With "Malice" towards ALL

It took Haleigh a couple of seconds to answer the phone, which was unlike her. Blaze's deep penetrating eyes narrowing with annoyance. It better have been damn important because the mutant needed to speak with her. She relaxed as Haleigh's husky voice answered, which clued Blaze in to what was taking her so long. She clenched her jaw in anger before firing back a comeback of her own, "thanks!" She slapped the phone shut, hanging up on Haleigh all together.

A deep penetrating growl escaping from her as she chucked the phone against the wall, causing it to shatter. Various pieces of silver, black, and blue lined the carpet. What was wrong with this team? Karen and Delilah think they can go off and play hero and Haleigh can copulate when she should have been working it, not working IT!

Stomping off, Blaze felt her body fueling her powers again. She walked out of Morgan's penthouse with the slam of the door, knocking a picture frame off. The one of Morgan, Madonna and P. Diddy. She was not handling Morgan's death well at all either. In fact her emotions were building and molding into something dangerous.

She needed to get OUT of Illustra before she exploded. Her eyes morphing into that errie yellow tint as she headed for the stairwell. Her breathing becoming more labored. And where was Alison? Everyone was going missing in action. Another log onto her fire.

Side stepping into the gym she shut her eyes tightly when the unthinkable happened. A massive explosion rocked the spacious gym blowing up the equipment causing a blaze of inferno to surround her. Screws, levers, speakers, work out equipment was easily scattered across the black marble floor. Opening her eyes in shock, she gasped. She grabbed her head in pain as other machines exploded from the short - circuit of temperature. The fire spreading across the treadmill to the stairmaster. The intense fires melting the expensive equipment in minutes.

Blaze felt her anger boiling to the surface with the fires breaking out without the mutant able to control it. Her fingertips curving around her chocolate locks she screamed with rage. Her body brightening to warm colors of red, yellow, and orange.

She had unlocked a new power, one that she couldn't control. She watched the flames burn and char the equipment in a bit of a daze. Malice's horrid words running through her mind, "you ARE A BASTARD CHILD." Foxfire shook uncontrollable as she remembered the hurt she felt.

Throwing out her arms she unleashed high velocity backdrafts from the fire. Flames zig -zagged and B - lined around the equipment. Causing dark scorch makes to align themselves along the white walls. The sprinklers activated and splashed buckets of water across the gym floor, equipment, and Blaze.

The water pelting her heated skin but also soaking her to the bone. Her chocolate locks clinging to her skull as was her athletic wear. She walked through the frenzied fire as it caressed across her petite body. Her body disappearing before it appeared past the flickering flames. Even with the frigid water raining down, the fires were too dangerous to be extinguished by water.

Walking up to the tinted window that overlooked New York City. The crescent moon casting a glare across the city. Her eerie yellow eyes scanning through the glass. Her fists banging against the glass in a more hurried motion. Her facial expression depicting like she was torn or trapped. The horror twisting with pure anger causing her to be rash and illogical.

She through her fists through the glass, causing it to shatter. Small fragments of blood soaking the sharp shards that fell behind her. The cool air greeting her hot skin as her soaked hair blew. Jumping up inside the window sill, she looked down at the city. Everything seemed under a microscope. Her heartbeat slamming inside her chest.

Hurling her body outside which immediately activated with flames but these flames were something more. They were shaped like that of a large bird of prey....like a Phoenix. The form of a Phoenix surrounding Blaze who glided along the air. She moved to the rooftop adjacent from Illustra. Landing roughly, spraying pepples across the rooftop. Her headache growing in agony as she held her temples. "Make it stop....make it STOPPPPP!!" She roared with anger.

Something had been provoked in Blaze, who or what it was anyone's guess. But it was pretty obvious it was Malice and Blackout's doing.

@ the Hellfire Club- Malice's chambers

:: Malice stretched a bit, as she rubbed her jaw. Alexis arrived to her room and the clean up crew was already dispatched to the other area of the Hellfire Club that was damaged.::

Yes, well Dr. Victoria felt it necessary to inform me PERSONALLY, that she now had a score to settle with me. One thing i will say about the doctor, LOOKING at her it's easy to think she's weak because she's so pretty and elegant, but the woman packs QUITE a magickal punch. It's easy to see where her daughter got it from. The Doctor is just as vicious a fighter as Helena always said she was.

as for young Delilah Trelevan, she's as brave and as pure as the light she channels. her power and skill are often underestimated, even by YOU. A mistake you cannot afford to make again. She's PLENTY POWERFULL enough to put you down for the count and you'd do well to remember that the next time you fight her. Your rivalry with her was inevitable, because she is everything you are not in terms of character. your powers are similar in execution, and she was the LAST to join The Six and gained faster acceptance than you....it is understandble that you would take a disliking to her.

