<< Night gives way to day. Sleep is only found by a few of the Six, while the Sisterhood enjoy a sound rest, knowing that so far THEY have the upper hand. With two of the Six being pulled from their team and the rest on shakey ground...this crisis is doing damage on multiple levels.>>

<< still, it wouldnt be long before things leveled the playing field ACROSS the board for both teams in their "truce".>>

<< by morning, the WILDpack, and other individuals controlled by Malice, using left over Mystech technology had completely disposed of any physical evidence of an issue at the Mansion. all bodies were gone, all areas were "Cleaned" by the Bio Hazard containment unit. The mansion was being repaired rather quickly, proof of the Inner Circle's deep pocketed financual resources and connections.>>

<< The Sisterhood were all up and about, refreshed and wearing new outfits, each woman wearing her trademark color. they had been up top, but then returned down to the catacombs. Their motherbrain in the war room was abuzz with information feeds in addition to the mainstream media feeds...and they were ALL broadcasting the SHOCKING story...>>

SENATOR RON DAVIS FOUND DEAD...MURDERED!

<< The Sisterhood were not terribly moved by the "tragedy". But it was almost certain that members of the Six would have something to say about it. And wouldnt they ALL be surprised (to varying degrees) to know who was behind it?!>>

<< the Six would soon join the Sisterhood in their War Room and find that they wouldnt have to wait LONG for something to turn their attention to.>>

Delilah slept with one eye open, and woke the next morning not terribly refreshed. She flipped on her room's television as she washed and dressed. The story was all over it: Senator Davis was dead.

She hated herself that her mind immediately went to Alycia. But unfortunately it wouldn't have been surprising if Alycia had eliminated such a putrid excuse for a human being as Ron Davis. Delilah just hoped they would get word from Alycia soon, as she had promised.

She made her way back to the War Room. Delilah suspected at every turn someone would jump out at her for being in the catacombs alone, but it wasn't like she was just going to sit in her room and wait for someone to fetch her. She wanted to talk to the other - and she was curious if the Sisterhood would give up any further information about the mysterious green-eyed woman.

The Morning After

Cameron actually slept very well, and was quite ready to get up and face the day. He knew the reason why. Sharon. Last night he shared a bed with Sharon Kelly, something he was sure wouldn't go over too well with The Six, though most things didn't. Actually, he was pretty sure that his sexual escapades would be the last thing on people's minds, though it hurt his ego a bit to admit it ;)

"Do do do..."

He hummed to himself as he rose up from his bed and showered, mentally scanning the whereabouts of the others on the team, making sure they were all on the same floor and alive and okay. With the Sisterhood, you could never be too sure. He was relieved to find they were all okay.
He put on a change of clothes as he wandered out of his room, kind of really sick of the underground feeling of these catacombs. It made him feel like a prisoner, something he had been far too many times than he liked to admit. Eventually he made his way to "The War Room" curious to see if any one of the Golden Girls would give him any information. To his surprise, Delilah was there already. He let out a yawn.

"Morning, Trelaven."

Cameron's eyes were diverted to the many televisions screens all broadcasting the news that Senator Ron Davis had been murdered. There was a startling amount of coverage on this event and that made Cameron nervous. His mind immediately went to Alycia. She had motive, the capability and was definitely a wild card. It's not like anyone would expect HER to committ murder. But it could also have been a move by this wild green eyed mystery woman. Cameron decided that he would wait to hear from the Sisterhood until he could properly judge the situation.

"Are we the only ones up?"

He stopped for a moment.

"You didn't sleep very well last night. Can I get you a cup of coffee?"

Cameron said with a knowing tone as he stood up and went over to the carafe in the corner, which Cameron discerned was coffee, and promptly served himself a cup.

"It's probably poisoned, you feel like taking a risk this early in the morning?"

For the most part Ava stayed in her suite at the Hellfire Club all night. She had to admit, it was beautifully decorated and spot on regarding her taste and styles. Eventhough she was fully capable of taking care of herself, especially when it came to the Sisterhood, the goddess still didn't feel comfortable sleeping in the lions den. Call it paranoid, or blame it on her many years at the Masters of Evil, but Ava wasn't about to leave herself vulnerable to catch a few Z's.

As daylight finally streamed into her room, Ava was already showered and cleaned up. Feeling abnormally refreshed, she headed down to the war room to see if she could figure out who this green eyed woman was or what her next move was. To her surprise Cameron and Delilah had already beaten her to it. Delilah looked like she pulled an all nighter as well; as for Cameron, it was hard not to hear what he and Sharon were doing all night, therefore Ava wasn't surprised he was tired too. ;)

"Morning."

Sliding herself on top of the main table, Ava crossed her legs and looked at the floating monitors that still displayed a lot of the information they all saw the night before.

