When you think of "Scream Queens" you think of: Janet Leigh, or her daughter Jamie Lee Curtis.
Women who were vulnerable but were able to rise up to the critical task of protecting themselves and their friends (the ones who survived) from a monster, killer or a mortal danger.
Jamie Lee Curtis set a standard that changed the game for anyone that came AFTER her.
Now VH1 has a show which seeks to find the "next scream queen" who will get a plum role as the "breakout star" of SAW VI (isnt it kind of arrogant, considering that Saw V hasnt even come out on the big screen YET? LOL)
The show debuted last night and already there are several young women who are showing themselves to be strong contenders.
Has anyone seen it yet? I am personally rooting for Tanedra Howard, the sole black woman on the cast. She's supposed to be the woman with the least experience among these hopefulls and yet She came out swinging with what seems like good raw talent, a strong sense of how to take direction and to be believable.