:: Malice rubs her jaw and laughs softly as she recounts being smacked across the jaw by a spiked head mace. had she not been in her diamond form, her jaw may have very well been BROKEN.::

Dr. Victoria, a clever move she made. I will have to RETURN the favor. But for now, as the clean up crews restore the damaged areas of the hellfire club, there's nothing more for us to do THIS night. TOMORROW we shall begin our plan to peel away the EMOTIONAL defenses of the Six before striking them at their core. They want to play cat and mouse? we shall take them at their measure...and find them WANTING.

:: Malice looked over at the metahuman, to await her response::

outside of Illustra

:: a pair of cobalt blue eyes appeared in the air directly infront of Blaze with a "pop" sound...before the rest of Alison's body BLINKED into view. Her hand extened in a "stop" motion as Blaze found herself "stuck".::

Blaze Fielding, have you gone MAD!? just WHAT do you think you're doing?!

:: Alison had subjected Blaze AND everything around her to temporal stasis, "freezing" her in time and suspending the temporal field around her to hold her in place. everything but her HEAD that is. there was no escape.::

You have just laid WASTE to to one of the training gyms of Illustra and set off fire alarms and security alarms. It is a good thing that I "SAW" you and alerted Clandestine Inc. not to attack. You could have been HURT or WORSE.

:: holding her still with her power, Alison's facial expression was still stern::

and now you are out in the open, flaming about, are you TRYING to draw more attention to Illustra....to US?

:: Alison awaited her explanation::

Illustra- 107th floor

<< having returned to her daughter's penthouse, Karen and Delilah were now safely out of harm's way. appearing in the large, sunken in sitting room off the main area of the penthouse...close to the "area of consecration" and a portion of the floor-to-ceilng windows, Karen swept her cape behind her as she exhaled with relief>>

well, that was a close one.

<< she looked over at Delilah>>

Delilah, I cannot BELIEVE you risked coming to the Hellfire Club by yourself like that!

<< sounding almost like a mother reprimanding her daughter>>

you could have been captured, HURT, or WORSE!

I knew the risk I was taking when going to confront Malice....but it was something I had to do. She took away my husband, she is alligned with the entity that took away my daughter. She HAD to be reminded that Morgan was someone's daughter...and the MOTHER is just as capable of exacting revenge as anyone ELSE.

<< she paused...as she ran her hands through her hair...and sighed>>

I didnt want anyone else to know what i was doing, i didnt want you to place yourselves in danger on MY behalf.

<< looking back at Delilah>>

But THANK YOU for caring enough for me...your bravery...its as pure as the light that you channel. Are you hurt?

<< looking over the burns to Delilah's outfit from Blackout's attack>>

i can heal you.

all through Illustra

:: as the evening wore on Haleigh, Karen and Delilah all were moving through their evening in different ways. Well aware of what the doctor and Delilah had done, Haleigh would have to have a conversation with Karen about attacking Malice by herself, and worse....going to the HELLFIRE club by herself where she was alone and outnumbered.::

:: but at this moment EVERYONE's attention was drawn to the dreadfull alarm and the icy voice over which sounded an awfull like a computerized feminine version of MORGAN'S voice::

Alarm: << alarm tone begins to sound off>> Warning! category 4 fire in training gym 2 on the 95th floor of Illustra. interior breach of window in conference room IV on 96th floor.

::eek:utside...toward the upper end of Illustra...everyone would be able to see some view point of the FIRE raging around Foxfire and Haleigh and Delilah would be able to hear her cries.::

:: the monitors in the control showed Guardian appearing in mid air facing Foxfier and apparely CHECKING her "uncontrolled" outburst by effectively containing her with her own powers...giving everyone else time to get up to the roof of Illustra to find out just what was going on::

outside of Illustra

The air and particles of oxygen around Foxfire seemed to slow and abruptly freeze. It was like a television screen being placed on pause. Blaze felt her body tense and tighten with a shudder that chilled the air. She knew the owner as the odd sound echoed in her ears. She felt herself frozen with both arms stiffened to her forehead. She sighed as the cobalt eyes appeared, knowing it was Alison. It was Blaze's turn to place the team in danger and become an emotional wreck.

