If there was a daytime soap that I came close to caring about as much as i did my prime time soaps like Dynasty and Melrose Place...it would be this show. It's Y&R's "sister show" and so several characters/plots crossed over during the many years the shows have been on the air.

I remember the year it debuted, watching the first episode (after Y&R had went off that day) and being drawn into it. I think because it focused so much on FASHION as well as the traditional soap plots. It also features one of my favorite TV theme songs.

My favorite characters: Sally Spectra, Macy Alexander, and Y&R crossovers Lauren Fenmore & Sheila Carter (Daytime's answer to "Kimberly Shaw")

The how has had many strong plots but NOW its just not the same to me, especially with Darlene Conley, the actress who played Sally Spectra, passing away in 2007

Anyone else watch this at all?

I started watching The Bold and the Beautiful last week because Sarah Brown became apart of the cast. She plays Sandy Somers...a vast contrast to her character Claudia Zacchara on General Hospital. And what makes me even happier is that Rick Hearst who played Ric Lansing on GH [and was one of Claudia's love interest] plays Whip on B&B too, and their characters are supposed to be interacting soon. So it's a mini GH reunion. lol. But honestly, I only watch the scenes with either Sandy or Whip in them. The show as a whole doesn't interest me much.

wow! LOL you JUST began with it lol and you've missed SO MUCH of its history! I'm feeling a major disconnect from B&B this year...from the revamped theme song...to the loss of so many classic characters (either because the person playing them died or the character was killed off).

But B&B is a well respected show, 2nd only to Y&R in the ratings on CBS apparently.