"Maybe I could figure out a way to bring up current information before the sisterhood arrive....the no hacking rule applies to Haleigh, they didn't say anything about her computer savvy sister."

With a smirk, it was definitely walking a fine line when it came to their truce, but frankly the sisterhood knew more than what they were letting on, so why not play with some fire? :D

Walking over to the black queen's chair, Ava took a seat and tapped on a few of the inset buttons on the table in front of her. Immediately when she tried to bring up any current news feeds or information she ran into security clearance codes. Haleigh could have easily hacked into this in 10 seconds flat, but Ava wasn't as skilled as her sister. She knew the basics due to her own involvement with MysTech technology because of her father, so it gave her a bit of an upper hand. Especially since the sisterhood still relied on some of the old MysTech computer systems. ;) After a few minutes of tinkering and fiddling with codes and algorithms, finally, Ava managed to bypass the security clearance bringing up current news feeds onto all monitors. It was then that the explosive story of Ron Davis' murder was brought to hers, Delilah's, and Cameron's attention.

Looking at them both, she knew they were thinking the same thing. Alycia...

"Shit..."

interruption

[ a shadow casts over Ava JUST as she enjoys the fruits of her ill thought endeavor.]

[ Isis appears, standing tall and poised and looking VERY grimly upon Ava, Delilah and Cameron. She had already fetched Nicolas and lead him back to the War Room and so he witnessed her warning to the other three.]

Step BACK!

[ She commands with more than a little force in her tone. as Ava moves aside, Isis stands in front of her console of Mother Brain and looks at the three.]

I do not recall taking liberties with our Mother Brain being apart of the truce. You are GUESTS in our domain. I suggest you REMEMBER that and act accordingly, unless YOU want to be responsible for dissolving the truce...which at this time would be MOST disadvantageous for YOU.

[ she had a VERY dim view of the members of the Six. Not because they were her enemies by definition but because they seemed very careless, self absorbed and generally ungratefull for all that the Sisterhood had done to HELP them return to mainstream society following the Set caper. she also felt that people like Haleigh, Delilah and Ava were the main reason why Nicolas was not doing as well as he SHOULD be doing at this point with his own mental discipline and self esteem issues. She'd not encountered Cameron before and only knew him as "Harbinger's baby brother" and so her opinion of him had yet to be DOWN GRADED just yet. ;) ]

[ after making it clear they were not to come near her's or any of the other two queen's stations...she finally turned her attention to some of the floating monitors and other information feeds coming in, not just about Ron Davis but other things completely unrelated, financial, government etc.]

[ Dominique decided she would not address these upstarts any further until Diana and Helena joined her. THEY seemed to have more "FUN" talking to these children and Dominique would rather not waste her time entertaining them if she could find something BETTER to do.]

[ still, she quietly the central view screen as well as several smaller floating monitors with other not so "public" details about the senator's death. given his controversial ties with Wil Pharma AND the fact that he occupied SHARON KELLY'S former senate seat, this was bound to be another piece to the puzzle mystery of the Green eyed woman that appeared before them last night.]

Hellfire Club - War Room

She was just...warming it up for you, Isis. It probably takes Diana an EXTRA long time to put on her "morning face" so that she's presentable to her GUESTS.

[ Sharon said as she sat casually in a chair at the nearby conference wrap. Sharon and Dominique always regarded each other with respect in past interactions which were usually due to Nicolas. But with Sharon acting more and more like she was "at home" with the Hellfire Club and Isis not ABOUT to dissuade her from joining their ranks, there was something different about this morning's interactions.]

Well it looks like my successor won't be getting his pension.

[ referring to Ron Davis.]

That's what happens when you build your ladder to the top on the backs of innocents.

[ basically stating that she didnt care that he was dead.]

Hopefully Diana and Helena get here soon, I'm sure they'll be a little more forthcoming about our green eyed beauty from last night.

[ she looked at Delilah and Cameron who OBVIOUSLY seemed to think ALYCIA was behind Ron Davis' death. But even if she was? SO WHAT? she was just one of MANY who wanted to see him dead and so far, even with the Sisterhood's up to the minute information feeds, no evidence linking this "assassination" to Terra Save was reported.]

Isis: Step BACK!

Ava looked over as Dominique bellowed for her to get away from the computer console. She was probably bitter that Ava would make a better black queen than she...but whatever. ;) Standing from Isis' chair, Ava stepped aside as the woman began to chide her from breaking into their system.

Isis: I do not recall taking liberties with our Mother Brain being apart of the truce.

[cooly] "I didn't realize bringing up local news feeds would be a breach in our truce."

Isis: You are GUESTS in our domain. I suggest you REMEMBER that and act accordingly, unless YOU want to be responsible for dissolving the truce...which at this time would be MOST disadvantageous for YOU.

