<< night passes, with some members of the six stealing precious few moments of shut eye.>>

<< the new day is gloomy and windy. Karen has made all the arrangements for Arielle's funeral and the members of the Six are in their apartments all getting ready for it and thinking about the events from the night before. Sharon still will not give Nicolas an audience.>>

<< Designer black dresses can't make up for the somber mood felt by those attending. Arielle was one of the most glaring and painfull casualities of this nightmare since it began. The six, now had to bury her, and prepare to face their task...coming together to defeat Barbas and save Cameron.>>

<< of course, along the way there was still the matter of the Zaccharas, who were being vexed by Barbas as well...but thus far found little to NO help from the Six...it was their own fault though. >>

<< still, enemies or not...pressing threats had a way of bringing two sides together if for no other reason than to SURVIVE.>>

<< the day begins...and we watch.>>

Delilah hadn’t known Arielle, but it was enough that others had. And she couldn’t help but think that this could very well be Morgan, or Karen, or Alison’s funeral they were attending. And still could be if they didn’t do this right.

It was a somber occasion – no way around that – but it was somehow made worse by the current state of the Six. Delilah felt worn out, physically and emotionally. She was tired of fighting, and tired of funerals. Verna was right – she had to let go of the anger. But it was so difficult – with Nicolas acting like he was better than her because he didn’t love Claudia. As if that made her any safer. At least they knew she was out to get them. Delilah hadn’t known until it was too late.

She finished applying her makeup, zipped up her Michael Kors black tiered dress and put a black jacket over it, grabbed her bag and went out into the living room to wait for Alison. As she sat there, she thought back to the last funeral they had been at – Cameron’s. It’s too bad that somehow they couldn’t find Arielle alive somewhere as well. Unfortuneately, not everyone was as lucky as the Six.

Nicolas actually slept. SLEPT. For the first time in a while. Barbas could no longer really touch him after last night, and so his voice was hushed.

Sharon would not speak to him, even countenance him in her presence. He knew it before asking. She would not allow him to touch her, did not even look at him. He ate it up, remembered it, and LEARNED.

He rose early, took a bath that would scald nearly any one else, right at 100 degrees C. He soaked and thought, spent some time being sad, then slowly brought himself back together. He knew it was a long journey, and he also knew that it may fail. But today was a new day, another chance to do better than yesterday, and he would take that opportunity.

He dressed slowly, forsaking his power as he took the time to place each button and lapel and handkerchief in place in his suit. He waited in his doorway for the others, ready to proceed with the ceremony.

From apartment 8 to apartment 4

After all the pandemonium last night, Blaze was exhausted from all of the drama. Even after Nicolas' apology Blaze still felt aggression around him. She wasn't going to trust him, ever. Back on her old world trust was a huge deal and when it was broken it couldn't be repaired. Something herself and mainstream Blaze differed, who usually offered several chances. But alternate Blaze was battle stricken and had a harder and tougher edge than the other. Even her twin, Jasmine Klein was more fierce. Both twin's had to grow up quick in order to survive. Blaze was a survivor and she would do anything it took to protect the safety of the team especially Morgan. A woman who grew to think of the alternate as her sister.

As the others left for their apartment Blaze stayed behind with Karen, Morgan, and Verna. It was comforting and soothing to be around such powerful women, witches. Even after they all bid Verna good-bye Blaze secretly took a silent oath to watch over Morgan, especially with Nicolas around. The fire elemental would make sure the Demi God kept a comfortable distance and Mike too. After all we wouldn't want deja-vu again with the death of Mike. Something Blaze was more than prepared to do if he kept up his antics. This Blaze didn't think twice about someone's life so Mike would do best to watch where he treaded because everyone knew that when you played with fire you always got burned. And Blaze's fire wasn't a small flame, no, it was an inferno waiting to happen.

With a new day approaching Blaze had woken up in her own apartment. She had returned right after Morgan fell asleep in her own. Already the fiery mutant had showered and lotioned her svelte frame. Picking out a brown Gucci wrap dress with metal anchor button closure, and side leather knot detail. Grabbing her 'kotao' high heel ankle strap platform sandals with horsebit ring buckle. Slipping on the four inch heels before glancing at her appearance in the mirror. Next, came the accessories of a chiodo bracelet and chiodo cocktail ring with orange quartz. Perfect.

