** Daydreaming for a few seconds, Jas snapped out of it. Shaking her head she flicked back to the VIP lounge, investigating or rather probing the posse here. Focusing on Alison, she squinted her eyes. Alison Marble...beautiful, intelligent, but something about her is unnerving. Perhaps she was too zealous with Morgan and Delilah. She had to recoil these plans for now, maybe set a minor reprieve. Did she really detest these strangers or did her fathers manipulation work? She was still kept in secret and it peeved her. **

Let's check on Alexis....

** Her computer hummed a bit with a light music echoing in her office from the club's bass booming sound system. Clicking on the minimized window to pull up Alexis and Haleigh, overhearing the sex comment. She cringed at it, That's a rather unpleasant thought let alone imagery. She thought. Exiting all windows, she shut the computer down. Standing up, she was feeling anxious now. She was the owner of the club, perhaps she should mingle? What if she gave into her enemies? Put on a facade? It would work but that meant befriending Morgan and her gang. A plan B if needed but one she'd rather side step. She was still intrigued by Alison but why? Jasmine felt intimated by her...that stern voice. Shuddering she would need to do more research than walk into this blind sided. It meant killing a few more bystanders, but it was a days work. **

** She had each members file from old resources but one who she didn't have power wise was Morgan, Alison, and Delilah. She pass it off for now and regroup back in the party. Turning at the waist, she turned and headed out of the office. Shadows intertwined as bits of ice lined the hallway seeing Alexis and Haleigh. Turning her neck, Jasmine locked eyes with Haleigh. Turning ahead she side stepped Alexis without any harassment or even a look. **

** It was time for a drink. Moving through the frenzied crowd she stopped off to the side. The scene reminded her of Madonna's Ray of Light video. And in return Jasmine lost her walls to break into a full bright smile, revealing her dimples on each cheek. She was the prototype of Blaze Fielding and anyone in that crowd could see it. Along with a frigid chill traveling along the dance floor. Her smile faded when she nodded to the bartender. "Long Island iced tea, please." Her eyes staring off in space, thinking of her deceased sibling. Blaze is gone....I wish I knew her...more than a face with a name. She scoffed at how ridiculous her thoughts were. No emotion would be forbidden. Her long shiny white fingertips grasped the long tall glass enjoying the burning sensation. Shutting her eyes to clear her disturbed mind. Nursing her drink she turned to stare at Morgan until stopping on Alison. Cute, the group seemed to circle around Delilah like adult elephants did when protecting an infant. Understand Jasmine was almost impossible unless you were a psychologist. Stepping onto the bar step to sit. "Fuck it." Chugging more of her drink without a second thought. The alcohol warming her icy interior. There would be other nights to pick them off one by one. **

::Alexis and Haleigh were together, and Jasmine was WATCHING everyone! Alison could easily just BLINK in front of Jasmine and BLOW HER UP..EXPUNGE HER UTTERLY as she did several of Haleigh's soldiers nearly a year ago when they first locked horns. But she knew that would have ill effects. As much as she wanted to STOP what was coming, she knew she had to LET IT happen. But she would be damned if she would allow Delilah, Alexis or anyone else on the team to be manipulated. It had happened before......courtesy of her own mother, Kelly King, and with the help of Kelly's manipulations among other things..., Morgan was pushed over the edge and nearly destroyed the city....and Blaze lost her life.::

:: the team was so vulnerable and on fragile ground. and although they were much further along now. it seemed they were never allowed to enjoy happiness for long UNLESS they were in Limbo. Alison hid her concerns well from everyone right now as she enjoyed herselve with a vengeance...looking and acting in a way not seen SINCE the night of the gala event when she shocked EVERYONE in that eye popping versace dreses.::

Alexis didnt even have the chance to respond, as Jasmine seemed to be unable to sit still for very long. Haleigh locked eyes with her and watched her disappear around the corner. Haleigh turned to Alexis, releasing her elbow.

"SHIT, now look... there she goes... this could be problematic... just go back to alison and the gang... I'll take care of her... warn Alison that we will be in my booth... and visiting us there wouldn't be wisest. DONT argue with me, okay, just do it... for Morgan's sake. tonight is supposed to be for Blaze... and i can take care of myself."

Haleigh didnt give Alexis the chance to respond, as she disappeared like a shadow around the corner, slipping into the crowd like a predatory tiger slipping through the savannah grass. She had a lock on Jasmine's position at the bar and she made a point to ease up to her. No doubt Jas would be able to sense the abnormally high temperature gravitating towards her. Haleigh slipped past a couple dancing close and finally closed in on Jasmine. She casually sat on the barstool next to him and looked out over the crowd as she spoke, her eyes locking on Morgan and Alison. Well well, werent they dressed to impress?

"Look... I dont really know much about you.... and I dont know what you care about or what your motivations are... but it seems to me that you feel Blaze's death should be avenged. I'm not going to stop you from doing what you feel is right unless it conflicts with what I feel is right.... You probably know Ive been in this business a LONG time... and listening to anything i have to say would be in your best interest. I JUST think i should impart a little hard earned wisdom. Rome wasnt built in a day... and nor did it fall in one. something like that takes much planning, and great patience. Whatever you hope to accomplish tonight by confronting those people out there right now... I think it will be disappointing... and I should know, I've been dealing with them for some time now. Why dont you just take it easy. Come with me... I've got a secluded VIP booth.... we can have another drink together... talk things over. Surely you must have questions for me?"

everything she said was so true... and seemed obvious now that she'd said it. Frost could see Haleigh was trying to help... though why was still a little unclear... and there was SO MUCH frost could learn from Haleigh's past experiences that haleigh's offer to talk would be MORE than enticing. but would she bite? Haleigh tried one final card to tip the scales in her favor.... in EVERYONE'S favor, really.

"Hey... tonights reopening of the club... its big news. Its in all the papers and will be tomorrow as well... the whole thing is being thrown is Blaze's honor.... do you want BAR BRAWLS and death to be associated with her memory?? If you stay out here in the open... thats exactly what will happen."

