I just got done watching the pilot episode of this new series and I must say, this is the best thing I've seen on TV in quite some time. Granted, I'm biased and probably predisposed towards liking this because I'm a mick, but nonetheless...

It's got heart, a very likeable protagonist and good character development. If any of y'all have itunes, you can download it off there for free.

Check it out, and if you don' like it - I'll buy you a coke. ;)

I watched it last monday and I'm already obsessed with it. At first I wasn't sure if I'd like it... I mean I'm Irish and all, but I'm like this with all shows. The only show that has held my attention with solely their trailors was Heroes. But once I watched it... I loved it. Especially Tommy's devotion to his family. And the fact that the beautiful Olivia Wilde is in it, sweetin's the pot. I've been an Olivia fan for years.

I like it a lot - I have some reservations about whether it's going to keep me watching in the long run, cause it's very heavy, but I thought it was very well done.

I do wish they'd get a hot guy on the show though lol ;)

The scene where he's talking to the girl and then what's his face (the older guy who double crossed them) comes and picks him up in the car - that's right by where I live lol. I remember they'd been filming there, I guess that's what it was for. They were filming there at night a bit ago too so maybe we're getting some night scenes in Washington Square Park ;)

Vil - So you think given the ending and the promise of what to come you'd be less likely to tune in if it seems like a gang war show?

And this is the first I've seen of Olivia Wilde. She's a very talented actress, though.

No, I'm not saying that. I like the theme and everything. It's just a very intense watch and I'm not sure if they will be able to sustain interest. I'm not explaining it well. There has to be something going on week to week that makes you need to see the next episode. I fear this is the kind of show that if you miss an ep, you won't have trouble picking it up again the next one.

(Haven't watched last night's yet)

Actually I felt the exact same way, but I just go with it and hope they'll build up the right amount of momentum.

I watched it last night... it was kind of gory for a TV show. Normally they tone it down, but hey I'm not complaining. Anyways... Jenny really bugged me in the end.

She should've been clear with Tommy before sleeping with him. She just claimed to love him, but then shrugged him off like a one night stand after letting it progress that far.

Yeah it didnt hold my attention.. I dont like Olivia Wilde and it just isnt my scene but it was well put together and well filmed as well ;)