Applying a small ounce of mascara and matching eye shadow and a pastel lip gloss to her feminine features. Blaze decided to wear her hair down with a curl to it, allowing it to air dry. A touch of hair spray and she was all ready.

Today would be difficult for Morgan and Karen the most. More so Karen than anyone else because she had promised the fallen witch no harm would come to her and here they were. Grabbing a small brown clutch, Blaze would exit from her apartment, making sure it was locked. Descending down the stairs as she eyed Claudia and Clara's apartment. Hunter-green eyes would narrow as she glared at their door. Oh yes, she would pay Clara a little visit later and teach her a thing or two about etiquette.

A sway of curvy hips would walk across the court yard to apartment four. Ascending up the stairs to knock on Morgan's door. Waiting patiently for her sister to answer. More than anything Blaze wanted to be supportive and forget about the whole situation yesterday for Morgan and Karen's sake. They had enough to deal with today.

apartment four/the courtyard

<< in apartment four, Morgan was now in her smaller scale "Chamber of Dreams". standing in front of an antique dark wood framed full length mirror, the witch turned and looked at her side profile as she primped a bit.>>

<< wearing a tailored black donna karan blazer and skirt w/belt the sorceress' outfit was suitable for the occassion but still managed to show off one of her better known features, her cleavage. even "toned down" she still pushed the envelope just a bit.>>

<< slipping into a matching pair of black donna karan high heels , the sorceress did one last hair and make up [MAC of course] check of her sleek shoulder length bob do before donning her white rose corsage. all of the witches in the group were wearing white roses as part of their ensembles to honor their fallen fellow witch today.>>

<< Tinkerbell and the small white kitten were enjoying saucers of milk. a rare treat for them. Morgan paused to look at her babies and as she did so...she thought about the agony of the last two nights. the brutal murder of Arielle, the terror, the dischord, the bitterness and strife...through it all, there were SOME moments of joy, such as Grammie returning to their realm of existence and the strengthening of the bond between herself and the crosstime alternate of Blaze...FIREBIRD. she felt that a part of herself that had been disjoined had finally been shaken and come back together. She was ready to soldier ahead, to LEAD her team and to live her life HER way again. >>

<< Nicolas stood out in her mind as she watched her felines a bit more. WHY. She was BEYOND disappointed with him and was ready to write him off INSPITE of whatever lingering feelings lay secretly in her heart. He'd hurt HER, her FRIENDS...endangered them, disregarded them time and again. WHY should she care about him or even CONSIDER HIM? and yet...she knew in that same icy heart of her's that not sending him away was the better thing to do. that having him here in MP with them was better than not having him.>>

<< she didnt have to be with him in order to appreciate what he brought to the table and she wasnt going to allow THAT to be his ticket to hold her or anyone ELSE hostage when it came to them challenging him and holding him responsible for his actions. he FINALLY seemed to turn a corner last night...and that SMALL but DEFINATE epiphany gave her HOPE for him and his future standing in this team.>>

<< after a few moments of watching her babies, she grabbed her matching black clutch>>

behave and be safe, my little ones. mommy will be back in a while.

<< and with that, the chic and sophisticated looking sorceress steps through the large apartment and out the front door. shutting it and locking it behind her as she comes down the spiral stair case. her hair heels herald her arrival outside as she makes her way to the courtyard. Blaze was on her way UP and so the two met each other.>>

Hey...

<< she said in her icy voice as she looked down at her slightly shorter sister.>>

you look nice.

<< brushing some of Blaze's chocolate brown locks back with her own hand as the wind blew a bit.>>

i guess staying up half the night didnt put a dent in our beauty rest.

I've already called for a car. It should be coming shortly. We can wait for the others.

<< in part because she wasnt interested in looking at Mike right now and because she was feeling rather said. the images of Arielle and her death creeping back up in her mind as the two women stood together waiting for the others. >>

apartment one

:: Alison emerged from the hallway, passing through the kitchen area and into the living room where Delilah was waiting. Shifting her weight as she adjusted one of the sling back, spiked high heels that she was wearing along with her calvin klein black dress with a thigh high hem split, the dress flattered her firm form quite well and showed off her toned legs but like Morgan, she too opted for a slightly more conservative appearence than she was known for. This was a funeral, not a cabaret after all. she too wore a very nice rose corsage just like Morgan.::

What a night ...huh?

