A Weekend Affair # 1 - The Great White Reception

Holy hell this place gave her a headache. Literally. It was so fucking blue.

Brienne finished off four flutes of hemlock, waving for another nonchalantly as she pulled herself onto one of the stools deciding to station herself there. If anyone wanted to talk to her they would have to come to her. Fuck mingling with these cunts. The bartender slid her hemlock over and that's when Brienne finally looked over at the man that had been staring at her for roughly two minutes straight. She smirked, her icy blue eyes roaming down his body before finally lifting to meet with his eyes again. She tilted her flute of hemlock in his direction, offering him some.

"Care for a taste?"

Would she mention the fact she was drinking a liquid poisonous to anyone other than witches and seemingly Ava Cassadine? Eh, what was the fun in that?

Savage: Hey Lady! That guy bothering you?

A deep voice rose above all others causing her to look over her shoulder with annoyance only to see the long haired back woods American Red Rook looking at her.

"Lady?"

Brienne slowly spun her chair around to face the Red Rook and Bishop, her eyes narrowed into a deadly glare. Multiple deaths flashed through her mind in that moment. She could break her own neck, slit herown throat, or maybe stab herself in the femoral artery with the knife the bartender used to cut fruit with. All of which would kill the Rook instantly. But alas, she had to play nice. If she killed the Red Rook only three hours into their stay, it'd likely piss everyone off.

The Red Bishop was now approaching, his eyes trained on the man who was staring at her. Was he trying to be a hero? How darling. Brienne could see why Heidi was so infatuated with him....or so she heard.

Jack: "I don't think we've met."

Brienne shifted her eyes to Maxim, a salacious smirk tugging on the corners of her lips. Now this was entertaining. Or maybe it was her forth glass of hemlock and the coke kicking it. Fuck, it was better than nothing. And if she could fuck with Heidi's lover in the process? Even better. Placing her hand on Jack's shoulder, Brienne slid off her barstool standing between the men.

"I'm sure he's not worth meeting."

Brienne placed her flute of hemlock next to Maxim and gave him a wink before turning to Jack.

"Come. Walk with me."

Brienne began to walk arm and arm with Jack to the glass wall that looked into the Aqua Ring.

"Tell me, Jack. Are octopus the only pus you're interested in?"

Brienne grinned.

"Asking for a friend."

The Aquarius Lounge

They made their way together into the lounge, with the desired effect, Ashley thought. Strong, unified, warriors. That was the Red Court brand.

"Well done all. I think we've given them something to think about."

She was looking around her, deciding that the decor was chic, even if it was white, and would make a good impression. Especially as it highlighted the creatures of the Aqua Ring, which her Bishop was instrumental in creating.

"Now the real fun begins. Who should we approach first..."

"AJ, why don't you go and get your Queen and King something to drink."

Ashley resisted the urge to roll her eyes. Alek knew very well that their Knight was not a gopher, that there were servers all over the damn place itching to bring them drinks. Whose job it was to know what kind of drink they liked and bring it to them without asking. Jack offered to go along thankfully, and she put a hand on each of their arms and gave them a little squeeze of thanks. And then she was alone once again with Alek.

"Was that really necessary?"

Alek smiled at her, a little too pleased with himself for something so stupid.

Alek: "Yes, I think it was."

But thankfully, he didn't force them to discuss it further, and instead launched into business. Business, she could handle.

Alek said:
"You handle Liam & Juliette. I saw him eyeing you at dinner. I'll feel out Archer, see if he's worth our time."

Her eyes found Archer Fairchild for a split second, before landing on Liam Forbes and staying there.

"Ava says he's a little wannabe."

Alek: "Yeah, well, Ava's not the most reliable of sources. Archer's a decent guy. And he has weapons we could use."

It was true. The Red Court dealt in mercenaries, and mercenaries needed weapons. Then she felt Alek staring at her, like a schoolmaster staring down a naughty pupil. She despised that look. She turned to meet his gaze, arching an eyebrow at him.

Alek said:
"Don't forget why we're here. My Queen."

His lips kissed her cheek, which she couldn't help but feel was mockery.

"I know my duty, Alek. Don't worry, I'll take care of Liam."

He took his beer from Savage without a word and sauntered over to Archer. She turned her attention to Savage, and accepted the glass of whisky from him with a smile and thank you. And then her eyes fell onto the Black Princess.

"Oh, HELL no."

She was wearing red, to a Club event, with visiting royalty from the European Club attending. Normally, she would have gone right over there and ripped the dress from her body, and she still might. Instead, she leaned towards Savage.

"I need to speak to Liam and Juliette, but I won't subject you to her presence, my wolf. I need you to keep your eyes and ears open for any signs of trouble tonight. But first, inform the Black Princess that she's improperly dressed for this event and she should change before her Queen sees her. If Ava notices, we're likely to have a dead Black Princess on our hands."

Normally, not an issue, but if the Black Queen murdered her own princess tonight it would not reflect favorably on the state of Club. She intertwined her fingers with his and gave his hand a squeeze, a mischievous smile playing on her lips, as she fixed him with a sultry gaze.

"I'll be very grateful to you."

She let go of his hand but made sure to brush by him as she left to make her way towards where the Euro White King and Queen were sitting. Amanda was leaving the table. That was good: the Black Court hadn't seen fit to have their Queen approach their guests first. That gave Red an advantage. Ashley slinked up to the table, locking eyes with first Juliette, then Liam. When she arrived, she sat down with a smile, not waiting to be asked. She made sure to cross her legs at the knee, ensuring that the high slit of her dress was showing off her legs to their best advantage.

"Tell me the truth: don't you get a little bit tired of all white? Red is such a more amorous color, don't you think?"

The two of them were quite a pair, both incredibly sexy, and both powerful. Some said the White Queen was less so, but Ashley had her doubts. She had charmed the European Club into revolution, and that was something. She fixed her gaze on Liam.

"I must admit, when my Bishop told me that the White King of the London Branch was a physicist, you were not at all what I pictured."

The Aqua Velvet Room

Maxim motioned to the bartender for another double. Ava hadn't had a moment alone since he'd arrived, and pretty soon he was going to have to go make his presence felt, or risk some asshole going home with his bonus. But for now, there was an incredibly sexy woman standing next to him at the bar. He didn't know who she was, other than she was one of the Europeans, but she was smoking hot. He enjoyed the view of her while he sipped his whiskey. Finally, she noticed him, and gave him a little eye fuck in return. Then she tilted her glass towards him.

