All the info we need should be given in the first movie of a series, I hate the prequel/remakes that are both at the same time.

I didnt like Rob Zombies halloween for that, the first half I loved... there was NO NEED for it but I did love it, and then it went into a full on remake... shame on you Rob, i expect ripping off of Texas Chainsaw from you.

Honestly, SW I, II & III should be enough to say 'NO MORE PREQUELS" possibly with the exception of the third, they didnt even deserve the Star Wars title.

its kind of telling the most voted on options were sequels and prequels. Hollywood just can't let a good story stand on it's own

It is easier than counting on the audience to invest in a new character; read somewhere that doing a remake is more profitable than something new. That brings up another problem.. I LOATHE all the tie-ins.. fucking corporate sponsorship of the summer blockbusters really get my fur up. And now we present, Underworld 4 in 3D brought to you by Starbucks and MacDonalds. That is one of the many problems with sequels: it is almost arbitrary that have commercial tie-ins.. damn Noikia and Transformers ad pissed me off too! Okay.. sorry for rant..

Don't be sorry i feel the same, they profit on the dumbness of the average joe cinema goer, who wants to see the same thing time and time again.

What I don't get is when pitching an idea, they want you to be something new, something diffrent.. but when it comes to marketing they try to make it like "that other movie you loved"