"A disadvantage to us? Remind me again who's club was a target for a bio terrorist attack last night, Dominique?"

Like Dominique found the six useless, Ava found Dominique to be a lackluster copy of the REAL Isis, whom she was dear friends with. So she would not bend over and take it from a woman who had no prior dealings with MysTech or the T-virus and had no idea what she was talking about.

"As I said before, I was only searching for any up to date information the media may have regarding the attacks. I don't see how that's breaking our truce....unless of course it is YOU who has something to hide from US?"

Everyone in the six knew that Helena and Diana knew far more than what they were letting on. Whether they let their newest queen in on their little secret was yet to be determined, however Ava didn't mince words either way. Sharon soon walked into the room and supported Ava, to which the goddess gave the hybrid a small smirk thanking her.

"Anyway."

Sharon: Well it looks like my successor won't be getting his pension.

"True...but if Alycia was responsible for his death it will cause even more problems for her AND us. Despite the fact the guy was a bastard, he was still a notable figurehead in the government. We need to figure out who was behind his death before the media speculates and builds a mountain out of a mole hill."

Delilah nodded to Cameron as he said good morning, then shook her head at his offer of coffee.

“Thanks, but I don’t drink coffee, even the non-poisoned kind.”

Ava joined them, and pulled up the news broadcast about Ron Davis. And then came Isis.

For a second she felt like a schoolchild caught with her hand in the cookie jar, and then she mentally gave herself a smack to the side of the head for it.

This. THIS was what infuriated her about Sharon as well. Acting like they deserved to be treated like royalty simply because they were older. What the hell does that have to do with anything? It certainly didn’t make them better people, and it certainly wasn’t the basis for handing out respect.

She didn’t bother responding to Isis because Ava said exactly what she was thinking: overreact much?

Silver Swan said:

Delilah snorted.

“Yeah, in what universe do you live in?”

She smiled.

“But while we’re on the subject, and before the other two arrive, Haleigh, Sharon – you two have any idea on who you might have in common? Who would want you both “back” as she said?”

Persephone said:

We need to figure out who was behind his death before the media speculates and builds a mountain out of a mole hill."

Delilah nodded. She HOPED Alycia hadn’t resorted to murder. If she HAD killed the Senator, she hoped it was in self-defense. But that didn’t mean she wouldn’t protect her friend if she had to.

“We’ll need to monitor the government channels for info on their ongoing investigation. If they DO make Alycia for it, we need to get to her first and extract her somewhere safe.”

Haleigh awoke with a groan. She was laying on her side on the bathroom floor. She lifted her head and looked around… it wasn't her bathroom. The walls in here were painted a vivid crimson. Hers had been an inoffensive ivory. How did she get here? She started to get to her feet, but found she had to take her time. Her body ached in places she couldn't remember injuring. She felt like she'd been in a fight with a BEAR ON PCP. She reached up to the counter, grasping the ledge to pull herself up, and found that a sharp pain shot down her arm. She instinctively withdrew her throbbing wrist and looked at it under x-ray. Fractured severely, but not enough for a true break. What the hell had happened to her? She used the other hand to get up. Her confusion was made worse by a terrible dizziness and more pain. She gripped the counter for support, her eyes gently closed, waiting for the pain to dull a bit. Nothing like a stabbing headache to distract you from a broken wrist.

The pain ebbed, and Haleigh opened her eyes. She almost didn't recognize herself in the mirror. She was covered in blood. It was splattered and smeared on her face, neck and arms and her clothes were soaked with it. Off all the injuries she'd sustained, none were cuts or abrasions. It wasn't HER blood. Even MORE disturbing…. She could taste it, sweet but tart, with a slightly copper undertone. She licked her lips, and noticed that her teeth were faintly stained red.

Her blonde hair was wildly disheveled. Her eyes were horribly bloodshot, the pupils glowing red, like they did in the dark when she used night-vision, like a Sentinel's. She had one black eye, the same one Sharon had punched in the pool fight. Strangely, it didn't hurt. In fact, ALL her pain was continuing to fade at an unnaturally high rate. Her black eye completely its natural healing process in a matter of seconds, to Haleigh's bewilderment. Her headache disappeared. Her wrist mended. She stood up straight. She was still wearing someone else's blood. Her eyes were still bloodshot and glowing.

The last thing she could remember was pouring herself a drink and talking to Malice. How much had she HAD to drink over the course of that conversation?? Or was it something Malice had done? It wouldn't be the first time. She looked around. She could see her own path leading into the bathroom; blood smeared on the walls, a fully formed bloody handprint grasping the bathroom doorjamb, and staggering footprints in blood. Haleigh drifted out of the bathroom, trying to determine who's suite she was in and where --who-- all the blood came from. She didn't have to look for very long. Past the hall, the next room was the bed room. This room wasn't painted red, but it may as well HAVE been, with all the blood running down the walls. It had been splattered and slung EVERYWHERE, it even dripped from the ceiling. A murder had happened here. No one could have survived so violent a scene as this.

