Everytime I catch this hilarious movie on television I see the tail end. :( Has anyone seen this movie and what are your thoughts on it? I liked the plot of it and the humor involved. So far my favorite scene is the dance sequence at the end with Romi, Michelle, and their friend (Alan Cumming) dancing. LOL! :D ;) I probably laughed for several minutes.

And then when the one guy was hitting on one of the girls and she told him to get naked, she'd be right up. LOL! That was great too, I'm guessing he was a jerk in High School?

I'll have to just purchase the DVD or rent the movie to see it all the way through. :D
 
Cutest. Eighties Novelty Movie. Ever. Also incredibly funny! Yes, absolutely you should rent it or put it on your Netflix list or something. SO funny! Also the soundtrack rocks my socks off.

this was one of the FIRST in the trend of "eighties nostalgia" films that started in the mid to late 90s. it was released in the spring of 1997 and i love both Mira Sorvino and Lisa Kudrow so i went out to see it opening weekend.

I LOVED this movie. the music, the fashion, the catty and bitchy battles between Romy, Michele and "the A group" and of course "Heather Mooney" played by Jeanine Gurafalo.

I have BOTH sound tracks to the movie and it remains one of my favorite dvd's to watch to this day. i've even gotten some of my male friends to watch it and once they gave it a chance...they were laughing and enjoying it too.

one of my FAVORITE parts is when Romy and Michele are coming out of the bathroom of that little diner on the way to their runion and they've just suited up in their "business women" outfits....

Romy: now remember..from this moment we are sophisticated, successfull, educated career women!

Michele: right!!

Michele: gawd!! this...underwear is totally riding up my butt crack!!

I love when they ask the pitstop woman for the Business Woman's Lunch Special lol! I lost it! Or when Michelle tries to scare that kid in the window of the car and she is all "Oh no! I was trying to scare your son!"

Oh! And you can't forget! "Oh RAMON! You are Colombus and I am America! Discover Me!" LOL
 
Heh. Yeah I love this movie oh so much, can watch it over and over again, never gets boring. Me and my friend Fran have to see it every time we meet (then again, we've only met once yet, but still :D ).. Awesomely great, mhm.
 
LOL! I saw more of this movie today. I missed about the first half hour. But I was laughing my ass off when they borrow Ramone's car. You see the car riding along with the Foot loose soundtrack and then BOOM! The car stops with smoke coming from the tail pipe. LMAO!! I was dying in laugher. :p

The movie is great, I need to purchase it on DVD. I loved the ending "at least we're not fat." LOL!

And Romy and Michelle walking on the treadmill with heals on. You see everyone else with running shoes. :D
 
I dont remember this movie being that great. i guess i have to see it again.
 
It So Rocks!

This is definitely one of my most favorite movies and I CANNOT believe that I didn't post in this thread already! *laughs* I makes me glad that I attend home school. High school must be mega miserable. *pouts* I LOVE Heather Mooney. She is so much like me! Even the going behind the building to smoke part! *laughs* Each and every part of this movie makes me laugh…and that’s a difficult task to fulfill. For sure. The soundtrack is the greatest soundtrack EVER and I listen to it over and over and over and over again!
 
omg this film is a classic.... I love Lisa Kudrow.... Shes awesome... so cute the two girls in the film (Romy and Michele) and Clairvoyance I loved Heather too!!!!!!! Shes an aweosme actress.. very well done!! I also love the fact that they prentended they invented post-its... so funny..
 
This movie rocked and I'm surprised there wasn't some sort of sequel or something. Like twenty - years later or something lol. I'll always remember that one scene when they are driving and the car blows the tailpipe LOL! I laugh so hard everytime I see it, just thinking about it has me laughing. I really need to buy the DVD. ;)
 
I love this film! Everytime its on television or I see it in the video shop i just want to watch it!! I love it heaps.. lol I love Heather.. lol cracks me up.. and yeah all your quotes listed above are all classic.. i love the scene where Romy is pretending to have sex in the car sales office just so she can get the car... thats right ey? havent seen it in a while...
 
that scene was hillarious! she told him she wasnt gonna have sex with him just to borrow his stupid car and then he was like "well i gotta get SOMETHING" so decides to PRETEND to have sex with him LOL! :haha:

^lmao.... yeah the movie is classic.. I just love Lisa Kudrow too... every time I hear the song "time after time" I just think back to that scene with both the girls dancing with im an ex geek but now I’m Mr.Rich who arrived in a helicopter .. .. the dance. wasn’t even that good.. But still I love it :D
