THE Madonna Megamix

doesnt it look professional? i could see this being played at a club. the mix itself is awesome and totally danceable! Madonna herself has said that she's amazed at how DJ's around the world have taken her songs and remixed them and in some cases she felt they were BETTER than the original track. that was in part what inspired her to do "Confessions from a dance floor" .
 
i love how he has enhanced the tracks he uses in the megamix, adding little extra beats or sounds. and the montage of images and clips blends perfectly. Madonna has remained beautifull and remarkably in shape for over 20 years...and damn can she dance :nod:

This happened with "Like a Prayer" which used a remix for her famous Immaculate Collection, right? I seem to recall there was some drama and mixed wires about it -- as she included a more "dancable" version, than the traditional, more 80's power-ballad style. I'm still not sure if it was a good choice or not but most certainly an excellent song either way.

I believe the version of Like A Prayer from the "Immaculate Collection" was actually the performance as it occurred in her "Blonde Ambition" tour, several songs were taken from live performances from her current concert tour (at the time) and that version of Like a Prayer as well as Express Yourself became QUITE popular due to their stronger bass lines and for being more "club friendly/danceable" as you said.

But that's what Madonna does..she'll mix things up randomly and so while the Immaculate Collection was supposed to be a "greatest hits" set...she STILL managed to make some of her modern classics sound fresh and new for that album, its one of the reasons the album stayed on the charts for SO LONG.

did you like the megamix featured in this thread? I think its amazing that this was made by a youtube viewer. there's some people out there with amazing production/remixing skills. MADONNA herself should see this megamix video lol
 
I loved the Megamix. It really did take skill and I wouldn't be surprised if it was done by a professional. The sound way amazing and the video complimented it perfectly.
 
It was pretty good, but not a favorite of mine. I felt like there could have been more songs than what was offered.

I liked this version much better, its shorter but I think its HOT! Madonna -Thunderpuss GHV2 Megamix.

Any sort of Thunderpuss remix is bound to be hot! I'm a fan of remixes, megamixes, and the whole shebang. I liked the visuals here, it was more dreamy and the water affects were pretty cool. For 3 minutes and 31 seconds I found it entertaining. It flowed more smoothly, in my opinion.

I just love working with DSL LOL! :nod: I'd love to see Sam create one. :p
