The Gala Event

:: And so the Battle of the Bitches was on. There was no way that after what Helena had just let fall out of her mouth as easily as if she was discussing what kind of salad she wanted at lunch would none of the women were going to let Helena get away that easily. And we're off! It was Morgan! He should've figured as much. She began to charge Helena and.. oh my god ladies and gentlemen, it appears that Morgan Victoria has delivered a devastating blow to Helena Quartermaine. It looks as if Helena might be down for the count. The glass shattered everywhere. Cameron cringed ::

"Ah man... not the glass windows and doors! Just had those replaced..."

:: He looked to Alexis as he came over and put his arm around her and embraced her into a deep hug. He kissed the top of her forehead. ::

"Are you okay, Lex? Do you want to go home? You can stay in any of the rooms here tonight if you wish.."

Helena was yanked back, turning to see Morgan, holding her. Snatching her arm out of Morgan's grasp, she narrowed her eyes at the demon sorceress not expecting what was to happen next. Soon, Morgan's fist met with Helena's mouth, sending the woman flying OUT The Parthenon doors and sliding onto the street. Groaning...that was a definite no no....She pushed her weight up off the ground in time to notice a bus about to hit her. As Morgan watched with delight, the bus ran over where Helena was only leaving her dress tumbling in the street behind....however Helena wasn't dead. Far from it. A crow could be heard squawking in the distance--ultimately Helena--flying off to tend to her wound.

:: Guardian came up and stood beside Morgan ...as the Bus' horn blared...but alas there was no body impact::

she got away...just as knew she would.

:: Alison lookd back Cameron and Alexis...before turning around again and sighing....she thrust her hand forward....and waved it in a circular motion , counter clock wise::

:: an eerie "rewind" sound could be heard as she turns back time and restores the integrity of the glass doors and windows...all the fragments and debris quickly flowing back into place as it had been before Morgan struck Helena.::

well ..now no one will be the wiser.

I think we should end this gala....Alexis needs time to cope with the trauma...and Morgan needs to see to her mother....in case there is a retaliation strike. I will release these people...Cameron..you can subtlely compell them all to disembark...but do NOT touch Sharon Kelly or Alycia Barnett...ill need them BOTH to help ME do some "checking" on Helena.

Watching Morgan deck Helena through teary eyes...she didn't even feel satisfied. She didn't feel anything at all up until Cameron hugged her. Then it hit her. What really happened. What was really going on. Alexis' heart began to race. Her breathing began to pick up. She struggled to get away from Cameron, pushing herself away from him. Backing into a waiter which was behind her, the tray went crashing to the floor--the glass and drinks splashing everywhere. Quickly turning around...Alexis grew dizzy. Her anxiety level was elevating....the room was spinning. Grabbing her head, she closed her eyes as the others could hear the small gasps of air she was desperately trying to suck in.

Stumbling forward, she quickly began to make her way through the crowd of frozen people. Bumping off of them; not exactly being able to keep her balance well. Finally reaching a table, she hunched forward, grabbing the edge of the table with her hands, gripping tightly. Closing her eyes, she began to sob...her brother was dead. The words that Helena said were tearing into her like nothing had ever before. Blaze and Haleigh's deaths resurfaced...everything was hitting Alexis like a freight train. Screaming out of anguish, she literally flipped the table over, sending it flying into a wall. Strength not even Alexis knew she had. Dropping to the floor, her sobs grew louder...no one had EVER seen Alexis like this. Hell, she had NEVER been like this. Normally she would internalize everything....or let out a burst of emotion then surpress it. The closest anyone had actual ever seen of Alexis crying was when she found out Adam was alive...but that was brief. This...this was heart wenching. Her world had come tumbling down around her.

:: Cameron nodded as Alison set forthe a plan of action. Looking out into the sea of people, Prophet began to focus on them as a whole. His eyes flashed a bright electric blue for a few seconds before time was restored to it's normal movement and everyone began to pack up and leave. As the guests walked out they all waved and laughed and thanked Morgan, Cameron and Alexis for a wonderful evening. Cameron thanked them back as he turned back to the group ::

"Okay, that's all taken care of.. you want me to take care of Alexis? We need to get her out of here. We don't want her personal anguish all over the Enquirer..."

:: Prophet walked over to Alexis and knelt down with her, whiping the hair from her face and her wet cheeks from the tears. He looked at her honestly as a friend ::

"Come on, Lex.. come up to my suite... we can talk.. or not, you can just get some sleep.. Come on..."

:: Cameron extended his hand ::

Alison and Morgan

::Guardian released the gala...and the guests went on to their various spots or homes...non the wiser with a little mind touch from Prophet. now it was just Morgan Alison, Cameron, Alexis...and Adrian. He had gone by anyone's notice and was still there.::

:: Alison and Morgan stood together...watching with shock and sadness as Aleixis fell apart. It really hit Morgan hard...reminding her of Blaze...as she put her hand to her mouth..she found herself getting misty eyed...and ALISON too had a look of sadness on her face...these women of power...were PowerLESS to do anything about what just took place..Morgan had done all she could by throwing Helena through a window...but now....here was the aftermath::

I dont know what more we can do right now.........and I RARELY say that.