Haleigh's gaze fell on the bed a few feet away, and the tangle of bloody sheets and body parts that lay there. She didn't move any closer. She could see from here that it was SHARON. She could see from here that Sharon's body armor had been ripped away, and that her chest cavity was gaping open. There was a void where Sharon's heart should have been.

Haleigh doubled over, the breath knocked out of her. Sharon had been maimed and slaughtered, and Haleigh had woken up in Sharon's bathroom, covered in SHARON'S blood.

Cameron: Haleigh, what did you DO?!?

He'd walked in from the kitchen, wearing his boxers. Haleigh couldn't catch her breath as she looked up at him. He looked horrified as he went to Sharon's side.

"I….. I…."

Malice: She tore out Sharon's heart and ate it. I TOLD YOU, Haleigh. Control, that's the illusion.

There was a laugh from the corner of the room, a cold, childish laugh. The woman with green eyes stood there, shrouded in darkness, gloating. Haleigh was rooted in place.

Woman: I don't suppose you'd mind if I took her back NOW?

Cameron: She's all YOURS. Do whatever you want with her. She's not good enough for us anymore.

Haleigh woke with a start, in her bed, in her suite. Her heart was pounding adrenaline through her body. There was no blood to be found, as the room was awash with shades of pristine whites. She breathed a sigh of relief…. It was only a dream. A terrible, terrible dream. She got out of bed and pulled on her clothes, resolving to take a walk and clear her mind of the nightmare. She'd walk past Sharon's room to check on her…. Just to be sure.

Sharon wasn't there. Haleigh checked the other rooms… NO ONE was where they should be. Haleigh went back to the War Room. If she had to hack into the Sisterhood's security system to find her friends, then DAMN the truce. When she got there, however…. She stopped in surprise. Everyone was there, including Sharon, alive and well.

"Hmm… sorry I'm late. Apparently I didn't get the memo."

Delilah: But while we're on the subject, and before the other two arrive, Haleigh, Sharon - you two have any idea on who you might have in common? Who would want you both 'back' as she said?

[clenching her jaw for a moment and swallowing the memory of the woman reclaiming her in her nightmare] "Other than the obvious intuitive leap that she's linked to Mystech, I have no idea. I've never seen her before. Most of the Mystech operatives that I came into contact with were men; Dr. Chandler and Imagiomg were behind my… infection. There's only Malice and Enchantrah. And Kelly King, but she's dead."

Sharon: Well it looks like my successor won't be getting his pension.

Haleigh looked up at the monitor for an explanation to Sharon's statement. Ron Davis had been killed.

[deadpan] "Oh, what a tragedy."

Ava: True...but if Alycia was responsible for his death it will cause even more problems for her AND us. Despite the fact the guy was a bastard, he was still a notable figurehead in the government. We need to figure out who was behind his death before the media speculates and builds a mountain out of a mole hill.

"It's POSSIBLE that she killed him… I mean, it's not like she hasn't killed a rival before. [Stavros] However… it's EQUALLY likely that the woman from last night did it and wants to set Alycia up. Didn't she mention that she needed Alycia AND Claudia out of the way?"

Delilah: We’ll need to monitor the government channels for info on their ongoing investigation. If they DO make Alycia for it, we need to get to her first and extract her somewhere safe.

[looking at Delilah with a slow nod] "Agreed. I wish she'd check in like she promised."

Cameron nodded.

"It's possible, but the woman from last night.. I don't know, it doesn't seem like her mode of operation. She was clearly insane. I think she meant she would MURDER them, not set one of them up for murder. But Clearly this event is connected to TerraSave..."

He took a sip of his coffee.

"Is there anyway we can tap into the TerraSave network, via this "Mother Brain" or perhaps Haleigh? There had to be some piece of intelligence we can work with."

He wasn't too happy with Sharon's comments either. He didn't like how she was acting. She may very well accept Hellfire Club full status, but he didn't like seeing so... a "part" of it all. It almost stung.

"But either way. Whether or not Alycia is connected to this, she needs to contact us soon per her conversation with Delilah or Haleigh, because if not, we're going to contact her, whether anyone likes that or not. You can't just come back into the mainstream, announce yourselve as a member of a shady at best organization, punch the very man that is now murdered and expect to be left alone. It doesn't work that way."

He tried to avoid the other's glances. He knew many of them were thinking the same thing, Cameron just felt like he needed to say it. He looked at Isis.

"Unless, The Sisterhood has information on this mystery woman that could lead us in another direction entirely?"

Hellfire War Room

“Yeah, in what universe do you live in?”

