So i was watching 4400 with my roommate and we got talking about promicen. Its a special neurotransmitter from the future. you take it and you have a 50% chance of either death or superhuman powers.IS the price worth ? would you take the shot? gamble your life to become superhuman . . . .
 
I really think i would get it the second i could but wouldn't take it for a few months. Its a tough choice to become something more than human at the cost of death.its really a difficult decision. I be too scared of the risk to gain the ability. I think i only take it if i felt it was my only chances at some kind of greatness.
 
Im not sure about this one, i mean it would be pretty awesome to have powers, but i love life as well. Of course life could be more exciting with powers. If i was the only one with powers im not sure i would do it, i'd probably end up as a guinea pig for some crazy goverment. Unless i got powers like Magneto, then i'd be a megalomaniac :D
 
There's no tradeoff, right? I can't take half of it for like a 25% chance of death but less potent powers? :D

I wouldn't wager my life on a coin flip. A six-sided die maybe, but 50/50 isn't just reckless - it's stupid. ;)
 
One straight 50/50 shot. i just think its something to wonder about. I think most people at sometime wonder what its like to be greater or truly special but not many think of the price treatment like they could cost or whether they could/would pay it.

Well that's why I said if I did it it would be during a moment of weakness. Because of course gambling with death is not spot on, but hey, you have a bad day...
 
Yeah, you're right Vil. My initial response probably stems from losing too much at blackjack. ;) :D

Maybe I'd be more apt to take it if I knew just how powerful it'd make me. Is this superman powerful?
 
No (well on the show at least). It's like everyone gets one power, but it's different for everyone. One guy can heal, one has visions of the future, one is telekinetic, one can purify water, etc.
 
I have to agree with Vil (for once lol) on this one. :nod: I would buy it but keep it around for when I needed it or in the moment of weakness. I wouldn't have the courage to take it with a gamble of my life.