"Care for a taste?"

He leaned towards her, giving his most charming smile.

"I'd rather eat something."

His tongue moistened his bottom lip as he took another appreciate glance down her body.

Savage: Hey Lady! That guy bothering you?

"Were we just transported to a deep South redneck bar?"

With these mutants, you never knew. He looked for the source of the yelling, and it was a guy who looked like he'd found a red suit in a dumpster and thrown it on. And then a second guy approached him. Now he understood why they color coded everything around this place. Otherwise, you'd never be able to tell one douchebag from the next.

Neptune said:
"I don't think we've met."

Maxim raised his glass.

"Nope."

Brienne said:
"I'm sure he's not worth meeting."

She'd slid off her barstool, but as she was setting her glass down she winked at him.

"I'm escorting Ava Cassadine to this soiree, but I'm sure I could make time for you. Lady."

He chuckled to himself as she walked away, then looked for Ava again. Damn, where had she gone? Oh well, time to drink more.

The Aquarius Lounge

Steel had a bad feeling. He didn't like Archer getting into it with Ava, so he went over there to pull her away. Plus he wanted to clear the air. But she put him aside with a nod.

"Give me five minutes, John. Mr. Reed here owes me a drink."

Blown off for Daniel Reed? Who didn't even bother to acknowledge him? Having Helena's lackey there concerned Steel, especially when he was in close proximity to the woman who had given the order to take Helena's head. For him to take Helena's head. And now he was left standing next to Archer, the man stealing from his Queen.

"Don't worry, mate. She blew me off too..."

Yes, exactly.

Archer leaned in to smell him, and Steel thought no wonder people found him offputting.

Archer said:
"Aqua di Gio? It's nice."

"Thank you."

Now I just need someone to save me.

Which he found in the person of the Red King, something he never thought would have happened. Of course these two would be friends. Luckily Ben also arrived at that moment, so he was able to step away from the two Kings. He was sure that was a conversation he had no interest in hearing.

[to John] "I better be getting a raise for this, Johnny boy."

"You're the one who used to date her."

Ben said:
"You look damn dapper, tonight, my good man."

"Thanks, but I can't seem to get anyone's attention but yours, mate."

Ben said:
"So, how is the Black Court faring so far, you think?"

"Well, so far, our visitors have been angling to talk with Ava, so that's good. Amanda has already touched base with the European White King and Queen. I'm sure Ava will want to speak to them also. That leaves the visiting Red Queen."

He saw Ava, then, finally alone. She gave him a look to let him know to find her when he was done with Ben. That was promising, at least.

"You need to make sure Cassandra doesn't embarrass us tonight, Ben - we'll handle the rest of it."

The Hellfire Club - - Aquarius

Heidi: Many thanks, My Queen. You — and My King — have given me great pleasure tonight.

The White Knight replied, as Haleigh watched the sea creature simpering at her husband. Oh yes, Haleigh knew all about the pleasure Her King had given Heidi earlier. Cameron didn’t bother keeping secrets, and after Oracle had gotten the system up and running again, she’d watched the feed from the study herself.

“Alright, don’t make me jealous.”

She warned. Zach was quick to jump in.

Zach: La mia bellissima regina, Io sono quella con la gelosia stasera. A volte mi fai desiderare di essere tuo marito.

[My beautiful queen, I am the one with jealousy tonight. Sometimes you make me want to be your husband.]

He made her smile, even if she knew Cameron’s eyes were probably rolling into the back of his head.

“I see your charm is turned up to eleven. Maybe later I’ll be able to properly thank you for all the hard work you’ve been doing for us.”

She said, and then she started to glance around to see who was where. Her gaze landed on Bishop.

Who invited the fucking hitman?!

She wondered. He was a useful henchman, but infuriating as well. An asshole of the highest caliber, she wanted simultaneously to kill him and to fuck him. It was absurd, that he was so attractive, despite being so cocky. But he had irresistible masculine sex appeal, and he was resilient, resourceful, rough. He might have fit right in here, if he wasn’t a flatscan. The spa package at Kelly’s Body Shoppe would do him a great deal of good. Maybe that could be arranged. Haleigh was about to chase him off herself, but then the Red Bishop was there, whisking the Voodoo Queen off to a quieter corner. Haleigh’s gaze locked with Cameron’s.

Let’s stop by and talk to the EWC.

She thought, and they headed that way, with Zach and Heidi still trailing behind, and no sign of Gia.

Nefaria is REALLY trying my patience today. WHERE is she? I wish you could zap her muddled little mind, and get her BACK in line.

She mentally told Cameron. Gia’s psi screen had been a gift from Malice, and it was a constant frustration to Haleigh and Cameron. Her mother’s last laugh, it seemed. Eventually Cameron would crack it, though. Haleigh could hardly wait. They were at the European’s table right as Cobra slithered away.

“Liam. We look forward to discussing business with you this weekend. Juliette. I hope you enjoyed your meal, My Rook went to great lengths to find someone to your tastes.”

Juliette: Ah yes. She vas a sveet treat. I deed appricee-ate ‘er freshness. And Zah-kairee ‘as been most ackommoh-dateeng dzus far.

“Excel—”

Erika’s screeching voice cut her off. Haleigh’s head swiveled slowly on her neck, a sharp glare in the direction of her sister-in-law, who was fake-complimenting Cameron. Haleigh wanted to snatch the little tiara right off the insufferable tryhard’s skull and cram it down her throat, but Zach’s hand was suddenly on the back of her neck, calming her down. She forced a saccharine smile.

“Erika.... you’re back in town... What a nice surprise....”

She lied, and then Erika acted like she hadn’t realized what an inconsiderate cunt she was being, interrupting them as she had. She asked Zach for help finding the bar, and graciously, he dove on the grenade.

Zach: Oh it’d be my pleasure....

He was such a dutiful Rook, and he had Haleigh’s immense gratitude for it. When Haleigh turned back to Juliette and Liam, she found the Red Queen had seized the opportunity to slide in at the table while Cameron and Haleigh were distracted by Erika. Haleigh was fairly surprised that Ashley wasn’t in Liam’s lap already.

“Well, Liam, Juliette. Cameron and I won’t monopolize your attention tonight, I’m sure you’d like to make other friends while you’re here. There will be plenty of time to talk about our plans over the weekend. Enjoy the party, and welcome to Hellfire America.”