:: she said quietly as she came further out into the living room.::

and now here we are, about to go to a funeral.

You know...:: lightly touching her beautifull white rose corsage with her hand.:: if it hadn't been for Nicolas the other night...Barbas would have killed me in the dream zone. He ALMOST had me...just like in the ALLEY when Firebird saved me!

It's hard to deal with him [Nicolas] ...and I don't condone his behavior 90 % of the time...but I can't forget that he did THAT.

:: thinking about how LUCKY she was to be alive...as she caught sight of the new WHITE STREAK in her otherwise blue/black hair in a small mirror on the wall. a sign that Barbas had touched her and nearly consumed her.

She [Arielle] is one of many, Delilah. There were many victims of Barbas, young..."unknown" witches who died a horrible, terrifying death...we tried to save her...and we failed. it happened as it was meant to but that is little comfort. even i felt shaken to my core...i SAW her eyes in those last moments of her life before Barbas broke her neck...her FACE was contorted in fear.

:: feeling badly for the young witch.::

At least we can help make sure Arielle will find her way to a peacefull here after.

After the official funeral, Morgan, Karen and I will join Arielle's coven sisters in performing the ritual for a fallen witch.

:: she looks across the room and out of one of the windows.::

Morgan and Blaze are outside. Let's go and join them.

:: and with that, the precog and the mutant exit Delilah's apartment, joining Blaze and Morgan outside. quiet greetings were exchanged and Morgan and Alison observed each other's white rose corsages. they knew there'd be one more to join them.::

Morgan did you...

Morgan: Yes, I've got a car on the way for us. No sense in us all driving seperately....in case Barbas attacks at the funeral. You know he knows NO bounds and has NO decency about him.

True enough, but I dont see...nor do i sense any IMMEDIATE danger looming over us ...at least for a while today.

He is not as infallible as he'd like us to think. He exhausted MOST of the power he gained from Arielle trying to kill US last night. His frequent apparences to this plane of existence are actually prooving how sloppy he is in his EARLY return.

Morgan: So what exactly does that mean for us...I mean, we dont expect villains to POLITELY wait until we are done with things like funerals...

Alison: It means that the next time we face him...we're going to be seeing him in HIS realm...the dream zone. How we come to be there will be one of extreme urgency involving...one of our own...

:: looking at Apartment 3...SHARON'S apartment.::

But let's not talk about this now, okay?

::indicating that they needed to deal with one thing at a time. beside...while they were burying Arielle, Alison couldnt help but secretly fear they might be burying Cameron for REAL this time in a few days...and THEN what!? ::

:: Haleigh, Karen, Mike, Sharon and Nicolas had yet to appear and then they would be on their way.::

apartment 2

<< Karen only enjoyed the faintest illusion of rest. Her mind was ablaze with all she had experienced during her reunion with her grammie. So many people would give so much for even ONE MOMENT with a lost loved one and Karen had that and so much more! she was both greatfull but also hurt, feeling that Grammie had robbed her of a fair chance to HELP HER avoid dying indirectly from Barbas' hauntings after her defeating him so many decades earlier. After all, Grammie had given SO MUCH to protect her. Karen was a grown woman by the time Grammie died...she should have had the chance to at least TRY to do SOMETHING in return. Still, She understand why Grammie did what she did...the bigger picture of it all and at least they had the chance to talk about it from beyond the grave.>>

<< THAT gave Karen some solace and comfort. >>

<< the evening had been so rocky and now came the time to lay Arielle to rest and ensure her safe passage so that she would join Grammie and so many other witches who had gone before her.>>

<< Karen still ached in her heart over the young girl's violent death...knowing they were so close to rescue her but it was not good enough against Barbas! :( >>

<< she spent the rest of the night with her daughter in apartment four. returning to Mike's apartment after dawn to check on him and refresh herself and prepare for the funeral. after a while she sat silent and motionless for a long time. She was wearing a black Calvin Klein sleveless sable dress. Her hair was sleek and styled in the classic flip style.>>

<< the the sorceress felt very muted in her mind right now. She'd reuinted and leaerned many things from her Grammie but she knew the danger was still ever present. Barbas would strike in earnest soon and she had to be prepared. There was also the matter of Mike, whom she was still rather cross with due to his unseemly behavior and choice of language. She cared for him dearly but sometimes she was appalled by his behavior.>>

<< still, she knew he cared for her and he had been so kind to her...such a rock during this horrid nightmare enduring it along side her.>>

<< slipping on HER white rose corsage, she stood up, and took her cape
and wrapped around her dress which fit her feminine form perfectly. She too was wearing black high heels and as she finished up, she called for Mike.>>

Come along, Michael. It's time we were going.