:: Eyes widening at the sex comment, one of Alexis' eyebrows rose giving her an amused expression. Oh yes, that's exactly what she thought was going on in there. Rolling her eyes as she shook her head, she glanced to the closed office door allowing Haleigh to speak. But before she could even respond and protest Haleigh keeping her out of the loop about this woman, Frost walked by them. Watching her closely until she disappeared from sight, Alexis turned back to Haleigh huffing. As she too walked away, Alexis brought her head back against the wall, banging it gently emphasizing her annoyance. But just as Alexis was about to head back to the VIP room to explain to Alison that she gained no information, a small smirk appeared on the metahumans lips. ::

"Well if you won't tell me....I'll find out myself."

:: Pushing herself off the wall, Alexis sashayed her way down the hallway to Ms. Klien's office. Placing her hand on the handle, she jiggled it once noting that it was locked. Turning her head, she glanced over her shoulders to see if anyone was near by...and with that, Alexis took a step back, thrusting her hand forward as two bolts of energy went flying from her palm and into the door handle, immediately blowing the entire handle off. As the door creaked open, Alexis pushed her way into the dark office, walking over to Frost's desk. ::

"Alright...lets see who you really are..."

:: She stated quietly to herself. Sitting down behind the computer, she ran her hand along the mouse causing the screen to flash on. Scowling at the passcode needed to activate the computer, Alexis inhaled a deep breath as she sat back in frustration. Haleigh was the computer wiz...so this left the metahuman at a dead end.::

"Shit..."

:: Looking down at the desk, Alexis sat up while lowering her brows....now this woman wouldn't be so stupid to leave vital information just laying around her office, now would she? Pulling open a drawer, Alexis shuffled through it seeing nothing of interest. Closing that one, she proceeded to open another, and then another, finding nothing useful. Finally reaching the last drawer, Alexis tried to pull it open, but of course, it was locked. ::

"Ah ha.."

:: Pulling open one of the previous drawers she looked in, Alexis withdrew two paper clips. Unfolding them, she stuck an end of each paper clip into the lock, fiddling with it. After a few moments, Alexis smiled as was able to turn the lock to the side, successfully opening the drawer. ::

"Thank you Haleigh."

:: Tossing the clips onto the desk, Haleigh taught her a few tricks, "in case of an emergency". Picking locks was one of them...with the necessary tools of course. Pulling the drawer open, finally, she hit the jackpot. Pulling out a manila folder, she placed it on the desk, opening it. The entire folder was filled with information of Delilah. Her powers, her history, birth date...lowering her eyes, she grabbed another manila folder, placing it on top of Delilah's. Opening that one, it was information of Haleigh. Grabbing the last, she opened it immediately, seeing it was her information as well. ::

"Who the hell are you....."

:: Closing each folder, she placed them back into the drawer and shut it. Standing from the desk, Alexis made her way out of the officer, shutting the door behind her. With a wave of her hand, and a flashing white light, Alexis glamoured the door handle back into place making it look as good as new. Walking quickly down the hallway, she emerged into the large club looking around for Alison....her eyes scanned from person to person until finally, a woman in a very provocative looking outfit caught her attention. Stepping down the stairs, she pushed and shoved her way through guests until finally, she met up with Alison. Grabbing a hold of her arm, Alexis smiled to the others while tilting her head a bit to the side. ::

"I need to borrow Alison...this handsome man by the bar just won't keep his eyes off her legs."

:: Letting out a small laugh, she pulled Alison away, her face becoming serious once again. As they made their way to the bar, Alexis stopped short seeing Frost in the distance. ::

"Haleigh had nothing on her, so when they left, I went into her office and found files. She has information on Delilah, Haleigh, and myself. Our powers, biographies, history, acquaintances. Everything. Alison, I don't know who this woman is, but she knows an awful lot about us...."

** Deep in thought, Jasmine seemed emotionless while sitting at the bar. Her long island iced tea nearly gone and she was heavily feeling it. Caressing her forehead, she blinked her eyes to get a hold of her when she stopped. She smirked smelling the scent of Haleigh's perfume, "hello Hals...due sit down." She spun around on the stool to see the Metamorph, "knew it was you...that perfume of yours..gives you away." Resting her palm across her chin, she sighed heavily. "You can save the monologue my dear, I won't be doing anything rash tonight. Delilah's powers alone could crush me not to mention your friend Alexis'. Besides, there's too many witnesses and I'm well aware of my sister!" She slammed her fist down onto the bar top, pulling it back. "She's a Murderer...sure she LIVES with guilt but does she look miserable now?! Why was this whole FUCKING team not saving my sister! She's a Fielding for Christ sake.." A low growl escaping her throat, the subject was touchy for Frost. She was angry because she was losing her cool, mainly from the alcohol. Standing up, she reached out for Haleigh's hand, but it wasn't fake or phony. "I'm sorry....all I can think about is her...Morgan. My father told me what happened.." Retracing her hand, which was abnormally warm due to the high content alcohol. Beads of sweat forming across her forehead. **

"I'm not thinking clearly and I'm babbling on like a trainwreck. I'll take you up on your invitation."

** Suddenly a cell phone beeping was heard, "excuse me.." Opening her purse, she placed the ear bud in her ear. A man's voice was recognizable in the background. "I see...how much did she see? And where is she now? Kill her! I don't care, her friend too!" The man was referring to Alexis who had broken into Jasmine's office. The sensors in the room were temperature sensitive plus touch, which gave away Shockwave's position plus the lock on her drawer. Several guards heavily armed were on their way to see Alexis and Alison (you two can play the guards as you like). Tossing the ear bud into her purse, she glared at Haleigh, "your friends aren't very wise....snooping into my business.." Was all she said as she straightened up. "Let's go." She reached around Haleigh's arm as they made their way to her smooth. An icy look in her eyes that read pissed off. **

