So here i will try to post some recipes and some pictures for the recipes that i post.

Unless it is necessary b/c some components of the dish needs it to be correct i will not write down the amount of each ingredient (mainly out of lazyness :p) neither will i write down salt & pepper because in most of the dishes that is always a necessity

Rib Eye, with garlic haricot verts, balsamic cherry tomatoes and homemade potato salad
proxy.php

Ingredients:
Rib eye - Sear the rib eye in a pan, you can either cook it all the way there or put it in an oven to get it the way you want it to be.

Potatoes
Mayo (1 part)
Sour cream (2parts)
Parsley (or the herbs of your choosing) - Cut the potatoes into ca 1x1 cm pieces, boil them and then mix the mayo, sour cream and herbs together and when the potatoes is cooled of mix them together. PS! you can vary this potato salad the way you want to, use youghurt or light products instead of sour cream, you can also ditch the mayo if you want to)

Haricot verts
Garlic clove - rub the garlic clove in a pan, then use a little bit of butter or oil in the pan and roast the haricot verts.

Cherry tomatoes
balsamic vinegar
olive oil - mix balsamic vinegar with olive oil, cut the tomatoes in two then drizzle the mix over the tomatoes, put them in an hot oven for a few minutes.

PS! I would love some feedback.
Also tell me if i should use links instead of pic's in the thread.

PSPS!
Also i would love some other recipes i can "borrow" pictures is always welcome :D

YOU made all these things? they look VERY visually appealing!

I like the 2nd dish. I've cut down on alot of red meat but I'll still have a little here & there as long as there's plenty of veggies to go w/ it & i see you've included that.

The last desert looks very tempting too!

I wish you'd been around when I was asking for crockpot(slow cooker) soup recipes a little while ago! I love stews & the like & winter time is the best time to make them.

Thanks :)

The one's with meat i made at home, the cake and dessert is from a restaurant i used to work at, the 2nd one was actually dinner today.

I don't have so many recipes for crockpots and stews, i don't make it that often, but it's something i've been trying to improve on.

So next saturday it's my b-day and im making dinner for some friends, so i bought in some ingredients already

The flavours will be: Roe deer (a roast) redbeets, parsnips + some more for the entree, and for dessert something with cloudberries :D

So here i am doing a bit of necromancing.

This is a Duck leg & risotto

You need:

Duck legs
Risotto rice
White wine
Chicken stock or vegetable stock
Parmesan
Shallots
Oranges
salad (i used a feldt salat for this one)

-Pan sear the legs
-Wash the oranges and get the zest and the juice
-Clean the shallots
-Turn on the oven, i'd say about 160-180 degrees celsius
-Put the legs in a ovenproof container when they have a nice sear, also put in the shallots
-Pour over the juice, zest and add some of the white wine (not all you need some for the risotto
-The legs can stay in the oven for about 1 hour

-When it's about 15 minutes be ready to make the risotto
-Use a good solid pot, preferably one with a thick bottom
-"Toast" the rice in there first with no oil for a few minutes, the rice should be warm, but still white, then add some oil (olive, or sunflower should do nicely, add some finely chopped shallots
-Let it fry for a minute or two, the shallots should not change color
-Make sure you have some warm chicken stock close by, pour in some white wine, when it starts to evaporate, add some of the stock, but not too much
-Add more stock, but just so it covers the rice, when it starts to evaporate, add more, do this for about 15-20 minutes, after 15 minutes you can start to check if the rice is done
-Turn off the oven and take out the duck legs, but not let it get cold
-Add parmesan into the risotto, for the good creamy finish

When the risotto is done, put it on a plate, add duck legs and salad, also add the shallots who cooked together with the duck legs. You can always slow roast the duck legs in the oven instead of braising them if you want to.

omg that pumpkin soup looks so good! i want you to come to my house & cook for me! :D
Thanks, it really tasted good, i used a butternut squash type, pan seared the seeds and used them on top with the salad and some sour cream.

The flavor was more sweet than i thought, but still i was really satisfied with how well it went.

I will try to post more pictures and recipes as well, good feedback makes me want to make more :D

Also as far i remember the soup was really easy to make, it didn't take long either.