She said smoothly, and then she glanced at her husband.

The White Court will be in high demand, but they know we’re the ones to pursue a partnership with. Let’s go see if the Fairy Queen is good for anything more than flitting about looking pretty.

Hellfire Club – The Aquarius Lounge

:: Mere seconds after arriving, The Imposter couldn’t wait to drop her. However, he DID escort her to BOTH the dinner and the main event, something that she wasn’t expecting, so he got bonus points for that. He told her that she should go and talk to Bretta and when she gripped his hand in fear, he had promised her that he’d be back later. So he left and she looked over at Bretta, who looked delighted at the sight of her. ::

Bretta: “Cassandra! What a lovely surprise. Don’t you look stunning?”

:: Cass slowly made her way over, and took the bar stool next to the ERQ. She nodded to her dress. ::

“You look MORE than stunning, Your Majesty.”

Bretta: *laughing*: “Please, Cassandra. Call me Bretta.”

:: Cass smiled and bit of the playful spark showed up in her reply. ::

“Only, if you call me Cass.”

:: She saw that Bretta was drinking wine, but she didn’t know if she should even have alcohol, so, in the end, she did order a glass of white wine after all. Just the one glass, though. She HATED these kinds of parties. She didn’t know how to maneuver her way through them without setting off an explosion. It never used to be like this. Before she had been driven almost to the point of insanity [if she wasn’t there already], Cass used to love these kind of gatherings. She could hobknob and party with the best of them. She danced and she laughed and she had a GREAT time with her friends, her Court, and the other Court members. But Kelly had taken that away from her. Kelly had taken EVERYTHING away from her. Now she didn’t know who to talk to, she didn’t know what to say, she always felt as if she was wearing the wrong outfit…she just didn’t want to be here tonight. ::

*sadly*: I don’t know these people anymore.

:: She took a quick look around the room. ::

I want to die.

:: She felt movement as Bretta got off of her stool. Did she somehow offend the ERQ? Ava, The Imposter, and her Ben will not be happy. Then she felt Bretta’s hand go underneath her elbow, guiding her off the stool as well. Bretta didn’t let go when Cass was off the stool. Cass looked up into Bretta’s green eyes, warm and friendly. ::

Bretta: *compassionate*: “How about we go into one of the private lounge areas behind me, Cass, and we can talk. Would that make you feel better?”

:: Cass smiled in her direction and gathered the skirt of her dress together when she noticed that the Red Knight, AJ, Cass thought his name was, coming towards them. Instantly Cass was filled with terror and gripped Bretta’s arm in the process. ::

“I don’t think we’ve met.”

Jack told the man leering at Brienne Shaw. It was supposed to be a hint, but the guy wasn’t bright enough to catch it. ‘Nope’ was all he had to say, and then Brienne was reaching for his shoulder, and saying the man wasn’t worth meeting. She asked him to walk with her, and so he did, offering his arm and an apology, just to be safe.

“Please excuse our impetuous Red Knight, Your Grace. He’s a great warrior, but not a particularly good tactician.”

He said, as they walked past the glass wall of tank three. It was a vast aquarium, and as close to a natural environment as possible. Number Six swam by, casting a great shadow across the room, making it dim where they were. Jack looked to see the stitches were holding.

Hex: Tell me, Jack. Are octopus the only pus you’re interested in? Asking for a friend.

“No, Your Majesty.”

He replied placidly.

“I find the Platypus to be quite intriguing as well.”

He continued, and then he spotted Heidi, with the ever-opportunistic Zach. Jack’s instinct was to abandon Brienne, but he knew he shouldn’t. He peeled his eyes off the woman he wanted to be with, and focused his attention back on the woman he was actually with.

“I take it your friend is as fascinated by marine life as I am.”

He said, unskilled at small talk. But most women, if you could just get them started, would do all the talking, and then he could just ‘mmm.’ And ‘ah...’ and keep them going. Heidi had been one of the few with whom he could actually have an intelligent conversation, one that was not filled to the brim with frivolous subjects. Ashley was another he talk to, and Haleigh, from time to time. But Heidi shared his interests, and they could go on for hours together.

Hellfire Club – The Aquarius Lounge

:: Bretta was in a prime spot for observing. She could see what was going on inside, and she could also see who would be entering. Bretta perked up when she saw that Cassandra had come in, on the arm of the Black Bishop, Benjamin Lewis. The Bishop, however, looked as if he’d have much rather have been anywhere but on the arm of the beautiful woman he had escorted inside and promptly dumped her, pretty much foisting the poor girl onto her for her to babysit. Not that Bretta minded, of course. In that one instant, she had begun to feel very protective of Cassandra and made it her duty to try and help her out. But she also knew that Cassandra should NOT have been allowed to attend. She had the thought that she, herself, would introduce the Princess to her fellow travel companions but then she realized that some of them, quite literally, would eat her alive. ::

:: She greeted Cassandra and waved her over to where she was, complimenting her on her dress. It looked absolutely stunning on her. Cass paid her a compliment and there was more of that dreadful small talk before Bretta decided to take action. She got off of her stool and then helped Cass off of hers. She motioned to a private area just behind her – she noticed that there were lots of them around – and asked Cass if she wanted to join her in one with the hope that the young woman would calm down. Luckily Cass agreed and right as they were about to take leave, Cass gripped her arm in fear as the Red Knight came towards them. Bretta put her mouth to Cass’ ear. ::

*whispers*: ”It’ll be okay. Relax. It will all be okay.”

:: If Cass’ own Court members didn’t care enough about her, Bretta would make damn sure that the young woman was not left alone for another minute. ::

“Let me guess: Arthur John Savage, Red…”

:: She pretended to think, her green eyes narrowing. ::

“…Knight? Am I correct? I haven’t properly introduced myself. I’m Bretta O’Malley, the Red Queen at the European branch.”

:: Bretta held out her other hand, the hand that wasn’t still clutching Cass’ arm. She offered him a smile. ::

“What can we do for you tonight?”

Jack offered his arm to her once suggesting they leave the bar. Smart man.

Jack: “Please excuse our impetuous Red Knight, Your Grace. He’s a great warrior, but not a particularly good tactician.”

Brienne glanced over at Savage, her eyes narrowing. She didn't feel the need to be polite and assure Jack it was okay. It wasn't. They arrived at the wall of glass, Brienne coyly asking him if he was only interested in one type of 'pus'. Namely Heidi.