She closed her eyes for a second. "Something's happening Alison....I..I...cannot control it. My emotions are in chaos and my powers too...its Malice. My powers activate with my emotions." She tried to explain, but even Alison could see the struggle Blaze fought. Her glowing yellow eyes bright and vibrant with raw emotion.

"I needed to get OUT, I felt as though I would explode. I...I'm sorry." Sometimes Blaze felt as though she were a child and Alison a mother figure to her. "I CAN'T pretend to be okay though this caper, Alison. Morgan is gone and Alexis switched sides to the same company that destroyed Morgan and Senator Kelly!" Her anger fueling her powers but luckily she was frozen in place, which prevented any more damage.

"I seem to harness a new power....much like yours. But I can lock onto a heat signature and willingly blow it up. But...I cannot control it." She avoided eye contact with those icy blue eyes. "Why do WE have to help them (humans), Alison? They HATE us! They are the ones who create machines to destroy us! I'm SICK of protecting the innocent, they should die!" Her eyes narrowing with her hatred for the human race. "Granted, not ALL are ungrateful but the majority of them are. We are SUPERIOR to them."

This was a contrast to the humane and compassionate side of Blaze Fielding. But with the atrocious timing of recent events, it managed to push Blaze over the edge. Including questioning her alignment to the team or whether she wanted to protect innocent lives. "Morgan's death taught me that we're fighting for a worthless cause. Alycia did her best but even SHE has to hide from the dangers that lurk." Her yellow eyes locking onto Alison again.

"We should kill them all! Rid ourselves of the danger to the team and the city. We're looked down upon because we're DIFFERENT....we are regarded as minority but we risk our asses everyday to protect them?! How does this balance out? We're bashing, cursed at, or murdered...like Morgan. The Senator was a friend of mutants and other species, but she was killed. She was a human....its not fair!" Her voice rising to higher volumes the more she spoke about it.

"We are BETTER than humans! And that fucking cowboy sits smugly in his oval office not doing a damn thing! He hates us too...you know it! He makes a speech but that's all he's good for. Someone should assassinate him!"

Blaze was boiling with more darker emotions than usual. Some could be due to the TO outbreak, the death of Morgan, and Malice's cutting words. "You tell me, Alison, why do YOU continue?"

:: Lifting her nose with disgust as Malice discribed Delilah as being a more "pure" form of Alexis, the brunette shook her head with annoyance. That woman had been a thorn in her side the moment she stepped foot in Illustra. And what Malice had said was true....Delilah could match Alexis' powers, easily. She did underestimate the mutant quite often, but not anymore. Alexis was out for Delilah's blood, plain and simple. ::

"That manipulative, two face, halo wearing slut will die at my hand. But...that can wait."

:: Smiling at Malice's vague plan, Alexis knew whatever this woman was cooking up, it had to be scandalous. ::

"I'm sure once we're done with the six tomorrow....they'd only WISH that we killed them. Goodnight, Malice."

:: Turning from the doorway, Alexis made her way down the long hallway, stepping past the clean up crew that was already working. Heading into her bedroom, Alexis shut the door behind her and prepared for bed. ::

[ Delilah looked at Karen a little sheepishly - she felt like she'd just been caught with her hand in the cookie jar. Not suprising as she looked to the doctor as a mother-figure now that her own parents were gone. And with Morgan's death more than ever she needed "family" to turn to.

She sat down on one of the sectionals, and wiped her face with her hands. ]

"I know, I know - I'm sorry Karen. I didn't stop to think - of course I know you can handle yourself more than adequately. But I just...felt I owed it to Morgan to keep her mother safe."

[ She looked up at Karen and smiled. She too looked down at her tattered clothing and laughed. ]

"Just a little singed. I don't suppose you can magick away my dry cleaning bill too?"

Haleigh closed her phone, somewhat shocked, distracted from Zach, who had taken to kissing her neck again.

"She hung up on me. ON ME. How rude. Honestly.... that woman is a LIT FUSE... she's probably gonna stalk off and destroy something.... she REALLY needs anger management help."

Zach responded with something nearly inaudible, as he used his powers unabashedly now to wash her in passion and relieve her of worry. Alarms began to signal destruction and chaos in Gym 2... Haleigh was uncharacteristically apathetic, even as the panel dropped from the ceiling and tilted forward to allow her view of the Gym. She shrugged and wrapped her arms around Zach's neck, running a hand through his hair as he made love to her. The command she gave the system seemed almost and afterthought in indifference.