She smiled.

one where they realize they have just as much to lose as we do and the sooner they cooperate, the sooner we'll each be rid of the sight of the other.

[ She knew the sisterhood despised the six, and vice versa...but tolerating one another had its benefits in the aftermath of Set but Sharon knew it could only last for so long. this might very well be the last caper they cooperate together on.]

MorningStar said:
“But while we’re on the subject, and before the other two arrive, Haleigh, Sharon – you two have any idea on who you might have in common? Who would want you both “back” as she said?”

I've been an enemy of Mystech's since the 80's when they killed my husband and took my son. Their Master Mold killed me and then somehow Rick Riley brought me back. He was the first one to refer to me as "property". He said i would succeed where "they failed with Haleigh." But he's dead too. I have no idea who that woman is.

[as the discussed Alycia and the possibility of her having murdered the Senator, Sharon spoke up]

WilPharma is the successor of Mystech. It's obvious. Mystech often used "key figures" to advance their agenda and when the person was of no more use...they killed them. Why isnt anybody suspecting THEM instead of Terra Save or Alycia? Or this mystery woman?

[ She was visibly disapproving of comments being made by some...especially Cameron. Haleigh and Delilah were being FAIR and it seemed to proove that their earlier visit to Alycia was not at all to bring her harm or distress]

Wait a minute, Cameron! Who are YOU to cast such a dim cloud over Alycia? Where were YOU when she risked her life for the Six in Arklay Mansion or any OTHER number of times she risked her career and life for this team? How many times have YOU disappeared and reappeared, only to be given a chance time and again?

Everytime you've spoken on her since her return, you speak as though she's sleeper cell terrorist and I don't like it. instead of treating her like some kind of renegade, you SHOULD be concerned for her safety.

That woman we saw last night, she could be after Alycia was we speak!

War Room

[ Isis looked upon Pesephone with disdain. Persephone had the "advantage" of having been friends with the ACTUAL goddess, Isis. Indeed, Isis and Hecate were also very close and though they were dieties from different times and eras they had become associated with one another in modern "mythology". Dominique, now being Isis' avatar, served as Isis for the present and she KNEW Persephone had minimal respect for her but that was fine because Dominique had all of Isis' memories and knowledge...INCLUDING knowledge of Persephone's OWN self destructive actions which were now the stuff of lore and legends on Olympus, in literature and even among the Six. They could, perhaps, trade barbs between them on a variety of issues, calling into question one another's competence, character etc...but now was not the time. Isis was satisfied that she had rebuked Persephone and that the others knew not to cross her at this moment.]

[ as more of THEM continued to arrive and begin processing what was all over the news and the world...they seemed to suspect their trusted friend and ally, Alycia Barnett. Another person who was before Dominique's time with the Sisterhood or involvement with the Six.]

[ Isis begins to tap into their secured, secret channels that allow them access to government communications and information.]

There won't be any confirmation in the public media. internal officials are utterly BAFFLED at the lack of any "clues" left at the murder scene. there's utter chaos on Capitol Hill because they have NO idea who is behind this.

[ which means there's DEFINATELY more to this.]

[ Isis took the liberty of pulling up available information on Alycia. Most "public" information had been EXPUNGED following her's and the six's exile to Aerie...that was a courtesy from the Sisterhood. HOWEVER, the Sisterhood had their OWN files on EVERYONE, including Alycia. vital stats, various appearences and looks she had, and an array of other info came up on various screens. there was a GAP between the time she went to Aerie up until NOW. That was her time on Themyscria with the Amazons though the Sisterhood were generally aware that Alycia was now apparently an Amazon or at least one in some of her newly suped up physical attritbutes. She apparently was moving under the radar quite well since her return and from what she heard the Six discussing, coupled with Malice's remarks last night, the woman was not entirely beating a path to her former allies right now either.]

[ as Cameron spoke and Sharon rebuked him for casting such a cloud of doubt on Alycia, Isis spoke.]

Our files indicate that Alycia "accidently" killed Stavrous Cassadine during a confrontation at Illustra where he broke into her office, waiting for her and then apparently attacked her in an attempt to get revenge. this was after she played a pivotal role in convincing the greek government to allow extradition of Stavros and Ava to the United States and lead a RAID, backed by the Six and government agents to the Cassadine compound overseas to capture him and hold him accountable for crimes against humanity including his involvement with Mystech and his role in the construction of Master Mold, which ultimately killed Sharon Kelly. Based on this, and Malice's own descriptions of Alycia, it would not be entirely far fetched that she MAY have killed the Senator. HE is involved with WILPHARMA who is Mystech's would be SUCCESSOR, an emerging power and THREAT across multiple fronts now.

