TV Land Pulls 'Dukes of Hazzard' Reruns

-----------------------

Wow, I wouldn't have expected this.

I'm no fan of the confederate flag, & It annoys me to no end when the argument about "heritage" is brought out to try to blunt the very real, lingering STING of HATE that flag carries.

But in regards to Dukes, I honestly never noticed the confederate symbol on the general lee until I was an adult lol! it did shock me when i realized it was on there, but I never felt like the show had racist themes to it. The show was just fun.

As much as I agree w/ the confederate flag being brought down off SC's gov't bldgs or any OTHER gov't/public place, I think pulling reruns of a classic show that never demonstrated racist themes doesn't help anything.

I think thats going alittle overboard, personally. If there were any indication other than the cars paintjob but... I mean in that god awful movie remake they pointed fun at it. You would have thought that if the paintjob of the car was a problem people would have complained about it when the movie came out.

The movie had much more worth complaining about- like the fact that it was just HORRIBLE or the casting of Jessica Simpson as Daisy Duke

Come on!! Horrible? That's an understatement!