Jack: “No, Your Majesty. I find the Platypus to be quite intriguing as well.”

"Uh huh...."

Jack's eyes were glued to something - or someone - behind her. Looking over her shoulder, of course it would be Heidi. Brienne brought her attention back to Jack, her expression far less pleasant than before. He seemed to continue on with the small talk as if he didn't just disrespect her by longing to be anywhere BUT with her.

Jack: “I take it your friend is as fascinated by marine life as I am.”

"No."

Running her tongue along her grey stained lips, Brienne took a step forward, closing the gap between them. Her face was close to his, eyes narrowing a hint as she surveyed his stoic face like picking a lamb for slaughter.

"A word of advice, Bishop. When tasked by their King or Queen to impress a guest.....I suggest making it less obvious you would like to be anywhere but with them."

Brienne brushed past Jack, crossing the room to where Archer and Alek were talking. She didn't feel the need to excuse herself into the conversation.

"Well i'm unimpressed, Archer."

Brienne scoffed as she stole another glass of hemlock from a passing trey. She purposely ignored Red King.

"Not only did the Red Rook shout at me like some commoner from across the room, but the Red Bishop couldn't keep his eyes off the White Knight long enough to pretend to enjoy my company."

Brienne purposely bad mouthing the American Red Court in front of Alek, knowing the Red King was desperate to form an alliance with them due to Archer's mob ties and weapons trade. Brienne finally acknowleged Alek.

"Oh hello, Alek."

She smirked, taking a sip of her hemlock.

"Is this how you allow your court to treat royalty?"

Tilting her head a bit to the side, her smirk turned salacious.

"Or do I need to deal with the royalty directly?"

The flashing lights and the noise of the entryway had been an awful cacophony of disorienting brightness, but Savage handled it stoically, with His Queen at his side. He felt he could do anything when she stood by him. Once in the lounge, AJ’s gaze hunted around to assess the room, the atmosphere. Any threat to his Queen must be removed immediately, and he would remain, faithfully, on high alert.

Alek: AJ, why don’t you go and get your King and Queen something to drink.

The King suggested, interrupting Savage’s scan. He looked back at his King, a hint of amusement in his eyes, though his lips stayed flat.

Little Bear wants to restore his dominance...

Savage thought, with a twitch of a smirk. There was always the struggle, under the surface of their interactions. They couldn’t both be Alpha male, and Savage was never going to stop testing Alek’s authority. One day there would be a fight, likely fatal for the loser. For a beat, there was a stare down, and then Jack jumped in.

Jack: I’ll tag along, AJ. I’m feeling thirsty myself.

He said, breaking the tension. AJ nodded and turned towards the bar. On the walk over, Jack called his attention to some man at the bar, drooling over some woman he’d seen at dinner. AJ shrugged, since he didn’t know the name of the guy. But obviously Jack was concerned about something, so AJ called out.

“Hey Lady, That guy bothering you?”

He asked, without trying to remember who she was from dinner. What did HE care? There was only one Queen in Savage’s world. Jack coughed like he swallowed a bee, and said he’d take care of it. AJ shrugged again, and went to get the drinks from the bar. When he returned with the drinks, the King was leaning in to kiss his Queen. Savage watched him very carefully until he was gone. Ashley took her glass from his hand, and She smiled. He grinned too, for a moment, and then it was back to business, looking for danger.

Ash: Oh HELL no.

“My Queen??”

He replied, following Her gaze to the bar. She said She needed to speak with Liam and the Dead Thing, whose very name raised his hackles. He wanted to drag it out into the wilderness and bury it, but he knew he was not allowed. He steeled himself to be near it, to resist his instincts, so that he could protect his Queen from it. But no. She wanted him to deal with the Black Princess. He could feel the growl rising up in his chest. He was going to protest, he was going to tell Her that there was nothing on earth more important than keeping the Dead Thing away from Her, but She took his hand, locking their fingers together, and Her smile stoked a fire.

Ash: I’ll be very grateful to you.

She said, brushing past him on the way to the White table. AJ stalked through the people towards the Black Princess like he was hunting a deer through the forest. The fear in her eyes provoked the beast within, as he neared them. He dwarfed them both, easily, and probably weighed more than the two of them combined. The tiny faerie was courageous, at least.

Bretta: Let me guess: Arthur John Savage, Red..... Knight? Am I correct?

AJ shifted his predatory glare from Cass to the brave little faerie. He grunted a confirmation. She told him her name, her position, as if he was supposed to remember it, and then asked what ‘they’ could do for him.

You can do nothing for me. YOU....”

He began, his savage stare back on Cass suddenly. She had displeased his Queen, and that was all he needed for aggression.

“Are improperly dressed. You will change, or I will change you.”

Savage:You can do nothing for me. YOU…”

:: Seeing Bretta stand up to the Red Knight made Cass want to be like that as well. It was the first time in a very long time that anybody has protected her like that, and it made her feel powerful. Now that somebody showed that they believed in her, Cass drew strength from Bretta. She straightened her back and looked him full in the face…her eyes turning green as she did so, signaling that she was ready for battle. ::

Savage: “…are improperly dressed. You will change or I will change you.”

:: Suddenly she was sick of all this bullshit. She was sick of cowering, she was sick of being frightened all the time, she was sick of being tired due to an insanely amount of lack of sleep, she was just…sick and tired of being sick and tired. She wanted her life back, but nobody was helping her, nobody was in her corner; nobody except Bretta. Just what, pray tell, should I change into since I have no other dresses with me? was on the tip of her tongue when she felt the European Red Queen pull on her arm. ::

Bretta: “Come along, Cass, and we’ll find you a new dress.”

:: He wasn’t worth it. Her eyes now back to their ice-blue colour, she had one last look at Savage before she allowed herself to be pulled away by Bretta. Without stopping, Bretta opened the door to an empty private room. ::

Bretta: “Please, we would like NO disturbances whatsoever. Thank you.”

:: She told an aide that was standing there before she gently pushed Cass through the doorway, shutting the door behind them and locking it. ::

Jack tried his best to make small talk, but he wasn’t known for his social skills. He was a gifted biologist, on land. In the water he was practically a deity. But here, at a party, despite being surrounded by salt water and the silhouettes of his own creations, he felt very out of place.