** Sitting down on the booth, she was raging now. "We both know their really "not" your friends at all. Sure you have a couple of good times but have they really been there for you, well Cameron has. But your love for him blinds you...." Drinking a large glass of water to dehydrate her system, she glanced up, "I know a lot about you guys..just as you did before you joined the Six. Can you honestly say you care about Morgan? Is she worth protecting? She's one powerful bitch with a little research she can be brought down." She stopped when her device rang, "yes? The blonde is weak with hand to hand, tire her out and don't use powers...she'll steal them. The brunette I have no idea, but keep your distance. I'm pretty sure you'll be screwed." She hung it up and returned to Haleigh, "your friends are meddling in my business...especially Alexis. I've seen to it they be taken care of...but don't worry they'll live...Alison is there." Her eyes looking up, "I can't promise I won't try to kill Morgan, I'd be lying. I will try but I DO have questions for you." She pushed the half empty water glass away, "why are you sitting here and listening to this....I wanna know why you didn't pull that trigger, tell me why YOU care. And don't lie to me because I detest liars just as much as you do." **

:: As both Alison and Alexis stood by the bar, she watched as Haleigh and Jasmine left, proceeding to a booth. Narrowing her eyes, she knew Haleigh could take care of herself, but the fact that this woman knew about Haleigh’s powers gave her a slight upper hand. Especially if Haleigh wasn’t aware of fact Jasmine in fact knew that she was a mutant. Before she was able to say anything to Alison, the crowd around her seemed to grow in intensity. Feeling herself being jerked away from the precog, the grasp on her forearm was strong and relentless. ::

"Whoa!....Alison?!"

:: Struggling to get her arm free, she noticed it was one of the bouncers of the club. Turning back, she couldn’t even see Alison anymore because of the massive amount of people; which meant, most likely, Alison lost track of her as well. Turning her head once more to the bouncer, Alexis began to jerk her arm back trying to get out of his grasp. ::

"What the fuck is wrong with you! Let go of me! Do you NOT know who I am!? I’ll have your damn job for this....You won’t be able to work security for Chucky Cheese when I’m through with you!!"

:: Being drug into one of the back rooms, the man pushed her inside and shut the door. Grunting, Alexis brushed the spot of her arm that he was holding her off. Turning to face him, she growled with contempt wanting to know exactly what the hell his deal was. But as he shut the door, Alexis knew something wasn’t right....Turning, she noticed three other men standing behind her. Dammit, that woman must of had security cameras or something in that room...Gripping her hands into fists, she smiled to the nice gentlemen lifting a finger up. ::

"Whatever she’s paying you to do this, I’ll double it if you let me leave now."

:: Speaking to them as if they were children, Alexis raised a single brow as they took a few steps forward, ignoring her offer. Okay, money was not an option for them. What kind of right minded people were they? ::

"You don’t want to mess with me....trust me. It’s not worth it."

:: Feeling the man that drug her into this room grab her from behind, Alexis began to struggle as the three men made their way closer to her. Sighing, she really didn’t want to get into a fight tonight. I mean really? Can’t she simply go out to a club and enjoy herself without resulting to killing people. As the man holding her pinned her arms to the side, Alexis grasped both hands to his thighs, sending a mass amount of electricity throughout his body. His body began to shake and convulse until finally he couldn’t help but let her go. The three other men, obviously not shocked by her powers, sprung into action. Lifting her hand up, she sent two energy balls flying into one of the mens chest, while quickly side stepping another man, trying to avoid his grasp. As she back peddled away, she backed right into the third mans arms, not even seeing him stealthily manoeuver behind her. Startled, Alexis jumped struggling to get free from his grasp. As he pulled her around, doing a 180, he slammed her up against the wall with a loud thud. Grunting at the impact, Alexis swung her head back, slamming it into the nose of the man pinning her against the wall. Okay...bad..very bad idea. Instantly getting dizzy, she lifted her hand up to her forehead closing her eyes as she pushed past the guard painfully holding his nose. But as she opened her eyes, Alexis met the end of a rifle, the butt of the gun flying swiftly into cheek. Collapsing to the ground in a heap, Alexis could taste the blood trickling from the corner of her lips. Placing her palm flat on the ground, she lifted her head up seeing the man who hit her pointing the barrel at her face. With wide eyes, she swept her glance up to the grinning man before looking down at his trigger finger, seeing it slowly pull back. With a quick squint of her eyes, the gun began to glow a brilliant white, taking the man by surprise. With a blinding flash, the man took a step back, looking down to his rifle. Seeing it was still in tact, he grinned as he took aim right at Alexis’ forehead. Pushing herself up, she watched as he pulled the trigger. With a clicking noise, a little flag popped out of the barrel of the gun with the word "bang" on it. Letting out a small laugh, the metahuman waved her hand ala Prue, sending a massive energy wave at him, knocking him square into the wall behind him. ::

"I’m going to kill your boss. And I’m going to make it fucking hurt..."

:: Wiping the blood from her lip, Alexis huffed feeling the pain in her jaw increase. Okay, she really didn’t want her face to match her outfit, so this whole situation was really starting to piss her off. ::

::As Alison enjoyed herself, she felt Alexis approaching. Soon the metahuman was there and needed a word with her. as the others laughed at Alexis' joke about the bartender drooling over Alison's legs [that dress WAS provocative indeed] Alison informed Morgan and the others she would return shortly and went over with Alexis::

:: pushing some hair back from her sleek, bone straight chinese bob, Alison listened intently and IMMEDIATELY began to "see" what Alexis had done...::

It is as i predicted....Jasmine brings a seed of great trouble.....she must be DEALT WITH!

::Before Alison could finish, she found herself being jostled by large, well armed men who yanked Alexis away. As she stepped forward...one of them blocked her way::

OUT OF MY WAY you big LUMMOX!

:: pointing at the man...he found HIMSELF being shoved aside by a HEARTY telekinetic push as he fell on the floor and slid...he was quickly surrounded by dancers and patrons and would find himself TRAMPLED if he didnt recover. but Alison didnt care. with no one really watching her...shes BLINKED from where she was into the office...just in time. Alexis was being overwhelmed::

HEY!

::the guards turned and open fired...but Alison had already blinked from one spot to another::

now..its MY TURN!

