I'm sure most of you have seen the movie, Phantom of the Opera, but my question is have you seen the musical? I saw the musical about two weeks down in New York City for the first time. I really enjoyed it immensely. It was exactly like the movie or vice versa. I was intrigued by the various stages though the most. Each scene had its own stage, and I really enjoyed that. I had Orchestra seating so I was able to see the stage very well. The dungeon scene was probably my favorite when the Phantom takes Christine to his lair. The singing was just as amazing as the movie. I can see why Andrew Lloyd Webber is so highly praised with this film.

I liked the large chandelier falling on the crowd, that was a nice touch. But, all the actors were genuinely sweet and down to earth. I would see this musical again.

So, my other question is, if you have seen the musical what are your thoughts? Did you enjoy it or did you despise it? And why?

I haven't seen this musical but I really want to. I'm a musical fan (both movie and stage, although I haven't seen that many stage ones), but I was actually pretty disappointed with the "Phantom of the Opera" movie, but I do like the music and would love to see it on stage....

I really enjoyed the movie, its almost exactly like the movie with a few minor differences, including the ending. The stage work for the play was superb. I was in awe at everything I saw from the costumes, the stage and props to the singing. I would recommend this to anyone. I would return to NYC to see this.

I'm looking into tickets for Beauty and the Beast, which is having its last run either next month or July! I haven't seen that so I wanna catch it before its too late.

Aw okay, well I guess what I didn't like about the movie was that I thought some of the actors were a bit blah, like they weren't half as powerful as I like characters in musicals to me. Guess that's a personal preference though. The story itself, and the music, was great though.

(My favourite musical ever is of course Les Misérables, and I'd do anything (except for paying lots of money that I don't have, heh) to see it again..)