The way she spat his title got his attention the way a jelly-fish sting might. When he turned to look at her, she was right in his face, hissing something about advice. Jack was an even-keeled man, but he was not about to accept this disrespect from a little princess who had a crown handed to her. She didn’t realize who she was talking to. She tried brushing past him, but he moved fluidly to block her path, his dark eyes seizing her.

“I was not tasked with impressing you, Miss Shaw.”

He scowled with contempt, and dropped all pretense of politeness.

“Nor was I commanded to grovel at your feet like some impotent serf. I merely intervened to ensure you were not being harassed by that neanderthal at the bar. Do not worry, your britannic highness, it is not a courtesy I will ever extend again.”

He sneered, and she left him with her nose in the air, like she was somehow better than him. Clearly nobody told her, Europe was simply an offshoot of the parent company. She ran off to complain to the King, but Jack completely disregarded her. There was a man talking to Heidi, and Jack was not about to be stolen from.

That’s it - Red Court bows to no one :D

Scotch. It was an excellent poison to enjoy while waiting for your victims to come to you. He had one hand on the low ball glass absently, as he looked around to people watch. Julie noted how popular the American Black Queen was.

"No kidding... Maybe after the novelty has worn off, I'll be able to speak with her about the nukes. "

He replied, lifting his glass to his lips as he watched her talk to Archer. He wanted to present her with the plans for a better bomb. His powers made it easy and intuitive to refine the design, but he was no engineer. If he could team up with the Cassadine corp, he would be well on his way to developing a nuke brand all his own. Julie mentioned that if their Black King did his part, Ava would be primed for the pitch.

"Mm. We'll see. "

He replied, distracted by the arrival of the Red Court. She had a lot of men around her, the Red Queen. He could see why, obviously, she was ethereal. The men of the Red Court simply had no choice but to worship her. He wondered if she was smitten with any of them, or if she was free for his pursuit. In that dress, he was willing to irradiate any of those fools to get to her.

Julie: I vill enchant dze Shark doctor, eef you vill veen o-vair dze Red Queen.

He liked that plan, since it put him and the beautiful Nord on a collision course.

"It'll be my pleasure."

He replied, as a woman approached them. She spoke French, which pleased Juliette, but Liam was not far enough along in his study to understand what she'd said.

"Fantastic. Here I thought you'd be the one struggling with American colloquialisms. Turns out I should have finished my French Rosetta-Stone course."

He commented, somewhat bitterly.

Amanda: It's a pleasure to finally meet your acquaintance. Tell me, what do you think of your stay here in the mansion so far. I hope it is up to your standards.

Julie: Eet 'as been most splindeed so far. The Vite Rook 'as been ez-pecially accomodateeng...

Gag. The little pony is NOT that impressive. Yet all the women swoon.

Amanda: Zachary is not one for dating, your highness. He prefers to keep himself available to many avenues of pleasure, at least from what I've gleamed. But I may not be the highest authority on a man like Zachary...I tend to prefer my men a little more..rough around the edges..

"Oh REALLY??"

He asked, but the Black Knight was looking at Julie quite intently. She began her goodbyes.

Amanda: It has been a pleasure to meet you...King Liam.

She said, extending her hand, which he took, and kissed.

Amanda: Queen Juliette. I am sure you will enjoy the white court..Until we meet again...

She said, and then the American White Queen was right on her heels. Liam took the time to check her out, but it was a guilty pleasure. The woman was so clearly wedded to her husband that he truly didn't think it was worth the bother. If they were partners, it would be strictly business, he assumed. Haleigh mentioned looking forward to business deals, and made some comment about dinner which prompted Julie's gracious thanks. All was going well, until some incomparably loud girl showed up. The Americans turned to handle their black sheep, and suddenly the Red Queen was sitting down. Liam's undivided attention went to her. Even the way she sat in the chair next to him was sexy. The slit in her dress went nearly up to her hip.

Ash: Tell me the truth: don't you get a little bit tired of all white? Red is such a more amorous color, don't you think?

Liam smirked at her, sipping the last of his scotch.

"I do now."

Ash: I must admit, when my Bishop told me that the White King of the London Branch was a physicist, you were not at all what I pictured.

He guffawed at her implication.

"I could venture a hypothesis. Rimless Glasses. Pocket Protector. Penny Loafers. Maybe even some suspenders."

He shifted in his seat, leaning more in her direction now.

"Well, is it a pleasant surprise, Your Grace? I hope so, because I find you so much more delectable than you predecessor, and I'll be quite stricken to find you're disappointed in the reality of me."

Ashley smirked. It was just like Haleigh to try and get the first word in. But Ashley was confident she would have the last. She liked Haleigh, and the three queens had a bond much tighter than their predecessors. But that didn't mean they weren't going to try and one up each other. Plus Haleigh could have Cameron. And Alek. This one here was much more up Ashley's alley.

She sat down next to Liam, showing lots of leg, and seeing that he appreciated it. She commented on how they must get tired of white clothes, white rooms, white everything - red being the color of amour. Liam told her he liked red now, and she gave him a predatory smile. He was hooked already, and she knew it. She admitted to him that he hadn't been what she'd pictured.

"I could venture a hypothesis. Rimless Glasses. Pocket Protector. Penny Loafers. Maybe even some suspenders."

Her body was turned towards him, and she saw him shift to turn more to her. She reached up and touched her chest absentmindedly with her index finger.

"It might have been something along those lines. But I'm pretty sure if anyone could pull that look off, it would be you."

She smiled seductively.

Liam said:

She leaned forward and placed her hand on his arm.

"I saw at dinner that you were interested in my Bishop's research. I'm sure he'd be happy to give you a tour of the Aqua Ring. And you as well, Juliette, if it interests you. The thing about Archer was: Alek didn't have to try and impress him, or be the perfect diplomat for the Club. Which was not to say that he gave anything away he didn't want to, but it was like taking a giant gulp of air after holding his breath around all the other people in the room. If Archer was a snob, it was because, like Alek, he had earned it. Unless so many of the people around them, who had been born to it. And then there was the fact that it would piss Ava off to see him friendly with Archer.

Alek mused about how it was too bad someone as hot as Ava was such a bitch.

"It shall make the conquest all the more worth it."

"I don't know about that - you're welcome to her, man. But be careful: she might bite your dick off."

He clasped Archer on the shoulder. The Black Rook and Bishop were deep in conversation, so the two of them moved away so they could speak more freely.

Archer said:
"Eh, what am I saying. I like 'em a bit easier than that."

Alek smirked.

