Underworld: Rise of the Lycans

Just been to see this today - I really enjoyed it. Was glad to see that I was wrong and it wasn't Kate Beckinsale playing Sonya...though they picked someone who does look a lot like her. But stil has darker hair than in the flashback of the first movie but whatever...

I really enjoyed it. Though it made me want another one that shows the whole thing with Kraven. Though I guess they told us what happened. Liked the introduction of Raze, cause he's so badass.

If anyone's seen it, one thing struck me as a possible mess up...Sonya's eyes

at the end when she's trying to escape with Lucien - they're dark, not blue like in the beginning of the movie. Is this because of the baby or did I just miss something?

I took an aquaintence to see this for his birthday. I spent more time checking my nails and texting than actually watching the movie...LOL! I took him for a birthday favor and that was it...HE was all in and he commented on several apparent continuity descrepencies between this film and the other two.

I was thinking of seeing this but i don't think i'm going to watch it in theaters probably going to wait till it hits HBO or Showtime.

I had no desire to see this because Kate Beckinsale and Scott Speedman were not in this film. Both actors were vocal about doing a third film. While I understand it was a prequel and obviously before Selene's time but I think they could have had a separate storyline for Selene and Michael with a prequel with Lucian, Sonya, Viktor, etc.

I think Len Wisemen purposely picked a female lead who looked strikingly similar to Kate to hype them up. Even my friends believed Kate would reprise her role or be playing Sonya but that was not the case. A woman who looked very similar.

Len said Underworld was meant to be written in a trilogy. But I still feel they could have done more here. I will rent it when this comes to DVD because I'm an avid fan of the Underworld franchise.
