<< dusk gives way to night time, as Spellbinder teleports herself, Guardian, Morningstar and Shockwave from Illustra in NYC to a seclude private lakefront hidden within a wooded area if the affluent suburbs in Conneticutt...it was dark and eeriely silent. almost a perverse serenity>>

<< the four super powered women arrive on the back deck of a large, four story home over looking a crystal lake which glowed from the moonlight. sounds of small animals in the trees all around could be heard...it was the most rustic and natural setting that the "team" had been in since they formed.... the smell of pine and other fresh foliage was in the air>>

<< Morgan looked around...it was quite dark..and very still..save the soft sounds of nature in the air>>

this area..its so beautiful , and very well hidden. no wonder they chose this spot.

<<looking at the house....Morgan walked forward..but she felt the pull of Alison's hand on her arm..urging her to stop>>
 
:: Disappearing from Illustra, the woman were soon at this beautiful cottage surrounded by woods and water. It reminded her of her own cottage in the Pocanos. So serine and heavenly. Staying quiet, Alexis surveyed the area, seeing nothing out of the ordinary...no sounds, just the russeling of the trees. But as Morgan took a step forward, Alison immediately stopped her. Lifting a brow, she looked to Alison...something was up. ::

"What's wrong?"

:: She whispered very softly. ::
 
:: looking ahead, Guardian stood between Morgan and Alexis::

::whispering:: look!

::from within the sliding glass doors...far into the darkened house, a pair of immense red eyes drifted past....given the height at which the eyes were....it wasnt hard to imagine who that might be. a predatory breathing/growling could be heard faintly in the air as "the shape" drifted by..not seeing the four women as he was deeper in the house::

its him...the super soldier! he's found alycia and sharon....but they are hiding underground nearby. the agency that is after them THINKS they are still here. if we go in there...we will be ambushed.

::a well timed warning from the seer::

morgan, cloak us quickly. and everyone just back off of the deck slowly, quietly carefully.
 
:: Looking through the window, Alexis narrowed her eyes seeing the bright red eyes. Lifting her chin, she watched as the black shaped figure passed the window without noticing the woman. Letting a slow breath pass her lips, she looked to Morgan and Alison. ::

"Can you teleport us to the exact location of Alycia and Sharon?"
 
<< Spellbinder's eyes fixed on the hulking shape that drifted past the window...its terrifying eyes glowing blood red>>

<< whispering as well>>: but wasnt this thing supposed to be in OHIO? how did it get to the east coast before US!?

<<looking back out on the lake...a chime was heard as the group was now cloaked by a spell>>

we've got cover...but Alison will have to lead us to them. if i open a disc, the thunder will call attention to our location.

<< slowly stepping off the deck and away from the house, Morgan looked out into the woodsy area around them...>>

this is almost like....like a horror movie.... << even in whispered tone..her voice drips with disdain at the idea of the four women-- women of POWER no less-- cowering in fear of some monster>>
 
:: As the cloak went up around the woman, Alexis felt a little more at ease. However the fact that they were still in a close proximity of this shadowy figure still made Alexis on edge. Turning, the brunette stepped forward making sure to keep all her weight on her toes as to not make the fainted clicking sound from her heals. Any noise would draw attention to them. As she stepped down the stairs and planted her feet on the dirt path, she exhaled, feeling more comfortable now. ::

"First 'The X Files' now 'Jason'..."

:: She whispered sarcastically, trying to lighten the mood. Her eyes scanned the wooded area around them; it was dark, even a slight fog enshrouded the trees making it very creepy. ::

"How do we get to them? Is there a passageway that enters their underground hideaway?"
 
:: Guardian continued to whisper....she too was walking carefully so as not to allow her spiked heeled boots to make too much noise::

walk straight ahead....towards the trees...we will find an "open area" within the brush....and once there.....we will find a passage in plain sight, yet never seen.

::leading everyone along..they could hear the crashing inside the large cabin..."the shape" was clearly getting agitated, but so far he was none the wiser::


::moving through the brush and around trees...they found themselves deeper in the woods...a soft cooing from a nocturnal creature in the air...the moonlight shown down through the leaves of the trees high above.::

the passage way should be about HERE.