:: Guardian stood...with her arms folded as she looked away for a moment::

:: Shrugging off Cameron's touch, Alexis turned away from him, shaking her head. She couldn't even speak at this point...she just wanted to numb the pain. Pushing herself up off the ground, she began to head to the bar...This was probably the most vulnerable Alexis had ever been. In front of anyone. Especially those in association with The Six. Normally she would suck it up to keep her "tough bitch" exterior from being questioned. But in all honesty, she didn't care who saw her like this. She couldn't hold anything in at this point. Grabbing one of the bottles of Vodka that Adrian and his hoard of hussies were drinking, she pressed her lips against the open bottle and took a large swig of it. The liquid burning her throat...the liquid easing her mind. 286 days of sobriety out the door....Helena was right. Everything she said was right. She couldn't hold on to a man: Case and point, Cameron. Couldn't hold onto her sobriety. Could barely hold onto her sanity at this point. It was the weakest, most vulnerable, and horrible vision of Alexis Chandler-Quartermaine any has every seen. ::

:: As soon as Alexis headed to the bar, Cameron was eyeing her like a hawk, when she picked up the bottle of Vodka he willed it out of her hands with his Telekinesis. She was becoming a mess. He had to take drastic matters. Looking at her as their eyes Met, suddenly Alexis was almost frozen before her eyes rolled in the back of her head and she fell on the ground unconscious. Cameron had telepathically shut her down. He walked over to the bar and picked her up, throwing her almost over her shoulder as he looked back at Alison ::

"I am going to get her a room and let her calm down.. I will make sure I empty out the Mini Bar.. Don't worry she would be okay..."

:: Alexis would only be unconscious for a few moments, and would probably wake up before they got to the room but it was a risk Cameron had to take. He didn't want her to throw everything out the window that she had changed about herself because of the harsh words of one woman. As he grabbed a room key from the main lobby, and headed in the elevator, he wondered if she would be okay ::

:: Blast Cameron and his kind heart....Alexis' hand went limp as the bottle fell to the ground. And Soon, she followed suite. Unconscious and unable to intoxicate herself, Cameron scooped her up and proceed to take her into the elevator in which went up to her room. Even though Alexis was supposed to be Unconscious for mere minutes...her body just completely shut down. Probably from stress...but she was out for the count. At least for a little while. ::

leaving

<< Spellbinder as standing by one of the tables...with her clutch in her hand. slowly exhaling. it was a night of dizzying highs...and bitter lows. surprisingly, her hair and make up were all in tact..and though she looked weary in the face...her ensemble still looked as crisp and chic as it did when she first arrived>>

Alison, im going to my mother's for the night...i need to stay with her for a day or so. she handled Helena's "troops" with ease and Helena herself..but she was shaken up from the sudden onslaught and the surprise of it all. I want to make sure there is no retaliation.

When you get back to Illustra..find out what you can on her....and would you look in on Tinkerbell?

<< as she and Guardian talked...they both remarked on how lovely an evening it had been...and when it came to what happened with Helena...they both just shook their heads>>

take care ...and ill see you in a couple of days

<<after hugging her dear friend, Spellbinder stepped back...and as she waved...a blast of thunder heralds the opening of a stepping disc...and Spellbinder teleports in the blink of an eye...out of sight and across town to the soho district>>

Departure

Behind the bar, a flushed Adrian hastily wiped off some of the excess cream left on his chest, which glistened with the combination of glucose, alcohol and saliva. Blatant teeth marks around his nipples and abs quickly disappeared as he buttoned up his dress shirt, thinking.

He had heard and seen everything. Frustratingly, the man could gouge no solid reaction from what occurred, especially when he spotted Alexis deliriously reach the bar and proceed to intoxicate herself. Of course, Cameron, ever the one to waste Adrian's opportunities, had taken the liberty of saving her from herself. He watched them both exit with a passive face, yet took interest in Morgan and Alison, who stayed behind, if only for a little while.

Grabbing his suit coat as Morgan left with the summoning of a stepping disc, Adrian walked towards Guardian. "It sucks we had to meet in such unfortunate circumstances, Alison," Adrian said genially, adjusting his cuffs but watching her out of the corner of his eye. That tone of cool certainty that had permeated Adrian's speech patterns earlier was gone. He would not make the same mistake again. And although she had given him a stern ultimatum, he felt that the current situation would give him the necessary leverage to address her without provocation.

"I didn't wanna hurt Cameron King. But he trespassed, Alison. He stole from me the only part of myself that the fans, the paparazzi and the media couldn't touch. He violated my mind, when my only prerogative was to meet you and Ms. Victoria tonight," Adrian said, now turning to regard her frankly with his beautiful brown eyes. Most women would blush.

Adrian didn't expect so much as a skip of her heartbeat.

"I don't really know what he or you are capable of," Adrian stated, grinning ruefully. "And I don't wanna wake the proverbial bear out of its hibernation, but I think, Alison, that you'll find I can be a most useful ally."

Adrian shrugged his broad shoulders, moving like a cat now as he neared her, that finely muscled body shifting smoothly underneath the tailored suit. In a flash, he had pulled out his business card, laying it down on the table near her. "I ain't out to get anyone. Just trying to make a name for myself," he said, laughing lightly and graciously bowing his head as he finished, "Good night."

Adrian turned and walked to the main lobby, his suit coat slung confidently over one shoulder. He was one of the few attendees that had chosen to spend the night and experience the pleasures that The Parthenon had to offer -- most had more extravagant homes nearby but fuck, he was tired, and he just wanted to go to bed.

"Lockhart, Adrian," he said as the concierge greeted him. Ignoring the look of recognition and shock on the man's face, he took his keys and with a quickly muttered "goodbye", entered an elevator that carried him to his room. Stepping out as it stopped at his floor, Adrian felt a vibration in his pocket and took out his cell-phone. A few seconds later, and he interrupted the voice on the other end. "No. Just..just send them to me tomorrow. Yes. Thanks a lot, man. Yeah, you too. Bye."

Adrian closed his cell phone and opened the door with his room key. It didn't take any hesitation for him to simply fall down on the king-sized bed in this suite and fall asleep -- mentally, physically and emotionally exhausted.

What a night.
