The Hobbit

Yep, no more than two movies should have been necessary for this, now they just added a bunch of stuff that did not happen in the book, they used the same "recipe" that was used making LOTR....
How did a childrens book become a 3hour actionfest?

I remember when i read the book as a kid one of the things i found rad was that this book had curse words in it :D

they used stuff from Appendix so technically it did happened just not in the sequence of events that we actually read in the book itself. Still need to see it though

Some of the stuff was from the appendix, but the chase with radagast and the orc's did not happen, and Azog was not alive, he was killed in the battle with the dwarves at Moria.
Also i am almost positively sure that radagast never made an appearance in the hobbit.

I'll check in my Encyclopedia of Middle Earth when I get home...I don't think he was in there but I'm not certain now.

Finally got around watching The Hobbit.

I guess I liked it, was pretty much as I had expected.
But I do think they take the action stuff too far. The falls are too high, the Goblins too many etc. It's so over the top that it gets kinda ridiculous.

The movie went by very quickly though so it's all good. :)

/SK

I watched it and really enjoyed it but I did't get the epic feel that the Lord of the Rings had, maybe it was just me but it really didn't capture me in a strong way.