"Smart move."

Archer said:
"Speaking of. The old ball and chain arrives with The Red Knight on her arm? What's up her ass this time? Or who I guess is the more imperative question."

"Who isn't would be easier."

Alek rolled his eyes and took another drink, scoffing.

"You know how it is - she won't accept that it's over. And also apparently, I was supposed to walk her from her room to the party. So now she has to prove that she doesn't want me. When, of course, she does. You know, I used to think she wasn't like other women, that she didn't go in for all their usual bullshit, but she's just the same as the rest of them."

He did notice that Ashley was already seducing Liam. Excellent.

"Though Ashley knows how to put personal feelings aside and do what's best for our Court, I will give her that."

Archer said:
"Though who I am to talk. My Queen makes Hitler look like just a guy who wanted to paint pretty pictures."

Alek grinned.

"But when she looks like that."

Archer said:
"Please tell me you have something fun going on this place...and maybe a little something fun for me to enjoy?"

Alek feigned insult, touching his hand to his chest as if wounded.

"Have I ever let you down? They didn't do away with all the dungeons when they made this place. I have an assortment of goods ready and waiting for your entertainment.

And then suddenly Archer’s Queen was there between them, the aforementioned sexy Hitler.

”Well I’m unimpressed, Archer. Not only did the Red Rook shout at me like some commoner from across the room, but the Red Bishop couldn't keep his eyes off the White Knight long enough to pretend to enjoy my company."

Now, it wasn’t Alek first dance. And he knew better than to take Brienne at her word. Which was not to say he wouldn't be have a very pointed conversation with his Knight and Bishop. But despite any current differences he was having with Savage, he knew his Court. And he also knew Black Queen was crazier than a bag of cats. And his personal view was that this was just another European pretension.

Brienne said:
"Oh hello, Alek."

"Hello, Brienne. Don't you look beautiful this evening."

Alek smiled, his disdain for her rudeness nowhere on his face.

Brienne said:
"Is this how you allow your court to treat royalty? Or do I need to deal with the royalty directly?"

"Why would you deal with anyone else?"

He gave her another charming smile and moved closer to her. She really was amazingly beautiful.

"My Knight and Bishop are nowhere near appropriate company for a woman such as yourself, so of course I made sure they would bring you to me. And now they have."

He moistened his bottom lip as he leveled a hungry gaze at her.

"Now, what shall we do together?"

Zach was the workhorse of the White Court, today. His King and Queen had been preparing for this event for weeks, and there was no way Zach was going to let that go to ruin. In the limo, Gia focused on the European Red Court members, and paid little attention to anyone else, so naturally Zach’s original plan was abandoned. It made little difference, really. He was hospitable, and charming. Diplomatic and charismatic. He made drinks and jokes, and subtle passes at all the European Queens. And with his empathic influence, he relaxed them all from the stresses of their travels.

Back at home, where there were others to help attend the European delegates, Zach was able to focus on the White Court. There wasn’t much more he could do with Liam, but Juliette was clearly receptive. And then at dinner, Zach took care of the vampire’s meal, winning her over even more. He also tried catching the European Black Queen’s eyes, but she seemed quite disinterested in everything and everyone. There was the Red Faerie too, but she had already picked out who she was focused on, and Zach wasn’t one of them. It was fine. He’d done his part, and done well.

For the party he was going to escort Heidi. His King and Queen had made it very clear to him that Heidi was not to be neglected this weekend. With the Europeans here, she was expected to be wound up, and they were going to make sure she felt their appreciation. He may not have been bedding her anymore, but Zach still liked Heidi, as a friend and partner in crime. He knew if a fight went down, he could trust her to watch his back, and he knew she was intensely loyal to Haleigh and Cameron. He had custom earrings made for her, platinum octopuses, which he knew she’d love. He straightened his paisley bow tie before knocking on her door, and then he convinced her to allow him to escort her.

Once inside the party, they paused as a group to speak for a moment. Zach realized Gia was not here, but he didn’t call attention to that fact. He wasn’t interested in stirring up trouble right now, not when they were so close to pulling it all of without a hitch. He smoothed over a moment of sexual tension by seizing the opportunity to compliment his Queen. Cameron and Haleigh led the way to the table where Liam and Juliette sat. Heidi and Zach followed, with Zach pouring calm into the White Knight.

Then the unexpected happened, though Zach noticed Cameron and Heidi were not surprised. Cameron’s sister, the bewitching Erika King, arrived like the natural disaster she was. Hurricane Erika, a Category 5 super storm. Zach felt his pulse race as she neared. Haleigh’s pulse quickened as well, but for a different reason. Zach reached for his Queen to calm her down, as Erika greeted them all with aplomb.

Erika: Where is the bar in this place? Could you help me find it?

“Oh it’d be my pleasure...

He said, offering his arm to her with a growing grin. He could help her find his bed, too. For now, the bar. They headed that way, as Daniel Reid took over with Heidi. Zach walked, but he could barely keep his eyes off Erika.

“My Gods, you look radiant, Erika. Please say you’ll be in town for more than just one night.”

Brienne went to brush by Jack when he stepped in front of her once again. She ran her thumb along her ring, the amethyst stone beginning to glow brightly until her entire hand ignited with witchfire. The little merman was about to be char broiled.

Jack: “I was not tasked with impressing you, Miss Shaw.”

"Funny. Then why were we invited to this God forsaken shit hole, Bishop?"

Jack: “Nor was I commanded to grovel at your feet like some impotent serf. I merely intervened to ensure you were not being harassed by that neanderthal at the bar. Do not worry, your britannic highness, it is not a courtesy I will ever extend again.”

Her icy eyes glimmered as she smirked deviously, the witchfire flaming out as she lifted her hand to Jack's face, tracing one of her oval shaped black lacquer nails along his cheek roughly before pushing his face away.

"If you think I need rescuing from anyone? Then you clearly have no idea who the FUCK you're dealing with. Step in my way again and your Queen will be looking for a new Bishop by evening's end."

Brienne roughly pushed past Jack and crossed the room, approaching Alek and Archer who were having a conversation. She didn't care if they were talking business or who's pussy they were going to destroy next. She cut in, telling Archer that the Red Court were rude little pricks and that she was overall unimpressed. Her eyes shifted to the Red King, smiling cheekily at him as if she didn't just bad mouth half his court.

Brienne: "Hello, Brienne. Don't you look beautiful this evening."