::she pointed her hand....as the dirt, leaves, twigs and foliage began to stir. Alison used her telekinesis to clear the way to a steel capped door...with a security key pad.....using her power of precognition...she discerned the last person to enter the code was Alycia. with her "scrying eye" she saw the code..and began to enter it NOW as they stood. a soft beeping was heard...a pressure release was heard::

okay...go down the shaft...and quickly, it wont be long before the shape comes OUTSIDE!
 
[ Morningstar in her 'other life' as a police officer was of course used to silent surveillance. She didn't need to be told what would happen if they were to try to fight that creature at this particular time and place. She figured that in this case, caution was the best policy. So she followed along with the others, trusting in Alison to get them where they needed to go.

As Alison opened the steel door and motioned them inside, Morningstar slipped down into the shaft, not knowing what she would find within. ]
 
:: Walking through the woods, the wind blew Alexis' brown hair behind her back, giving her a slight chill. The area was dark, she could only see a few feet infront of her. But as they entered the open brush, the moonlight acted as a lantern, lighting the area for them. Looking around as Alison began to work her magik on the sealed door, Alexis kept watch, just incase that thing decided to pay them a visit. But soon, her attention was once again drawn to Alison as she instructed them to go into the passage. Without hesitation, Alexis stepped forward, carefully down the steep stairway. As she entered, she ducked her head down, holding onto the railing aside of her. Her heals clicked softly against the metal stairs until finally, she reached ground. ::

:: Looking up at the others, she stepped forward, entering the narrow passageway further to allow the other woman more space to enter. Looking down the dark tunnel, she felt like she was back in the catacombs of Wyndemre. Narrowing her eyes, they began to adjust to the lack of lighting. Only small lights could be seen hanging on the wall to give only the slightest illuminatation. ::

"Everyone in?"

:: She asked, as she slowly stepped forward again. ::
 
::eek:nce everyone was inside, Guardian took one last look...she felt a presence....sweeping and fast...like a concentrated when.....the lake shimmered and flowed ever so gently...as creatures cooed softly...and just as she began to look down to move in and shut the top...the glowing read eyes appeared....just as suddenly as thunder might crash::


::GASP::

:: Guardian immediately dropped down and pulled the door shut, sealing it with her telekinetic power::

::breathing heavily, Guardian couldnt figure out why she was so jittery...she had more than enough power to defend herself...but the word "indestructible" kept ringing in her head.... she opted not to tell anyone how the creature just suddenly appeared out there in front of her like that::

okay...., were below ground..and hidden from just about any form of conventional detection. I sense Alycia and Sharon are close...and Sharon is..badly hurt. Alycia is on edge...and may be disoriented when we reach her....so everyone take it easy


::Leading them down a tight hall...the soft hum of power could be heared within the earthen walls....and as the hall widened...they found themselves in a very well stocked bunker with furnishings, food, medical supplies and a computer screen with a sophisticated control panel::
 
:: Making her way down the hallway, Alexis ran her hand along the wall, more of a guide to see where she was going. Finally she reached the bunker, stepping in the lite area. Looking around, they seemed to have a very well stocked bunker with computer equipment, food, ect. Staying quiet, it was better if Alison and Morgan spoke with the two woman. Eventhough Alexis had met them, and they seemed to take a liking to her, Alison and Morgan knew them better, and it only seemed like the logical approach. Plus, they had yet to meet Alexis with her new appearence..::
 
[ As Morningstar followed Guardian down the hall, she held out her hand, palm up, and produced a small ball of light to guide her way. She could feel the energy pulsating through the corridor - this was no ordinary tunnel.

Coming to the bunker, she closed her hand, extinguishing the light source. Looking around, she was impressed. It was clear that its builder had been prepared for any eventuality. She particularly would have liked to get a look at that computer console. Well equipped indeed. But that didn't make her any less concerned for Alycia and Sharon. She had a bad feeling that it would now be Delilah's turn to save Alycia. ]

<< the soft humming of power and electricity played against the flashing images of surveilance over the cabin and surrounding forest/lake area..."the shape" was no where to be seen...at the moment on the screen>>


<< As Morgan looked around..a hand came out of the shadows and grabbed Morgan's arm! Morgan jumped with a start as she turned...ready to strike whoever it was...but saw it was Alycia....>>

by the abyss, you nearly scared me to death!