[ not that Isis was INTENTIONALLY trying to back Cameron. In fact she found him to be rather annoying and wanted to turn him into chair or something actually USEFULL :) but based on her own campaign of revenge against Nicolas when she murdered several people close to him, it just made logical sense to her that Alycia's return to mainstream was more than a coincidence. She most likely had a score to settle.]

[ once again the topic of the green eyed mystery woman came up and Cameron looks at HER as if SHE will be his personal wikipedia on the subject. The idea that HE could just CUE her to take action was not something she would tolerate.]

I suggest you use your OWN resources if you want to find out more about HER "at a glance". Otherwise, you can wait until Malice and Enchantra arrive.

[ she spoke with a dismissively, disdainfull tone.]

He listened as both Sharon and Isis spoke their peace on Alycia and he had to admit he was getting a little bothered that nobody seemed okay exploring this option further.

"Sharon, I AM concerned for her safety, but i'm also concerned for the safety of the COUNTRY. It doesn't matter how many times i've dissappeared and been given chances, because we aren't TALKING about ME. We are talking about the VERY likely fact that Alycia Barnett is quite possibly involved with something that is DANGEROUS. And the fact that she doesn't seem to want a thing to do with us or anyone connected to us, doesn't sit well with me. Not to mention she intentionally was trying to hide her thoughts from me when I saw her at LAX. Something is going on with her and from all accounts it doesn't seem good. It may not be this, but it's HIGHLY suspicious. I am merely stating what MOST are thinking."

Then Isis spoke, seeming to corroborate with Cameron's feeling though in a very unfriendly and detached manner. She seemed to hate him without even knowing him. He merely asked if she had found something.

"Oh... [laughs] I'm sorry for thinking you might independently know something and would want to share. Forgive me for giving you the benefit of the doubt that you were unlike your sadistic counterparts."

Malice: You'll have to forgive Cameron, Isis. He never was one for manners but he DOES respond well to discipline...especially RESTRAINTS!

All the hairs on Cameron's body rose to attention, as if he was a dog who had just seen something he instinctively knew he would have to attack. He calmed himself down for a moment.

"Good morning to YOU as well, Diana."

The more time he spent with Diana, the angrier he got yes, but the more comfortable he felt in dealing with her. She had taken SO much from him, but she had taken much from the others as well.

Malice said:
You're looking rather peaked, ::in Alison's voice:: "baby brother". Was fucking Sharon last night more than you bargained for? You were too busy fucking her to even be concerned about your other team mates...and what might be going on with them weren't you?
Or maybe you thought YOU were the answer to keeping Sharon from making her choice.

:: she pauses for a moment as if waiting for him to answer but then she cuts him off.::
I guess no matter how much of a beating you take, the arrogance and over inflated sense of self worth that was always apart of you never truly goes away does it?

"Your's doesn't, Malice. Why in the world should mine?"

He RETURNED her sadistic side smile and glare right back to her, wanting to show her that Cameron was not the same man he was before, and that her words, while they HURT, were no LONGER going to send him over the edge. Been there. Done that. Got the T-shirt. Everyone knew about Sharon and himself now, but he figured they probably had already discerned what was going on by the sounds coming from her bedroom last night, so he was okay with that.

Malice:Oh...do you have something to say, Light Bright? because if not...then we should really get on today's "trending topic" considernig that's all thats on any of your minds.

Cameron rolled his eyes.

"Yes, let's just get down to business."

Sharon was far more optimistic about the Sisterhood’s willingness to help than she was, but Delilah wasn’t going to get into it. This was not the place. Sharon for once in a long time seemed to be putting the team above personal feelings. And in truth she agreed with her chastisement of Cameron.

“Alycia may be an activist, but she’s not a terrorist. If she killed Ron Davis it’s because she had to.” She said it with conviction.

As Malice entered she saw Cameron tense up. The old bag was being her charming self. Delilah couldn’t say she was surprised that Cameron slept with Sharon, but any thoughts of Sharon suddenly getting her head in the game fluttered away. They couldn’t wait until they got home?

Delilah kept her eyes on Malice as she slowly moved next to Cameron and put a reassuring hand on his shoulder. She might not agree with him, and she might take issue with some of his actions lately, but he was still part of their team and Alison’s brother.

“Oh, I was just noticing a couple of new wrinkles on you since yesterday – you know, I hear they’re doing marvelous things with night creams these days. You might want to check into that.”

The corner of her mouth turned up into a smirk.

Sharon: WilPharma is the successor of Mystech. It's obvious. Mystech often used "key figures" to advance their agenda and when the person was of no more use...they killed them. Why isnt anybody suspecting THEM instead of Terra Save or Alycia? Or this mystery woman?

