who hear does it w/ regularity? have your traveling habits changed b/c of turmoil in other parts of the world or growing "anti american sentiment" or just how overall difficult it is in a post 9/11 world?

is there a place you oreally want to visit?

Ive been to various parts of Canada, while its not "overseas" its still another country & I've been to Germany. I'd really like to visit Australia. I've taken the time to read about the country but there's still an air of mystique about it to me that intrigues me & i'd like the chance to meet/interact w/ some people there.

I'm not in a rush though. Traveling within the US is such a pain these days & I'd rather not be bothered if I don't have to.

I have never been outside North America. I would absolutely love it if I could go to Europe. They have some of the most beautiful buildings/architecture over there.

I would go to Paris just to check out the Eiffel Tower, walk along the Seine, maybe check out a pastry shop or two, oh, and of course see the Louvre. I know that the Mona Lisa is nothing to write home about despite the fact it's one of the most talked about paintings ever but I'm sure the Louvre has some other treasures there. After all, if it's true you can't see the entire mueseum in a day, there has to be some treausres still waiting to be discovered. I also would like to go on the "Da Vinci Code". Love that book.

I would go to England just because I have friends there and also I am a royalist at heart. They have some pretty cool buildings too. I also would love to go to England because of a personal thing too. Backstory: I was at a Christian school of ministry back in 2006; it's international. People from all over the world come here and it's small enough that you all become like family. The one that I was on was four months and it started Sept. 2006. Flashforward Sept. 2007: I found out during this month that a good one of mine from the school committed suicide. So I would love to visit his family and put flowers on his grave.

I would love to go Italy too, Rome especially.

There are many places I would love to go in Europe.

I haven't been in a while - I think next I want to go more Eastern Europe (Prague etc) as I haven't been east of Germany.

:)

Never been outside the country, but one of my top places I want to go is Australia. Granted, it's mainly because I turn into mush when I hear men with Australian accents [LOL :p], but I would also love to see the country. I would want to go diving in the great barrier reefs, swimming with sharks, laying out on the beautiful beaches, explore the outback. It just sounds like so much fun. A close 2nd and 3rd on the lists are Greece and Italy. You know how I love my Greek Mythology, so I want to go to Athens SO BAD. There's so much history over there, and the beaches are gorgoues. As for Italy, i'm intrigued by their history too, and all of the famous cities. And I would love to just eat everything in sight lol. That would be one case where gaining 10 pounds would be so worth it LOL.

I've been fortunate to travel a pretty good bit.

London (food = meh)
Paris x2 (friendlier than I expected)
Wales (awesome castles)
Niger (got chased by a hippo, no lie)
Jamaica x3 (jumped off a 40 foot cliff)
Mexico x4 (not as cool as you might think)
St. Thomas (amazing beaches)
St. Maarten (beach attire is somewhat more, um, relaxed ;))
Nassau (not impressed)
Grand Cayman x2 (swam with sting rays, rip Crocodile Hunter)
Canada (if that counts)
Hawaii (swam with giant sea turtles and one black tipped reaf shark)

I think that's it so far.

very well traveled indeed! :)
For me it's kind of the other way around, i'd like to visit the US and Canada, several of my friends really recommended Canada those are the kinds of places that hold a little mystique for me.

Australia also looks really awesome, the people, the nature, the beaches and the great barrier reef as mentioned before in this thread.

PS! Don't go to norway, it's not really a great place to be a tourist in and if any other ads tell you differently it's not true.:badboy:

In what way is it not great for tourists? Do the people not like them or there's not much to do or...?

:)

PS Welcome back SiD! :D

Oh they like tourists over here sure, but the way things are i really don't think it's worth visiting, our currency is strong and it just adds to the already expensive prices.
The nature is pretty but except from that it's not so many places worth seeing.

But maybe thats just me because i've lived here all my life and that makes me familiar with it all.

PS! Thanks, it's good to be back :xyxthumbs:
