Rock & Roll Hall of fame 2015 inductees

I thought Green Day felt too current to be inducted.
But apparently they released their first record 25 years ago which is enough to be eligible.

Agree about Joan Jett. Great to see her there.

That was my first thought about Green Day too. Time flies though, it's hard to believe they've been in the game that long, since 1987! They had a comeback in a big way w/ American Idiot onward.

My fav Joan Jett song is Bad Reputation :D

I'm really happy to see Green Day included. I still remember the first time I heard Dookie back in high school. It is one of the greatest albums i've ever heard. Their music really stands the test of time and they have evolved, unlike other bands from before and during their era. Not to mention the success of American Idiot: The Musical, which was pure genius and one of my favourite shows.

Happy for Joan Jett and the Blackbirds

but wow I had the same thought on Green Day it seems like they just hit I can't believe 87 was when they started