"It's another possibility, yes. But just because ANYONE ELSE could have done it, that doesn't mean we shouldn't give due attention to the theory that Alycia or Terra Save is behind it, Sharon. But I see you have a point… we shouldn't jump to conclusions with so little information. Try to be patient with us. I don't think anyone here WANTS Alycia to turn out to be some kind of 'terrorist'. We just want ANSWERS, and I think we ALL wish Alycia had been a little more forthcoming yesterday."

Cameron: But either way. It doesn't work that way.

Sharon: Wait a minute, Cameron! Who are YOU to cast such a dim cloud over Alycia? Where were YOU when she risked her life for the Six in Arklay Mansion or any OTHER number of times she risked her career and life for this team? How many times have YOU disappeared and reappeared, only to be given a chance time and again?

Wow, trouble in paradise as soon as the morning after? Maybe it didn't go so well last night after all. Haleigh thought to herself, suppressing a smirk.

Isis: There won't be any confirmation in the public media. internal officials are utterly BAFFLED at the lack of any "clues" left at the murder scene. there's utter chaos on Capitol Hill because they have NO idea who is behind this.

"She's correct. From what I'm gathering, there's no clear leads. The investigation is stalling. All preliminary reports have been vague so far. That would suggest that WHOEVER is behind this is at least intelligent enough to cover their tracks."

Diana: Now that you're all here....Did you sleep well last night?

"Well, I've slept BETTER, but thank you for asking."

Diana: You're looking rather peaked, ::in Alison's voice:: "baby brother". Was fucking Sharon last night more than you bargained for? You were too busy fucking her to even be concerned about your other team mates...and what might be going on with them weren't you?

[sighing] "Diana, that's hardly relevant. Can we just focus on the REAL problems, or were you planning to regale us with a play-by-play like you did the LAST TIME you so insensitively revealed an indiscretion?"

Hellfire- War Room

:: Malice seemed to ignore Cameron as he retorted as if nothing he said (much like his existence) was valid. When Delilah tried to back him, Malice looked over at her.::

:: exhaling with a bit of laughter.::

I guess not having nightmare fantasies about your mutant hating boyfriend has allowed you to stop self loathing long enough to TRY to be witty, eh? Try again because like most of your attempts at life...you failed.

:: waving her hand dismissively at Delilah as Haleigh quickly intervened.::

:: Malice smiled a bit as she seated herself.::

Anything to distract from the truth, Haleigh? Your typical mode of operation.

No, I suppose it's not that relevant, after all...they werent breaking the hearts or spirit of another team member with what they did now were they? :: referring to Nicolas/Haleigh/Morgan::

at least not to a degree that SOMEONE WOULD ADMIT TO. :: referring to Haleigh herself and how she must feel about Cameron and Sharon.::

:: immediately moving on as she tossed her hair back with satisfaction::

Now then...it is quite obvious you are all foaming at the mouth to find out about Senator Ron Davis. So why dont you just GO to his office? That IS what you do, isnt it? "investigate" things? It's not OUR (the sisterhood's) job to tell you what you need to know.

:: If they wanted information, they'd have to get it themselves. But after thinking about it last night and conferring with the other Queens, it was decided that Malice's suspicion about who the green eyed woman from last night actually was DID warrent disclosure.::

Delilah massaged her temples. Listening to Diana go on and on...and on was giving her a headache. They had wasted enough time on these people.

"Right. Clearly the idea of cooperating on this is getting us nowhere. Now that you've [The Sisterhood] succeeded in taking us round and round in circles and giving us nothing, I think it's time for us to go. Trying to get anything done here is pointless."

She turned to her team.

"They don't want to cooperate with us, fine. Frankly, they just succeeded in stalling us and wasting our time by keeping us here. Let's go."

She thumbed toward the exit and turned towards Malice and the other two women.

"Okay, have a nice life, hope no zombies get you in future. Good day."

She made a "salute" motion with her hand and moved towards the exit, not waiting for a response from the others.

Dominique: Our files indicate that Alycia "accidently" killed Stavrous Cassadine during a confrontation at Illustra where he broke into her office, waiting for her and then apparently attacked her in an attempt to get revenge.

Rolling her eyes, THAT was the main reason Ava disliked Alycia. Of course everyone will say it was in self defense, but Ava knew deep in her gut it was because Alycia hated Stavros and wanted to get rid of him once and for all. Of course her dad wasn't blameless....he was actively seeking revenge against Alycia for what she [and the six] did to both herself and him. But blood was thicker than water.

Dominique: Based on this, and Malice's own descriptions of Alycia, it would not be entirely far fetched that she MAY have killed the Senator. HE is involved with WILPHARMA who is Mystech's would be SUCCESSOR, an emerging power and THREAT across multiple fronts now.

Ava didn't say a word. For once she agreed with Dominique. She KNEW Alycia killed the senator. It was her MO. And what she found even more ironic was how certain people in the six overlooked Alycia's bloodlust and murderous escapades and simply blamed it on her being "fragile and under stress because of the six". Ava didn't buy it. And even though Alycia was apart of their team--and under their protection--she still secretly wished Alycia would pay for the things she did.