::Alycia was a strong woman, full of determination and tenacity. nerves of steel and hardly one to scare easily...but tonight, she was as pale as ghost..as she struggled to stay on her feet. her suit looked tattered..she had obviously been running through the forest...a bruise on her cheek and a black eye indicated that she'd been attacked or involved in a fight::


::COUGH!! COUGH!!!!::

M....Morgan...

:: her voice was weak...::

:: Alycia stumbles...but Morgan holds her steady::

We..::takes a moment to collect herself::

were AMBUSHED...."the shape" is HERE. I dont know HOW it found us...but its here now. He hurt Sharon badly. She's lying over there on one of the beds, unconscious...I had to carry her as best i could through the woods to get to this hide out that we had made.

::Alycia was tall, slender, feminine. but her seemingly fragile beauty masked the tough and resourcefullness that made her a force to be reckoned with in the courtroom and in the board room::

::pointing the counsel:: the computer should have recaps of my ..encounter with the creature. I barely got myself and sharon out of there....


::she saw Delilah..and managed a weak smile as Morgan held her up...she looked upon Guardian, another familiar face..and then saw Alexis....her eyes were cold and suspicious upon viewing Shockwave..but given what she had been through and what threat was looming over her life...Shockwave shouldnt take it personally::
 
[ Upon seeing Alycia's condition, she quickly moved to her former lawyer and looked her over. ]

Alycia: "What about you? Are you injured? Do you have medical supplies here?"

[ Her police and FBI training gave her some knowledge of first aid...and some medical attention was better than none. Having Alycia go into shock or pass out on them would not be what they needed at this juncture. Once she attended Alycia, she'd do what she could for Sharon. ]

::she buckled from the pain as a concerned Morgan held her steady and Delilah came to offer her assistance::


I...think broke a couple of ribs...i fell while trying to get Sharon out of the cabin.....it hurts to breathe too deeply...

:: she tried to keep it together..but she was trembling and she looked worse for the wear::

to be honest..i dont know how either of us lived long enough to get here....we dont have any super powers like you ladies.

::coughing...as she was helped to a chair and slowly sat down::

We...thought this area was secure. It's Sharon's private cabin....but we werent even here several hours before we were attacked! its almost like ...we were FOLLOWED.

I'm not surprised...I've come across some very sensitive information about the super soldier project and the fact that the test subject was taken against his will, his mother murdered....but there's something else. I found out that Haleigh Davidoff and the Super Solider were romantically INVOLVED as well. This was BEFORE her days in the field of covert intelligence.

This Super Soldier project was deemed too risky and too expensive...and was ABANDONNED by the government officially. But MYSTECH stepped in and picked up where federal funding left off! thats why the creature has gained MORE than what was initially intended in the way of powers and attributes.

When i found out about MysTech's involvement..THEY found out about ME. They know ive helped Morgan and the others cover their tracks since the caper at the citadle...just as they know that sharon and i helped Delilah start a new "life"....they want to "eliminate me"...just like they did the Super Soldier's mother....
 
It figures ANY paramour of Haleigh's would turn out to be a MONSTER!

<< she gestured over the wounded sharon...sparkling trails of magick followed after hands as she performed a restoration spell. a cool, soothing sensation washed over senator Kelly as Morgan restored her body healing external and internal wounds. Morgan watched closely as Sharon's body returned to its normal state...>>

its a good thing we got here when we did..Sharon was close to death! What about Alycia, Delilah?

<< Morgan turned to see what was going on across the room while Alison went over to the the control panel of the large screen>>
 
[ Delilah had found a not-surprisingly well stocked first aid kit, and set upon bandaging Alycia's ribs and attending to her cuts and bruises. As Alycia spoke about her life being in jeopardy, she nodded. ]

"I suspected as much. There have been rumblings of - discontent - with you in the intelligence community."