:: thrusting her hands forward like Piper, Guardian BLOWS THE MEN UP...their screams echo as the explosions flame out and nothing remains but piles of ashes::

:: Helping alexis off the ground.::

Haleigh is talking to this woman. the psychological factor of Jasmine's resemblance to Blaze is getting to her. and something ELSE that i See....Jasmine...has STOLEN the deed to this club. she strong armed the manager/accountant and he sold it under the table to her BEFORE Alycia had finished executing the will! this deal of course wont stand in court..but she did this JUST to have a way to get to Morgan. Morgan and Alycia dont realize that at this moment, Jasmine has assumed ownership of the club and those guards as you know are some of her henchman.

::turning to see a camera in a corner of the office....alison flings her hand up and toward it and blows it up violently. destroying any source of visual in that room::

well thats ONE less place she'll be able to pry. Now.....we've only got a few hours left....we've got to try to keep things running smoothly for Morgan's sake.Otherwise there WILL be a bloodbath here.

"Oh, SHE'S a murderer, is she? What about YOU? You know an AWFUL lot about us... just how many people did YOU kill to get to us? How many SISTERS and BROTHERS and sons and daughters? this whole FUCKING team was doing the best they could to just SURVIVE the ordeal that killed Blaze. Things just happened too quickly. Your sister and I... we were just in the wrong place at the wrong time."

Haleigh paused as a waitress approached them, and she settled into the booth and took a deep breath. She had been tensing up slowing and defensively. Talking about Blaze and what happened what more painful than she'd realized. Haleigh politely order a Sea Breeze and waited for the woman to leave again.

"Your FATHER told you? I hate to break it to you Princess, but your father is a LYING, LOW LEVEL CRIMINAL, Who THINKS he is more powerful and more important than he really is. He couldn't POSSIBLY know what REALLY happened to Blaze, no matter HOW savvy his contacts are."

Haleigh leaned back, her eyes leveling on Blaze, with a frown of disappointment, shaking her head. She thanked the waitress for her drink and scolded Jasmine. She didnt CARE how pissed of the woman was.

"Yes, well, you arent being very wise right now EITHER... you REALLY need to learn to pick your battles. My FRIENDS are just trying to find out WHO you are. You say you care about your sister... tonight's party is in her honor and you know that, but here you are trying to SHED BLOOD in the midst of it all... here you are trying to provoke catastrophe. do you WANT to die tonight?? Is that what you want? Because at this rate, thats EXACTLY what youre going to get."

After jasmine finished with the phone the SECOND time Haleigh fried the cell so it wouldn't work. "i HATE being interrupted." She swirled the ice in her drink around a bit. She thought about Jas' questions. DID she care about them that much? To be as protective as she was being, even at the expense of herself and her reputation? She didnt comment about her love [or her current relationship] with Cameron... That was too personal a subject for her. She looked up from her glass, locking eyes with Frost.

"I was once a person who cared a great deal about my friends, and would do anything to keep them safe. In recent years I have hidden that part of me away... but losing Blaze has taught me how foolish that really was. I can HONESTLY say that I care about ALL of them. That is to say... I just met the Cop... so not counting her. I respect her.... she pulls her weight. But I truly care about Morgan, Alison, Alexis and Cameron. They ARE worth protecting, at ALL costs. and its not about whether they feel the same way, or any of that... we have been through so much.. you couldnt understand. You can TRY to kill Morgan.... but it will have to be over my dead body... and I must warn you... killing me is quite a task to accomplish. I mean to say... you MIGHT kill me... but making it stick is a challenge."

She winked... it would go over Jasmine's head, it was an inside joke. Haleigh sipped her drink some more and furrowed her brow, trying to decide how to answer that last question. She took a deep, slow breath, and stared down into her drink as if it held the answer to all HER questions.

"Your sister... was one of the greatest people I've ever met. She just... accepted me... with all my flaws, as terrible a wreck of a person that I am, that I was when I met her. With no obligations, she accepted me. DESPITE the fact that Morgan TRIED to discourage her from me.... and for that alone, I'll love her till the day I die, and probably long after that. If only I was THERE, when she fell... I would have given my life for hers... and things would be now the way they SHOULD be. and she would still be alive... but shes not... and every time I look up at you, I see her... and it kills me to know I lost her because I was petty, and vindictive, and stubborn. You see... it may have been Morgan in the end... but we ALL did our parts to provoke the chain of events that took Blaze from us. Even Alison couldn't stop it, with all her power. This is the cross I bear.... I let her down... and that's why I didnt pull the trigger, when normally I would have. I want to HELP you.... I owe it to her, to save you from the fate that you seem to be DYING to share with her... you see... because Morgan will KILL YOU TOO... and I will have failed Blaze twice."

Frost may not hav been able to appreciate what she was witnessing... but it was a BIG step forward for Haleigh.... it took a lot to get it all out... and Haleigh was exposing herself once more, as she had before that fateful trap she'd walked into when she was in the military.

:: Seeing Alison appear just as the men were starting to get on their feet for round two, she swiftly blew each of them up and lent a helping hand to Alexis. Grasping her hand, Alexis winced a bit in pain as she stood from the floor. ::

"Ow..ow...Ugh, thanks..."

:: Craning her neck from side to side, she lifted her hand up to her jaw rubbing it gently. Showing a bit of discomfort, Alexis was slightly pissed off. But as Alison began to explain to her that Jasmine stole the deed to this club, the metahumans eyes went wide. It was one thing to try and kill the six, it was another to steal something so emotionally valuable to them–to the leader of the group. Shaking her head, Alexis let out a sigh. ::

"I can't believe that woman....Alison, Morgan is going to flip OUT when she finds this out."

:: Stating the obvious, Alison was well aware of how Morgan was going to react. Rolling her eyes at the situation, Alexis ran her hands along her sleek black jumpsuit, fixing any wrinkles or signs of struggle, away from the material. Lifting a single hand to her hair, she ran her slender fingers along her blonde locks, "brushing" it back to it's sleek side swept do. ::

"How do I look? Is my cheek bruising yet?"

