Styles

Is it alright if I disable the old styles and then add them back one by one? I don't have to do it that way, but it would be simpler to clean out any old files rather than one by one.

And is anyone else in the mood for a new Six banner? :p :p :p :D :D :D
 
do what is easiest for you, vil. :) just please keep us informed.

i wouldnt mind a new six banner. feel free to share ideas for a theme. i dont have one just yet.
 
I actually found one of the old six banners I made with the actor images and I forgot how much I liked it. I definitely think a new revamped six banner would be fun.

But I need to know for sure who you've chosen as Morgan's AI....and if I put Cameron in it? lol

EDIT: and also Alison? Or do you want just the six?
 
i agree with using the actors :) replace cameron with a alison as well. and yes, morgan's av, that i forgot which one i was going to use <<sigh>> lol.
 
I wasn't sure if she changed her mind. *shrug* Just let me know and i'll work on a new banner. :)

Also, i'm loving the layouts! I've been going through all the styles and they're great. :)

I was wondering, some of schemes that are dedicated specifically to forums [red carpet, movies, spin, ect] look really awesome with the new layout that you're doing Vil. I think we should offer those as main scheme option to everyone despite the fact that they're dedicated to specific forums. It would expand the amount of schemes we have and let the prettiness overwhelm the board! lol. we would still keep them as respective schemes for their forums, but also allow people to choose them as a main scheme if they like.

just a suggestion. :)

and PS...and Alcid scheme?! holy hotness batman! :p I definitely want to make a True Blood season 4 scheme once promos come out. :D
 
lol Sarah made that as a present for me for AD lol, so I used it as a tester.

Whatever Farrah wants to do as far as putting the forum-specific styles for use on the whole board is fine with me. I did make the Bewitched one useable to the whole board again though.

Just so you guys know I've held off on redoing the Six one since it's getting a new banner, and I am going to redo Great Escape and Electronica Express because I don't like how they turned out. I'm going to get through all the others ones first though before I go back and fix them.

For any new banners that will be shown on the main page, Sam, that you do in future. The best size for the way the main page is laid out is about 180 pixels tall. Up to 220 works though. If we don't like how our existing styles look at the sizes they are, I did code for AD to have a main page version and a version for the rest of the board.

And I have to apologize Sam, cause I just found an OC banner you must have given me that I never put up. My bad. ;)
 
What I can do is resize all the banners that you haven't resized, and also fix any edges that have shown up since you've moved them or recolored them. :)

It might take me a couple days, i'm swamped with school work. But i'll post all the banners in here since I don't know how you align them to the left and right of the screen.
 
Don't kill yourself about it, Sam ;) I don't think it's urgent. :)

The ones showing smaller on the main page are ones I just allowed the board to cut off the bottom - I only made that space bigger for banners where there was text or where a big important of the picture was at the bottom.

i still prefer the specific forums to have their own styles so yeah whenever you guys can do whatever it is you need to do about the forum specific styles as far as sprucing them up is fine with me. :)
 
So I went over all the styles again, and most of them are fine at the 180 pixel height on the main page (they are regular height on all other pages). Hollywood Boulevard and Vampire Diaries are the only ones that are full size on the main page. And remember, HB looks different when you're logged out, so I really think the size is fine for all of them and they don't need redone.