Finally Malice and Enchantra entered the war room. And right off the bat Malice started baiting the group.

Malice: Was fucking Sharon last night more than you bargained for? You were too busy fucking her to even be concerned about your other team mates...and what might be going on with them weren't you?

Rolling her eyes in disgust, Ava really didn't want to hear details about Sharon and Cameron's sexcapades. She heard enough of it while they were DOING it. :p

"Ugh, really?"

Haleigh: Diana, that's hardly relevant. Can we just focus on the REAL problems, or were you planning to regale us with a play-by-play like you did the LAST TIME you so insensitively revealed an indiscretion?

"Honestly Haleigh, what do you expect? It's the only way she get get a RISE out of anyone anymore. [glancing to Diana] You do know in psychology that's called displacement?"

With a cocky smirk, Ava made her way over to Delilah who vocalized the pointlessness of working with the sisterhood. It was one step forward, two steps back.

Delilah:
They don't want to cooperate with us, fine. Frankly, they just succeeded in stalling us and wasting our time by keeping us here. Let's go.

Agreeing wholeheartedly with Delilah, Ava followed behind as she exited the war room. Turning around at the doorway, she looked to the other six members.

"Look, if the rest of you want to try and work through Malice's web of crap to get information that might actually be useful, then keep me updated. I'll work with Delilah on the Terra Save/Alycia front, okay?"

Looking to Haleigh, Ava gave her "the look" that meant call her or she'd kick her ass later, the brunette soon turned and left the war room, catching up with Delilah a few minutes later.

Hellfire Catacombs

:: Malice continued to smile smugly as she tilted her head to the side and crossed her legs, sitting back and taking a nice long look at her frenemies.::

Persephone, I guess you ARE good for more than just standing there like a potted plant.

:: they all seemed to be exasperated with Malice. Fine with her. She didnt relish working with THEM either and while last night was rather...unpleasant ;) It was Isis' link to Nicolas that brought this trash here...not HER.::

:: in a smug tone of her own.::

I didnt ask you here. Nor did Enchantra. It was Nicolas' rather UNFORTUNATE link to Isis that lead to you being here. Don't THINK for a moment that WE need YOU.

Feel FREE to go out there, in the city, with no base of operations and no contacts. You are as much of outsiders HERE now as you were when you first arrived on Aerie and it is only because of US that you even HAVE a "fresh start". By all mean! Go out there and FUCK IT UP as you are so GOOD at doing time and again and watch who will come to save you THEN!

:: the sisterhood stood united on this as Malice was basically showing them the way out. but the REALITY was, just by being GUESTS at the hellfire club, it was a benefit to the six to have a base of operations. it wasnt Malice's fault the Six were so BENT on trying to PROOVE to THEMSELVES that SHE couldnt affect them, get under their skin or otherwise. Illustra was gone and so was their standing...good OR bad. They had the BENEFIT of being able to be here without the threat of exposure for now, but how long would that last? ::

oh but before you go to where ever it is you are planning on going, you might want to realize that ALYCIA is here, in the city but it was nearly impossible for me to read/detect her thoughts. Not because she is psi screened, which she ISNT and not because of her newly aquired amazon mental discipline, but because she ALTERED her form at some point but several Hellfire Operatives spotted her at JFK yesterday evening. It would appear that you're belooooved friend and ally is not as forthcoming as she would want you to believe.

If you uptight little bitches had been less defensive and more willing to LISTEN, you would have picked up on the CLUE that i was trying to give you. GO TO RON DAVIS' office. You'll find what YOU need there. Besides, this IS the sort of thing your team does, doesnt it? investigate things that "could effect society or humanity as a whole?" why WOULD WE [ the sisterhood' be involved in THIS when we could use our talents to find more on this mystery woman?

We'll take care of things on OUR end and when you're finished, you can come BACK here and we can go from there.

Is that okay with you or are you too stuck on yourselves and your pitiful sense of pride and desperate wish to "rise above me" that you can't even handle a simple RECON mission? Cameron can use his psi powers to impose his will on the guards and others at the building to get you past...and inside, you'll be able to find what you need.

:: Malice had a point. The Six did not have the standing or foundation here as they had before. Their base was in L.A. and since the situation was HERE, they needed to be as well. They were so busy trying to stand up to Malice and show her how tough and resilient they were, that they werent even able to play the game. Malice mocked them as they stood near the door, KNOWING that they knew she was right.::

Now, if you're done being a bunch of self righteous piss ants, carry on doing whatever it is you do in these situations :: waving them off dismissively:: and when you're done, Nicolas can contact Isis and she will spirit you away and back here sight unseen.
