their relevance as a team and their worth as human beings :D ::

:: Cameron opened his mouth first. Only he didnt fill the area with his screams of pain as he had so often in the not so distant past, courtesy of MALICE herself. She slowly looked up at him, like a shark sizing up its prey. She KNEW she had caught him off guard on the Astral Plane and IN FRONT of Nicolas, another one whom she had squared off against. As far as she was concerned, their return was like a group of mice parading in front of cats ready to pounce.::

:: Dominique displayed her hostility toward Cameron once more and dismissed Haleigh's bravado.::

You'll have to forgive them, Isis. They're not used to being well informed. Anything that requires use of more than a fraction of their cerebrum leaves them feeling a bit daffy.

:: Haleigh attempts to taunt them, and Malice shows little interest or sign of being impressed.::

More like it's easier to have YOU do the leg work, which is exactlly what you did. I know all about Alycia and what's going on. Oh and before you crow too much about Arklay? Again, why bother getting MY hands dirty when it's easier to let you do gooders put yourselves out there....and take the FALL? Arklay was never MINE to begin with, nor was it my concern after the Hellfire Club had what it came for.

Try dusting out the cobwebs in your OWN memory, cybertronic tart and in the meantime, make yourself usefull will you?

:: The White Queen said with a dismissive laugh as she regarded Haleigh and Cameron lightly. and finally, Haleigh broadcasts her projections. The Arklay mansion, over a decade after She and Enchantra had murdered nearly everyone in the Mansion as the Hellfire Club betrayed James Marcus. Malice looked upon the very THOROUGH projection, with her own clear and in depth memories filling in any blanks left by the rush of those images. Many nighs were spent there, when that mansion was not only the nest of Mystech's infancy, but a place that only the reach and morally bankrupt came to "play" in. Many well laid plans and schemes were made there. Many political sweetheart deals and more had been agreed to in the various rooms and halls of that dark mansion and Malice , even in her younger years, was like a black widow spider at the center of her web in that place.::

:: the PICTURES, the IMAGES...Malice BRIEFLY allowed herself to remember days when she was simply DIANA. She kept her thoughts and her emotions at this moment TIGHTLY concealed from any other telepath in the room, as she saw that image of her younger self...next to that REPULSIVE Lord Spencer and the driven, borderline INSANE James Marcus. ::

what i had to put up with....

:: there was a HINT of bitterness...and almost REGRET as if she suddenly wondered if any of the "sacrifice" she made to get in good with Mystech from the ground up had been WORTH IT. it was a shocking thought process for HER and anyone who would have guessed she was thinking it, but no one would ever know that. it was one of MANY secrets she'd take to her grave.::

:: Malice's secret train of thought was momentarily sidelined...::

Black Widow said:

Just like you destroyed Arklay, one of "your own" destroyed your lives...and WE help put them back together now didnt we? Or maybe you enjoyed being exiled on Aerie for all your efforts to "protect the world from Mystech" simply because of who you are.

I may have helped creat the virus, but YOUR "destiny" was to stop it. Isn't it kind of PATHETIC that after all you LOST , again because of one of your OWN, that you ultimately FAILED? The virus is HERE...and THRIVING, despite your BEST efforts. I guess you're not as effective as your Harbinger or your precious Ororo hoped you would be. And aside from OUR [ the sisterhood's'] little incident last night, it's NOT our problem. So dont mistake our not ANNIHILATING YOU here and now to be anything more than us honoring the provisions of the truce, which thus far continues to be beneficial to both of us.

:: she sounded much more serious and EVIL, much like in her earlier encounters with Haleigh and the Six. there was something different going on now and it was more than her enjoying being bitchy to her "frenemies". she AGAIN had scathing truths to hurl at them, but there was something ELSE...as the picture of that little girl remained on the projector. even NOW, from a PICTURE, her piercing apple green eyes seemed to STARE directly AT Malice as if the picture was ALIVE. If it BOTHERED Malice, she didnt show it. Rather she seemed to return to a cold, calculating "down to business" mode, which could mean DEATH for the person she focused on.::

:: the fact WAS that The Sisterhood could simply lock up and NOT help with the problem of the green eyed mystery woman. THEY would be FINE to sit back and let her kill whomever and how ever many she wanted. She KNEW the Six would be BOUND to get involved and that was where they were at a disadvantage. They knew it just as much as she did and so, she held the cards once again. HOWEVER, the woman WOULD EVENTUALLY confront the Sisterhood.::

This woman...if left up to YOU...will probably SURVIVE and eventually confront us directly and so, in the interest of being proactive for OUR interests, we have decided to address this "mystery" with you. We may even decide to go after her ourselves. Because as the saying goes..."if you want the job done RIGHT, you have to do it yourself!"

:: and there again, was the Sisterhood's position on the Six's competence, or LACK thereof.::

Nice post bitch!
a moment

<< all at once, the "safety" of being in the Hellfire Mansion seemed to EVAPORATE as the White, Red & Black Queens stood together on one side of the circular wrap in the war room, with the image of the green eyed little in the center and and The Six standing together on the other side. It might have been easy to forget that Malice has killed DOZENS of people, and was responsible for decimating more than one family in the Six. EACH of these women had at some point rained terror down on them as individuals and TOGETHER? these three women were WITHOUT moral restraint, and they didnt play by the same rules as the Six. but suddenly they all seemed even LESS hospitable than before (as if that was possible) and now ONLY their respect for the truce itself was keeping them from totally attacking the Six.>>

<< Still, they knew the fastest way to get the Six OUT of their face was to just fill in the blanks with their information. The White Queen would have the most to offer and so, after a few moments of hostile silence, she began to speak again.>>