:: Wiping the reminisce of blood away from the corner of her lip, if they were to keep up calming and fun-loving appearances in the club, she couldn't very well walk out with a bloody lip and a bruised cheek. Hello, big ol' sign indicating something was wrong. ::

here comes trouble

** Silence spread between the two soldiers after Haleigh finished her discussion of herself, Morgan and her connections with Six, and Blaze. Looking away, Jasmine avoided eye contact now. It left a hole in her heart to continue to hear about her sister but she gave Haleigh the opportunity to speak her peace, without any sort of interruption. Reaching for her glass of water, she finally locked with those green cat eyes. "I'm not saying my father is a saint, he's the real reason I was created as this monster. I've killed dozens of people without a second thought, its who I am. Do I try to correct that? No, its who I am, a killer."

** Leaning forward in the booth, she sensed her men were dead already. It would be useless to attempt. Haleigh's words echoed in her mind repeatedly. The woman had a point. She wanted badly to lash out like an unrelenting psychopath with no conscious. Buried deep in that chamber of ice was a person with feelings. And as much as Frost tried to deny that Haleigh was cracking that fortress she so desperately created. **

"I want her dead...but perhaps you have a point. My sister was fiery and stubborn, she would have gone no matter what the circumstance. Even if I give Morgan a chance.....retreat of my mission...it won't take away the pain but maybe that's my lesson. I'm tenacious maybe a little too much. Walking away from this will be nearly impossible but since Morgan is well was her half sibling, she probably did her best to warn Blaze."

** Another waitress walked over but she leaned down to touch Jasmine on the shoulder blade, whispering into her ear. Green eyes going wide but the Assassin immediately shielded it. "thank you." Her eyes falling to the table, almost in disbelief. "So, I really was a Fielding..." Her body temperature dropping to abnormal depths of cold, "I had a contact look into my birth. It wasn't the nurses fault, Victor Klein stole me from the incubator. Apparently he had a very sick daughter, switching us..." She stopped to register this new account. "I would have grown up with Blaze!" Her eyes morphing into a dark blue hint as she folded her arms across her chest. "How exactly can you help me Haleigh? You obviously see my sister when you look at me and Alexis does too. It hurts you both but its in a way reassuring to see a Fielding in front of you. I give you my word I won't harm Morgan or her friends and I'll end all attempts to sabotage her company. Your friend, Morgan, it may not have been her fault after all."

** Meanwhile back outside Victor Klein and his horde of men were storming into the club. Walking inside, all of them wore a traditional tux but with white ties instead of black. Victor was the one in center who was the most muscular of them all even for a man in his 50's now. His black hair slicked back like some gangster who ran the streets. "Find my daughter, now!" He walked around when he saw Morgan Victoria from the corner of his eyes, "Victoria..." He whispered with hatred. **

** Back inside Haleigh's booth, one of the staff approached Jasmine, "Ms. Fielding...we have a serious problem!" She looked up, "well, out with it." He glanced at Haleigh and then Jasmine, "your father and his men have arrived." Jasmine bolted from the booth, "fuck! Get him a drink and keep him busy." The man walked briskly away. Turning around, Jasmine leaned her head inches from Haleigh's, mimicking her move. A gust of cold hit into Hals, "okay tiger, you want your friend to live, get her to safety. My father is here and he won't be so easy to stand down. He will open fire on ALL of these people just to attempt to kill Morgan. I'll need you by my side, you'll watch my six." Backing away, Jasmine reached down to her long elegant black gown and ripped it to form a long slit through it. Kicking off her shoes, she began to walk barefoot. "Hurry, we don't have much time." She quickly placed her hair in a messy bun for now. **

"I can't believe I'm saying this but I'll help protect Morgan but I'll warn you she'll probably have my head by tonight after this is over with." She glanced over to her shoulder, "I need to lure my father out of this building..with his men." Having Victor there just complicated the situation and added more logs to the fire. Walking down the stairs, she hurried her pace to the dance floor again. She zig zagged through the crowd to see her father. Haleigh and Jasmine would keep in touch via a head set that was small and hardly visible. If anything they would look like staff. **

** Victor sat at the bar drinking a scotch on the rocks with some of his men around. Jasmine walked up, "Dad, hey, what a lovely surprise..." She faked a smile. He swung and back handed her in the mouth. Her head whipping to the side while he finished his drink. "What the fuck is wrong with you? You bring in that fucking bleach blonde whore? Whose your family Jasmine! And get this stupid shit out of your face." He pulled the head set off and dropped it to the floor. The piece was smashed by his heavy foot. The reception on Haleigh's end crackled and fuzzed. Turning to look at her father, Jasmine's eyes got colder in degrees as did her heart beat begin go slow, a sign of distress. It took all her strength not to knock his head off. "Father! We must go, I'll explain on the way." She put emphasize on the word. His dark ebony eyes studied Morgan and then Delilah. "you bring a COP in here! I'm ashamed of you as my daughter!" It was the final straw for Jasmine who gripped her father's arm tightly bending it backwards as he sank to his knee. Her eyes a murky blue, not bothering to blink, "let's get this straight daddy, I'm not your daughter, I never was." Two of the henchmen moved in but Victor stopped them, "no!" Releasing her hold, Jasmine backed up, her lip swelling with blood forming from the cut on the lower lip. "Get out." He stood up, towering over her with an arrogant laugh, "No!" Another mighty swing and this time he physically hit Jasmine this time in the face. She fell back into the bar, knocking some bottles over to steady herself. He looked over to her but Jasmine was on her feet. She moved to stand in the way. "I won't let you threw....she's not the enemy, you are!"

Haleigh leaned forward against the circular table between them, driving her point home.

"Yes... its who YOU are... its even who I am. You and I... we have lined our own paths to hell with the blood of our victims... WE are killers. But that's NOT who Morgan is. Morgan is a GOOD woman who was led into the woods and left to fend for herself... she was lost and confused as to who was trying to help her and who was trying to hurt her.... and she WASNT herself... she was... something else. Something primal."

