What If the Tea Party Wins?

-------------------

I am AGAINST the Tea Party. Here's why: the Tea Party Republicans are a stupid, ridiculous mess of people with crazy bad ideas, and that they get way too much coverage on the mainstream media, i.e. Fox "News." They hate taxes, even though they haven't been this low for decades & we have among the lowest income taxe rates on the globe. Why do they oppose them so staunchly?

Because the Tea Party/GOP vision for America ...that is downright dangerous,... unhealthy, and hopeless for the average person. Every important law we've passed in the last 100 years would be gone, with no hope of bringing it back. It's the fantasy of the 1% -- absolute power and domination. No social security, medicare, = you're on your own, grandma. No EPA, FDA = no clean water, clean air. Have fun, asthmatics (like me). No labor unions or labor laws = working class families crushed. And it gets worse...

Among other things...Rand Paul (Ron Paul's son), a tea party darling, has more than once declared the 14th ammendment (Civil Rights) was a symbol of "activism & progressivism that took our country in the WRONG direction & he'd make it his business to see that ammendment REPPEALED."

I tend to agree.

I do not see most women supporting such a candidate due to the threats to abortion.

No Black vote.

Hispanic vote probably against.

Youth white vote split at best.

I do not see the numbers really for anyone (especially if unemployment keeps falling) but DEFINITELY not for a Gingrich or Santorum.

Romney has the best shot but I don't think he energizes Republicans, I think he is not different enough to pull moderates, and I think that his Mormon faith will hurt him at some point.
