Is there something about you that most people don't know? What kind of secrets do you have? What qualities make you interesting as a person?

Reveal it all here!

Me, start? Very well.

My secret is that I'm a clinically diagnosed nymphomaniac. :hehe2::theman:

Honest. Though you probably wouldn't guess it by looking at me.

Who's next? :happy07:

you sure this isnt meant for the "say something outrageous" thread? :sure:

I dont know what i could reveal that most people here don't already know.

I have Generalized Anxiety Disorder...i suppose people wouldnt know that about me.

no its much more than that. actually, i can do anything I need to do on any given day, including speak in front of a crowd.

GAD is more pervasive...it creeps up and overtakes you like a fog..is the best way i can describe it. there's a feeling of dread that intensifies and sometimes you dont know why or what is the reason for it but THAT is when anything becomes a difficulty. it can even cause acute panic attacks.

(someone else REALLY needs to post now LOL)

Wow, nifty secrets you guys. :D

My little secret is usually not up for discussion because I'm a very private person. When I was a child, in the second grade I was diagnosed as having a learning disability. I was put into Special Education classes and I couldn't read in the third grade. I was really unorganized and I couldn't remember things. I think it coincided with having my skull cracked open from a bike accident when I was seven.

As such, I taught myself how to read because I was fiercely determined and stubborn. I got into reading about astrology, psychology, and horror novels. By the time I was tested on reading in the seventh grade I scored as a second year college student.

But, I was pretty much the underdog. Teachers and faculty didn't think I would graduate High School or ever enroll into college. But, I learned to compensate for my disability by learning in other ways with silly sentences, writing things down, repeating things, and learning how to manage my time and organize my life.

I also graduated within the top one hundred of my class out of nearly three hundred kids. I also went on to college.

I never told anyone that only family, ex's or people I could trust. Its something that's I don't want pity for or anything.

well a little secret about me not to be left out . . . i have bouts of depression, heavy depression. Its not a chronic thing but it happens and i can't control it. Everything seems empty and meaningless, its kind of like the color drains from the world. Its odd, I'm in a dark place but I do some of my best writing and thinking when I feel trapped. It comes and goes and after its gone its like I'm me again and i can simile

These revelations are interesting! Share more of them!

I street race and almost drifted off the edge of a cliff once. It was rainy and I stupidly took the turn too fast, spun out and almost knocked through the guard rail at 65 mph. I was a few feet away from plunging 50 feet into the ocean below.

I've had a total of five concussions as a result from two bike accidents, falling on the ice, and slipping at the restaurant lol.

I've never broken a bone though but I can pop my right shoulder in and out.

I'm double joined in my left hand, which is amusing.

When I was around seven, my brother and his friends were playing baseball in our yard. My brother is seven years older than me. But the phone rang when my brother was up to bat, which he had a steel baseball bat. I thought I should run towards the house to answer it. I ran right into his swing that the bat struck me in the eye. As a result I see lighter in one eye and darker in the other.

I dabble in astrology and have read/studied the pagan traditions and its wiccan offshoots. I pretty much practice solitary. this was LONG BEFORE Charmed debuted and every little wannabe gothic poser girl decided that she was wiccan or a witch.

I grew up with my dad being an alcoholic and because of that i'm deathly afraid that i'll somehow loose control with alcohol too if I don't keep myself in check.

I hate taking showers....not because I don't like getting clean, but because i'm really grossed out by stray wet hair on my body. I don't know, i've been like that since I was little lol.

I too have GAD, but because I haven't been health insured since I was 18 i've learned to deal with it without the help of medication.

I have 4 tattoos! :D

Damn, four tats? Nice! What and where do you have them?

I've got only one tat but I plan to get another something to represent my Irish roots. :hehe2:

I've got a 'beauty mark' on the right side of my lip.

^^ Stars and moons streaming down my right hip bone [technically that one is two tattoos in one. i had originally just had stars done then i added onto it a year later], chinese symbols meaning 'never give up' on my upper left butt cheek lol. kinda where my butt meets my lower back. a small daisy on my foot nearest my pinky toe, and a small star where my neck meets my shoulder.

they all really random i know, but they each have a special meaning to me....aside from the star on my neck which i just got because i thought it would look cute :p

I've gotten 15 traffic tickets. But to be fair, four of those were at one time and I've only gotten 1 ticket in the last 8 years.

I suffer from a really bad case of TMJ [which effects the jaw joint] and my jaw locked shut for about four months straight a couple years back. I was only able to open it a couple centimeters, enough to pull apart food and eat it. I still have problems with my jaw to this day and can only open my mouth fully if I unlock my jaw manually.

Aww, Sam, that sucks. :( I had a girl I went to school with that happened to her.

I'm left handed but I'm also ambidextrous at times as well.

When I was young (in the second grade) I used to be so against people who wore fur coats. But then I grew up and got a leather coat with fur on the back of it. :D Opps lol.

Don't the doctors have to take a hammer to your jaw if it gets bad enough?

^^ Yeah, I need to have surgery in order to correct it. They have to break my jaw and reposition it to where it's supposed to be then sew my mouth shut for a month. I've held off on it because...well it's scary lol.