<< her voice was elegant yet weary at the same time. this day would not be easy for her but it was important to be there for Arielle's coven sisters and family. She needed to say goodbye to this young woman and ensure she had a peacefull existence outside this mortal realm.>>

<< and in the back of her mind, she felt like there was more to this than the funeral, like this would not be the final Arielle's short life and legacy would have bearing on her own life.>>

<< she quitely left her dressing room, and joined the others outside. her dress and cape immediately gave her the look of a sophisticated woman with style and grace but the cape also provided comfort against the breezy cool air they were now in. She greeted her daughter, Alison and Delilah with a hug and took Blaze's hands into her own, greeting her as well. all the women looked suitably attired...with Morgan and Alison still managing to push the envelope even in their "conservative" dresses ;) and Delilah and Blaze there to lend their support looking fresh and youthfull. >>

Are the others coming soon? we don't want to be late.

Mike walked slowly back to his own apartment. He knew that tonight was productive, but how much? He did not know. He DID know that he needed sleep, and he suspected that Barbas has spent his load already rumbling with Nicolas after engaging them all.

He slept deeply, only being awakened once Karen arrived to get ready for the funeral. For once he did not exercise today, only stretching before washing and putting on his suit with vest, deciding for a more formal appearance for the occasion. He was disturbed as well...Arielle was pretty and young and did not deserve this. It ate at him a bit, and he gained strength from comforting Karen as she grieved.

He emerged with her, walking to the others. He was uncharacteristically silent, only nodding respectfully to the others, and his face betrayed some of his own feelings.

Nicolas watched as the others met in the courtyard. He could feel Mike's sadness, and he exhaled deeply as he walked down to meet the others. He took a clue from the older man, nodding respectfully to everyone, then giving Mike's shoulder a supportive squeeze before silently standing and waiting for the car to arrive.

Delilah twisted a lock of hair as she sat thinking, when she heard Alison come out of the guest room and enter the living room. Delilah gave her a sympathetic smile.

Harbinger said:
You know…if it hadn't been for Nicolas the other night...Barbas would have killed me in the dream zone. He ALMOST had me...just like in the ALLEY when Firebird saved me!

It's hard to deal with him [Nicolas] ...and I don't condone his behavior 90 % of the time...but I can't forget that he did THAT.

Delilah sighed and massaged her temples for a few seconds before looking back at Alison.

“Not you too…I’m THANKFUL that he rescued you. I’m HAPPY that he has helped us in the past. BUT that doesn’t make him my lord Jesus and personal savior! He acts like we should kiss his feet because he’s done his JOB – and like HE’S the only one of us who every puts their life on the line for anyone else. He FORGETS the times that ALL OF US have protected HIM. The holier-than-thou martyr complex thing is making me crazy.”

She got up and went to the kitchen, retrieving a small rocks glass and pouring three fingers of whiskey into it, motioning to Alison and raising her eyebrows as she did so, silently offering one to her guest. She took a drink, then walked back into the living room.

“For how long did we tolerate Haleigh as a necessary evil in the team? For a second I thought we could do the same with him. But the difference is that Nicolas is incapable of just doing his job. He HAS to be whining about how SOMEONE has mistreated him, and if he doesn’t have something at that moment he’ll make it up. Just like he did yesterday by whipping his ‘I don’t like you because your alternate treated me like a dog’ crap out of his butt.”

She sat down, and took another sip of her drink.

“You know what? I think that he grew up with so many people telling him how special he was, that now that he’s just ‘one of the gang’ he doesn’t know what to do.”

She looked at Alison and rolled her eyes.

“Okay, I’m sorry, rant over. Let’s go.”

She followed Alison outside to meet Morgan and Blaze, locking the door behind them. As if that would keep the bad guys out…

Courtyard

Blaze would offer her taller sister a warm smile, "Hey stranger." Glancing over Morgan's wardrobe, the fire mutant smirked.

you look nice.

