Star Trek

[Cat-Scratch]

So there's a new Trek flick coming...........what do all of you think so far?

I'm thinking it'll be like Transformers, a half descent action flick, but disappointing to old fans in some ways.

The effects look great.

I'm more than a little curious about this flick but i lost a little interest once i saw Harold from "Harold and Kumar" was Sulu. Not sure if prequel was the right way to go but its still Trek.

[Cat-Scratch]

I didn't know that. The cast is mostly unknowns to me except for a few of them like Simon Peg. The fella playing McCoy and the more obvious ones.

[Karma]

im of t he opinion that it will not do well. what else is there to do with the SG movie franchises ? the next generation was the only tv installment popular enough to warrent a film franchise after the original tv series (and its long standing film franchise)

the effects may be good, but what else will there be to look forward to? you'd have to guarantee cameos by more than one famous character from both Star Trek and Star Trek TNG in order to at least please SOME hard core trek fans.

:xyxthumbs:

But as an old fan..........I want the franchise to live........

When I first heard that they were making a new Star Trek movie, I was extremely disappointed that they were doing a prequel. I really wanted to see a movie with the Voyager cast or maybe a combo of both Next Generation and Voyager. But after seeing the trailers for the movie, it looks pretty damn cool. I'm sure it will be a great action movie, but Trek fans are pretty brutal...so who knows if it will be a hit with the Trekkies.

I'll be seeing it regardless. Though i'm still hoping they eventually do a movie with the VOY & TNG cast.

[Cat-Scratch]

I'm mostly thinking of it as a reboot..........so much has been changed otherwise.

[Black King]

Sylar is Spock that is all the alpha and omega of this movie

and if they need to make a movie theres always DS9, Kirk vs Picard bah the real winner is Ben Sisko!

[Cat-Scratch]

You think it's a bad thing with him playing Spock?

[Persephone]

I'm actually really interested to see Syler as Spock.

I'm actually really interested to see Syler as Spock.

Me too. He looks to be the best part of it.

[Lethal]

Im looking frward to it. have you seen the trailer? http://www.apple.com/trailers/paramount/startrek/

[Osiris]

I'm personally getting tired of the "reboots" or "reimagining" They already have Jason and Freddy on the chopping block. But like the geeky sheep I am, I will go see this movie anyway, it had better be good!

[Prophet]

I'm actually really interested to see Syler as Spock.

I am interested to see Syler naked... there is something very sexy about that man... in an odd way... I don't know...

It might be decent.. I will never go to see it. I think Star Trek is UBER lame

[Persephone]

^^ Oh whatever. This coming from a person who uses the word 'uber'? LOL

Anyhow, onto more important topics. Is Syler supposed to get nekkid in the new Star Trek movie?

[Prophet]

Hey different strokes, different folks I just really don't like Star Trek... Sylar I can handle naked... SPOCK... I don't know if i'm ready for that haha.