Even Haleigh found it bizarre to hear herself saying these words... but it had shown just how much she'd come to understanding. Just how much she'd risen above her previous state and her misconceptions about Morgan... and though she was reluctant to show it to those she was closest to, here with a stranger, a stabler, wiser and more gentle person shone through. Haleigh allowed herseslf a breath of relief... she seemed to be getting through to the girl. Perhaps tonight would not be so bad after all... it was a GOOD thing she'd decided to come, even if her plans of cutting loose were canceled. And then it all went to hell, as Victor Klein decided to show his pompous face. Haleigh placed her hand on Jasmine's forearm, trying to steady the girl, who was reacting like a spooked horse.

"NO. Calm down.... sit. Just wait a second, dont go out there all halfcocked!"

But her pleadings fell on deaf ears. Jasmine was far too worked up to heed the advice of a more experienced operative.... and her father was a much closer-to-home adversary. Haleigh sat back in the booth as Frost disappeared from view, shaking her head. "This girl is fucking squirelly!" She exclaimed to herself out of frustration. She tapped into the club's surveillance, a system she was familiar with [after all, it WAS hers], and watched Jaz slip through the crowd. This could be messy. Haleigh listened in silence until her earpiece went offline. she rose from the table and began to prowl through the dancing patrons toward the scuffle quickly. Haleigh strategically placed herself so as to block Jasmine from Morgan's view, thinking ahead BEYOND just disolving this problem to delaying the next. She arrived in time to see Jasmine hit a second time, and she narrowed her eyes as her gaze fell on Victor. Frost would be the only one to feel it... but with her anger her body temperature rose, as if her SOUL was on fire... these HEATHEN men were trying to mar Blaze's memory... and she wasnt about to have that. Haleigh sensed the weaponry on Victor's thugs and raised the density of the metals, weighing them down to be too heavy to bear.... anything in an ankle holster would anchor that foot to the floor, too heavy to even drag... and anything on the hip or chest would be SO unbelievably heavy that the men would find themselves SITTING DOWN to relieve the gravity force on their frail human frames.

Haleigh, wearing white in the sea of traditional black, easily attracted attention... it helped that she wasn't too hard on the eyes. ;) Her alluring voice broke through to the immediate group, manipulating the sound system in the club to quiet in the bar area to allow her voice to be heard.

"Viktor Klein....." She said, seductively. She was aware of her effect on men... and she was subtley using it to her advantage. She was almost as bewitching as a siren when she had to be. "I think its time for you to leave this place.... you arent welcome here."

** A familiar seductive voice turned even Jasmine's head who there was standing Haleigh. Shaking her head as to say 'no' to her comrade. Granted, Haleigh and the rest of the members of the Six were beautiful and divine. However, Frost felt her icy heart melt with emotion. In a way she felt like Haleigh was a sister either older or younger who looked out for the mutant. She couldn't let Haleigh put her ass on the line, it would be Jasmine, she's the one who started this pandemonium. Her father side stepped Jasmine to see the white angel speaking to him. He went to her when Jasmine spun around and froze his feet to the ground, "don't touch her!" She was taken back by such emotion in that sentence. Blowing it off, she knew the other man would be disarmed thanks to Black Widow. **

** Touching her father on the shoulder pads of his tux, she watched as he shivered, knowing his daughters icy touch. "All right! But I'll be back for the bitches head!" He was able to walk freely but he had to un - arm himself. Tossing the gun to the bartender, who placed the gun in a safe where other pistils were kept for the many celebrities who kept them. Victor filed out with his group of men. Frost would turn around to stand in front of Haleigh. It was rather ironic, one with a black dress who was of darker origins and one of a reformed past with a white dress. Both allied now and perhaps would share a deep rooted bond like Haleigh and Blaze did in the past. "thanks...I guess I should disappear too before Morgan finds out about her club...although something tells me she will." She knew better than to make visual contact with Morgan or Delilah. "Now what Ace?" The same nickname used for Blaze was given to Haleigh. Her lips smirked, "by the way...nice dress." **

** One mess taken care of, she would deal with her father another time. For the time being Jasmine had bigger problems Morgan and her gang of blood thirsty wolves. She was ready to face the music, Morgan would probably seal her fate and Alison and Alexis would assist after what the mutant had ordered. "If you've got a plan, now's the time to review it."

the tribute begins

<< as the dancing and partying went on....Morgan was blissfully unaware of the trouble brewing...as was most of the throng of beautiful peopl all around her. but as Haleigh helped to control THAT situation, while Alison and Alexis were preparing to confront Jasmine and Haleigh...Morgan , Diddy, and Madonna slipped away to prepare for the show. ALISON AND ALEXIS decided to watch the show from a distance...to keep a better eye on the surrounding area of the club. and as the club seemed to shift and change...the patrons, celebrities and other elite guests were now seated at rounded tables with floating orbs of soft silver lighting. the club was now darker. Diddy and Madonna took the stage to gather everyone's attention and announce the mini fashion show...as a large square perimeter with a centered catwalk that reached out into the audience appeared along with a large liquid crystal screen at the back and floating monitors that seemed to circle in the air all began to broadcast a rapid montage of bling, excess, laser lights, and fashion models from shows recently passed. "Switch" by Will Smith begins to play as fashion models from Illustra--wearing fashions by Sean Jean [diddy's design lable]for women began to strut their stuff in time to the beat while dancers--mostly bare chested black men and provocatively dressed black and white women danced along the north line of the perimeter. Diddy hyped the crowed as the models strutted and the dancers moved to the beat and the images. the song shifted as the DJ began to pick up the pace with a deft remix of "Hung Up" by Madonna. the setting seemed to change...giving it a more "futuristic disco" look with disco balls hanging down by varying lengths and sizes..sparking and spinning as the very floor of the perimeter began to manifest illuminating squares on it. the dancers were now pop locking and performing other b-boy and retro styles while the models had changed their style as well..looking more "technological" with their metallic make up and outlandish hair accessories. MORGAN joined them...as she strutted with a look of elegant disdain...taking her final pass and turn....she winked at Alycia and Delilah who were front and center..>>

<< the mini fashion/dance show wound up as Morgan walked down again, arm in arm with Diddy and Madonna and the models walked out along each side of the perimeter as everyone took their place along the front of the perimeter facing the crowd, Morgan was given a mic>>

This evening, the fun , the celebration the events...all happened here at XS. remember this place. It was founded by my sister, Blaze Fielding. A woman of firey passion and zeal who played as hard as she worked. This is her club...and though she is no longer here with us....this is one piece of her legacy that will endure, bringing joy to ALL of us for years to come. I thank you all for helping me to HONOR her spirit..and celebrate her hard work. I thank you ALL!!!!

