Since the overwrought House of M and the effects of "m day", "decimation" etc, there have been several stories that attempted to delve into the details of what Wanda did and if there was a way to undo them. We know about the "the collective" which was all the displaced mutant energy/power signatures now housed within a man who was serving on Omega Flight. Scarlet Witch was living as a mortal in Tansia with no memory of who she was or her involvement in House of M but that was recently revealed to be a Doom robot so she's apparently in Doom's custody now. Hope Summers is the first mutant born POST M Day and bares a striking resemblance to jean, has a link to the Phoenix Force and has located 5 OTHERS born post M.
I personally think its a BAD idea to return Scarlet Witch to any Avengers team as a "hero". If other BETTER characters had to crash and burn for the disasters they caused (Dark Phoenix, Madelynne Pryor, Magik etc) Wanda deserves to be punished and should answer for what she did as well.
On one hand, M day cleared out alot of the STUPID characters Grant Morrison flooded marvel with, making mutants seem TOO common on the other, many GOOD characters like Jubilee and Wind Dancer were depowered as well.
I'd like to see some characters like Moonstar get their powers back and i'd like to see some true reprocussions to Wanda for what she did. Bendis screwed it up, but a good writer could easily fix what he broke.
Do you think the writers of various books from the x-men to the avengers are laying the ground work for something that undoes "no more mutants" on a marvel universe wide scale?