"Right back at ya, are you trying to pick up a fine-young stud." A playful wink had been warranted to tease Morgan, a vain attempt to raise her sisters spirits on such a dreary day.

i guess staying up half the night didnt put a dent in our beauty rest.

I've already called for a car. It should be coming shortly. We can wait for the others.

"Of course not! Beauty radiates where ever we go."

Her smile fell as Morgan became serious, "Sounds good." Following Morgan down the remaining stairs to walk over to the courtyard. Alison and Delilah soon followed them then Mike and Karen with Nicolas arriving shortly.

Blaze didn't bother to greet Nicolas or Mike, she was still furious with both. Karen would take Blaze's hands in her own. Gently leaning in to offer Karen a warm hug.

Pulling back, Blaze's head glanced in the direction of Claudia and Clara's apartment. A faint glow of amber would ignite across her eyes before she looked away.

Oh, they are going to need a body bag when I'm done with you sweet, Claudia. And if your sister gets in the way I'll burn that bitch up too

Blaze thought bitterly to herself before she glanced in Delilah and Alison's direction. Seeing Alison with the white streak in her hair was only a sore reminder what the team had lost.

Not too simple, not too overstated. This was, after all, a funeral. An average black dress with a decently low neckline. Haleigh was confident enough to know even a simple dress would look good. Haleigh put the finishing touches on herself, coming back out into her living room, to find Zach standing and watching tv. He gave her a smile and turned off the tv, setting the remote down on the end table.

Zach: "I had a look around… I didn't see any water damage or moisture. You say she flooded this place?"

"Oh yeah… about two or three inches deep. I mean… I can't PROVE it was her… but I know."

Zach: "Mmm."

She straightened the knot of his tie and looked him over, and neither of them said anything more about Claudia. He didn't mention seeing her the night before… and she didn't ask. She trusted him… she didn't want to tell him who he could and couldn't talk to or look at… that was silly and controlling…. and so WHAT if they saw each other? He was in a public place when Haleigh had found him… she didn't expect him to control who came and went from the Tropicana and for all she knew, they'd looked at each other and said nothing more than hello… HELL, for all SHE knew, Claudia had cornered him and left him with no choice. Haleigh was a little irritated with Nicolas for even mentioning it. He acted like he'd 'accidentally' brought it up and THEN realized she didn't know.. But from his previous boasts about his telepathy, he should've KNOWN she wasn't aware and in THAT case… he was just outing Zach for no reason other than to spite Zach, or else to distract Haleigh away from the current topic, which was Nicolas' own fuckup, not Zach's.

"Alright then... Let's get this over with."

Had Haleigh asked Zach to come along as a declaration of their renewed flame… as a defiant statement against Nicolas' suggestion that she needed 'protection' from him… or for a completely unrelated reason altogether? It was anybody's guess. Zach wasn't interested in causing any trouble…. So as long as everyone else behaved… there wouldn't be a problem. Haleigh took his hand gently as they left the apartment. Everyone was gathered, waiting for the car to arrive. It wasn't very far away. Haleigh smiled gently.

"You all remember Zach."

Might as well say it and acknowledge any wierdness NOW, before they all climbed into a tight space together.

"The car's pulling up now."

Zach smoothed his hair, as he evaluated his reflection in a mirror, not really paying attention to the tv. He looked his sharpest, but kept it simple… black shirt, black tie, black jacket. Haleigh came out, looking as good as ever. He tried to keep in mind that they were going to a funeral. He turned off the TV.

"I had a look around… I didn't see any water damage or moisture. You say she flooded this place?"

Haleigh:"Oh yeah… about two or three inches deep. I mean… I can't PROVE it was her… but I know."

"Mmm."

He responded. He knew better than to draw out the conversation… he hadn't mentioned running into Claudia at the bar-- they'd only talked, really, no big deal-- plus he didn't want to get her worked up and more irritated. Something was already bothering her, and his being here was supposed to help with that. He wasn't really thrilled at the prospect of having to put up with Mike or Nicolas and their attitudes…. And he wasn't sure how the others would receive him… not to mention Sharon…. But Haleigh had asked him, and he was happy to oblige. He was nonconfrontational by nature and would be a 'good boy'… just so long as everyone else did. Holding Haleigh's hand, they went together out into the courtyard… everyone was there… including Mike and Nicolas. He didn't give them a nasty look or anything… but he wasn't afraid to make eye contact either.

