Lovin life as a Mommy
So with my travel plans just around the corner, I'm going to Alabama for a week to visit with my dad and grandmother who has been really sick i'm hoping to leave out on September 19th and return around September 26th or so. Well as I sit here searching site after site for cheap plane tickets it got me thinking. Who here likes to travel? Where do you most like to travel too, Any favorites? Where have you been? Which form of transportation do you choose, Plane? Car? Train? Bus? Cruise ship? And of course probley the most important question yet. What are your feelings on the way they have jacked up prices and security (expecially for airlines).
I love to travel... I've been traveling since I was five years old. My father used to drive semi-truck cross country and i'd join him in the summers, I did this until I turned about 15 years old then it began to bore me because I was more interested in my friends. I've been to 48 of the 50 states... The two I haven't got to visit (yet) is Alaska and Hawaii. Though i've seen all these states there is alot I never got to experience. I've always wanted to really see NYC and though we drove through it I didn't get to experience it, as well as L.A, Miami, The Grand Canyon. I did however get to experience Vegas a bit (I was 13 so not much of it) I did love lounging at the pool it had a nice water slide. Another favorite place i go is Ocean City MD, the fiancee and I go there every summer. Pensacola Florida is a nice place as well (I lived there for a few years) the beaches are great the hurricanes are a bitch though. The places i visit the most though are definately Alabama (where my family lives duh) and Ocean City i visit both places about once a year if not twice. Usually go to alabama around Thanksgiving though.
My Favorite form of travel is definately airplanes, they just get you to your destination so much faster. Though i'm hating the prices and all the extra cost now. Do you know they charge 20 bucks for only 1 check in bag? It used to be free for 2, and if you want a second one... well add 25 more dollars. They have extra snacks on the plane now though.. for a small little thing of pringles they want 3 bucks, a snack tray last year with a few things in it i think was 10 bucks. I mean you dont have to buy any of it but man is it pricey. And the secruity is so outrageous. I mean I understand it because of 9/11 but man i'm always terrified i'm gonna bring something that gets me arrested lol. I was so afraid last year to take baby formula because it was more than 3 oz. I mean I love to travel but my god.