"Activate Sprinklers...."

But it seemed... it wouldn't be that easily dealt with. The fires were nearing uncontrollable levels, and the system alerted her to cat four, followed shortly thereafter by the notification of a broken window. Haleigh took a deep breath... she watched Blaze in the monitor over Zach's shoulder.... She sighed, as her internal drive to protect both the raging Blaze and their secret identities overpowered Zach's attempts to melt away her burdens.

"Maybe I'm not to be happy afterall..." She said softly, as she pushed Zach away gently and began to reach for various articles of clothing.

"WHAT are you doing?!" Zach said, in a feral growl.

"What I have to." Haleigh responded solemnly, pulling on her buttonup shirt and then her shoulder harness, now armed with twin Heckler and Koch pistols. She buckled her belt and finished buttoning up her shirt. She gave Zach an apologetic kiss. "I'm sorry, love. We'll have to finish this later." She said, as she ran her hands through her own hair now, trying to tame it as she activated the molecular displacement tool that transferred her from her dining room to the rooftop where Blaze and Alison were. Haleigh had been listening to the conversation some time, and though Blaze's final question was directed to Alison, Haleigh took this time to make her own presence known.

"We do it because MORGAN believed SO MUCH in this worthless cause that she gave her LIFE for it. We do it because we ARE superior to them... and as such it is left to US to protect those who cannot defend themselves against the likes of Malice. YOU don't want to protect them? You think they should die? FINE... why don't you just join MYSTECH! Thats what THEY want to. but I am going to defend humans until either I CANT anymore... or they don't NEED me to anymore. And you can be DAMN SURE that I don't give a FLYING FUCK whether they WANT my protection... or even if they HATE me. DAMN IT, Blaze! If we allow Malice and her thugs to destroy humanity and gain control, we are going to have a very SERIOUS problem on our hands. Helping protect the innocent helps to protect ourselves. This is BIGGER than Morgan.... bigger than ALL of us... this will NEVER be easy.... but if we FIGHT our destiny... if we FIGHT EACH OTHER.... we might as well hand Malice the WORLD on a silver platter."

Illustra's rooftop

::Alison listned as Blaze vented her frustration. Blaze clearly hadnt been as centered as she used to be and Alison knew it. Losing her sister had taken a toll on the young mutant and Alison felt sympathy for her. Before Alison could reply, HALEIGH spoke. she had arrived on the roof, no doubt alerted by the alarms set off by Blaze.::

Haleigh is right Blaze. Not ALL humans are bad....Sharon Kelly, a human, possesed more courage and honor than MANY of our OWN PEERS. Alycia Barnett, a human, is a strong woman who has risked HER life to help protect our privacy. There are bad humans, bad metahumans, bad witches....because ultimately "evil" is apart of human nature.

We were pulled together by powers beyond us...for a REASON and we CANT give up now, not when MysTech is at its weakest. The fact that Malice has surfaced and appears to be the HEAD of the "consortium" that we heard about a year ago, prooves that we have cut through MANY layers of MysTech's inner structure...we've saved COUNTLESS lives..human AND OTHERWISE and weakend MysTech's grip on the global structure of our planet. Morgan and Sharon's deaths...marked a painfull blow for us but also painfull blow to MYSTECH and we MUST NOT allow the sacrifice of our dear friends/family to be in VAIN.

We must not buckle now. Morgan would not allow it, and neither will I. Malice will not stop until she sees us torn apart...i say we beat HER to the punch.

:: she lowers Blaze to the rooftop and allows the mutant's body to relax from the temporal stasis.::

I suggest you get a hold of yourself, and get some rest. clearly you're still suffering from the loss of your sister and that is understandable, but I cannot allow you damage our home or draw OUTSIDE attention to Illustra after all the trouble we have gone through to fortify this building to protect it in the trying times to come.

:: Alison stood with her arms folded, looking at Blaze. Haleigh was off to the side at Blaze's "9 o'clock" all out in the starry night sky::

come inside with us. I will take you to your quaters.

and with that

::Haleigh and Alison help Blaze back inside Illustra while Karen and Delilah finally turn in for the evening. The night is at its darkest and it is clear that the battle has JUST begun on all fronts between the surviving members of the Six and Mystech...the FINAL battle.::
