I've been aware of this man's case for a while now. I watched an in depth look @ it on Investigation Discovery so unlike alot of other ppl, I'm not just jumping on a band wagon b/c the media FINALLY decided to hype it up...@ the 11th hour no less :(

MY personal thought? It's SICK how a murdering bitch like Casey Anthony got away w/ it but this man, who had more than a little bit of SOLID EVIDENCE to proove his innocence was executed.

This isnt the first time America's justice system has been shown to be flawed & BROKEN but it never gets any less sad to see it unfold like this.

Interestingly enough- there was muted coverage on another execution that occurred yesterday, in Texas, a white supremacist who attacked, kidnapped & then murdered a black man by dragging him behind his truck for several miles was put to death. Of the other two involved in this hate crime, one is on death row while the other will serve a life prison sentence.

what are you thoughts on Troy Davis?

What do you think about the justice system in america?

I never actually heard of Troy Davis until I read about his death and what lead to it. Even reading the information as someone new to what was going on, I think it's ridiculous that this man didn't get a fair appeal when there was obviously no hard evidence linking him to the shooting. And the fact that 10 out of 12 witnesses [I believe that was the number] recanted what they originally said about what they witnessed, yet that still wasn't good enough to postpone the execution and reappeal his case? It's messed up.

Our justice system is so out of wack. Psychos like Casey Anthony can roam free with multimillion dollar book deals in her grasp, while a man who was innocent is put to death. It's shameful.

This case is really calling for a renewed movement against the death sentence cause honestly how can a "civilized" nation kill innocence man and be ok with it

It's not the first time an innocent man has been put to death and, unfortunately, it probably won't be the last. :(

very sad & true :(

but like BK said...this isnt supposed to happen in a "civilized" society. That's why I asked about the oxymoron of "human civilization" in another thread i posted here in roundtable. my minor in college was history & im telling you, when you learn REAL history...it really DIMS your view on humanity as a whole <<smh>>

it saddens me that this man went to his death proclaiming his innocence but I also think of how many WOMEN went through the same thing during the "burning times" in europe or the salem witch trials in the 13 colonies, etc. down through history.

damn shame.

meanwhile...the justice gets HO'ed on the other end by ppl like OJ Simpson & Casey Anthony.