Haleigh: "You all remember Zach."

He look around at the solemn crowd, a polite, gentle smile. Haleigh had mentioned this was particularly difficult for Karen, Morgan, and Alison, who were sister witches… and Zach sensed their pain.. But the general mood was guilt. Everyone wished they could've saved this girl instead.

Courtyard

Last but definitely not least of the entourage, Haleigh and Zach would meet with the others. Only causing Blaze to grin with vicious glee to look in Nicolas' direction. It was a slap in the face of Nicolas, good!

Haleigh: "You all remember Zach."

"Oh definitely, how could we forget you, handsome?"

Blaze smiled over to him stepping closer. Leaning in to whisper into his ear for his benefit only. "I always thought you belonged with Haleigh best. Take good care of her, she's a handful."

Stepping back away, Blaze nodded to Haleigh. "I can see why you've been keeping him all to yourself." :hehe2: Teasing the blonde with a smile. Blaze wasn't going to deny beauty especially Zach. He was very attractive but so was she. A beautiful couple.

"As I was telling Haleigh we'll have to go out for some drinks, you're welcome to join us, Zach." If anyone could handle Haleigh it was Zach.

One might be inclined to argue that Blaze was the reason Haleigh and Zach were together. Had she not inquired if the hybrid was pregnant with Nicolas' baby she wouldn't have visited him in New York.

"The car's pulling up now."

Nodding along to wait for the car to completely stop.

Nicolas watched as Haleigh made her entrance, with Zach no less. Minds were ablaze with how he would react, but he would not, at least not negatively. Verna had spoken to them all about letting go, and this for him was a part of that. Zach was Haleigh's choice, and THEY weren't ever together in any case. He only hoped that he would make her happy. She deserved that. He nodded to them both and continued to wait for the car, which was arriving.

into the courtyard

[ Sharon finished tending to her silver gryfalcons. humming softly as she lulled them into a nap. she'd exercise them when she returned from the funeral.]

[ for now...she concentrated as the silver adamantium that was apart of her body flowed like mercury and shifted to her will. the mental discipline and training tought her by the amazons allowed her to further control her body and all aspects of it...like this.]

[ Soon she was in a tailored silver dress with matching high heels. It was a simple dress. She felt it was unnecessary to try to do much MORE considering she was going to cover it up in a trendy BLACK trench coat that gave her a the suitable look she wanted for today. the only limitation to this aspect of her power was that any clothing she manifested was ALWAYS silver. she couldnt change the color...only the content and material.]

[ pulling her hair back into a stylish, glossed bun, the mutate exited her apartment and joined the others in the courtyard on this grey, windy day.]

[ she took note of Zach. some people were perhaps more BOLD than intelligent? still, she could hardly be bothered with him. her TRUE anger and resentment was held ESPECIALLY for Nicolas :D, the boy who LIED to her face and then DARED to challenge her judgement by saying "OTHER PEOPLE among the six had shadey pasts". as if NONE of her work as a senator against the Zaccharas had ANY meaning anymore? at this point she was TOO through with him. That could change once she realized that this young man was not who she thought...or HOPED he would be but for NOW? she wanted nothing to do with him.]

[ she quietly greeted everyone and took Karen's hand into her own, gently squeezing it.]

[ looking at Haleigh.]

Claudia probably thinks you're the one who trashed her apartment the othernight...but it was me. I tore it up after ....[ gritting her teeth] Nicolas... prevailed upon Alison and myself to help him SAVE her from Barbas that evening.

If you like, I can tell her that I was the one who did it.

[ she said this in part because she wanted another chance to hit Claudia in the face :D not realizing that BLAZE also was going to confront Clara this afternoon as soon as the opportunity to present itself.]