<< A beautifull picture of Blaze Fielding manifested on the large screen...with other shots of her appearing on the smaller, floating screens>>

<< Morgan's voice cracked just a little...as she finished but the audience was already clapping and cheering wildly with approval...standing to their feet to praise Morgan, Diddy and Madonna for a wonderfull show, clapping and cheering for the beautiful evening of fun and glamor and joining Morgan in paying tribute to Blaze's memory. >>

<<the night had been a success. MUCH money had been generated and would be donated to Blaze's favorite charity causes and XS had now been established once again as the premier celebrity hotspot in NYC. It was supposed to be under Illustra Inc's umbrella..but some "unexpected details" had not been dealt with yet. but for this moment...as the audience cheered and clapped....hugs were exchanged by the models on stage with the dancers as Diddy, Morgan and Madonna all gestured toward the picture of Blaze and then took a bow to the audience. Madonna's song "JUMP"...another futuristic, yet dreamy sounding dance track from her latest album began to play as everyone on the catwalk and perimeter began to file off into the darkness back stage...and now that the festivities of the evening had climaxed....everyone was free to mingle, network, resumed drinking , dancing etc. Morgan would soon encounter Alison and Alexis back stage....>>

behind the scenes--Haleigh's private lounge

::Alison watched the show with a smile on her face. it was fierce, well put together, and glamorous. and the tribute to Blaze was very tender...Morgan's voice betrayed the emotion that she so often tried to hide from everyone. Alison placed her hand over her heard as she remembered the spunky, sometimes outrageous younge mutant that was Morgan's sister. as the show came to a close Alison joined in the applause with everone and looked over at Alexis::

well, THAT went well enough. Haleigh managed to head a potential blood bath when a man calling himself "Victor Klein" attempted to storm the place to ASSASSINATE Morgan. He was prepared to lay waste to this crowd.just to kill her.

as soon as guests start to spread out again...WE are going to intercept Haleigh and Jasmine and CONFRONT this woman.

:: pointing out the path they needed to talk to avoid most of the moving crowd, Alison lead the way....walking with a direct, unrelenting glare in her cobalt blue eyes. Alexis could almost FEEL the cold, analytical, unforgiving persona of Alison reasserting itself....and after having the softer, feminine, and fashion forward side of her....it was a shame that the events "behind the scenes" at XS had forced her to once again become GUARDIAN. Yet she kept on her provocative dress.::

:: they made their way up the stairs ....passing up Alycia and Delilah and not running into Morgan and Diddy...easily uncovering the where abouts of where Haleigh and Jasmine were...Alison's eyes flashed and the doors of the private lounge BLASTED open as she and Alexis strode into the room. Haleigh could see that Alison was PISSED and not in the mood for ANY interference.::

We want some answers...and we want them NOW!

and DONT try ANYTHING Jasmine Klein because I'll KNOW IT before you even DO it...and I'll do MORE than just "stop you".

::this was more along the lines of the Alison Haleigh remembered back when they FIRST met..the night MysTech's citadle went into Meltdown. She was cold, dominant, and unfeeling. But it was clear that she wasnt directing this at Alexis OR Haleigh. She was doing what she did best..INTIMIDATING the apparent enemy.

:: Walking into the private lounge after Alison blew the door open, Alexis stood aside of Alison narrowing her eyes at Frost. Giving her a small smirk, she lifted her one hand up wiggling her fingers in a taunting wave. ::

"It's going to take more than a couple of thugs in designer suits to take me out, sweetheart. So I suggest you start talking."

:: Flicking her head to the side, brushing back a few of her bangs that had fallen into her line of sight, Alexis shifted her eyes to Haleigh. At this point, she wasn't sure what Haleigh knew or didn't know. If she found anything more concrete out other than that Jasmine knew of the six and took over the deed to Blaze's club. Parting her lips, she turned her attention back to Jasmine as she crossed her arms along her chest awaiting the woman to speak. With a simple raise of her eyebrow, Alexis gave the woman the same 'you're beneath me' look that she had given earlier...indicating that these two would not be buddy-buddy in the future anytime soon. ::

Haleigh was more than prepared to lay waste to Victor and his cronies, or else most FORCEFULLY escort him to the exit... but she was taken by surprise to see Frost step in and take the lead, but she allowed herself to fade back into the background as the men left... She turned to Jasmine as the woman thanked her, folding her arms across her chest to protect her heart. Her tone was defensive and slightly standoffish, keeping cautionary distance. Haleigh and Blaze had been close... and with her next words Haleigh made it clear Jasmone would have to EARN Haleigh's trust.

"I didn't do it for you." She sucked in a sharp breath. "I did it for Morgan, and Blaze."

Haleigh said nothing, and betrayed no indication of surprise upon being called Ace... she shook it off and told herself it was mere coincidence... As she turned towards the staircase nearest to them and beckoned Jasmine to follow her.

"Next we go upstairs to my lounge... I like the booth because it allows me to be 'IN' the action... but I can see circumstances require you and me to be more REMOVED from tonight's events."

Haleigh watched with interest as the show began, standing behind the panels of one way mirrored glass that allowed a spectacular stage view from her lounge, perched on the mezzanine of the second floor of the club. As Morgan brought her speech to a close, haleigh smiled softly. Thank God SOMETHING had finally gone right... and it was fitting that tonight was the night. Zach let himself into the lounge, glancing at Jasmine before smiling at Haleigh. He handed her a black folder and Haleigh pulled him in for a kiss as she took it from him. He whispered in her ear and she smiled and nodded against his shoulder. He waltzed over to the bar in the corner of lounge and began to pour two glasses. Haleigh slipped on her thin, wire rimmed and through the folder without looking up at Jasmine.

