The Initiative program

[Black King]

i'm wondering after reading Avengers: Initiative #3 is any one else having second thoughts about whether registration was a bad idea. it had some bad points sure the "Scarlet Spiders" team, the S.P.I.N. tech but it did show the more positive points of the law like CPR training, Combat practice with guest commander Ben Grimm, tutoring in the control of powers. i think with a program like this the death of Gwen Stacy could have been prevented. Ya or Na on "The Initiative"?

Seriously, the whol civil war and registration issue has been the only thing that has EVER wanted me to read comics. I know it might have been bad for hardcore comic lovers, but I think it is a great and fresh idea..

But, I think it takes a little less of this from the fantasy aspect of the whole marvel universe. Are all the mutants going to become cops and members of SHIELD now?

It is weird but promising and I think for the first time I will actually pick up a comic book issue, I have never BOUGHT one before.. I have only been given them, so I think it is a good idea personally.

[Black King]

the need for the Initiative pretty much grew out of the fact that the mutants are an endangered species. There are only about 200 left around and Zero being born. with a lack of super powered individuals (no more mutant cops) in law enforcement i think thats why they started the draft.

To be honest, the whole Initiative thing bores me. All these new teams etc...I don't know. Though to be honest, I haven't picked up #3 yet.

[The Doctor]

The Initiative is not going last much once The Hulk has killed Stark and declared himself ruler of Earth! Well at least I am banking on that happening. I mean Stark is trying to force everyone under his rule, heck he was even bombarding Nova (in his own series of course) with this whole "it's the right thing to do but what I am saying is it's actually for my own benefit" speech. I am wondering though if a cosmic super-hero like the Silver Surfer or Captain Universe come to Earth are they going to have to register their identities as well even though they are only visiting? But...of course who could possibly make a cosmic super-hero sign up with the registration? Stark? Don't make me burst a lung!
