People magazine's "World's most beautiful woman" 2012

I think that's a nice picture of her but YES her skin is definitely lighter than in the past! Maybe it's just the lighting though.

I don't like Michelle Williams much though.

Those lists seem to have just become "who is popular this year" rather than really trying to find the most beautiful celebrities.

That's a horrible picture of Miranda Lambert but I think she's quite beautiful.
 
how is Christina Hendrix only 6th? And i think they been lightening Beyonce's skin in photos for a while now, a while ago a magazine got in trouble for doing it to Kim Kardashian i think
 
Agree BK. Christina Hendricks is stunning. I wish I could pull off that red lol.

And DAMN does Charlize Theron look beautiful in that picture. She should have been number 1 in my opinion.

And as someone who is reasonably fair-skinned and who has a daughter who is even MORE fair-skinned, the sun on a given day, the seasons and DEFINITELY the lighting can add several shades to one's skin tone.

As for Michelle Williams, she looks GREAT! I have a friend who used to date her, I will have to give him a ring tomorrow, lol.

Now you know a baby's features may change a bit as they grow older. Just like a baby w/ blonde hair as an infant may turn into a brunette as they grow older.

Beyonce was never THIS fair skinned even back on her days w/ DC. Her cover photo on her latest album was what really struck me about the change in her appearence. Wouldn't being in the sun darken or tan one's skin rather than lighten it?

Your friend dated Michelle Williams?? When was this?
 
Dawson's Creek was filmed LITERALLY 5 minutes from my house and I went to the University they used in the series. He dated Williams when she was on it back in the day and for some time in fact. I don't doubt it because he 1) mentioned it before I even knew who she was and 2) his wife looks a LOT like her. That look is apparently his type though he is happily married and now just a fan.

And if you are fair-skinned and Black, you can easily gain and lose shades. I am always lighter (sometimes a LOT lighter) in the winter as opposed to August. Additionally, I can look a lot lighter in bright lighting than in shadow.

Seriously, the skin tone thing is a tough one because it is very hard to say what shade she really is or when any picture was taken. I would say that I see a lot more Beyonce pics than anyone here and I just don't see it. I would doubt she is lightening herself thought to be fair you simply cannot know. But as someone who knows a lot of very fair-skinned Black people...damn near anything is possible, including periodic darkening AND lightening.

that's interesting :) from alot of interviews ive read w/ her, she seems like a very fun, down to earth woman.

& yes...we know you're a BIG Bey fan :p so of course you'd spend more time looking @ her than someone like me.

i guess there's no telling, especially w/ magazine & album pictures. but we know some ppl HAVE lightened their skin like Sammy Sosa.
 
Sammy Sosa was so OBVIOUS, and whenever you have someone who is truly brown-skinned it will be. And it is sad, because he looks a thousand times worse having done it.

As for Be...no way of knowing. But I am glad she made it. And I cannot help but wish they could have found just a LITTLE more color in their top 10, though all of them are indeed very beautiful.
