has anyone heard this song yet? its like a dreamy, techno/dance tune with snippets from "the sound of music" woven in at just the right points. its WEIRD but its catchy at the same time!

and is it just me? or is Gwen starting to look more and more like Madonna during her 80's to 90's transition?

Th song is off the hook, and the beat reminds me of marching band, but when the cool bands get on the field.

I loved Gwen when she was still the lead singer for No Doubt. She's a talented and fashionable solo artist now, but some of her newer songs I wasn't fond of. That Banana song drove me insane, especially when dozens of cheerleaders were shouting it at sports games. But, I do love "Wind it up", its one of my favorite songs at the moment. The introduction of the song is catchy and addicting. Its one of those songs you'll either be humming or singing to. My favorite line of the song is, "I know he thinks your fine and stuff, but does he know how to wind you up?" Just the way she inquires is amusing to me. Its a unique beat and whenever I hear it I have to blast it. I recently heard her new single, I forgot the title. But that one was equally unique.

I too noticed the style changes for Gwen, I remember she was being interviewed I think by E! and she had something on that reminded me of Madonna. It just goes to show you that Madonna still has a huge following with fans and other celebrities, young and old.

This song...*sigh*. It's actually quite catchy, I love the retarded yodel at the beginning, but in the middle it's a little boring. You can't deny that Stefani is unique though...her singles are all un-mainstreamish (IMO) yet they become hits. Pretty cool.

Although I would never buy her CD.

I honestly don't like it. And I agree Pry, I wouldn't buy her CD either....that's why I bootlegged it. :D LOL

well its a Neptunes produced track...and while the Neptunes were once HOT for their "far out", "cosmic" sounding beats and melodies...this one DOES come off rather TIRED after a few times listening to it. even I am bored by it now.

this album came so QUICKLY after L.A.M.B and it wasnt nearly as hot or ground breaking as the former.

Gotta agree with Persephone and Pry...i'd never buy this song or the CD..or really try to obtain it in anyway. After hearing a lot of it over the winter break, i just really can't stand the song...i do see how others like it though..to each their own.

And no, i don't think she's looking like madonna at all..a wannabe maybe..but then again, i think madonna had (has) much more talent then Gwen. Loved Gwen with No Doubt, not so much on her own.

I agree... I think I loved the first two singles on her L.A.M.B. album and then got annoyed with everything else. I LOVED her when she was in No Doubt.... everything she put out with them was golden, genuine classics. I still listen to "Just a Girl" and "Don't Speak". When she broke with them, she got off to a good start, but then ended up like most pop stars today: Repeating the same phrases over and over and butchering classics.

No one... I repeat no one can touch Madonna. That girl has the same star power that Marilyn Monroe had and she'll last through the ages.
