If someone tries to tell you what to do... How do you respond?

Do you A) Do as your told , B) Defy the order, C) Refuse and curse the person or D) Give them an open handed smack in the mouth?

I think before you can answer any of those questions, it really depends on the person, what their relationship is to you, and what the situation is.

If its a friend telling what to do I'd wanna know why they felt that way. To try and weigh whether I agreed or disagreed plus whether or not their reasoning was logical.

If it was a boss I'd be more likely to obey although if I feel like I'm being taken advantage of or if I feel they are being disrespectful or condescending then I would voice my opinion. Making sure that I don't take orders and that I'm a human being not a robot.

I wouldn't go for the cursing or the smack down unless extremely provoked. If the person was being belligerent, ignorant, or just stepping over the boundary I'd warn them to back down. If they refuse to be amicable than I'd say knock the bitch out! LOL!

Like I said it depends on the details. If its just something miniscule than I'd be honest and tell them how you feel. But if they are being possessive by trying to 'force you' into doing it than I would be hostile.
