Planking?

its a game, you play by finding weird and odd places to say flat as a board (or like a plank) then you get someone to take a picture. its nothing major, just something stupid to do with your friends that doesn't hurt anybody. All you need to play is a camera/phone and a place, easy enough for most people.

You might be hearing about it more now become some moron thought it sounded racist because the name planking is a little close to how slaves would be packs like planks in slave ships. Then as always it exploded from there.
 
so its a silly fad? LOL :haha: i guess one would really have to be pressed to want to do this. i remember reading about fads in the '20s like flagpole sitting or goldfish swallowing...so i guess this falls in w/ those as far as odd things that someone w/ too much time on their hands would do.


as for it being "racist?" of course everyone is entitled to his/her own opinion but since when was Xzibit known for being a man of enlightened thought? much less a speaker for the black community. isnt he one of several "rappers" from the "bitches n ho's" era of hip hop? that would make him sexist & misogynistic towards black women....women in general & yet here he is screaming racism about this?

I haven't planked myself, but I was at Universal 2 weeks ago with my sister and we were walking in the City Walk and we saw a girl planking on a Nascar car lol. It was the first time I had actually seen it done live instead of just pictures of it.

And Xzibit is being dumb about it. Slaves were indeed stacked on top of each other during the Middle Passage, but I sincerely doubt that they volunteered for it while their friend took pictures.

Didn't MTV cancel his show? This is what happens when bad rappers have too much time to their own, we need a new show called Xzibit explains the internet with him trying to explain all the memes, inside jokes and little things. i think it can get at least 2 seasons and 40 "Yo Dawgs"

Exactly. I would TRY to defend this if it were Chuck D of Public Enemy or KRS-ONE or anyone who had made a single song that TRIED to mean anything other than rocking the club I would say "he is oversensitive but at least he is mindful" or SOMETHING. I would make the effort to understand. But fucking Xzibit?!!
