Finallly had a chance to read this in its entirety under one hardbound collection. (the book cost $50 bucks apparently! all i can say im glad i thought to check the library system down here).

See...Chris Yost's writing makes me actually feel like I couldve been MISSING some things with the X-men these last couple years lol. and to see Marc Silvestri's pencils again?? such nostalgia though there's a more "polished" quality to them now, they still have a distinct look to them I'd know anywhere.

Chris Yost does a great job of nodding to the past of the X-teams, specifically the era that I (and many claremont fans) grew up in. He gives the characters and stories urgency that makes you care about them again in a way I havent in a while. And it was so nice to see the classic new mutants team back together, magik on the front line, psylocke being a telepathic (and intelligent) again and even the white queen seems more tolerable to me here.

Yost is definately a good writer and I'm glad I've been able to read up on some of his works- Childhood's End (New Xmen), Necrosha, 2nd Coming and the Dazzler one shot (which was a tie in to Necrosha).