"I always look beautiful."

She flippantly responded, unimpressed by Alek's attempt at being suave. She grabbed a flute of hemlock from a passing tray. Taking a sip, she asked him if this was how his court treated royalty, or was he hoping to deal with her directly.

Brienne: "Why would you deal with anyone else? My Knight and Bishop are nowhere near appropriate company for a woman such as yourself, so of course I made sure they would bring you to me. And now they have."

"Mmmmm....you're smooth, full of shit, but smooth. I appreciate that."

She smiled, this time with less hostility and murderous intent. He was tall, handsome, and filled out a suit well. And he certainly did have a reputation as a man who could fuck the hell out of a woman. Downing her hemlock in one gulp, Brienne placed the empty glass on the table next to them and licked the poison off her lips.

Brienne: "Now, what shall we do together?"

"If you have to ask that, i'm beginning to question your reputation."

She countered with a salacious smile. Brienne ran her delicate hand down Alek's buttoned suit jacket, her ring shining from the white lights. The Red King may have entered with his court unified, but he didn't enter with his Queen, and that was quite telling. Her fingers grazed his belt as her icy eyes remained locked with his. She was no fool and knew Alek was working his best plays, but that didn't mean Brienne couldn't show him what a REAL Queen could do. Perhaps another coup within the American Red Court was in order. Alek as the sole ruler would be extremely beneficial to both Brienne and Archer.

"But what would your Queen think?"

Hellfire Mansion - Aquarius Lounge

Haleigh: "Tonight may be the welcoming party for the Europeans, but even more, it's a celebration of you. They were FOOLS to diminish you, My Knight, and we will make sure they realize their mistake. If ANY of them dares to disrespect you, kill them. I don't mind go to war."

Cameron smirked.

"My Queen..please, enough with the bedroom talk. We're in public."

Heidi: "Many thanks, My Queen. You--"

Her eyes met with The White King's, lingering for a moment.

Heidi: "And My King - have given me great pleasure tonight."

He could still taste her sweetness on his lips. And of course, his perfect Knight had of course said the perfect things.

"And for many nights to come."

Haleigh: "Alright, don't make me jealous."

The White King kissed his wife's cheek, and squeezed her hand.

"Ah, but I love it when you get trigger happy."

Zach: "La mia bellissima regina, Io sono queela con la gelosia stasera. A volte mi fai desiderare di essere tuo marito."

Cameron laughed and shaked his head. At first he had been unsure of Zach's presence in The Inner Circle, let alone his White Rook. But he had his benefits. He was gorgeous, and after several months, Cameron realized that there was not a single person on Earth that Zachary Armani could not have if he wanted, which was both powerful and dangerous. So he kept a close eye on the man, but he did enjoy watching him work so to speak.

Haleigh: "I see your charm is turned up to eleven. Maybe later I'll be able to properly thank you for all the hard work you've been doing for us."

"Only if I get to watch."

Haleigh's words filled his mind.

Haleigh: "Let's stop by and talk to the EWC."

Cameron nodded, letting his wife take the lead.

Haleigh: "Nefaria is REALLY trying my patience today. WHERE is she? I wish you could zap her muddled little mind, and get her BACK in line."

"There are other forms of discipline I can employ. She misstepps one more time and I will break her like a horse."

The White Court made their way over to their European counterparts, just as Cobra slithered away and Ashley had arrived. He was curious of The Red Queen's intentions this weekend. She was a strong, passionate woman, and her and Alek still had managed to rule their court with an iron fist together, despite the fact that it seemed as if they hated each other. They seemed to be in the opposite situation as Haleigh and Cameron right now, and despite his best attempt, he did feel a bit for her. Ashley would never tarnish the name of the court, but Cameron would make sure he touched base with her this evening.

Ashley: "I must admit, when my Bishop told me that the White King of the London Branch was a physicist, you were not at all what I pictured."

Or perhaps the EWK would be the one touching bases with The Red Queen this evening? He spoke to Ashley in her mind.

[to Ashley] "Save a few moments this evening for your own White King, would you?"

He ndded in her direction.

Haleigh countered.

Haleigh: "Liam. We look forward to discussing business with you this weekendd. Juliette. I hope you enjoyed your meal, My Rook went to great lengths to find someone to your tastes."

Juliette: "Ah yes. She vas a sveet treat. I dee aprricee-ate 'er freshness. And Zah-kairee 'as been most ackommoh-dateeng dzus far."

"That's what he's here for, Juliette."

Haleigh: "Excel--"

His blood ran COLD as the shrieking proclamations of his sister steamrolled her way into the room.

"How did I not SENSE her?!"

Erika: "CAMERON! Oh! Cameron! How LOVELY it is to see you!"

Rage welled up inside of him. He KNEW that she was going to show up, but when she had not arrived to dinner, and his MOTHER seemed all but absent this evening, he assumed that the two of them had decided to ruin somebody ELSE'S evening, and then he remembered, they were both KINGS, and KINGS never missed an opportunity to make things uncomfortable.

"Erika."

The two exchanged a cold and fake hug as she moved towards Haleigh, her passive aggressive insult at his wife causing a small flurry of telekinetic power to warble around his hand as he fought the urge to NAIL her to the viewing window of the aquarium and strip her of flesh in front of them all.

Erika: "Oh I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt what I assume to be important court business.."

"Didn't you though?"

Erika: "Where is the bar in this place?"

Her eyes narrowed on Zach.

Erika: "Can you help me find it?"

Zach: "Oh it'd be my pleasure..."

Zachary would be getting whatever he wanted for the foreseeable future from Cameron, that much was to be said, but he would NOT let his sister's PETULANCE go unpunished.

Haleigh: "Well, Liam, Juliette. Cameron and I won't monopolize your attention tonight, I'm sure you'd like to make other friends while you're here. There will be plenty of time to talk about our plans over the weekend. Enjoy the party, and welcome to Hellfire America."

Cameron composed himself and rose his glass.

"Our home is your home."

Haleigh: "The White Court will be in high demand, but they know we're the ones to pursue a partnership with. Let's go see if the Fairy Queen is good for anything more than flitting about looking pretty."

Cameron was preoccuppied as his mind reached out for Erika, ready to PSI BLAST her into inifity for her treachery. He FLEXED his power towards her...only to find a WALL. Somehow...someway..Erika had developed a PSI Screen. She had never been much of a witch..but it was CLEAR that she had been up to something that would likely not bode well for Cameron. He would not bother his wife with this. His eyes went over to The Euro Red Queen who was slipping into a private lounge with The Black Princess, which unnerved him.

