:: Maia raised an eyebrow, suddenly finding herself in the desert along with her teammates. Her eyes closely observed the packs, and she quickly identified her pack, that also had her trusty metal sais ontop. She picked up her note, and smirked a bit as she read it precisely. The note dissigrated into dust and blended in with the scenery. She looked up, and caught up with Sydney and Euthlia ::

"Yeah. We should keep a slow pace... we wouldn't want to waste our strength."

:: She walked a few steps in front of them, and looked around as they walked ::

*She paused for a second after they were transported into the desert, steadying herself. She walked over to her pack, looking through the contents and then slipping it onto her back. She slipped her purple celtic encrusted dagger into her left boot as she heard Rama's mind message. She looked around at the surroundings, feeling the heat and surveying the plants and other things. She ran to catch up with Euthalia, Maia and Sydney, then smiled at them as they continued to walk through the land, trying to find one of the realms...or atleast spot it before they walked right in unprepared. She looked up ahead to Rama and sent him a message.*

"Lead the way, boss."

The group hikes through the burning sands in the direction of the ever distant mountain and the large outcropping of rock that they hope might provide some sort of shelter. After close to an hours hiking, Amarisy begins to feel something cool and wet dripping down her back and legs. Checking rather quickly, she finds that her water skin wasn't sealed tightly and her precious water is nearly gone.

:: Notices the water trail that Amarisy has left... ::

"Shoot..."

:: Helps Amarisy to stop the leak and then afterwards he smiles at her ::

"Don't worry you can share with me..."

:: She glances back at Amaris, pausing for a second as her water began to leak, waiting for Tobias and Amaris to catch up with the rest of them. Her eyes flicker over Amaris's backpack, and she starts moving again, turning her head back slightly to face her as she speaks ::

"If we're sharing water, its not going to last long - we don't have enough as it is. I think our priority should be looking out for some kind of water source."

:: She flips back her dark mane, already feeling her bare arms and stomach heating up uncomfortably, with no protection against the harsh sun of the desert ::

:: Thinks for a moment ::

"Maybe I could teleblink for some water, and if some materialises we will know that there is a stream or something nearby?"

:: She contuined to walk the whole way, when she noticed Amy and her water dripping.. And watched Tobias take care of that. She then heard Sati speak, and nodded in agreeance with her. ::

"I'd have to agree with Sati.. Our first priority should be finding more water.. Otherwise, none of us will last very long."

:: She heard Tobia's suggestion.. But not being to familiar with the power of teleblinking, she wasn't sure if he could even teleblink water, but I guess anything would be worth a try.. She spoke, but not directly to Tobias.. For her eyes were wondering, looking for water. ::

"You can try, I'm not sure it would work, but anything is worth a try.."

:: Maia heard the rest behind her, and she turned around and looked down the path, where a faint trail of water has nearly evaporated. She looked over to Amaris and sighed, nodding ::

"Yeah. You guys are right... Maybe Rama and I could conjure some?"

:: She sent him a telepathic message ::

Do you think we could do that?

"If powers are the method we can use to create water, then it might be simplest for me to just hydro blast us some. The problem being that we don't know what powers are going to work correctly, what aren't, and what are going to completely backfire on us. So maybe it'd be best to hold off on the power useage until we're completely desperate."

:: She peers ahead of them, towards the distant rocky mountains ::

"I'm betting we'll find something there. If we can make it there."

:: Kurama heard all the suggestions and pondered ::

"Maybe me and Maia or Sati could try conjuring or hydroblasting, I could try to Summon Leviathon to the area but I feel my garnet has stopped buzzing like it normally does along with my diamond earring and ruby ring, so I'm not sure if our talismans work here, Ikaris never said :-/. But lets try. I'll attempt to conjure 3 water buckets. Maia you or Sati take care of the water part"

:: Kurama closed his eyes and in 3 sets of smokey rose petal swirls in front of him, 3 water buckets appear ::

"Perfect, your turn ladies"

:: She looks down at the buckets, raising her eyebrows slightly, eyeing them warily ::

That seemed easy.

:: Apprehensively, she raises her hands, aiming two gentle blasts of water just above the buckets, intending to allow the water to drop gently into the buckets, not knocking them over as the full force of a water blast would have ::

"Great. I see that wasn't a problem..."

