I went with my mom (lol) to see this New Year's Eve (and contrary to my belief the cineplex was PACKED). I love love loved it. Despite not liking Cameron Diaz too much. Kate Winslet is fabulous - every time her character cried, so did I, and I don't cry in crowded movie theaters, especially with my mom sitting next to me. I think her story got a little short-changed on time (would love to see a director's cut), but overall loved it and wanted to watch it again right away. It's a little over two hours but it didn't have you looking at your watch wondering when it would end.

Anyone else see it?

i went to see it with my sister last week, and i was surprised. I had really wanted to go see We Are Marshall instead, and it wasnt that i thought the movie would be stupid, just that i could have waited until it was released on DVD to watch it... but i really loved it too. It was a lot funnier than I'd anticipated and the story was really good, on both sides.... I agree with you about Kate Winslet, she's wonderful.

Overall I was really impressed with it. :tup:

Yeah I had wanted to see it, but thought it's more of a movie you wait for the DVD like you said. But my mom will not see anything action-y lol, so that was the one we could agree on.

Oh good! I've wanted to see this movie so badly, but I've been so afraid it was going to be a flop or really dumb that I didn't want to waste my money. Thanks for your reviews. I'm going to go see it as soon as I can.