"You aren't the only one who runs background checks. Alison and alexis are coming to confront you.... please do not get skittish again and do something foolish."

Haleigh took the glass of red wine Zach offered her and he placed his now free hand on her hip as he stood behind her... alison and Alexis both stormed in, claws out. Haleigh closed the folder and though she could tell Alison was not in the mood, STILL interfered.

"Now ladies.... CALM down... give the girl a chance to explain herself."

"Explain herself? Haleigh, she just sent four men to kill me...i'm sorry if i'm not much in the listening mood anymore."

:: Obvious irritation in her voice as Alexis spoke to Haleigh, she wasn't about to sit back and allow Haleigh and Jasmine to continue on with their pow wow after being attacked. Whatever Haleigh had up her sleeve, Alexis didn't like it. She seemed to comfortable with this woman that she just met. A woman who is in obvious connection with Blaze and wants the six dead...or from the looks of it atleast. Glancing away from Haleigh for a moment, she noticed a rather attractive looking man by her side...lowering her brows slightly, she looked back to Haleigh who seemed pretty comfortable with him. Well, I suppose Cameron was out of the picture...Shaking those thoughts out of her head, she shifted her eyes to Alison grunting a bit. ::

"Can't you just blow the bitch up so we can get back to the party. Or better yet, let me turn her insides into ash..."

:: Giving a malicious smirk, Alexis took a step forward toward Frost. ::

answers

** No emotions were shown in the mutants eyes as she followed Haleigh inside her lounge. Crossing her own slender arms across her sleek black dress, in a way it matched her soul. Her makeup similar to Blaze's except more eye liner was applied to draw out those sage green eyes. She quietly observed the show, staring at the picture of her sister. Internally it pulled an old wound open. Her eyes narrow and cold when Morgan made a phenomenal speech, one that did speak great depths laced with raw emotion behind it. **

** A small squeeze gave Zack's location as the mutant eyed the door. Spotting a rather attractive man appear. She disregarded him with memories of her father's words replaying inside her head. Dropping her arms she turned to see Haleigh greet the man, but this time she was once more silent. It was difficult to read Jasmine now, who seemed aloof with even Haleigh and her guest. Probably busy thinking of tonights events. She seemed in control of her emotions and when a huge explosion rocked the wall, she turned to see Alison and Alexis. **

** Turning towards both women, she locked eyes with Shockwave with a raised eyebrow. **

"Is this a social call or are you just here to kick somebody's ass?" "But if you kill me...you'd be killing two Fieldings in a row, but instead of Morgan slaying it would be one of you."

** The statement was direct and to the point as she directed to Alexis. She pondered if she should give these two the full version or the bullshit story. She decided to go with the truth instead. But as Alison stared her down, she was no longer intimidated by this bewitching beauty. **

"Blaze Fielding and I are identical twins we were separated at birth. Victor Klein stole me and then claimed me as his own flesh and blood. I never knew my sister until Victor told me Morgan Victoria killed her. Well, Alison, your file is exceptional but I'm not here to compliment. I wanted Morgan dead but along the way Haleigh talked me out of it. Haleigh is an old friend of the families, which is how we know the other."

** Stepping in front of Alexis so they were head to head, she looked right THROUGH her, a characteristic Blaze often did. "Oh, Honey - cut the drama!" "If you need anything, you know, just a shoulder to cry on or a ride to AA, let me know." Moving in front of Alison, she locked eyes,"Keep the little woman on a short leash or I'll run her over." Referring to the irritating blonde beside Alison named Alexis. "You knew who I was....yet you kept it a secret from this whole team...including Morgan. Why? You could have..as Alexis says 'blow the bitch up' but you knew more. The great seer saw more...what you saw I don't know."

** Stepping back, she began to put the pieces together. "Whether you like it or not, I'm supposed to join this team...its destiny. Right Haleigh?" She turned to glance at her comrade, "what's more disturbing is...I get memories from Blaze...its our connection. When one twin dies the other feels it and also gains memories." She allowed the two women to register what she just told them, "and if you don't believe my story, Haleigh can verify any misconceptions you have about me."

Haleigh and Zach sunk into the nearest plush black leather sofa, and the lights in the room dimmed slightly, making the red hued walls look darker. Haleigh pulled her spectacles off and placed thm on top of the black folder, now sitting on the coffee table. She rubbed her eyes slowly, her tone now irritated.

"Give me a BREAK, Alexis, I've had a very LONG and TRYING day, and an even LONGER night. I'm JUST saying... give her a fair CHANCE."

Haleigh sighed and sipper her wine, leaning back into Zach's chest and relaxing her body. It was clear she didnt want a very active role in this.... she just didnt think it necessary to double and triple team, or shoot first and ask questions later. But as Jasmine challenged Alison, Haleigh's thoughts ran with the words and she raised her head as she questioned.

"Alison... what is she talking about?"

** Raising her left palm to calm Haleigh who was quick to take her defense. Shaking her head, she locked eyes with Alexis. **

"Its okay Hals, Alexis tends to speak when not spoken to. I think that's reason why she's single and divorced ten times." A cold cackle lingered in the air as her green eyes morphed to a midnight blue. "Alexis has this insecure aura going on here but sometimes she needs to remember her roots of the good doctor. You were just as easily transformed Alexis, so if you judge me, you judge yourself."

** She smirked at Haleigh's question to Alison, "yes, Alison due explain to your teammates. They do deserve to know why you spared me. By the way, are you guys hungry? I'm having champagne." Walking over to the small mini bar, she began to create a drink when she eyed Alexis, "Princess, you want a drink too? Oh wait...excuse me I forgot." A devilish evil smirk written on her lips. Jasmine's true icy demeanor was pulling through. Leaning down to Haleigh she whispered into her ear, "by the way, if you copulate in here try not to dirty the carpet." Winking to Haleigh, she turned away. Chilling her glass of champagne, taking a sip. All eyes were on Alison. **
