Heart Attack
It appears that tea party republicans, along w/ fox news & others are no longer even offering "apologies" for their overt & increasingly vitriolic racist remarks & by example- they are making it seem "acceptable" to their hordes of [idiot] followers that this kind of stuff is acceptable.
I was on my way to work today & saw someone w/ a bumper sticker on their car that read something like
& it had an image of President Obama in red/white/blue along w/ an "O" in the same color w/ the word "IDIOT" in it. i was appalled & amazed.
you see more & more stories about incidents of racial bias & hate crimes all over the place & just this past week, Pat Buchannan called President Obama "BOY" on live television while Fox News referred to the president's birthday celebration as a "hip hop bbq" b/c of their menu & b/c of the guests etc. & whereas before, they'd offer an "apology" & the "it was taken out of context" spin. now they arent even doing that.
attitudes towards diversity are doing backward in this country & thanks to ppl like Palin, Bachman, the republican congressman who called the president a TAR BABY & others...its looking more & more "mainstream" :Flush:
I think this is a problem. What do you think?