:: Maia takes Amaris's water skin and dips it into one of the filled buckets and closes it. Smiling, she hands it to Amaris and looks over at Sati and Rama. She was glad that Sati had water powers or else they'd have to get off track and have to look for a water source ::

"Thank god that Sati has that power..."

:: She looked over at the group, then back down at the buckets ::

"We should probably take advantage of these buckets."

:: Pulling her water skin out of her pack, she took a sip from it, and wiped her forehead with the side of her arm ::

:: Sydney had watched everything happen.. And deep down she was just hoping that some how, maybe not right away.. But in the long run, that power use did not back fire on them. Maybe, it would have been easier to find a water source.. They will have to sooner or later. She shrugged that thought of though, for now. Then, pulling her own water skin out of her pack.. She took a drink of it, and then placed it back in her bag. ::

I hope this doesn't backfire on us..

:: She thought to herself, and then adjusted her pack on her back in a more comfortable positon... As she looked up at the sky.. Finding the sun, trying to see how much time they had until it got dark.. ::

"We should keep going."

:: Kurama nods and looks around ::

"Uh guys I think we just wasted a bunch of time using and argueing about our powers when there are water sources right in front of us duh. The cacti, they contain rejuvinating water, of coruse why didn't we see them before?"

:: Kurama shakes his head in regret ::

"Now lets get going"

The pack continues on towards the outcropping of rock, finally managing to drag themselves into the narrow strip of shade they find there. After resting for a few minutes, Maia notices an increasing drop in the temperature and looking out from the shelter, can see huge black anvil shaped clouds looming nearer. Crimson lightning arcs throughout the clouds turning portions of them the color of blood. Perhaps the most disturbing thing is that though the storm will break over them in minutes, it is completely silent, no crash of thunder can be heard at all...

A strong wind seemingly springs up from nowhere and brings with it first the smell of rain and then the first drops. The precipitation is a foul green in color and Maia notices first a tingle as the droplets touch her skin then a burning sensation where the liquid has settled.

:: Kurama sees the clouds as well and then hears the sizzeling coming from Maia's skin and knows and whats up ::

"Guys its ACID RAIN. We need to get shelter and fast. Sati can you run around at high speed and see if there is a cave or rock alcove that is close by? I'll raise a telekinetic barrier to keep the rain out, Tobias and Maia I'll need your help for it will be wide, lets make it so only People can get in and out and of course air."

:: Kurama focuses his energy and raises his arms raising the barrier he can feel the rain hiting it ::

:: Apprehensively he raises his hands up just like Kurama and focuses. He had never done anything like this before, considering he had only just been promoted, but he tries his best. ::

"I hope this works..."

:: The barrier soon becomes stronger and less and less raindrops make their way through. They were safe for now... Tobias looks down and grimaces at the little burn marks on his skin. ::

What have I gotten myself into?

:: After noticing the increase in temperature, a single drop of acid rain falls onto her arm. She lets out a small scream, and she looks down at her arm, and sees it burnt ::

"Damnit!"

:: She looks over at Kurama, and nods as she raises her arms over her, gesturing ::

"Guys! Stay close to us!"

:: She puts up a Telekinetic barrier, hoping Kurama's doing the same ::

*She keeps walking, starting to get a little tired, wiping sweat off her forehead. She feels something slimy roll down her legs and takes off her pack, seeing it soaked and looks inside, noticing her water skin open.*

"Could have sworn i checked that before we left..."

*She quickly picks it up and seals it very tightly, letting Tobias help her. She looks up at him and smiles, nodding.*

"Thanks. Powers are always worth a try...just gotta be prepared if they backfire."

*She nodded to Sati's comment, and then watched as the three tried to use hydroblasts to make more water for the group. She drinks the rest of the water in her skin and hands it to Maia as she refills it, then places it back in her pack securly sealed. She puts her pack back onto her back and follows the group up the trail.*

"Thanks Maia. That's a great idea Rama, we can use it next time, no need to worry."

*As they relax in an alcove, she notices slight red flashes in the sky, staring up trying to figure out what's going on. As the rain comes down, she smells something burning, coming from Maia's direction. As she helps hold the barrier up, Amy reaches into her pack for some creme and walks over to Maia, rubbing the creme onto her wound to soothe the pain and keep it from getting infected. She huddled close to her friend to keep away from the rain.*

"There's something wrong with the sky too. We might not be dealing with just acid rain...we need to figure out a safe way out of here."
