Rocky Balboa

I've not seen it and I really have no inention to but seeing as its Rocky chances are they will have him win the fight.

i thought this was the best rocky since the first. it was kinda touching.

why is it that a man who is OBVIOUSLY past his prime in looks (and acting ability) can release a sequel to a film from over 20 years ago and it gets rave reviews...and yet a WOMAN (i.e. Sharon Stone) can release a follow up to one of her greatest movies (Basic Instinct) and while it IS a guilty pleasure to watch and visually stunning...it still gets snubbed by critics?

to me this movie (Rocky Balboa) prooves that the hollywood industry will cater to men...no matter HOW old they are (just look at how Jack Nicholson is STILL portrayed as a man to be desired by women young enough to be his DAUGHTER or GRANDDAUGHTER).

I agree. I hadn't actually seen any of the Rocky movies, and my friends were like "whaaaaat!?" so they made me watch the first movies and clips from the rest of them with them before we went to teh cinema. And I gotta say I liked it. It's not really my kind of movie and I probably won't see it again, but my two awesome guy friends were like crying 'cause they thought it was such a huge moment etc. It was kinda sweet. Heh.

(Having said that, I don't in any way disagree with what Spellbinder said.)
