I just got World War Hulk #1, and if this doesn't grab you, nothing will...

*SPOILER ALERT*





The Hulk beat the living hell out of Black Bolt. He MAY have killed him, though I doubt it. He then broadcast to the world what the Illuminati did and gave Manhattan 24 hours to clear out. He also gave the rest of the Illuminati (specifically Reed Richards, Iron Man, and Dr. Strange) 24 hours to show or, and I quote:

<<<Pulls Black Bolt out of the spaceship and holds his limp body aloft>>>

I'll do this to your whole stinking planet.

The rest is action-packed history, but let's just say that he and iron Man went at it, and the Hulk is the strongest one there is by FAR..
 
Somehow it doesn't sit well with me that he actually beat up Black Bolt. I guess different writers put him at different levels of power.

Hulk better NOT have killed Black Bolt, if so then im pissed.

The World War Hulk looks promising though, im bound too pick it up at some point.:nod:
 
The thing I REALLY like about this is it will show a singular power, like physical power, if applied to its fullest possible extent, could be overwhelming. In the end, the Hulk was too focused for Black Bolt to defeat with his primary weapon and he got his hands on him. I have long maintained that the key to any battle is whether or not the Hulk can get to you. If he can and he's mad enough...this shows what can happen, especially since it happened to who was described in the book as the second most powerful humanoid in the galaxy. At least until the Hulk came back.
 
I got the first issue and I totally LOVE this! However it's sad...(SPOILER FOR THOSE WHO HAVE NOT READ IT)...that the Hulk lost both his wife and unborn child! It's so horrible...I hope he KILLS Iron Man and the others for what they did!!!
 
this series i wasn't feeling the hype for it but when i saw Black Bolt beat down and Avenger tower falling. now i can't wait for the second issue just to see more smashing.
 
I also just received the other tie-ins to this event. The Hulk has just laid a woodshed beating to to Hercules after essentially reducing Namora (cousin of and equal to Namor himself) to a bystander in one move. But the ending was courageous. I am curious to see where it will lead...
 
I am up to WW Hulk #3, and he has now also beaten Thing, Colossus (in an embarrassment), Wolverine (kinda sick), Ghost Rider and Dr. Strange. But Strange has come back for round 2. Should be interesting.
 
Read WWH3 now things gets interesting, Hulk is awesome, and he's got all the reasons in the universe to be angry, but too me it seems like nothing can slake his thirst for revenge. The defeated foes gets tagged with obedience disks and taken to Madison Square Garden where they are building a Gladiator Arena, now if he would limit it too those who has wronged him (Illuminati) ok, but he's tagging people who has nothing to do with the fact that he was sent into space and Saakar blew up, in my eyes he's getting more villainous.

Alright read it and i got to say while the ending wasn't shocking it was mind blowing. The final showdown between Hulk and the Sentry epic. "Funny . . . All these years . . . I tried to calm you down and now at the end of it all it's me . . .who can't seem to stop.
 
I was happy with the way that played out (including the final bit about the explosion, etc). I think that was pretty well done. My thing is..what are they going to do now with Banner? And you saw the preview stuff...really looking forward to that.
 
I heard somewhere the Blackbolt that was defeatyed by Hulk was skrull. Doesn't that sorta cheapen it all?
 
Tell me about it. But it makes no sense really. The energy patterns that were read on Earth confirmed and matched Black Bolt's capabilities and output. So while the Hulk MAY not have beaten Boltagon himself, he DID beat apparently a Black Bolt-level Skrull, if THAT can be believed...
 
i just like to say again if they can make Black Bolt level skrulls why not just have an army of them and be done with it but hey LOL logic