I'm not afraid of her or what she might try to do.

to the cemetary

<< The escalade stretch arrives and the group heads out of the courtyard onto Melrose Avenue. Mike helps Karen into the car first. the others get in with Sharon noticeably SNUBBING a helping hand from Nicolas as she climbs in.>>

<< everyone is seated some look more relaxed than others and soon they are on their way to the cemetary with a few words spoken here and there.>>

<< the winds blew and even gusted as the stretch arrived, allowing the passengers to disembark and walk toward the procession, now already in progress with the casket in front and the family as well as Arielle's coven walking the women of the coven also had on white rose corsages. the Six joined toward the back with Karen the front of their own little group and the other witches with white rose corsages right behind her.>>

<< soon the solemn march ends at the burial plot where the family (few that there were) and some coven sisters were seated. a spot was saved for Karen and the rest stood behind them.>>

<< the priest began to eulogize Arielle. >>

<< as the service begins...the winds continue to persist but not to an ALARMING degree. not YET anyway.>>

<< from a few feet away...a cloaked figure can be seen just bearely peering out from behind a large memorial statue. the figure is wearing a hodded cloak and its impossible to tell WHO it is...its not Ororo, that much is certain. the figure stands and watches not bothering exactly to hide him (or her) self from any eyes that might notice them. >>

Delilah rode silently to the funeral. Her eyes did find a way of sliding towards Zach every now and then, however. He was nice to look at...but still she had to roll her eyes at Blaze practically drowning them all in her saliva as she drooled over him.

The funeral itself was progressing much as she expected, much as all funerals she had been to did. There was no reason for her to really say anything...she just stood there, trying to look empathetic, and getting ready to offer Arielle's family and sister witches her condolences.

Her eyes started to wander during the service, and they were caught on a strange figure. Someone didn't want to be seen at this funeral. Delilah found it odd but not terribly so. For if someone wanted to threaten them, they'd have attacked - not stood there watching. Delilah didn't give the figure much thought as she forced herself to pay attention to the priest. But for some reason, her attention kept being drawn to that cloaked figure...

Nicolas was slightly stung by Sharon's continued reticence, but it was his own fault, and so he silently entered last into the limousine and looked out of the window as the drive proceeded. He exited first and opened the door, offering a hand to whoever decided to take it. He turned and made his way to the graveside.

The funeral proceeded as planned...but he noticed a cloaked figure watching them. He noted the non-threatening stance of the figure, but decided to do a full scan to try to determine who he or she was. The past few days were hard on them all, and he was in no mood for surprises.

the cemetary

<< crossing her long, smooth FLAWLESS (tm) legs in the escalade stretch, Morgan took a moment to admire her perfectly manicured nails and primping in her estee' lauder compact.>>

hmm. hair, lipstick...eye make up...FLAWLESS. just like ME!

<< the renewed sense of empowerment and determination that she felt carried over into other aspects of her presentation as well. she was DEFINATELY getting back to her "old self" . that would be great for some...and BAD for others :D>>

<< Morgan lightly regarded Zach. She never thought much of him BEFORE really. He was never rude to her and so she had no reason to bust his pretty little face :D and if he could handle HALEIGH and ALL her ways? then more power TO him! Like Mike, he was more seasoned as a man than Nicolas and whether he was seen as a piece of arm candy or not...he'd been loyal to Haleigh and the team...keeping their secret and offering support where he could. The question was...how long before SHARON decided she couldnt be bothered to look at him and dragged him from oneside of the courtyard to the other? Haleigh seemed to blame Sharon for Zach's WILLING participation in their trist many moons ago..back when she wasnt even "WITH" Zach. How long before THAT became a problem? So far Sharon and Haleigh seemed to co exist and WORK well together but that was it.>>

<< after the ride to the cemetary, everyone got out and quietly made their way to join the procession toward the back of the group already walking. Karen was at the front of the Six's group with Mike escorting her and Morgan and Alison directly behind them. Delilah and Blaze followed then Haleigh and Zach...and Sharon, who would not walk with Nicolas.>>

<< as the walked...the other sister witches also wore white rose corsages. it a solemn showing of solidarity. these witches endured much loss...their FIRST high priestess, Amanda Sefton had disappeared shortly after Barbas first arrived in this reality...and now Arielle was dead. Morgan couldnt help but wonder what the future held for this coven, but she didnt know that her own mother figured into it.>>

<< as they made their way to the burial plot and those who had a seat reserved were seated, Morgan stood behind her mother who was among those seated. Mike was next to Morgan. He infuriated her...but so far he'd done right by her mother and she was okay with sharing the supportive role with him. He was NOTHING like Christopher. Lucky for HIM.>>

<< the service began and Morgan and Alison BOTH could feel the sadness of the young witches among them. They were hurting. Spellbinder and Harbinger looked crestfallen and Morgan placed a hand on her mother's shoulder as she felt her mother shudder with grief.>>

<< something was wrong...>>
