Screen Legend has been communicating w/ me via pm & expressed her desire to join the Six.She has a buffy/rpg background. I assumed she was from your board, Vil?
At any rate, I've been working w/ her & her character will be a vamp, which I'll tie to Sam's vamp, Ella in the paused mainstream storyline.
In order to help her get up to speed, I gave her access to the six guide & i've been having her read through arcane archives. She's been following our latest non canon story & that was one of the reasons she finally decided to contact me :nod: so that means WE'RE doing a good job w/ our role play & we still have some readers here & there.
I'm working w/ her on refining her character now so when we start the mainstream story again, she should be ready.
I looked her up and she's FaithsFollower on BB...if you want to look her up. She seems nice enough but I'm not sure about maturity level. Just please please PLEASE don't let her submit a bio ripped directly from Buffy. I'll never be able to take it seriously lol

yeah im working w/ her on tightening that up now b/c it was all over the place. I don't mind her borrowing from Buffy if that's her source of ideas like mine is Marvel or Sam's is soaps BUT to just RIP word for word isnt good. Ikaris took me to task about that when *I* first started in the ADA/FGB & if nothing else, I credit him for making me THINK & get creative w/ what i wanted to do. He said "You want to use Magik/Darkchilde? That's fine but you MUST make her your own. You can't just copy her from Marvel."

No, nothing specific, she just seems young in her posting. Like she's not from what I can tell that interested in posting on "serious" Buffy topics, more the garbage-y off topic stuff and what not. I had made a note about her being supportive of other members though.
My main concern is really whether she'll stick with this though, cause I have my doubts about that.

thats a concern i have as well. in our communications thus far i've constantly reiterated that she's asking for & being considered for joining the MAIN PERMANENT CAST & that requires consistency & commitment. I've been quite up front about what I expect & what we need in the game as far as a player who helps us go forward.
She's consistantly affirmed she wants to do this. B/c she's been nice & seems to to be capable, once her character is spruced up, I'm willing to give her a try.
Keep in mind we were all "beginners" @ one point & look where we are now w/ this hobby :nod: Unless my judgement is WAY OFF here, I think she'll take to it :nod: but we'll have to see.
lol I'm not bagging on her lol, I'm just being honest. It's easy to be enthusiastic at the beginning, but it's not so easy to keep coming here every day after a few weeks...
I don't know anything about her writing so I don't have concerns because she may or may not be a beginner at RPing, I just have concerns about basically everyone at BB, especially about whether they can act like an adult.

just saying you're not by yourself in your concerns. i havent had a NEW player to bring into the six in quite sometime and aside from our usual group (including heather and brandon) i had a failed attempt w/ DonDaddyD & before that there was Rich (Bane) who started off good but totally flaked out Of course we'd like @ least one other male player & character but really whoever it is, I want them to STICK. I'm still disappointed by Heather & Brandon. Not STUCK on what they did...just don't like how they did it.
Well it would have taken very little for Brandon to send you an email or write a pm saying he couldn't participate anymore...rather than just disappearing then coming back and saying NOTHING.
Is it bad that "My character is just awesome" makes me really really nervous?