[to Haleigh] "It appears The Red Queen has found herself infatuated with Cassandra. And we have YET to resolve the issue between between our Bishop and The Black Princess."

His eyes scanned the room. For the first time it appeared that Ava wa alone, and she was leaving the main area, for reasons unknown :garrick: .

[to Haleigh] "Let's get our affairs in order..and see where Ava's head is at."

Bishop's presence had not gone unnoticed. Haleigh might have not connected the dots, but he had. If Bishop was at this party, it was because Ava had invited him. And if Ava had invited him, it meant she had an itch that needed to be scratched. Cameron and Ava were quite close. They helmed daily operations for the club. They spent a lot of time together. He knew her, and The Black Queen liked to deal with her issues by fucking. He looked back at his sister and Zach at the bar.

[to Zach] "My Rook. My sister is up to something. In the midst of seducing her, find out what you can. I shall make it worth your while."

At that moment, The Red Bishop of HE came up to Heidi, requesting her presence. Cameron nodded to the two of them.

"The Queen and I have certain matters to take care of. Please, Heidi. Go. Enjoy yourself. Make them BEG for you to return to London."

He kissed her cheek and stroked her face.

"But do not stray too far..."

Cameron and Haleigh made their way through the lounge and towards the room where Ava was waiting. He hoped she would still be clothed.

"Ava..needing a moment for yourself so soon? How..unlike you. Unless..."

Ava grabbed her hand and began joking kissing up her arm.

"You are about to make sweet passionate LOVE to somebody!"

He interlocked his fingers with his wife as he took a sip of his drink.

"I hope we are not intruding, but we'd like to discuss a few things before the weekend goes any further. It's about our Bishop...and your Princess. And their filthy mouths."

Hellfire Mansion

The evening was going as expected. He had made a light connection with The Black Queen, one that he sensed would be cultivated by the end of this evening. He would make sure to link up with the other queens before the weekend's end, but for now, he had a gift to give and an apology to make. As he closed the distance between himself and Heidi Scarborough, his mind began to wander a bit.

Heidi and Daniel came from the same stock. An upper social echelon the likes of which many did not know. They essentially grew up in a non-mutant version of the Hellfire Club. They were bred to say the right things, make the right choices, and position themselves properly. Hellfire had been an easy fit for both of them. In their early years, Heidi and Daniel were quite close friends. But the exhausting social maneuvering of Hellfire Europe often pitted them against each other, and the bitter rivalry between queens had forced a wedge in between them. Daniel wasn't a man of many regrets, but he did regret that he did not convince Heidi to stay. The details of her departure were still a mystery to him. Camille loved her so much, and Camille didn't love anything besides the ballet, the opera, and prescription pills. The only person in Heidi's way was Juliette.

Then the rebellion happened. While the two were often put at odds, they normally agreed on strategy, and while he had come out of the war standing strong, it had not been as easily won as it would have been with Fathom leading the charge. He missed her, and now that she was The White Knight on the American branch, he viewed it as an opportunity to move himself forward, and extend an olive branch.

Carefully approached the AWC, bowing before them, before delicately grabbing Heidi by the hand.

"Do you have a few moments for an old friend?"

[looking at Haleigh and Cameron]

"If it is alright with the King and Queen of course."

Cameron gave some speech about her showing the London Branch how much they were missing out on. He wanted to roll his eyes, but he did not. Mostly because he agreed with The White King. Daniel looked around for a moment.

"I know this scenery is right up your alley, but might we get a bit of fresh air? The conservatory?"

The two of them left the lounge, and made their ascent towards the upper levels of the mansion, before heading into the conservatory, sitting at the very bench where Ben and Ava had sat earlier in the day. There was an uncomfortable silence for a moment.

"I've missed you, Heidi..."

He mindlessly watched the koi fish swimming around.

"You do seem..a lot happier here. Maybe I should jump ship."

Daniel looked at her eyes.

"Are you...happier here?"

Daniel was not interested in women in a sexual way, but he still had a way with them. He was approaching her in the most human way that two unemotional wasps from London could muster.

Liam took a stab at how his stereotype went, with some self-deprecating humor.

Ash: It might have been something along those lines. But I'm pretty sure if anyone could pull that look off, it would be you.

The American Red Queen replied, her smile quite salacious. The Vampire at his side leaned in with a conspiratorial smirk.

Julie: Dzere are pho-tographs from his yout vitch proove 'e deed een fact, pull dzat look off, at Ohx-ford Unee-vair-sitee.

Liam shook his head, with a smile, as he lowered his glass of Scotch from his lips.

"Back before I could grow facial hair, you mean. That was the old me. Immortality has its way of changing its victims, but I guess here, I'm preaching to the choir."

Julie: Eendeed.

Liam nodded to Julie, and then turned his attention back to Ashley, who's hand was doing some distracting maneuvering near the low neckline of her dress.

"Well, is it a pleasant surprise, Your Grace? I hope so, because I find you so much more delectable than you predecessor, and I'll be quite stricken to find you're disappointed in the reality of me."

Ash: Well, better not disappoint me then.

Julie's laugh was a melody, as Liam's lips twisted into a smirk.

Julie: Vahl-kyr-ee, My Keeng ees in no vay deesa-point-ing, I can assure you of dzat.

Liam raised his eyebrows suggestively. The Red Queen leaned forward and reached for his arm.

Ash: I saw at dinner that you were interested in my Bishop's research. I'm sure he'd be happy to give you a tour of the Aqua Ring.

"Yes, Jack did offer that to us at dinner. I'm quite looking forward to it."

Liam replied, back on the topic of business again.

Ash: And you as well, Juliette, if it interests you.

Julie: I vould radzer refrain, but I am much oh-bliged for dze off-air."

Ash: He's doing some excellent work, and we are harnessing that ingenuity to propel our court forward. As does the London White Court, or so I'm told.

"We are known for our innovation. Particularly in the nuclear department."

He replied proudly. He was fully enjoying the feel of her hand on his arm, and the nearness of her.

"Perhaps you would like a tour of my facilities some time, Your Maj."

Juliette's golden brown eyes seemed to shine, as she smiled, and the tip of her tongue traced the sharp edges of her upper teeth.

Julie: Ve vould be trilled to 'ave you...
