As you all know the San Diego Comic Con just ended and at the Marvel Booth it was revealed by one of Marvel's Editors that The Phalanx (the big bad of Annihilation Conquest) were under SOMEONE ELSE'S control and that the true big bad has yet to have been revealed. Who or what could have possibly conquered and reprogrammed the Phalanx? What is their purpose for unleashing their technophage-carrying pawns into Kree Space? And WHERE did they get the technology to trap entire sectors of outer space in pocket universes?
On other boards across the Net people are saying Kang...but really that wouldn't make any sense as Kang has no motivation to conquer the Kree...heck I don't think he has even MET them. No, the culprit has to be someone we could never expect. Someone who has both the motivation to conquer the Kree and the ability to reprogram the Hive Mind of The Phalanx. I have good reason to believe that the person orchestrating all of this is none other than Adam Warlock's twin...The Magus. Now just think about it...in the Prologue there was definately one of Adam Warlock's cocoons in the background of that splash page towards the end of the book and a voice has confirmed that there is one man who could save the Kree.
If this savior is none other than Warlock aren't we supposed to assume that The Magus is behind it all? But this is of course...just a theory. What do you all think? Who do YOU believe controls the Phalanx?