[ She finished her work the best she could, then stood and turned to Morgan. ]

"She'll be sore for a while, but she's in no immediate danger."

[ As she spoke, something occurred to Morningstar. Thinking back to the scrying glass... Her face registered the information and she looked at Alycia and Morgan. ]

"Wait - what you showed us Morgan at Illustra. If Mystech is involved with the Super Soldier program...that means that the government has not left the project. That they are actually working with Mystech."

Shadows in the Night

Traveling across Earth was exhilirating and liberating to Adrian, who had been used to having his feet planted on Earth for most of his life. He wasn't too sure how it worked - something having to do with a parallel plane on the spiritual dimension. In either case, this same personal link allowed him to pinpoint any being on earth based on his/her spirit. For him, still naive in his capabilities, this trace was faint, and it took extreme concentration to locate the four.

With that steel determination, Adrian found himself alongside Alison, Deliah, Alexis and Morgan. Even to powerful precog's such as Alison, Adrian's new half-dead state, constantly shifting between Earth and the spirit realm, had made his movements in tangent with time erratic. At the moment, he would be invisible, though to the most adept of psychics there would be a faint outline of Adrian's form, with the occasional glimmer of a limb -- like the wind.

He followed them at length, until out of the corner of his eye he spotted the hulking figure who passed by the window. Although shrouded in shadow, Adrian could clearly see the outline of its spirit. Composing himself, he reasoned that this thing, or something having to do with it, was at the core of The Six's newest caper. Much to his dismay, the four chose to cloak themselves in magic, and suddenly, they became nearly invisible to him. Keeping extremely close to Alexis (who was she?), he followed them through their pathway, listening to the sound of their footsteps. Although soft, that, in addition to the traces of spirit, allowed him some "scent" to track.

Having entered the shelter behind Alexis, Adrian missed Alison's close encounter with the creature. As he walked, he analyzed the haven. Fairly well-constructed and sheltered, but he hadn't expected anything less. When Adrian saw Alycia, he raised an eyebrow. She was battered and beaten, and she even looked familiar. From the deep recesses of his mind, he faintly recalled seeing her at some extravagant banquet, but he failed to associate her face with any kind of name.

After Morgan's indication and Alycia's drawn-out explanation, he looked on at the control panel and waited for the footage, maintaining a state of stealth among them with his arms crossed behind his back. As a man who had "come back from the dead", he was surprisingly calm as he registered all this new information. Among many things, Adrian had learned to internalize his stress and draw it out in opportune moments.
 
then that explains why Haleigh was LESS than worried about the idea of being exposed to the government's intelligence agencies back at the Citadle...she KNEW that there was corruption at the HIGHEST levels of the US government and that possible MORE than one agency was in MYSTECH's pocket!

:: alison shook her head...perhaps there was a REASON that Haleigh was so cut throat AFTER ALL...maybe there were some things that she knew first hand..::

:: sitting down at the counsel, Guardian took control as she began to make queries about the Super Soldier::

The Super Soldier WASNT intended to combat evil over seas...it was supposed to be a MUTANT/META HUMAN HUNTER!!....the governments "anti mutant" agenda is as strong as it ever was...and MysTech offered their funding and resources to give them an easy way out and make it look like they had no official involvement.

Haleigh HAS to have known about this, that is why she keeps such a close eye on Cameron King. He's a mutant.....Alexis is a meta human. They would be PRIME TARGETS.

Alycia is stronger than she looks...despite being Human...she's smart and fast on her feet...its fortunate that she survived and Sharon will too. But now, we face a daunting task. Eliminating a creature that is by all descriptions ...INDESTRUCTIBLE.

Its all coming to gether for me now..i see it CLEARLY as i couldnt before!


The government couldnt hope to control him...only MysTech's mage Imagiomg possesed the power to keep him in check...but he's dead...we disposed of him and when Foxfire was held captive....after she caused the meltdown of the power grid in the Citdale....the night we FIRST came together to save her.....the Super Soldier was one of the "bio hazards" that escaped the Bio Systems Lab!

The government KNEW he was on the loose...so did MysTech but they ALSO knew that he would catch up to us....Alycia just happened to get in the way!
