The worst songs ever played

We have a variety of topics regarding music, artists, genre's, etc. But, how about something related to songs we detest? Maybe the radio station has played it repetitively to harass you silly? Maybe a friend sings it DAILY around the office, home, etc. Whatever the situation we all have songs we adore and the ones we detest. Let's list songs we cannot stand whether as a child, teenager, or an adult. Any generation, any genre.

1.) Len - "Steal my sunshine" - I HATED this song when it first debuted and I refuse to watch the video. It was released years ago but there was something obnoxious about this song to me.

2.) Fergie - "London Bridge" - A LOT of people love this song because its catchy beat and Fergie's vocals. The first time I heard this song my reaction was wtf is this shit? LOL! This song was everywhere I went! My car, the mall, my house, my job, etc. Its a song that gets under my skin lol.

3.) Gnarls Barkley - "Crazy" - OVERPLAYED!! I seriously wanted to pull my hair out with this song lol.

4.) Avril Lavigne - "Girlfriend" and "Complicated" - I really can't stand this chick at all. lol. She thinks she's hardcore 'punk' or whatever. I wanted to shoot myself when I heard complicated, it was so annoying. My friends tormenting me by playing it whenever I was around lol.
 
Gnarls Barkley's shit is pretty cool. It's not their fault everybody fell in love. But listen to some of their other stuff, you may come around.
 
God, you guys would hate my playlist, although I agree about Ashanti. "Rock My World" was a great song. Still is. Until now, I had yet to meet someone who did not feel that way...
 
i just didnt like the video. i remember when the song had its world debut on the popular radio station in detroit the FIRST time i heard it, i liked it..but then i saw the video and i was thinking... "LIKE ANYONE IN THE WORLD IS GONNA BELIEVE that ANY WOMAN would fall for the charms of Michael Jackson? he looks like a scarey manequinn!"
 
That I'll give you. The saddest part about MJ is that he is the most successful artist ever and his weirdness has overshadowed even THAT, at least in this country.
 
Oh I totally agree about Ashanti, every single one of her songs pretty much is a bunch of "Ah Baby"

I actually LIKE most of the stuff in your list, Heat.

Except Fergie. I HATE her shit. I also HATE everything that Black Eyed Peas has come out with since their original song, which was the only good thing to EVER come of that group, imho. All the rest was so UTTERLY annoying and overplayed. Don't even GET ME STARTED about that retarded humps song, either. That song made me want to put on concrete shoes and walk into the ocean.

Strangely enough, though, Glamorous is not THAT bad of a song. its the ONLY fergie music I'll EVER allow to play on MY jukebox. :p

You want annoying? How about Young whats-his-name [jock or jeezy or junkie, i'm sure] and that UBER-overplayed, insufferable and PISS POOR excuse for a song, "It's Going Down". I wish it WOULD go down! Like the fucking Titanic!

and EVERYBODY ELSE loves it, of course, so I keep hearing that SAME STUPID SONG EVERY WHERE I GO and WHENEVER I'm going to meet with someone, they feel the inexplicable and INTOLERABLE need to say some stupid play on it, like "meet me at the gym, its goin down." or meet me at the mall, its goin down. or meet me at the house, its goin down

LOL! Lexi your too much, girl. ;) I actually liked "Shut up" by Black eyed Peas.

I forgot to mention that obnoxious song by Macey Gray, "I try". I hated her vocals on that song. It sounded like she was smoking or something lol. I remember hearing that song in High School and the Class President, Monique and I would bash it every chance we could lol.

50 cent isn't bad I actually have one of his albums with "Just a lil bit". Some of his lyrics are racy but I like the beats, Lexi will back me on that. ;)

Any remake of Madonna's like Kelly Osbourne or Hilary Duff. :sleep2:
 
Okay I think I have alot because everything on the radio is annoying me pretty much these days.

"This is why i'm hot" - I don't need to hear that shit 50 times a day!

"Sweet Escape" by Gwen Stefani and Akon. That song is so annoying! Seriously it is not good at all. The chorus the verses everything is like a trip to the fucking lollipop guild... HATE IT!

"Nobody Wanna See us Together" - Akon. Yeah I am so sick of Akon all together... This also includes:

"Smack That"
"I Wanna Fuck You"

I also really hate that song... by Nelly Furtado and Justin Timberlake "If you see us in the club, we'll be acting blah blah" i don't like it at all.
 
i dont think Akon has much to offer at all. i really don't like Dance Hall type artists. alot of them are extremely homophobic (beanie man, elephant man) and have NO PROBLEM promoting gay bashing. Elephant man had some of his songs BANNED in NYC because the lyrics clearly stated things about killing and "destroying" homosexuals. Chastiny Bono ( Cher's daughter and the chair over G.L.A.A.D) lead the charge against him and won.

I hate the songs: "Yeah" by Usher, "Goodies" by Ciara and "Freak-a-Leak" by Petey Pablo SIMPLY BECAUSE the ALL same the same hook, bass line and melody. i mean DAMN was 2003 the year to use the SAME BEAT for EVERY SONG? :rolleyes:

another reason why many songs get played out so fast now though is because radio stations dont know the meaning of the word VARIETY and MIX anymore.

Clear Channel owns just about every damn station in the country and they seem to think we WANT to hear the same song every hour of every day. :rolleyes:
 
Oh! The worst song in existence has to be Nelly and Garth Brook's song "Over and Over Again." I hate that song to my very core as well as the theme to Lambchops which will continue onward for all Eternity until the Universe explodes like a bomb!
 
I just realized that 4/5 songs I hated on my list were Akon songs lol!

New one to add to the listen I don't know what it's called but it is slow and has the lines

"Got money in the bank, lemme buy you a drink?"

"we in the bed like oh, oh, oh.."

AND!

R.Kelly "I'm a flirt"
 
I like Akon and dancehall. Akon is at least bringing different things to the table, too bad the radio is playing it out. As for dancehall, the culture that these artists come from is quite macho and they do gay-bash unfortunately, although it is MUCH more rare than some would have you think. There are lots of songs of different cultures that do the same; they simply aren't spoken in English (or what passes for it in their patois).
